Hello. This is the first chapter of A new goal-fanfiction that I wrote with the Hospitaller Knight fanfiction-writer. I am really grateful to Hospitaller Knight for his help with the writing. The story's image was created using the online-game Sailor Senshi Maker 3 ~ dress up Sailor Moon! - Doll Divine. I only own my own oc-characters.
Natsuki stood in front of a tall, gray shoe rack in the lobby of Orihime Private, and looked to the left. The walls and ceiling of the lobby were white. The floor was brown, and in front of the shoe racks were brown benches where you could sit and change your shoes. There was a doorway in the back wall of the lobby, behind which were stairs leading upstairs. There were glass windows in a couple of places on the front wall, and a doorway between them. The yard of Orihime Private was surrounded by a gray brick fence with a black iron gate, the fence on the right of which read Orihime Private. There was a volleyball/basketball hall in the Orihime Private area, and its equipment storage. There was a large running track in the backyard of Orihime Private, and a tennis court. There was an archery/fencing hall in the front yard of Orihime Private.
Orihime Private's sports were running, tennis, volleyball, and basketball. Club activities were fencing, archery, baking, and crafts.
Natsuki was a tall, thin girl with long, red hair. Her eyes were blue, and her skin was fair. She wore a red uniform with a white collar and a red stripe. There was a white bow on the front of the uniform. Her skirt was black, and reached down to her knees, and there was also red in it. Her socks were white, and her shoes were black high heels. Natsuki held a black bag in her right hand, and a brown archery case with a crossbow and arrows in it. Natsuki was 15 years old. Natsuki belonged to the archery club.
Finally, a tall, athletic, dark-haired boy with dark eyes and fair skin walked into the hall. The boy was 15 years old. He was wearing a black and white jacket with a white shirt underneath and a red tie. His pants were black, and his socks were white. His inner shoes were brown. He was carrying a black bag in his right hand, and an archery case.
Natsuki blushed as she looked at the dark-haired boy, who walked to the shoe racks and opened one of the racks.
"Huoh!" Natsuki sighed deeply, gathered her courage, and walked up to the boy, stopping, and then began to speak:
"Evening. I'm Uzumaki Natsuki from Class 1B. I recently joined the archery club. Sorry to bother you, Uchiha-senpai, but I'd like to be your friend."
Natsuki looked at Sasuke, who had just taken out his black outdoor shoes from his shoe rack.
"I first saw Uchiha Sasuke a month ago after I transferred to Orihime Private, and when I went to watch the archery club's archery practice. He was handsome, but there were many times when he had a really lonely look in his eyes, which I've wondered why. Then I started going to watch archery practice before I managed to gather enough courage to join the archery club. I'd like to tell Sasuke that I have a crush on him, but I don't want to sound too pushy, because Sasuke is really, really popular with girls. That's why I'm trying to be his friend first before I tell him, how I feel," Natsuki thought, waiting for Sasuke's answer.
"Oh... Hi," Sasuke replied dryly as he closed the box, then looked at Natsuki.
"What a bother," Sasuke thought. Not the first girl to approach him alone that day. "Of all the girls in Orihime, she, but why her?"
Sasuke didn't particularly enjoy the company. Especially not with people as loud and obnoxious as Natsuki seemed to be. But to his chagrin, the red-haired girl would be his partner in that activity. Since the black-haired young man saw no point in bemoaning his fate, he took a deep breath, and turned to the girl with a slight smirk, as it was the closest thing he could do to showing warmth to his classmate:
"Well, since we share archery class with Iruka-sensei, I guess it wouldn't hurt to get to know each other."
"Oh...Oh oh!" Natsuki almost roared at the top of her lungs. "Senpai noticed me!"
"Great. That girl is one of them," Sasuke thought to himself noticing, how Natsuki seemed to be bubbling in his presence. He was somewhat used to her reputation as a teenage heartthrob, but deep down he resented it.
Natsuki tried to remain calm, and pushed a strand of red hair away from her right shoulder:
"I've just started in the archery club, and my shooting skills are still lacking. Could you give me some advice on archery?"
Natsuki was glad, that Sasuke had listened to her:
"I heard you moved here from Hokkaido. Are there any archery clubs there?"
Natsuki tried to stay calm, hoping she hadn't blushed. She didn't want to seem intrusive.
"I don't know the reason for senpai's loneliness, but my parents are now living abroad due to busy work, so I can understand senpai if he's really lonely", Natsuki thought.
"I'm asking you for advice on archery, because you've been in the archery club longer than me, so archery is a subject you're more familiar with than me," Natsuki said finally.
"You don't really understand the meaning of loneliness yet," Sasuke mused to himself, remembering hearing from his friend that Natsuki's parents were living abroad due to their busy schedules. One thing was that the parents lived and worked abroad. Another was that they didn't exist at all, like she and her older brother and caretaker Itachi do. But Natsuki wasn't to blame for her sad state, and as soon as he realized this, he finally spoke to the red-haired girl.
"I don't see why I wouldn't help you," the young man finally spoke. "Are you free tomorrow morning? It's Saturday, after all."
Natsuki had to hide the most goofy and serious grin she had ever produced on her lips. It sounded too much like an invitation to a date for his liking, and he liked it a lot:
"Y-y-y-y-YES! Of course I am! Uh, I mean... Yeah, of course, uh..."
"Um, are you okay?" Sasuke asked, noticing how she fumbled for words. For some reason, he found Natsuki strangely affectionate in the way she tried to hide her true feelings.
"Oh, of course..." Natsuki finally replied, pulling herself together. "Tomorrow at 9 at Sado Hill, how about that?"
"Sounds good to me. See you then," Sasuke said.
Then the two parted ways to return home. Out of Sasuke's sight, Natsuki felt like she had won the biggest battle of her life, having spoken to Orihime Private's dreamboat and kept most of her composure while doing so.
"I just did it, and I still can't believe it!" Natsuki thought as she pumped her lungs and jumped so happily, she caught the attention of passersby.
"Don't expect much, young man," Sasuke thought once more. "This is strictly schoolwork. Nothing more."
Sasuke wasn't ready to open up to Natsuki yet...But deep down, Sasuke longed for the chance to move on from the only other girl he had ever loved and to whom he had given himself body and soul...One almost exactly like Natsuki in appearance and demeanor.
"It seems my weakness is that I care too much," Natsuki thought, until she saw her friends Hinata, and Ino talking at Orihime's gate, and walked in front of them:
"Ino, you said earlier that your family's flower shop has received a new shipment of flowers for the upcoming fall festival. What kind of flowers are they?"
"Mom hasn't talked about it much yet," Ino said.
Ino was Natsuki's age, a tall, thin girl. Her skin was fair, her eyes were blue, and her hair was long, blond, and tied in a ponytail. Her uniform was the same as Natsuki's. Ino's family owned a flower shop.
Hinata was Natsuki's age. Hinata was a tall, thin girl. Her skin was fair, and her eyes were white. Her hair was long, dark blue. Her uniform was the same as Natsuki's. Hinata's family owned a karate gym.
"Hinata, congratulations on winning the karate tournament recently," Natsuki said. "I heard the theme for the fall festival hasn't been decided yet."
The girls walked forward on the sidewalk, and finally stopped in front of a large, gray apartment building, and walked up its stairs to the second floor. They stopped in front of a gray door, and Natsuki took a key from her pocket, and inserted it into the door lock. On the right side of the door was a nameplate that read Namikaze/Uzumaki. Above the nameplate was the apartment number 30. Below the nameplate was an intercom with a white button.
Natsuki opened the door, and then went inside with the girls, and closed the door. The floor was light brown, the walls were white like the ceiling. There were ceiling lamps on the ceiling, and to the right of the door was an umbrella stand, and a shoe stand where the girls put their shoes. The floor a little further ahead was a little higher by a couple of centimeters, and there were slippers on it, which the girls put on their feet.(The interior design was inspired by Detective Conan episode 1070, or as far as I remember, that episode.)
On the walls on the right and left of the hall were 2, white doors.
As the girls walked forward, Natsuki pressed the light switch on the wall on the right, which had 5 light buttons. After turning on the ceiling lights, the girls were in the hall, which was connected to the living room and kitchen. Kitchen utensils, and kitchen counters were on the left side of the room, like the dining table. The living room was on the right side of the room, and on the floor was a white carpet, with a brown sofa on top, and floor cushions, a brown, low floor table. On the front wall was a black flat screen TV, and its remote control was on the table. On the back wall were double glass doors leading to a balcony, with long, light blue curtains in front. To the right of the balcony doors was a bookshelf.

"It looks like you managed to talk to the Uchiha," Ino said, sitting on the couch with her friends as they began to do their homework.
"That's a good thing, because I'm trying to be his friend," Natsuki said.
"What are you going to wear to the meeting tomorrow?" Hinata asked.
"It's not a date, so something simple," Natsuki said, thinking about the matter.
