ep72 (w33 ep1) Picking the Pen (124 words)
I hope you like this, I decided to do somethings on Tim. I decided to choose Tim because he has a decent amount of background information on the Internet with also characters the grandparents established in the canon. this is more of a set up chapter but is it is nice to get to some of the younger characters again. anyway happy Orthodox Easter.

Tim looked out he was thinking on how some his videos are going and the footage he got when something interesting happened he found a he finds a pen.
he finds it interesting and he looks at it it looks kinda nifty if anyone dropped it but he gives a holler and no one answers. he decided he might just keep it since even though it looks awesome it has no markings indicating value. granted he can see if an animal has seen it. he decides to call a squirrel but they seem to not have noticed who. he decides to put the pen away in his case as he goes along on his way unaware of the abilities the pen has in store.

I will admit that the film thing was made when I forgot that digital cameras (particularly ones that can film) would not be something a kid of the age would be getting. my own father was a photo fanatic, not in terms of studying each camera specifics but he took a lot of photos. (granted I am not sure if he took that many videos, if he did the video to photos ratio is very one-sided and never got replayed) I think this episode was actually made (minus a few details) before I decided the exact year as in between stuff (it is label episode 31 in my drafts, back my still bothered to put episode numbers in the drafts instead of just weeks). this was pushed aside because I was deciding between the pen or a animal pendant (though "pendant" was a standing term as it would be too close to Sofia the First) along with I really wanted to put a female in the mix since all of the children character are boys now we are 3 to 3 and this was not made to be everyone gets their own powers spectacular. still I think I have some ideas for a little later if all the probabilities add up of course.
The show made good female characters, that is not this the issue here. I just have trouble seeing any of them getting into situations like this and Keisha would probably be too similar to Arnold at this point. (they do not have similar personalities but they do have similar reactions to getting into panicking situations) phoebe was considered for this but the whole hat on a bunny situation from the show kinda eliminated the chance of her having animal communication powers.
anyway I will tell you this pen is not going to be 'bringing stuff to life' drawing ability do not worry on that. I am not sure if this is going to play much a part for a while. there was a version which he began using it immediately but I decided not to. I wanted to step that he can talk to animals though I did not want to spend a lot of time researching so I did it faster than I usually would. they mention on his page that he talks about talking to animals so I decided to put it in here.
