Author's notes: ancient Gallifrey again
Summary: Child soldier.
The youngest of House Barax-Sulding gripped the hilt of their dagger, the blade long and unwieldy for child so small — but it was merely a focal point for thoughts trained to an incandescent hate.
You are the knife.
The child, gifted with a natural fierceness, had won a place in the ranks of the house berserkers. Now they roared as one as their rage blasted outwards, reducing the alien monsters to lifeless, charred meat with the power of their minds.
Through the rising plumes of smoke, they swept across the battlefield and took their trophies, claiming another planet for Gallifrey.
The Prophecies:
"From among the We, three shall arise who embody the Three-faced God, and those three are the Tyr-ridan. When the three are one, then begins the final battle against the Darkling Wyrm."
— ancient legend from before the time of the Pythian empire, banned from common memory by the edict of the 7th Pythia.
"The Mara are three, and the three are one:
That-which-destroys,
That-which-preserves,
and
That-which-creates."
— prophecy attributed to the 25th Pythia
