All Might looked at the phone, studying the picture intensely. Nighteye stood beside him, frowning in thought. Hizashi stared with wide eyes, cooing.

"Yo, you have a kid, Sho?! He's so cute! How come you never told me?!"

Aizawa turned his tired eyes towards his friend. "He's not my kid, Hizashi." At the use of his actual name, Hizashi turned serious. "He's someone I saw on the surface."

All Might dropped the phone, looking at Aizawa like he was insane. "The surface?! A child is there with those monsters, and you didn't think to save him?!" Aizawa sighed, picking up the phone.

"I didn't…because of this." He touched the screen a few more times and gave the phone to All Might again. The man took one look and gasped. Nighteye froze in shock, golden eyes widening so much, you can see the whites of his eyeballs.

The green child asleep, so calm and relaxed, in a blond zombies' arms.

And the zombie looking at the kid with a tender gaze.

"SAY WWWWHHHHHHAAAAAATTTTTTT?!" Hizashi screamed, his quirk being activated accidentally.

"Hmmm…how interesting." Everyone turned toward the owner of the fourth voice.

A white, bipedal animal took the phone from All Might, looking at the child, something calculating in his gaze. All Might ignored the white creature, snapping his fury-filled blue gaze at Aizawa.

"Are you insane, Aizawa?! Zombies surround that kid, and you left him with them?!" Nighteye gave All Might a concerned look, but Aizawa was too incensed by the accusing tone to give it much thought.

"I always had good instincts when it comes to danger towards myself and others and something told me that kid was safe."

"Regardless, that child could be the key to defeating these zombies." All turned toward the animal who was waving the phone with emphasis. Aizawa cleared his throat.

"Nezu, I get your point…but I'm not using that kid as a pawn." Nezu gave Aizawa a gentle smile.

"Don't think of it as using…think of it as saving. This kid might even help us save the zombies…a cure, if you will."

All Might looked up at Nezu, "A…A cure...? Y-you believe it is possible?" His voice was filled with hope.

Nezu smiled, "Of course. And I know you will help us succeed, Toshinori. After all, they were your classmates."

All Might stood in front of his old school, UA Academy, along with a small army of the people he saved in the bunker. He clasped a hand to his heart, eyes filled with memories.

"Toshi, Move!" A brown-haired girl jumped in front of the skinny blond, holding out her arm. A groaning man bit onto her arm, causing her to let out a wince of pain, fear already showing in her eyes.

"Uraraka!" The brunette turned toward Toshi, a small smile on her face. "Go, Toshi! You are the one that has to get out of here…" He froze as her shining amber eyes faded to a muddy brown, already looking at him with hunger.

"Urara-"

"You idiot!" A hand grabbed onto his wrist, causing him to stumble as he was pulled through the hallway. He heard explosions close to him and instantly realized who it was.

"Tsuki!" The spiky blond glared at his best friend as they continued to run.

"Get out of the way, you rotten extras!" He blasted everywhere, tears filling his eyes as he blasted Kirishima. He let out a wince as someone bit him.

Toshi's blue eyes widened, immediately filling with tears. "No…not you…"

Katsuki Bakugou gave him a sad smile as they stopped in front of a broken window. He gasped as he gripped onto Toshi's shirt collar. "Get ready to fly…stupid Toshi."

Toshi sniffled as he gripped onto his friends' shoulder. "No, don't leave me! You said you were going to be my hero partner! I can't do it without you!"

The red eyes were slowly dulling, but he fought through it as he looked at the teary blue. "Remember to save people with a smile, okay? Like we promised. C-can you show it to me?"

Toshi sobbed but smiled brightly, tears still falling down his face. Bakugou smirked.

"Heh…just like that." He groaned again, his skin already becoming paler. "Remember…train One for All and become the Number One Hero for both of us. I'll be rooting for you. Now go!" He yelled, using his explosion quirk to throw Toshinori out of the school.

Toshinori's last view of his best friend is seeing dull, red eyes staring at him from the window…

All Might closed his eyes, lightning surrounding his form.

Tsuki…I am going to save you. I am going to save all of you. Just hang on!

He sighed and turned towards the brave people who volunteered to get the zombies.

"Thank you all for coming with me! Our objective is to grab the kid that is in the picture I texted you. Don't kill any of the zombies! If you feel like you're in danger, there's no shame in going back to the bunker! Plus Ultra!"

The crowd repeated his sentiments, and they all marched into the school.

Kacchan groaned, tensing as he heard footsteps. The other zombies moved as well, sensing their leaders' feelings. Kacchan crawled on top of Izuku's form, crouching low to form a barrier around the child. The sudden increase of heat caused Izuku to wake up, immediately whimpering as he heard footsteps too.

"K-Kacchan?" The blond looked down, giving the boy a calming coo before turning back to the door. The moment a soldier showed up at the door's window, five teens ran forward, glaring and snarling at the human.

There's one thing some people forget when it comes to zombies. Whenever they see food or danger, the stiffness of their limbs turn to sharp, fluid joints…almost like they were when they were humans. A blue-haired, spectacled student was the one that opened the 1-A door and all of the zombies ran out, leaving Kacchan and Izuku in the room.

Kacchan grabbed the backpack and picked up the kid, walking closer to the door that the other zombies ran out of. He groaned and growled as he noticed some of his fellow classmates surrounded by a net of electricity. Other students were in handcuffs and muzzles. He growled again as his eyes met with the black- and red-haired student, who gave him an urgent groan.

Izuku gripped onto Kacchan's white shirt, tears of fright falling down his cheeks. Kacchan wrapped his arms tighter around the boy, looking up. His eyes widened as he saw almost all of the other soldiers aiming their guns at him.

His eyes widened even further at the buff blond, who was looking at him with tears in his eyes. There was something…familiar…

A soft whimper and tears pressed against his collarbone distracted him and he looked down at the kid.

"K-Kacchan…I scared…" A soft croon exited his mouth as he stared at all the soldiers. He crouched down, glaring. He let out a tiny grunt, Izuku nodding his head. The green-haired child wrapped his arms tight around the blond, legs wrapping around his ribcage.

Hizashi looked confused, lowering his shotgun. "What's going on? What is he-?"

A loud explosion sounded, filling the hall with smoke.

When the smoke cleared, both the zombie and child had disappeared.

Hizashi stuttered in shock, "They can use their quirks too?!"

The zombie kept clutching onto the shaking child, running through the street. He only stopped when he was five miles away from the school. He went to a nearby alleyway and closed his eyes, letting out weary groans.

"K-Kacchan?" The blond chuffed at the child. "Are the others g-going to be okay?"

Kacchan hissed, pulling the kid's head to rest on his shoulder. Izuku curled into a ball, crying softly at the loss of his friends. Kacchan purred, trying to calm the kid down.

Izuku was sad and scared, but he knew things were going to be okay.

After all, nothing could hurt him as long as he had Kacchan.
