Chapter 7: New Beginnings

As the morning sun rose over the camp, Bulma adjusted her gear, preparing to return to the city. Kara, still sitting by the fire, seemed lost in thought.

"Hey, Kara," Bulma said, breaking the silence. "I've been thinking about what you told me last night. You said you were looking for your cousin, right?"

Kara nodded, her blue eyes filled with a mix of hope and doubt.

"Well," Bulma continued, "there's someone on this planet who has powers like yours. He's strong, can fly, and has become a hero. People call him Superman."

Kara blinked in surprise. "Superman? Who is he?"

Bulma shrugged. "I don't know much, but he's famous. If he's Kryptonian like you, he might be your cousin—or at least he might know something about him."

Kara's heart raced. Could this "Superman" really be Kal-El?

Goku, who had just woken up and finished eating a massive breakfast, stretched and yawned. "That was a great sleep!" He looked around, noticing the serious atmosphere. "What's going on?"

"We were just talking about Kara's cousin," Bulma explained.

"Oh, cool!" Goku said, grinning. "I hope you find him!"

Kara gave him a small smile. "Thanks, Goku."

"What about you, Goku?" Bulma asked.

"I've been thinking," Goku said, his eyes shining with excitement. "That old guy, Master Roshi—he's super strong! I wanna train with him and get even stronger!"

Bulma chuckled. "Of course you do. You're always looking for a fight."

As the group packed up and prepared to go their separate ways, they shared a moment of quiet reflection.

Kara turned to Goku. "Take care of yourself, Goku. And don't let your tail grow back, okay?"

Goku laughed. "I'll be fine, Kara! And I'll get so strong that I'll be able to protect everyone, just like you do!"

Kara's heart softened at his words. She placed a hand on his shoulder. "You're already strong, Goku. But what makes you special is your kindness. Don't ever lose that."

Bulma gave Kara a quick hug. "If you ever need anything, you know where to find me."

"I won't forget," Kara said.

With that, Bulma headed back to the city, Kara set out to find Superman, and Goku soared off on his Nimbus to find Master Roshi.

After a few days of searching, Kara finally arrived in Metropolis, a bustling city filled with towering skyscrapers and vibrant energy. She kept her powers hidden, observing the city's hero from a distance.

Superman's presence was awe-inspiring. His strength, his speed, his unwavering dedication to helping others—it all felt so familiar. One day, she worked up the courage to approach him.

"Kal-El?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Superman turned, his piercing blue eyes widening. "How do you know that name?"

Tears welled up in Kara's eyes. "It's me… Kara Zor-El. I'm your cousin."

Superman's expression softened, and he pulled her into a warm embrace. "Kara… I thought I was the only one left."

The two spent hours catching up, sharing their stories and memories of Krypton. Superman, now Clark Kent, helped Kara create a new life on Earth. With his connections, he arranged for her to live with the Danvers family in National City.

The Danvers family welcomed Kara with open arms, and her foster sister Alex quickly became her closest confidant. Kara adjusted to her new life, attending school, hiding her powers, and learning what it meant to be human.

Meanwhile, Goku reached Master Roshi's island and began his training, meeting Krillin along the way. The two quickly became rivals and friends, pushing each other to new heights.

Under Roshi's guidance, Goku honed his martial arts skills, growing stronger with each passing day. His cheerful demeanor and pure heart endeared him to everyone he met, even as his appetite and naïveté caused the occasional chaos.

While Goku's adventures unfolded much like the original timeline—facing off against powerful foes, gathering the Dragon Balls, and forming unbreakable bonds—Kara lived a quieter life in National City.

She attended school, learned from the Danvers, and occasionally used her powers in secret to help those in need. Despite her efforts to blend in, she couldn't forget her time with Goku and the others.

Sometimes, late at night, she would think about Goku—his infectious smile, his boundless energy, and, most of all, his unshakable kindness. For all his strength, it was his purity of heart that stayed with her the most.

Kara kept in touch with Bulma, exchanging letters and calls. Bulma often shared updates about Goku's adventures, recounting his battles and victories with pride.

"Sounds like he's doing amazing," Kara said during one call.

"Yeah, he's a force of nature," Bulma replied. "But you left quite an impression on him, you know. He still talks about how strong you are."

Kara smiled. "He's the strong one. Not just in power, but in spirit."

As time passed, Kara settled into her life on Earth, growing closer to Alex and the Danvers. She became a beacon of hope in her own way, though she often wondered if she'd ever cross paths with Goku again.

Deep down, she knew their destinies were intertwined, and she held onto the hope that one day, their paths would cross once more.
