ep31 (w13 ep1) The Easter Dinner s1 (Word count 727)
I made this chapter for the most part when I was pretty sure the other father was going to be booted and she was going to be a single mother as I mentioned back in week 2 ep3. The reason for that I realised was that the fandom Wiki listed him as a 'father' and the Wikipedia character page (from archive) mentioned his status as a stepfather which really confused me. (The fandom Wiki did mention a stepbrother though confirming the status of a stepfather). I know in regular life and even 'soap opera life' someone will interrupted someone in the middle of an argument if it is something they are not familiar with. but I decided not to wreck a good finished thing with other characters. you are just going to have to give a little more suspension of belief but this is a good chapter. though I will try to include the existence and give the stepfather a big role in future made chapters, sorry this chapter forgot half the immediate family, which is why I made those prequel chapter(s) last week.
I did a recap again below since this is one of the major episodes that are one of the ones I suggest people skip too. I label it s1 because Easter will likely come again for season 2 so I label the season in the episode title.
now the Episode everyone has been waiting for, hopefully I do not disappoint. granted I think I hyped this episode up so much I do not think anyone could do anything other than 'disappoint' but enjoy.

Previously on bus soap
she loved a 'vampire' then it all ended by her Brother's mark on her husband (The father of Ralphie, not the stepfather), she did not want to tell Ralphie but with this surprise visit, she does not know if she has a luxury anymore. , ralphie mother's brother says "it seems that he might end up showing up to dinner late. A pity", she hopes it all goes to civilly as she sets up for Easter , honey you know that the long lost legendary ship signal has moved from the ocean reef

Ralphie's family got ready for The grandparents to arrive. but the mum try well to make sure the traditions were done right including going to church and celebrating Easter was also was worried that her son might be in danger. ralphie is nervous. what would grandparents even be issue he can barely comprehend. but apparently she really means it when she says do your best behaviour.
anyhow The grandparents eventually showed up and went into the house 'from their travels' whatever that is. at this they sat at the table with the food blessed from the church earlier The night before. The talk was a filled with a lot of tense pleasantries tense enough for the grown-ups to see, not tense enough for the kid present to internalies. anyhow as the dinner continues other topics begin coming up as the grandma says. oh we heard someone has possession of the ship unless it is unaccounted for.
everyone knows the ship was special that information was about the magic tools was no is precious due to its mystery disappearance status. there has been many debates on what it can do so she understood why The both of them were nervous about its discovery. but even with this understanding the mom still tried to change the topic to more normal ones with varying degrees of success. not willing to deal with the things that lead to her and her families tenseness even if it was off the topic of 'stuff that bumps around in the night'(1).
The stepdad was about to interrupt to ask what this was all about during this whole thing but saw the faces of the two people talking which caused him to stop what he was saying in his tracks. but then The grandparents said something to her son that even shocked her they said to her son you were seen near the bus during that shenanigans. why are you even involving yourself there. ralphie does not know what to say. he did not expect anyone to know about the bus or any of that stuff so he says 'what do you mean.' hoping not to get in trouble. and that hopefully they will not ask more. Janet is really annoying but does he really wanna go into that. he still does not know if he is in trouble wondering if they think he took instead of Janet.
he decides to treat it like when the principal talked about it earlier that year or at least try to although it came out like. 'I, I mean, I did see a bus around school' before going into a joke with 'but ain't that where schoolbuses live.'
at the statement The grandparent said we were pretty sure we saw you near the bus but maybe you were just in the same facility the thing was going on over the place. The grandparents remembering the whole incident. The mother saying do you think my son has this ship. The grandparents say no I mean we are not sure but I think he was round one of the other ones. with mum wondering how or why her son would be near one of those objects adding another issue beyond the'heritage thing' when dealing with her family.
The grandparents said anyhow has everything been going, has anything unexpected happen. The mother knowing that they are referring to if he would be part something. The mother said no, The only time she remembers something strange was during that time she was sick during TV day and she did not really see signs much after so she tries to be satisfied with this response.
The grandparents are not satisfied though but they decide to stop pushing but not before they said one more statement they responded ok but we hope it does not come to the same situation that you came to your husband. though I am sure you already told the both of them that ending.
at that they ended it with The visitors saying anyhow this was a great feast and we greatly appreciate it and it was nice to see you again. with the mother saying a pleasant goodbye but thinking how everything would go if the ralphie is what they think he might be but she did not have time to think deep of that thought when the doorbell rang.
(1) - 'stuff that bumps around in the night' means traditionally supernatural creatures 'also referred to as 'monsters'. I am not sure how this will translate in a translator which is why I have the note here.

I kind of made the bulk of this chapter before I decided if it was going to be vampire or hunter on the mom side and was getting sick of making two versions for each so I made this vague. I did not make the the chapter for who ever is knocking that way though so stay tune.
In terms of the end of last week, there was one other chapter before this with her going to church for blessing The basket. (I made the chapter Midway from the previous one when I saw she was out blessing the basket during the father-son discussion,) (note is here because there was a chance I would published it and gave the weekend to think on it) I decided to remove it since there is so much I can screw up on a chapter dedicated to a religious ceremony. but that was the event I was referencing at the end of that chapter.
