Chapter 8
The Restoration of Peace
He said, "Fellow citizens I would like to deliver the first proclamation of my reign." The crowd applauded. King Link went on, "Thank you. Let me begin by saying this: I would like to ensure the safety, prosperity, and integrity of Hyrule; and everything we stand for. I will do this by fighting alongside the Hyrulean army during those times when we are invaded by those kingdoms that wish the destruction, takeover, and/or subjugation of Hyrule and its people." The crowd applauded once more. After the crowd's applause subsided King Link continued, "The last thing that I wish to do is to restore the peace and stability of Hyrule." There was a loud cry of approval from the crowd; the roar from the crowd was deafening. King Link awaited the subsidence of the crowd's elation. Once they were all quieted he continued, "I will do this by using the power of the Triforce to restore the lives that were lost in the war. I will also use it to restore the stability of Hyrule itself. In restoring the lives that were lost I hope to restore the entire complement of the Hyrulean army." The crowd cheered once again. King Link then brought out the Triforce. He said, "All-powerful Triforce please grant my requests."
"Yes, King Link. What are thy wishes?"
"Please restore the lives of those good and kind-hearted Hyruleans that lost their lives in the great and terrible Hyrulean Civil War. My second wish is this: please restore the stability of Hyrule."
A bright golden light enveloped the entire courtyard. After the beautiful golden light dissipated the Triforce said, "Thy wishes hath been granted."
"Thank you." King Link put the Triforce back in Hyrule Castle. After he did this he came outside to conclude his proclamation. He said, "Now that the wishes have been granted Hyrule's peace should be secured for some time to come." The crowd cheered. King Link then noticed that the Hyrulean army was once again back to its full complement. He said, "My fellow citizens the army is once again at its full complement. I'm sure that when you return home all of your loved ones that died in the war will be alive once again. Now, this concludes my proclamation. Have a good night." The crowd applauded for a total of 5 minutes, and once they finished everyone returned home; and when they did they found everyone that was killed in the war waiting for them just as King Link had said. King Link, himself, returned to Hyrule Castle (with his wife Queen Zelda) to rule the kingdom with love, fairness, and integrity. Hyrule will once again be known as a prosperous and kind kingdom throughout the world thanks to the bravery and compassion of the Hyrulean boy King.
