Wise was busy tending to a bunch of returns on movies behind the counter of the video store when he heard a ringing upon the opening of the front door. It was late and so it was almost closing time.
He was no stranger to late customers but surprise found him when Nicole was the one who stepped inside. "Hey, is anyone else in here,?" she asked Wise.
Wise shook his head while continuing to sort through the movies. Nicole sighed and immediately seemed more upbeat. "Well I guess I got nothing to worry about, proxy. Is Belle home?"
"Not tonight. She's supposed to be at the Victoria Housekeeping headquarters. This is like the third time this week. I wonder what's happening that she needs to disappear that often?"
Nicole looked down and coughed lightly. "Anyways... the Cunning Hares are back in business and we're looking for more assistance with our work."
Wise strutted over to close the store so nobody else wandered in. "Look, Nicole... You know we both like you a lot, but you're still accumulating more debt with us."
"Well, yeah, but there's a good reason for-
Wise cut her off with a raised hand. "The Hollow's been getting more dangerous and out expertise is greatly valued. It's been taking up more of our time and we can't do small time gigs like we have with the Cunning Hares any more."
Nicole sighed. "What? You mean not at all? Like ever?"
"Not unless it's worth it. This isn't just about money, Nicole. These recent commissions are costing us when we need resources for the latest excursions in deeper territories."
Nicole looked at Wise with pleading eyes but quickly understood this wasn't working. She had very little to give to pay back Phaethon for their work. "Wise?"
"What is it, Nicole?"
Nicole stepped forward hesitantly. "I really need the help from you during our commissions. But I have too few dennies to make it up to you. So... perhaps there's another way I could pay you back...?"
Now in front of Wise, Nicole looked up to him with puppy dog eyes and a slanted figure as to show the top of her cleavage with prominence. Wise gulped and immediately understood the assignment. "I think I'm okay with this..."
Nicole smiled and straightened up. "Alright, then let's settle this debt!"
"Hold on, Nicole. Your debt is too big for just one simple exchange. Let's say... 40% of your debts?"
Nicole scoffed. "50%!"
"45. No higher."
With a nod from both of them, they agreed to this exchange. Nicole stepped forward again and grabbed Wise by his collar on his jacket. She pulled him in for a quick kiss and then slid past his cheek towards his ear.
"Better get upstairs, handsome~"
Wise was tugged along slightly by Nicole up the stairs and into Wise's room. They continued to tongue each other passionately as they arrived at Wise's bedside. Before he could even begin taking off his clothes, Nicole had already shoved him back onto the blankets.
He struggled with his jacket and shirt, taking them both off to reveal a well-toned slim body. When he looked back up to Nicole, she had just taken off her own jacket and shirt.
