Hedgehogs Unleashed Saga Episode 1: When Mobius Breaks Apart

One bright and sunny day at New Mobotropolis, all the citizens of the city are living as happy as can be. Of course, it doesn't stop the Freedom Fighters from protecting their home plant for the disaster of Dr. Eggman and his Dark Egg Legion.

Inside the Freedom HQ, everyone is busy working hard with Eggman's next move, and figuring out what he's planning. Of course, they also have to deal with cleaning up Freedom HQ.

Sally is in the meeting room with Nicole, who is giving her an update.

"Sally, Sonic and Eve have reached Space, they'll soon be heading to Eggman's flagship.

"Thank you, Nicole," Sally says.

Then asks, "Any ideas on what Eggman is planning?"

"Sadly, I haven't been able to find any plans for this one. However, I was able to find blueprints of some kind of cannon and details involving a manuscript," Nicole says.

"A manuscript?" Sally questions.

"Yes. Eggman doesn't have much information, only that it is foretold about something within the planet," Nicole says.

"That's odd…" Sally says, trying to think, "Hmm, maybe Eggman doesn't want anyone else to know about it. He must be planning on something big."

"I agree. Sonic and Eve agree something is up, but also assure that they'll stop Eggman from whatever he's planning," Nicole says.

"Yes, but I have this bad feeling on the back of my mind that Eggman is planning something. Something really big," Sally says.

"Yes. It crossed my mind as well," Nicole says.

"Alright. Let me know when Eve messages back," Sally says.

"Okay Sally," Nicole says.

And Sally soon takes her leave and lets out a sigh, she can't help but worry about Sonic and Eve having to take on Dr. Eggman alone. She can't help but have the thought in the back of her mind that Dr. Eggman is planning on something big.

"Hi Sally," A voice calls out.

Sally comes out from her deep thoughts and turns to see Maria, Jazz, Cream, Cheese, and cosmo.

"Oh hello everyone, how are you doing?" Sally asks.

"We're doing fine, how is your mission doing?" Cosmo asks.

"How's sonic and Eve doing?" Maria asks.

"So far, they're both doing okay, and have reached Eggman's base somewhere in space," Sally says.

"That's good to hear," Cream says.

"Chao Chao," Cheese says.

"Yes, but I am worried. I know they were able to defeat Eggman before, but I'm worried about what he can be up to," Cosmo says.

"Me too," Maria says, showing concern.

"I'm sure Sonic and Eve will be okay, but I can't help but feel that Eggman is planning something," Sally says.

"Well, it's not new," Amy's voice says.

Soon, Amy and Tails walk into the meeting room.

"Hey Amy, Tails, are you ready for your trip?" Sally asks.

"We're ready," Amy says.

Then turns to Tails, "Maria, Cosmo, Jazz? Are you all ready to go?"

"We're ready, Tails," Cosmo says.

"I can't wait to explore around Windmill Isle and Spagonia University, and a few other places," Tails says.

"Yeah. Sonic and Eve said they'll meet us," Amy says.

"I can't wait to go," Maria says.

"Chao Chao," Jazz says.

"You all have fun," Sally says.

"Be sure to send pictures," Cream says.

"Chao Chao,"

Tails and the others say, "Bye."

And with that, the group take their leave and head out on their trip.

Meanwhile, on the outskirts of space, above Mobus, Dr. Eggman aboard his flagship for another one of his evil plans to rule the world. Among them are Dr. Eggman's battle fleets. And in the control room of the flagship is the mad doctor himself.

He maniacally laughs, "Oh ho ho ho!"

Suddenly, the alarm goes off, earning Eggman's attention, "Hmmmm?!"

Eggman looks through the window of his control room, and notices a flame at the front deck. Of course, standing on the deck of the flagship are Sonic and Eve, ready to defeat Eggman and stop another one of his plans.

With the siren wailing, a battalion of Eggman's Egg Fighters emerges, and cannons aim towards the two hedgehogs.

Ready, Eggman shouts, "Fire!"

On. Dr. Eggman's command, the cannons fire. Sonic and Eve dodge the blast with their super speed. Then spin dash at the Egg Fighters. Eve then brings out his Master emerald Sword and slashes them into pieces. The two continue dodging the attacks and barely able to slide under a larger Egg Fighter. Once they defeat and destroy the Egg Fighters, they speed towards the control room where Eggman is.

However, a large robot drops onto the deck, revealing to be Eggman in one of his mech robots. Then begins shooting at the two hedgehogs. Sonic and Eve dodge the attacks and perform spin dashes, and begin running behind Eggman.

This makes Eggman angry, "Why you little!" as the mech turns around to follow the hedgehogs.

Dr. Eggman continues with an onslaught of gunfire and missiles and both Sonic and Eve escape into a corridor.

"You're not getting away!" Eggman shouts.

And Eggman makes a mech's hand come out and fire at the two hedgehogs. Sonic and Eve continue running down the corridor before noticing the mech's hand is coming right towards them. The two try to get away, but the mech's hand grabs them both.

"Wuh-oh!" Sonic yelps.

"Ah!" Eve yelps.

Then the robot's hand pulls the two hedgehogs back and connects itself to the mech and Eggman. Sonic and Eve look at each other and nod in response. They both concentrate and summon the Seven Chaos Emeralds.

"What?!" Eggman says, shocked, realizing what's happening.

Dr. Eggman's mech closes its hands around the two hedgehogs, but they transform into Super Sonic and Super Eve as they blow the mech's arms off in the process, rendering it helpless.

Super Sonic then shoots through the mech before turning around for another strike.

Dr. Eggman, realizing he's in trouble, breaks his Egg Mobile free of his damaged mech

He says, "Uh oh, time to go!"

Then flies off.

Super Eve notices it, "He's getting away!"

"After him!" Sonic says.

The two Super Hedgehogs follow Dr. Eggman through his battle fleet. Eggman continues to fly away from the two hedgehogs through a hallway, sealing them off, but the Super Hedgehogs are able to use their powers to break through. In the process, they managed to destroy the flagship and several other smaller ships as they fired at them.

Soon, enough, Dr. Eggman enters a large tower of some station and enters the main room. The Egg Mobile crashes and causes him to be flung out and crashes on the floor. The Egg Mobile lands next to him. Soon, the two Super Hedgehogs burst through the door.

Eggman soon sees them, "S-Sonic! Eve!"

He soon falls down on his knees and begs for mercy, "I-I'm sorry! R-really! L-look, go easy on me! I'll turn over a new leaf, I swear! Just give me a chance!"

"Well, this is new. Showing remorse for once, Eggman?" Eve questions.

"Yeah. Seems really new for you. If you played nice, I wouldn't have to break all your toys," Super Sonic says.

Suddenly, Eggman grins evilly as he brings out a hidden button, "Gotcha," And presses the button.

And suddenly, panels emerge from the floor and begin to surround the two hedgehogs.

"Wha?" Sonic exclaims.

"Huh?" Eve says, shocked.

"Eve, move!" Sonic cries out and pushes Eve out of the way just in time.

Sonic tries to get out, but he ends up getting trapped in a high energy shield while Dr. Eggman laughs maniacally.

"Sonic!" Eve cries out.

And tries to get back in, but the energy shield is keeping her out.

Eve tries to use her sword to cut through, but the shield is preventing her from saving her brother. Soon, lasers point towards Sonic and fire powerful beams at gim. Sonic screams in agony and feels his power draining from him. Eve soon begins to feel the pain and the force of the beam and the power is being drained from her as well. Soon, the Chaos Emeralds are forced out of both of them and circle around Sonic, reverting them both to their normal selves.

Outside at the station, a large Cannon starts to open as both Sonic and Eve scream in pain and agony.

Eggman maniacally laughs, "Ho ho ho ho ho! Oh, I've waited a long time for this!" And soon presses the button, "Fire!"

With the push of the button, the cannon, which turns out to be a chaos Energy Cannon, fires a powerful beam at Mobius. The beam then splashes into the water at the coast of an island.

Back in New Mobotropolis, Sally and the other Freedom Fighters are relaxing, but Sally is very worried about Sonic and Eve.

"You doing okay, Sal?" Bunnie asks.

"I'm okay, but I can't help but worry about Sonic and Eve," Sally says.

"I'm sure the sugah hogs will be fine. They alway able to defeat Eggman and his plans before," Bunnie says.

"I guess you're right," Sally says.

Suddenly, Fiona, Nic, and Galaxina rush into the meeting room in a panic.

"Sally, something's going on outside!" Galaxina says in worry.

"What's going on?" Sally asks.

"A powerful beam came out from the sky," Fiona says, shocked.

"A what?!" Sally asks, shocked.

Soon, Nicole appears on the screen, "Sally, a very strong Chaos Energy was blasted from space, and there are multiple reports that the planet is breaking apart."

"It's what?!" Sally asks, shocked.

Sally and the others begin rushing out and look to see the beam has disappeared after it's been fired. What's more, they notice some strange ghastly tentacles begin appearing over the sky.

Stunned, Sally asks, "What in the world is happening?"

Sally brings out her pad, "Nicole, can you contact Sonic and Eve?!"

"I can't get through. They must be too far in space, and there's too much interference," Nicole says, worried.

Sally looks up in concern, "Sonic. Eve," and wonders what's happening and if the beam has anything to do with Eggman's plan.

All over Mobius, everyone panics to feel the Earth shaking and some parts of the world are beginning to brack. That's because up in space, the planet of Mobius begins to break apart. The planet begins to split apart as everyone hangs on for dear life. And suddenly, a ghastly purplish formation with tentacles begins to emerge from the planet's core.

Dr. Eggman watches the event and is very excited, "Whoooah!"

The creature continues to rise from the Earth's core, and in the form of some frightening monster.

Meanwhile, Sonic and Eve find themselves fallen on the ground and struggle to get up. Eve feels like her Chaos Energy and the sword's powers are being drained away. Sonic however, is starting to change. Sonic's body begins to enlarge as his fur changes to a darker color, his hands change as his gloves rip and break apart, revealing sharp claws. Sonic's teeth sharpens and lets out a roar of pain.

And down on Mobius, the frightening, ghastly monster fully emerges as Sonic has transformed into a frightening creature. Not only that, but the Chaos Emerald has lost its powers, changing into a dark gray color and falling to the floor around Sonic.

And then the Chaos Energy Cannon deactivates. Eve struggles to get up, feeling the pain of her powers being drained, and notices that her sword has lost its glow and becomes dull.

"So-Sonic…" Eve softly says and rushes to her brother.

"E-Eve…" Sonic softly says.

Eve soon begins to feel dizzy, and Sonic is able to catch her.

"Eve, are you okay? Eve!" Sonic says, in worry.

"My… my powers…." Eve says, very weakened.

Eggman laughs, "Ho ho ho!" Then says, triumphantly, "Success! A brilliant success! It's just as the Gaia Manuscripts foretold! The entity that was sealed within the planet has awakened. Now I just need to harness its power. Eggmanland will finally come to be! Nyah ha ha ha!"

This makes Sonic furious to hear Eggman say, and realized that Eggman has planned this.

Still holding his sister, Sonic turns to Eggman, "You've really... gone and done it this time, Eggman.

"Ah, Sonic. That's a good look for you. Festive!" Eggman says.

"Too bad I can't say the same for Eve. She looks rather tired, must have been very drained," Eggman says in remark.

Sonic growls in anger, "You did this, Eggman!"

"Well, as much as I love to stay and chat, but I have other plans," Eggman says, "So long, friends!"

Eggman then seals himself safely in his Egg mobile. Then opens the airlock. Sonic notices this and tries to hang on with one hand, and holds on to Eve with the other as the Chaos Emerald and Sword are blown out. Sonic is barely able to hang on and both he and Eve are sucked out of the space station and out into space. Soon, the two fall and begin to make their way towards Mobius.

There is a loud screech from the monster before breaking apart and scattering across the planet.
