Chapter 9: A Big Move

Isaacs, Canberra, ACT, 11:00 AM 2 days later

Sometime before Schroeder and Mary Klein's wedding, Tommy and Polly had bought a house in Canberra, partially to live closer to Spearmint Sammy and his cousin Heather Clyde-Halverson. Tommy was looking into expanding his business into Australia, and he thought Canberra would be a good start.

That day, Tommy and Polly had arrived in their new home in Isaacs, a suburb in Canberra.

"Here it is." said Tommy. "Our new home."

"It's very extravagant, Tommy." said Polly.

Their new home was a two-storey home. Polly decided to use the money her parents gave her for selling her poodles all those years ago, convert it to Australia's currency, and spend it all on a house like this.

"Ladies first." said Tommy.

"Thanks, Tommykins." said Polly.

Tommy followed Polly into their new house.

"Wow! This place is a palace!" exclaimed Polly,

The house was enormous.

"Looking forward to our new lives here?" asked Tommy.

"You bet." said Polly.

Fyshwick, Canberra, ACT, 9:00 AM 3 days later…

Since Fyshwick was a more industrial suburb in Canberra, Tommy decided to open Halverson Hobbies there. He had invited Polly, Spearmint Sammy and Heather Giles, Marty, Frieda, Charlie Brown, Heather Wold, Linus, Janice, Rerun, Katie, Schroeder, Mary Klein, Lucy, Violet, Shermy, Patty Swanson, Percy, Scarlet, Eugene, Lydia, Jasmine, Lime, Harold Angel, Sally, Eudora, Wally, Henry, Cora, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Franklin and Roy.

"I hereby declare Halverson Hobbies Fyshwick….. open!" Tommy announced as he cut the ribbon.

Everyone who was waiting outside walked in, and were amazed by all the hobbies for sale.

"Wow!" said Charlie Brown.

"More model trains here!" said Shermy.

"You and your model trains, Shermykins!" giggled Violet.

While his customers looked and shopped, Tommy looked up in the clouds.

"If only Emerald were here to see the success I've become." Tommy said.

And Tommy walked into his new hobby store, impressed by all his customers and friends. He knew his business was going to grow.
