ep40 (w17 ep2) Before the Shadow Come (Word count 224)
I cannot believe we have over 40 episodes even if on the episodes on the shorter end. we have crazy dinners haywire school pranks and a Magic bus that got joy rided. if I were to fix one thing I would try to make it go on a faster pace we have barely gotten 1 to 2 weeks in 40 episodes stuff that was supposed planned for in week 9 when I was doing week 1 appeared in week 13 (on the top of my head). by the time we got to the joyriding bus I was thinking some of these episodes 'jumped the shark' not to mention half the time requiring more edits then it took to write them in the first place.
hopefully I can insert more drama and less syndicated in the coming episodes go back maybe to the wackiness this was supposed to be. to be fair I do emotional stuff I do not really do storyline making. I want to people to give this a chance so I never said it out loud before but yeah, here we go.
..
In a world where Magic and Science meet. Where the mystical wonder, and tension is always at the surface just waiting to react. The Magical Generations.
everything continues to not exactly fall apart for ralphie but get weird. his mother tells him that his uncle is double checking his stuff which is what led to the delay did not help with his parents arguing or the stress of everyone involved like you would imagine. but next week he depending on how fast is uncle packs some of his stuff from his place will 'check up' on everything. his father is not happy at this realization. he has trouble figuring out his mum.
his step siblings seem to be confused in terms of not understanding what is happening about his uncle planning on 'watching him'. but in terms of how they are treating him , other than a few teasers along the lines of 'you got in trouble' towards the beginning after the whole 'Easter fiasco' all of that seem to pass once the whole 'getting in trouble' stuff was over with.
Ralphie currently imagining having powers which he hopes will, he is actually not sure what he hopes for on this one and he is excited about getting powers even on the lameor side (no matter how much his mother says they are cool) but that uncle is on edge like really on edge.
anyhow he should get ready to leave the House. he got meet up with some of his friends.
..
yeah he descended into badly aged slang 'on edge', best I got. also I hope the slang lamer slang is spelt right. originally I had it as lameor and the spelling above was the closest I could find on the Internet. I kinda would prefer not to have my care just talk like grammar robots considering they are supposed to be great school kids. this of course requires using lighter slang. it is unlikely any kids will be saying very lame instead of lamer in the context.
in terms of the episodes itself hopefully this tells you what is to come and tie it in the bow. I actually wrote here in the draft I was going to maybe do another week or 2 (probably to make resolution resolution for the 'recycling stuff'). this is because a lot of this chapter was also made around the same time the other post uncle visiting easter drafts were made, with the exception of the sibling portion. but I am likely to end here for the Summer as as I said in the previous chapter. I made the next week thing more up in the air because I have to see where I am at with everything. I think my outline is getting a new residency in the trash can minus of course the current recycling plot. The uncle will most likely appear again as soon as he is done packing up his stuff.
I plan on dealing with a writing style outline here in 'the studios'. in terms of length of each chapter and the amount of time I can take for each one. I guess I never thought the skills to continue a soap opera and the skills to make a soap opera are really different. probably because most of them have been made many decades ago, making it almost lost art. though when I really think about it the biggest problem is I really thought the Wikipedia and sources would be a lot more helpful and I will not have to just rely on my memory of these characters. The fact is there are things in there that were very useful and I would never have figured out on my own and I have to thank them for existing in the first place but other times it took probably 8 to 12 extra hours due to the lack of clear cut stuff. you do not have 8 to 10 extra hours for a soap opera. hopefully I figure something out, until then have the search for magic continue.
next week on The Magical Generations.
Summer Break (no episodes)
later on
revenge aftermath (as the recycling plant owner looks at the mess), more surprises yet to come
as the search on magic continues.
