ep82 (w38 ep1) Ink Drawn (574 words)
Okay I publish late because I felt something was missing with this episode and I edited the next episode which is by the way 2000 words almost as of Tuesday meaning I did not get a chance to really check this one. now he explores the pen and takes a look at that sword. I promise there is going to be more to this than him playing around with a paintbrush for the storyline but I have to get everything set up. given this is actually not something from the show as far as I can tell. I wish this, particularly the second half was better but by the time I figured everything out and was even slightly searching it was one day before publication. meaning that yard stuff other than setting had to be written within a day.
I rarely just plug a number without any explanation but for a episode of that length it is best just to go back though I am summarizing the one right before that one. also when I am talking about the camera remember this takes place in the early 2000s. A date I made just for the purpose of choosing technology. (I usually do not try to emphasize dates but I knew for a series like this I needed to know where I was going technology wise)
last time on the magical generations
see ch80 ep78 (w36 ep1) it is 128 words as of the making of this. but briefly he picked up a pen on the street as he was making a movie.
..
a world where Magic and Science meet. Where the mystical wonder, and tension is always at the surface just waiting to react. The Magical Generations.
He finally finished his movie something he is really proud of. so now he has time to see what this sword that somehow popped out of the paper does. he looks at it noticing the detail similar to what he drew. it was about the size of a piece of printer paper (since that is where he drew on) but it still was big enough for himself to hold. he moves around carefully as to not destroy his room but like any boy if that if he plays out his night in shining armour superhero style fantasies. Of course after a while he thinks he might get in trouble if he has a real sword in his room.
he puts the store down across on the paper as he thanks on what to do next but at that point you know this is a sword trying to go back which point he positions the sword approximately onto the outline which at this point the sword returns back into the drawing. he says wo watching it collapse back in. after a couple seconds, say about 15 to 35 he starts to come back to reality and take a look at the pen. he remember seeing the pen making ink that flies , something he knows he cannot risk in his room for his parents will have a few words with him, most of them not good. he decides to go outside another later to test it out in the yard since he has already returned after making his movie and he does not know how he would ask his parents to go out again.
he goes outside in the yard, it is mostly clear other than a tree which has a bat house.(1) there is enough bushes and trees deeper in though for privacy. (2) he knows he has to be a little careful but he thinks there was enough room and is safe enough to begin. he looks at the pen for a few moments before pressing the clicker activating the magical pen. At that moment the ink plops out of the pen about 3 times forcefully about smallish-medium size before Tim says wow and tries drag it away pointing it up to look at it, with the other end away from his face of course. (but pointed upward) at which point coming out more smoother out of the pen in the trail before slightly spreading around. At which point he drags the pen around in almost a ribbon like manner seeing how the pen spreads cooly. The ink is almost ribbon like but can also be bubbly if a amount together.
he sees some of it spread around the yard not really hitting stuff with the exception of a lawn chair towards the middle of the yard. (3) which it bumps into and somewhat tries to cover it before going back. he sees residue and he is nervous thinking I can I have that lawn chair stained. Luckily when he thought about it some of the residue came off to a minimum washed out presents. he slows down with playing it and eventually everything settles down with everything feeding not instantly but within a short time. Tim is thinking this is cool but she really hopes that the lawn chair is not too noticeable even if it looks mostly washed out. he is thinking he is likely to be using something else for drawing but is going to keep it in his pencil case.
(1) this is cannon from the one appearance (from what I can) that shows his house in the book series. It looks like a medium wooden box.
(2) I usually try to avoid setting explanations because I know very very few people really actually cares that much about it but this is slightly to remind myself. in terms of the studying I am literally basing this on three up and down drawings with this particular one on a drawing that literally has a tree in which they are setting up a bat house which I guess is like setting up a big birdhouse. nothing in this drawing specifies if it is a tree or a bush.
(3) I am not sure how normal this is this pression was borrowed from my aunt. actually if there is ever a mention of a launch chair it is likely based on my Aunt.
..
parental supervision at its best, luckily I thought of having him use the backyard. I was originally going to base it off of my aunt's but then I double checked magic school bus fanon wiki and found some thing of his house from the book so thanks to that. I am still trying to figure out if there was a fence separating the back from the front though it does not look like there is. I think it is slightly out of character, Tim would never drag a pen around that was shooting ink. but I needed to explain the mechanics of the object and I re-wrote this 3,4 times unlike the average possibly 2 times with a possible third for tone. I interpreted as he was like dragging it slowly to check it out but even then I am stretching the characterisation. if I had a week I will probably improve this but I had a day. (Monday and Tuesday I was working on the second episode since that is the season finale of sorts) basically the pen can shoot differently depending on how it is being moved. A fast click with it being still will forcefully move it forward those will be still once it hits. if it is tracked it will glide along.
boys will be boys love love their swords, though there are many girls who like it, he drew it for Wanda after all. I might get deeper into his movie,I am going to have to look into that at another point since it is not super important for this episode. I realized when describing the store there was quite a few standards of paper there was a school notebook size (as in the notebooks with dots all over them) size paper there was a flipbook size paper there is a type of paper you put in your printer. (a4) I chose printer paper because that is what I thought of. of course this will come more to play later when he does this outside depending on what notebook or a sketchbook he has on hand but for now this is what I got. in terms of the 'suck up mechanism' it needs to be approximately on the outline in the same direction if it is say 2 and a half to maybe 3 cm off from the outline it will still be dragged and sucked in. (so we have a respectable amount of human error) but still still has to be close.
this next episode is long and the final episode for the summer, we are talking about 1500 to 2000. (last I checked it was almost 2000 but some stuff has been removed due to it being duplicates) I think there was still something more I wanted but it is great and I spent a lot of time and effort so I hope you will enjoy this ending. I am still thinking of the future of this but I have two episodes already planned out along with a few new storyline. there I no way I am going to at least make it to 40 (likely 41 for everything else) though even if I have them plan I am wondering if this already had a good run, I am really connected to the story but I write to see the end not really for enjoyment as weird as that might sound to the average writer. granted it is a real ending next even if there is going to be a few more to tie everything up.
