ep65 (w29 ep2) Wetting The First House (1148 words)

now onto the second half, I decided to split it since I think the other one was long enough for a chapter. it was really hard to decide which house since they both had their pros and cons. I was worried that having them do both would ruin the timing but I think they can wet two houses in one night and once I realized I can have them use the other device I changed my mind from the opportunity.

I would not even be surprised if you wanna skip this one even though I enjoy making it I do recognise this is heavy filler at worst worldbuilding at best if you are rushing through the story in one take. but still I have a lotta good segments in here so I hope you continue reading this chapter if you have the time. this prank will include water powers. it was cool to work with a very visible power and I hope I do it justice.

wow I just checked the timeline (on Monday but that note was too long) since I finally got around to outlining the timeline for the table of contents. (since a amount of the after Easter weeks occurred while I was more nervous about making sure the story made it onto the site rather than how to make the timeline obvious) I cannot believe that we are already in mid may in universe, not because we spent not enough time in April we were supposed to do it in real time but that someone vacation is coming in universe. (basically any storyline not finished would basically pass to be pointed to September on the kids end)

he might not have like this happening with the clothing and everything else but it became a chance to combine the two. they had trouble deciding which to do first or to only do one of them but eventually they agreed to first soaked Janets house and then sneak into to Arnold's.

as they drove there Poseidon says why do we need to prank them both I thought we already had a plan. Newton said 'we did but we realize there was something extra that needed to be done over there.' with the brother not liking what Bob did but not wanting to publicize the actual action. Bob said 'yeah yeah' thinking what her gadget did was a terrible act, thinking about how his pants looked foolish and pink.

they continued it until they got there in which they stopped the casual back-and-forth knowing they had something to do. as they pulled in Bob ended it saying to Newton 'you are the one who wants the extra thing done anyhow.' with Poseidon saying 'if you want anything extra night we better get moving.' going back to the subject at hand with Bob saying 'ok are you able to put water all over the place.' Poseidon then saying 'of course but anything more specific or is that still the same from what you originally planned.' Poseidon slightly annoyed about some of the changes and just confused considering Bob's 'better work' attitude.

Bob said 'what we originally thought up of course.' Poseidon says 'ok now all I need is water to manipulate.'Bob saying 'and there's nothing you can do about it.'Bob remember him mentioning some limitations when working with him for a few jokes but does not know if he should believe those limits or if they were more 'practical'. Poseidon says 'most of the water is inside other houses and unless you want a quick splash on the window from anything left over from a hose or something.'

Bob says 'there is no water come on there's probably something somewhere like I thought you would make a big wave. maybe you can take some from the ocean if you are really that desperate if somehow no one has any water outside the house.' Poseidon says 'you mean you want me to have liquid float across town, that would go over nicely.' Bob said 'well you better make the water that is there work.' Newton says 'sure because forces of nature will better work for you Bob. Bob says just because my powers aren't fancy does not mean I am going to let this slide.' Newton says 'of course not because that has worked so well for you.'

Bob going back on subject after growling says 'how about you wet the inside of Janets mom's house.' Poseidon says 'they left nothing out, everything is dry'Bob says 'just take it from the pipe yourself or whatever it is you do with liquid.'with Poseidon saying 'that will lead to a busted pipe which will definitely wake them up, something I do not understand why both of you care about.'Bob want to have it at him but knew he did not want to talk about the gadget. Newton saying 'so we can prank them both along with not get caught.' Poseidon still not understanding considering the nature of the prank but listen anyway. Newton then said 'how about the hose.'Poseidon says 'that could work. Bob says you will still be able to get the inside of those windows though. Newton looking at him thinking we are so wasting time. with Bob adding 'and possibly a little bit of a indoors attack. I just suddenly thought that and that will definitely have them see something happened immediately.' making a knowing Poseidon saying 'not unless you could move the window or something.'Bob said 'I can make it work.'

After Poseidon shows the attack points they leave and sneak quietly. at which point Bob activated the borrowed tool out of Poseidons sight and had it sneak to find the on switch to turn on the hose. when they made it to the hose Bob said 'I think we are far enough away.' Newton said 'I still think it is a bad idea to have you use that tool to turn it on.' Bob says 'it is not like you have a better idea.'with Newton answering 'get it over with', not wanting to lengthen the discussion or get into what lead to the scenario, Bob possibly confusing Poseidon's power. at which point Bob activated the borrowed tool out of Poseidon's sight and had it sneak to find the on switch to turn on the a little zigzagging after turning it on. with Newton saying figured everything out yet. with Newton saying 'is everything as it should be.'Bob annoyingly answering 'back yes everything is as it should be.'Newton said 'then I guess it is time to begin the main portion.'

when is the thing was on and the device was back in order Bob adjusted the water from the bottom of the hoes (that knob) and Newton held the hose. Bob said 'why do I have to be the one doing this.' Newton said 'because you wanted to adjust the prank.' Bob added 'but I got the hose on. Newton then said with something you should not have had in the first place. Bob said 'than you do that next time.' with Newton saying 'this will be the only time, hopefully.' as Bob turned on the hose (as in the device not the power switch) and finished adjusting Newton turn the hose to the centre of the yard to make sure the least amount of objects were in the way so nothing extra happens if the grip slips. as along with having it in the position for keeping their grip. (1)

at that they give Poseidon the go and he uses his power to change the direction the water was going in to move it delicately and calmly all between the stones and all over the lawn to make it muddy like nature with a precision only someone good at their talent can do. around this time Bob continues to use Arnold's dad's gadget to slightly move the windows and come back but after one window decides to detour into the brick wall luckily not breaking anything but not being useful. Poseidon sprays a little water right between the windows stopping enough that only a few drops make it on the floor. enough to make annoyance but not enough to cause lasting damage. The gadget is going all over the place but he eventually gets it to stop with enough feeling as he rushes back into the car knowing he has so return the gadget he just used. Newton gave him a bad look knowing he will have to hear about it later but Bob felt happy to use the gadget once before having to return it.

(1) in terms of "keeping their grip" I have actually use the hose before I do not mean that the hose was difficult to hold what was on the big setting I mean trying to keep it there for a period of time as Poseidon does his thing.

I consider doing something with the control with the tool when I wrote it but I think this portion of the story does not need to add on another three or four episodes for a runaway tool again given the episode is already over 1000 words. and I kinda need Janet's family still asleep since I have some plans for the next house. I had a feeling when I was finishing adding all the switch stuff (those areas were added after everything) that this chapter is going to get a long word count, thinking maybe 2000 words granted the count was still big but at least not the point of being bigger than the longest week as of this point. I can see this dialogue is a little clunky, sometimes I get into their banter and it becomes too long particularly with these characters. I have to thank my beta for giving me a little advice about hoses. Because even though I have used them I just did not know if they were always on standby overnight. (most of my relatives including ones that do have houses do not have one in there house other than my aunt) do not blame her for the text though, I literally just asked that question. I am considering going to Ralphie for the next chapter because I know that this is too many in a row. it will be out of order of the timeline but hopefully add something different from this storyline.
