Blitz sipped from his coffee mug, scrolling on his phone with his free hand. With no work in front of them, I.M.P. would face another unproductive day at the office.

Moxxie appeared in the doorway, knocking softly on Blitz's door, prompting the imp to look up from his device. He noticed the stack of folders in Moxxie's arms as his employee crossed the distance to the desk.

"Finally caught up on the paperwork. Sir." Moxxie said, placing the items on the desk.

"Good. Leave it there. We'll deal with it tomorrow. I'm thinkin' we should call it a day. Work's been pretty dead the last few days. I doubt it'll pick up this afternoon." Blitz sighed.

"I'm sure it'll pick up soon. We've had off days before., sir." Moxxie pointed out.

"Yeah, but it's been a while. We might have to come up with a new advertising strategy. I'm thinkin'-"

"We can't afford anything extravagant, Blitz. Our funds are pretty low. We talked about that yesterday. What if we-"Moxxie was interrupted by Blitz's phone. Blitz glanced down, ready to reject the call, but paused.

"A little early in the day for this," He grumbled. Blitz turned his attention back to his employee.

"Let's talk about this later. We'll brainstorm with Millie and Loony." Moxxie rolled his eyes. The 'brainstorming' sessions were always a disaster. He could already predict the outcome as he made his way out of the office.

Blitz sat at his desk, staring at the now missed call. He waited through the dial tone in slight annoyance.

"H-"

"Hey, Stolas, I saw you called," He said, interrupting the owl's greeting."Little busy with work and shit."

"I won't take up much of your time, Blitz," The imp was instantly alerted to the change in the prince's voice. "I-I suppose it could have waited a few days, but I hoped you would stop by after work. There's something I should tell you." Stolas replied wearily.

"Can't you just tell me now?" Blitz asked in a softer tone.

"I could I suppose, but it would be best as an in-person discussion. Sooner rather than later. I-"

"Stolas?"Blitz interrupted a second time.

"Yes, Blitzy?"

"You sound really fuckin' weird. Are y-are you okay?"The silence that followed was deafening.

"Stolas?" Blitz called again, his heart sinking.

"I'm not sure how to answer that, honestly. I don't mean to sound dramatic, but this situation is taking quite a toll. I warn you, it won't be an easy conversation."

"I can be over in about fifteen minutes," Blitz said, sliding off his chair.

"What about your work? It can wait for tonight. It would give me a chance to rest a bit."

"Do whatever you need to do. I'll see you in fifteen. You don't get to say shit like that and then tell me, 'It can wait'"

"I didn't mean to upset y-"Blitz scoffed.

"You don't get to say that either. I'm already on my way." The imp made his way into the lobby, hanging up his phone and ignoring the questioning glances from Moxxie and Millie.

"Where are you-" Moxxie began as Blitz opened the door, stepping out into the hall.

"I need you guys to hold down the fort. Not sure when I'll get back. If we don't get any clients, you can leave early."

"But Sir-" Moxxie began, shaking his head as Blitz disappeared from view, leaving his friends confused about what had happened.
