Hello, everyone, and welcome back to "A Long Distance Ship". Before we get started with this chapter, I would like to apologize to you guys for not getting this chapter out on time. I was very busy last week, and thus didn't have the chance to do much writing. But I did finish this chapter, and just as we hit another major milestone for the story. What might that milestone be? Well, you are just going to have to find out at the end of the chapter! Now let's see what Ash and Misty are up to!

Subject: Drake of the Elite Four

Hey, Misty. I just had a day filled with experiences today. After riding high after a couple of wins, I ended up meeting Drake (no relation to the Orange Islands champion, this one is a member of the Hoenn Elite Four.) Drake took me and my friends on a boat so I could have a battle with him. It was a best of three battle, with whoever knocking out two of the other trainer's Pokemon first winning the battle… and let's just say that the battle did NOT go well for me, with Drake taking out two of my Pokemon before I even took out one of his. But I deserved it because I was being overconfident… and apparently Drake was overconfident like me when he was my age… So it wasn't only good that I learned a lesson from a member of the Elite Four! Anyways, we will be continuing our journey to Sootopolis City and my 8th and final Hoenn league badge! I will talk to you whenever I get on a computer again!

Hey, Ash. Drake sounds like he is a great trainer with the skills and worthy of being one of the Hoenn Elite Four, and with how he was able to overcome a major flaw. It's great to hear that you were able to learn something from Drake… although how long do you think it will be before you forget it? ;)

I had a pretty good day at the gym as well. Tracey decided to come over to the gym to show me a new egg that his Marill was carrying, thinking it would be a good idea to give the Pokemon inside to me. Daisy was at the gym too and also got to see the egg, and also got to see it hatch into an Azurill. The two of us ended up having a battle to see who would be Azurill's new trainer. I won the battle, but not the war as Azurill imprinted onto Daisy. (sigh) At least Togetic is happy to have a new cousin, and she promised to help Daisy out with her new baby…

PS: When did you learn that the final gym is located in Sootopolis City?
