"It's exhausting," Mike mumbles, his face buried into the couch cushions while AJ brushes her fingers over the back of his neck. "Babysitting Truth. I forgot how bad it really was." He turns his head to turn a baleful eye on her. "I think he's actually somehow gotten worse over the years. It's ridiculous."

She hums, continuing to massage some of the tension out of his muscles. "I know it was nice of you to help him against the Judgement Day, but maybe they were right all along."

He huffs out a mirthless laugh. "Yeah, I guess, they probably were." He grimaces. "You should come and help me, you'd probably navigate all of his nonsense a lot easier than I do, considering how well you handle the kids."

"Mmm, no, at least our kids are sensible. I'll leave him to you."

"Thanks," he mumbles, smirking helplessly as she laughs at him.

"Too bad Ciampa and Gargano are gone, at least they tried to help sometimes."

"Eh, I think they confused him even more, with the whole DX thing." Mike sighs. "What an exhausting man. I keep expecting him to give away title opportunities and making me wrestle unexpectedly. So far, we've escaped it, but I just feel it in my bones it'll happen at some point."

"Eh, you've wrestled unexpectedly before, I know you can handle it," AJ says, sprawling out over his back and nuzzling into his neck. "I believe in you."

"At least someone does," he grouses, making her giggle even more.

She hums and relaxes into him, pinning him deeper into the couch. "Are you comfortable?"

"Maybe?" he asks. "A little?"

"Good. Go to sleep." She kisses the back of his head and settles down against him, humming.

He considers sliding out from under her, but something about it is comfortable and quiet, so he gives him and closes his eyes, breathing evenly until he falls asleep.
