The office remains quiet; the only sounds heard being of Marco grabbing different supplies to disinfect and bandage Reader's injuries
"How many times have I told you to be careful?"
"Don't worry, barely even fee-OW."
Marco chuckled before continuing his work
"Even if I put you back together, it won't do any good if you keep being reckless," he said, taking a look at the cuts on her tail
"Am not, im always thinking one step ahead!"
"Which is why you're always covered in bandages?" Marco said with a sarcastic grin
She simply huffs in response
"Im covered in bandages because I'm teaching them a lesson; I get hurt sometimes, but im always the last one standing."
Marco sighed
"I get it you're stubborn and won't back down from a fight, but can't you be just a little bit less reckless? You're driving your brothers crazy; you're our only sister."
"Relax, I've got it handled."
He stares at her with an unamused star, flickering her ear
"Ow! What kind of doctor hits their patients!"
"One with siblings like you," he said, clearly not sorry in the slightest.
She glares at him
"I am an awesome sister, thank you very much!"
He rolled his eyes
"You're an awesome sister who causes constant headaches"
"Gotta keep you on your toes."
"If you could only keep yourself on your feet," he said while applying a painkiller gel to the cuts on her tail and bandaging it
"Lean your head down," he mutters
She dips her head as he applies the same gel on a cut she had on one of her ears
As Marco continued to put the bandages on her ears, his expression softened a little
"Please take care of yourself from now on; reel in those instincts of yours," he says, not expecting her to listen to him
"Im not just gonna let people push me around. I have to show them that these claws aren't for show."
"I'm not asking you to do that, but please try to pick your battles."
His expression softens, and he looks at her for a few seconds before speaking again
"I know you're the only girl among us, so you feel like you have to prove yourself all the time, but really… try to be more careful."
"They always look down on me for being the only girl, not to mention the way I look," she said, gesturing to her wolverine features
"So, of course, I have to prove the wrong."
He sighed before shaking his head and finishing bandaging her ear
"I know, but fighting won't change their attitude… you're still gonna be the only girl regardless of the scars you have."
He sighs at her frown
"Tell you what, "I won't stop you from fighting, but please tell me or one of our brothers next time you're gonna pick a fight so that we can be there to help, make sure they don't gang up on you, it's okay to defend your honor but be smart about it, don't let them lure you into where they have the advantage."
"So I can still fight them?"
He chuckles and rolls his eyes
"I said I wouldn't stop you, didn't I? So you can still fight them, just do it smart for once, and if you go off in pursuit of one of them, bring one of us along; otherwise deal's off, and im dragging you here myself, okay?"
"Okay!"
He smiles at her
"Good…"
He gets up and puts a hand on her head and ruffles her ears
"I always knew that under all that pride was a brain," he said teasingly
"OI"
