ep25 (w10 ep1) A Phone Call Before (340 words)

She thinks on how she never got deep into 'the real stuff' because she does not want him going around advertising about magic. considering he even got caught up on the fake versions, so best to teach him when he is little older and can keep quiet. but with this surprise visit, she does not know if she has a luxury anymore. she hopes it all goes to civilly as she gets the ingredients to cook and bake along with a basket ready to use the Night before Easter. as her mind drifts the phone rings.
ralphie mom just answers the phone then seeing it is her parents they said hi she said hi back. eventually they got to the topic after talking about their plans for the visit. did you hear the news. she did not so she said what mom politely. her mum (Ralphie's grandmother) said come on honey you know that the long lost legendary ship signal has moved from the ocean reef. Ralphie's mother said 'how is this big ,magical tools get repossessed all the time why talk on it' even though she knows the significance of such a situation even considering her parents mostly focus on The stuff that goes boo (or any other sound) (1) rather than the 'tool drama' she plays it cool. The mum (Ralphie's grandmother) said yeah but not one that has been lost for so long. it has decent power on it too enough to influence the entire area of the sea. The daughter said 'ya it can definitely be dangerous if left to its own device' as even she has to admit it is a powerful machine to have in unknown hands.
The mother (Ralphie's grandmother) agreed and said hopefully the person activates it is right or someone may have to see into it. The mother said understand knowing the universe that she lives in (even if those gadgets are usually out of the families 'interest') remembering about her fears about what the future has in store for their immediate family.
(1) - 'stuff that bumps around in the night' means traditionally supernatural creatures 'also referred to as 'monsters'. I am not sure how this will translate in a translator which is why I put a note here.

if only they knew who had the ship, their worries would be so wasted on him. weirdly enough the stuff before the phone call was from w3 but it got splintered in the final edit of the chapter and i decided to put this near the easter dinner, either as its own chapter or in another one since it was great dialogue, I chose the second. what does fate have in store for this family. you going to have to continue to see.
