Izuku Midoriya, age three and a half, dozed in the zombie's arms as he walked towards their home. He looked up at Kacchan, green eyes tired. The zombie jerkily looked down at him, giving him another soothing purr. The sun soaked in the zombie's uniform, making him feel like a furnace.

The child gave him a sleepy smile but didn't close his eyes. He looked over the blond's shoulder and immediately stiffened.

A man with shoulder length black hair was following them. He was at an incredible distance, but the toddler could tell he was stalking them. He saw Kacchan pause in response to his alert and saw him look around. He gripped the boys' white shirt, speaking softly, "It okay. It fine. Let's hurry home, Kacchan. I hungry." Kacchan stared at him softly, as if looking for something. After a while, the blond chuffed and continued the walk.

Aizawa gasped at where the zombie was toddling off to. The blond was walking toward the UA school for heroes! It wasn't as pristine and maintained as it was 17 years ago, but that was understandable. The moment the blond walked through the gates, it wrapped a hand gently around the boy's head and let out a roar. Aizawa gasped and hid in an alleyway across from the school.

The front of the school burst open, and four zombies were shuffling jerkily forwards. One had black and red spiky hair, uniform in rips; one had black hair with giant elbows, arms covered in scratches and dried blood; one had scum-covered blond hair with a black stripe, a giant bloodstain on his front; and one was pink (and the only female in the group judging by her uniform) and had pink hair and black eyes (the eyes were murky and cold), her bow ripped and dried blood against her temple.

All of them made no move on the child. In fact, the pink-haired one was patting him on the back! All five zombies communicated with each other with moans and grunts throughout the exchange.

Aizawa gaped at the knowledge that it wasn't just one zombie that was acting differently towards the child-all of them were docile and attentive at the green-haired tot. He took out his cell and captured a silent picture of the little boy.

He needed to find information about the child and he needed it fast.

"Kacchan..." The boy was sleep-talking in the blonds' arms, causing the zombie to let out an affectionate chuff. He lifted the kid higher, getting him settled before he turned towards the door. He walked forward, the four zombies following behind him dutifully.

Izuku groaned as he felt the light slap of Kacchan's arm nudging him awake. He rubbed his forehead against the teen's collarbone, getting rid of the fuzzies the only way a three-year-old could have.

"I want down." Kacchan let him down, following him closely (as much as a zombie could) as he walked to the door with a run-down sign that had big, red, faded letters: 1-A. The boy looked at Kacchan pleadingly. The zombie let out a groan and turned the handle.

Thirteen more zombie teens looked at the child. He gave them a tiny wave with one hand, the other one rubbing his eye to get rid of sleep. Some of the teens waved back in jerky movements; others gave him rotting smiles…but they made no move to get up to greet him. Izuku walked towards the corner of the room that held a portable stove and a saucepan.

Kacchan grew lax, the yellow backpack falling down his back. Izuku opened the zipper and took out the cup, heating the contents. Kacchan fell beside him, looking at the pot with interest. Izuku giggled at the look, the giggle getting even louder as Kacchan playfully nudged him.

When the contents were hot enough, he grabbed a plastic spoon out of the backpack and sat down in front of Kacchan. He took a spoonful and looked at the teen in front of him. "Say 'aahhh…'" Kacchan opened his mouth and Izuku fed him the spoonful of food.

He repeated the process five more times until a sound like crunching plastic interrupted him. Kacchan was nudging one of the wrapped rice balls, indicating to Izuku that he had to eat. "Otay, Kacchan. I eat now."

He picked up one of the rice balls and bit into it, the salty rice and kelp along with buttery salmon filling his mouth. After taking a couple more bites, he picked up the saucepan and spoon again, feeding Kacchan more of the Mapo tofu. He got up and walked to a nearby fridge and took out two bottles of water. He brought them to the zombie, trying to open the bottles. Tears of frustration filled his eyes as he continued to try to twist the lid with no avail.

He let out a little cry of victory as the soft 'snap' of the lid separating from the fastener. "Say 'aahhh', Kacchan." The zombie opened its mouth again and Izuku poured a tiny bit of water into his mouth. The zombie swallowed, allowing the water to fall down his throat.

"Kacchan?" The zombie let out a grunt, unfocused red eyes looking down at the child.

"I tired." The zombie jerked his head towards the black-and-red haired zombie, who had followed them in shortly after them. The zombie lumbered towards the switch and turned it off, darkness filling the room. The only source of light was from the window.

Izuku reached into his backpack and took out his blanket, an All Might pillow, and his star night light. He plugged it in and turned it on, the stars dancing on the ceiling. He crawled toward Kacchan, pillow and blanket in his grasp.

Kacchan already went down on his side, curling his body slightly. Izuku curled into him, his head nestled in the pillow. He raised the blanket over his shoulder, wiggling into the teen a little closer.

Kacchan purred deeply, allowing the child to finally relax.

Not ten seconds later, he was asleep.
