ep70 (w32 ep1) Mechanics Introduction p2 (1028 words)
yes I put this after the Arnold chapter even if slightly out of chronological order again but I move that chapter 4 to 5 times already. the eclipse and everything else also made me want to play it safe and that chapter was already done awhile ago. after this everything will restore back in order.
I made this note back when I thought I would begin writing after that steps but like I said in the last chapter there has been a few eye issues that made me take a step back for awhile. still I was going to publish something for a year after my first publication. It was going to be published on Monday but even though I had it made I have to go to a dinner right before I got to double check the ending of the chapter after this. Now to see how everything continuous.

Arnold father is launched through the door frame from the contraption that lets people into the mechanic shop saying I have something to talk to you about relating to my device. ms frizzle shocked at the appearance.
you know last night I found my device in my drawer when there has not been there for awhile. I am not sure about you but mine does not have the habit of leaving my property without its user. ms Frizzle says 'well it is a good thing you found it' unsure of what to say in this. The father says of course it was likely those two pranksters that were there the night before I saw it in my drawer. something you probably know about given they probably joy rided your device a few weeks ago. frizzle responded I really doubt the situations are related. fizzle really unsure of Janet giving it another go. The father then says why were you trying to defend Bob , we all know he likes to joke around but this is too much even for him. ms frizzle says Bob borrowed your device.
The father said yes Bob borrowed my device, if it was not Newton. if it was him I think he would have dropped it before it left the house the first time. ms frizzle says he sure runs into things he has not really gotten into anything for a while now. knowing Newton usually would not do something as of this even if not immune to doing any surprises particularly around his father and brother. arnold's dad continued how are we going to deal with the with all of this. with frizzle saying seriously I am sure but not really something I specialize in. unsure of how she would help with whatever those pranksters were up to.
Ralphie is looking out from the bus window unsure of what is being said. The bus got jostled moving him forward touching the panel as he touches that he feels something that almost shocked him. he was annoyed but he took it off to maybe something being 'live' (a loose wire ,term not related to awareness) after repairing. he wishes he did not get stuck in here even though it is a decent enough place to get stuck in as any, happy he brought something in there.
The arnold's dad continued I really do not understand completely why you do not want to admit exactly what happened but I saw yours go missing and because they were not caught they borrowed my device as well. fizzle says I really doubt the situations are related. The father said we all know he likes to joke around but this is too much even for him. frizzle says if he did it I will definitely agree. The father said well he borrowed yours as well even if you want to pretend so I am sure you want to see it through. frizzle said he actually is not related to that but I am sure he will definitely get lectured at best, hopefully he learns his lesson.
The father was thinking why would she be denying his involvement unless it was someone else or something else happened but that makes no sense. would they really be more than one person doing that at the same time. most people who know know not to borrow someone else's having their own not to mention them being connected to the user. arnold's dad says then how, you know what this could be pushed to later after I am done with Bob but there is something else that I am concerned about. frizzle unsure about the change in subject says tell me more.
The father begins my son Arnold ,he has been acting weird. I have not figured out why but whatever it is he was reacting weird last night around the time I caught Bob and co pranking my house. I am not sure what it is or if it's just nerves or even tiredness but can you make sure to take care of him. ms fizzle says I will make sure to do everything in my power to make him safe. that joke was not lost on Arnold's dad who slightly giggled before saying ha ha, you know how we feel about using that stuff pointlessly all around the place but I know that is not really going to affect your methods much to our disagreement. at the same time though I would prefer it if it was left to a minimum unless necessary for this. frizzle says I know and I know the both do you have your reasons but a little magic is allowed every now and then. with Arnold's father saying back Valerie. ms fizzle then says I understand cuz I do care about your son and I will make sure to keep him well.
Arnold's dad response I understand my son's wishes for a regular every day life that involves no gadgets and tools or even surprises but I understand even without devices strange things happen in life. I wish your methods were different but at least you can instruct him to the craziness he will not come to us about. ms frizzle says we might argue but I tried to avoid bringing those disagreements to the classroom and will teach him just as well as the rest of the students there. The father says thank you I know I can be difficult to deal with our differences but I am thankful I can count on you. ms fizzle shakes her head in an understanding yes before Arnold's dad says anyway I need to get this device doublechecked after the whole Bob scenario. frizzle says I am sure a tuneup will be in check,it has been a while after father says yes it has been.
Ralphie did not see much, at least enough to identify who was there but wondered what had happened and why he feels something about the bus. Granted even though he would love to solve the mystery he continues reading his comic book for the time being and shrugs off the feeling.

about that "it is a good thing you found it". I think it was slightly out of character I realised there was not really much to say to that that would sound rude. it is a delicate balance to have two people who disagree but still somewhat care so that took a little effort but I try my best to let the characters do the speaking anyway. like I said this takes place before the Arnold chapter right before it.
I know having a character that is in the younger grades doing mechanic work is really weird. I was originally going to have a happen later on (I was just going to stick it in, a lot of this stuff is dealt with with one sentence listing the season without much detail) but I thought I want to get everything going. Anyway in the next episode we hear from I Bob and Newton about the resolution of that night along with some surprises so stay tuned.
