ep85 (w39 ep2) A Birthday Of Reminders (606 words)

originally I had a different episode here but I realize that we almost forgot Phoebe's birthday. this takes place either 9 or 12 of May. (because 10 May is a Saturday) yes this is a little bit of a backtrack but I actually caught this during the hiatus where I was pretty much done with week 41. (even if the episode before this one was shaky I went on to that episodes because I had no clue I had to make the one above less shaky) I was not even trying to find this character's birthday, I was looking for a different character. I hope you enjoy it, it is mostly fluff.

phoebe was excited for her birthday, even if some recent memories made her feel a little down upon it. she is planning on giving some cupcakes to her classmates today in celebration but remembering everything that lead to her leaving phoebe's old school (1) to go to Walkerville seems to still be something she cannot get away from.

her father and her talk a little before she leaves for school. As she is going to school she looks out the window. usually she would play a game on her console (3) but looking past everything, all the trees the animals just thanking how everything looks the same out there but different. she likes to think she understands but sometimes it just feels she does not know a thing, particularly after the desert incident and occasionally she wishes she understood less. granted she still sometimes likes to see the squirrel go up in the tree and the trees as they pass by.

things continue until she gets to school and gets out. she waves her hand as she says bye before going towards the school. as she walks in everyone in the class waves their hands hi to say hello but got even more excited when they noticed the cupcakes.

ms frizzle says hello Phoebe I see you but some cupcakes today,is today must be your birthday then. phoebe says yes today is my birthday with frizzle saying well happy birthday,it is such a wonderful time isn't it. make sure to hand out the cupcakes. as she puts down the cupcake holder (Think of those plastic trays that you buy cupcakes in) to frizzle along with the napkins. frizzle says 'good' as she starts handing out the cupcakes with the napkins. as she passes them out ms fizzle says 'you know I say to be messy but with these tried to keep everything on the desk and preferably in the napkin. bugs might be good outside but the janitor prefer us not picking up crumbs.' she gives a cupcake to each classmate and sits down. Kesha says 'this is great' with ralphie saying 'mmm.'(yummy sound effect) with someone else saying thanks Phoebe and Phoebe saying 'I am glad you liked them.' before she looks down at your desk thinking at least something is right with today.

eventually everyone finishes the cupcakes and class begins. even as boring as school is at least her new classmates are there for her even if there are no where are the exact reason she came. she enjoys the rest of the day they think her for her birthday she might have that memory in the back of her mind but it was not until she got home that she discussed it again.

her father says 'I know you miss your old school and understand your previous school focus more on history then science (5) but I hope you were able to enjoy today considering no matter what happened it's still your birthday.' she says 'it's alright I understand why' with her father saying 'no,I understand that it has been a little less than a year (2) since everything happened. I try my best to assist you with your abilities and I am really sorry about having you move from your previous school. but you know how we do not want anything strange to go on over there.' Phoebe said 'yes, I understand How no one is supposed to know about anything, even mr seedplot.' The dad says 'good, now that done let's celebrate with a cake' which at that point Phoebe smiled as brightly as if nothing ever happened as they sang happy birthday and she made a wish on the candles.

(1) I decided that even though this was a shortcut by the producers, the name Phoebe is popular enough for someone to actually name a school that. (and their are schools name 'the old school') so basically in this universe the name is coincidental.

(2) I still cannot figure out if it has been one or two years in Canon. i usually the lean towards 2 years but to simplify everything I said one.

(3) Basically I did not wanna choose a console but like a Game Boy advance or psp.

(5) I know the teacher we met was a 'science style' teacher. I will say I had a teacher that only taught math in a earlier grade with the other teacher type every other subject but this is from where I can tell unique and even though she would have taught math every grade (and her exclusively) the teacher got cancer during fourth grade ending that arrangement. though she came back as a religion teacher around three grades later for 1 or 2 years. but for the most part you only get one teachers for Elementary. because of that I will look into it because it does happen,it does happen very occasionally. I will doublecheck that episode carefully for wording if this becomes more pronounced of a subject for a storyline but for now I am just keeping it as is.

basically the way I went about this was based on my own experience with school birthday parties, I hope it was enjoyable. It was difficult to figure out where in the timeline everything was because I forgot to completely organise some of the side stories given how disaster the prank timeline was, ralphie being simple enough and most importantly keeping everything together with less than a month before summer break in the universe. you do not even want to know how how close it seemed that we were going to end up with a half done, maybe at best a quickly made generic chapter with her just giving cupcakes. this still is mostly that but at least I was able to fit some thing in there involving her personality and the personality of the students. again this was inserted in later when I was searching for Ralphie's birthday but I definitely have something else for Phoebe I will promise you that.

I have seen in some places that they suggest that Phoebe has a brother. I am having trouble finding where this comes from even though they suggest that he is still going to the old school. I try to stretch a little more before I made the final conversation but searching family members on this show is like something else. if I get more reliable stuff I might make sure he appears but for now I am already having trouble trying to figure out what I am going to do with Ralphie's brother. I really made this thing assuming they were all only children.

This might be a good time to mention that the only time I ever switch school was above the age of 4 was high school and even though I did not have anyone for my grade school be in my high school everyone was leaving. I know I am screwing up this episode trying to fit some material in. I am between two different powers for Phoebe right now which overall is not bad but I still have to figure it out. this is part of the reason why I was a little vague on that front. it was always a plan to do some thing with Phoebe since the beginning or at least near it. I would explain more but I am going to save that for whenever she uses her ability first.
