Cool air blasted me in the face and chest as I stepped out of the washroom, Akari and Ayame also wrapped in towels behind me. It was still quite early so we didn't expect Airi and Yuki to be awake yet so we remained quiet as we passed their door.
Ayame stepped up to me and kissed me lightly on the cheek with a blush before she disappeared inside her own room to change.
"That was unexpected," Akari commented as she followed me into our closet.
"I agree. You don't think we pushed her too far?"
Akari gently put a hand on my arm, "I don't think so. It was bound to happen with us still sleeping naked at night," Akari trailed off at the end.
"You think this will change things?"
"Leo, of course it will. But I don't think it'll be bad. She's too shy to do much as far as public displays of affection are concerned."
That made me smile. Ayame was so adorable, it was hard to believe we were the same age sometimes. Akari and I dressed quickly and headed downstairs to start breakfast. Seeing as it was Airi and Yuki's first morning with us here, we set about making a large spread for breakfast.
It wasn't much later that Ayame joined us downstairs, helping us set up for breakfast. Seeing two extra place settings on the table meant that we needed a bigger table, but that was easy enough for me to manage with my magic.
Just before we finished making breakfast, Aria and Yuki came downstairs in loose-fitting sleepwear and joined Ayame at the table.
"Good morning, girls," I called to them over my shoulder as Akari and I began to plate breakfast, "I hope you both slept well."
"The bed was incredibly comfortable," Yuki smiled at us as she poured herself a cup of coffee from the pot on the table.
Airi merely grunted in acknowledgment as she too poured herself a cup of coffee. She eyed me cautiously, as if she was nervous about me. "The walls are quite thin," she simply stated.
I glanced at Akari to see her stifle a small giggle, "I hope we didn't wake you up too early," Akari said as she turned around to bring plates full of food to the table. Ayame was hiding her blush behind her hands and refusing to look at anyone.
"I didn't wake up early. Did you, Airi?"
Airi shook her head at Yuki, but kept her eyes on me. She doesn't seem too excited about the nature of my peerage, I thought as I took my seat across from her, I'll have to make sure I give her plenty of space and let her come around to it on her own.
"Anyways," I began, clearing my throat, "I'm glad you both slept well. Today we are going to continue your training, so be sure to eat plenty of breakfast."
Both girls nodded at my words and dug into their food. As per the usual, everyone enjoyed Akari's food though this time it was mostly in silence.
"What did you have in mind for today, love?" Akari asked me once everyone was just about done eating.
"Well, I think we should all start in the gym. Since Airi and Yuki are new, I'll start them off on the same beginner routine until we come up with a more individualized workout plan for them."
"I don't really want to lift weights," Airi commented, a bit of attitude leaking into her voice.
"I can come up with a routine for you that doesn't require weights, if you prefer. But for now, I need you to get used to the enhanced strength being a reincarnated devil gives you."
Airi seemed to accept that, but still seemed a little put out.
"Do you have any preference, Yuki?"
Yuki pondered my question for a moment before shaking her head, "Whatever you think is best. I'm not very familiar with regular exercise besides running and hiking. You would know better than I what I need to work on, anyways."
"Okay. If at any point you don't enjoy your routine just let me know and we can shake it up a bit. It's important that you at least don't hate working out, if you can't come to enjoy it."
"Leo is a bit of an exercise nut," Akari teased me, her mug of coffee hiding her pretty smile from me.
"I'm not an exercise nut, I just think it's important for us to stay in shape," I replied, rolling my eyes at her.
"I'm with Leo on this one," Ayame spoke up, "If we are going to be fighting a lot we need to be as strong as we can be."
"I thought you were exaggerating about us being forced to fight a lot," Airi admitted.
"Unfortunately, for the time being I see a lot of fighting in our future," I admitted, rubbing the back of my neck, "I hope that sometime soon we will be able to settle down and live a more peaceful life, but first…" I trailed off, lost in thought about avenging my family. Ayame sensed my rapidly spiraling thoughts and reached out to hold my hand, giving it a soft reassuring squeeze.
I smiled at her in thanks, and returned my attention to today, "After our workouts in the gym, we will move outside to the obstacle course. I want to see how well you both handle different types of terrain and obstacles. It'll give me a better idea of where to focus your training," I explained, finishing the last bite of my breakfast.
Airi, on the other hand, looked less enthused. "I suppose it can't hurt to try," she muttered, though her tone was less than enthusiastic.
"It'll be good for you," Akari added, giving Airi an encouraging smile.
Ayame, who had been quiet for most of the meal, nodded in agreement.
Airi seemed to relax a little after being encouraged by the girls, though she still kept her eyes on her plate.
"After the obstacle course, we'll do some sparring," I continued, noticing the shift in Airi's demeanor. "Nothing too intense, just enough to get you both used to your new abilities in combat situations. And remember, this is all about improvement, not perfection."
Airi and Yuki both nodded, though Airi still seemed somewhat guarded. I made a mental note to keep an eye on her during the training sessions.
"This afternoon, a new potential peerage member will be joining us here. So we will take a break around then."
Airi eyed me even more suspiciously now, "Adding another already?"
"Airi," Yuki gasped, surprised by the venom in her sister's voice.
I groaned internally at how difficult she was being, but I honestly couldn't blame her. Despite that, I couldn't let her continuously challenge me like this. She needed to realize that she signed up for this and that I was in charge.
Before I could speak, however, Ayame beat me to the punch, "We planned to have her over before you two joined…"
"Ayame," I cut her off, hearing the heat in her voice as she defended me. She gave me a look like she wanted to continue to argue, but I simply squeezed her hand in thanks for the support.
Turning back to Airi, I let out a breath of air from my nose before I responded firmly, "You knew that this was likely to happen when you signed up for this. I agree that it is sudden for you, but you need to realize that we are all on the same team here. More people in my peerage means we are stronger, and therefore safer."
"I don't see you adding other men into your peerage," she continued to challenge me.
"Because I won't come to love other men like I do Akari or Ayame," Ayame swooned slightly at hearing me say that I love her, "And before you assume it, it has nothing to do with sex. Sure, that's a nice bonus."
"Really nice bonus," Akari winked at me, Ayame blushed even deeper.
I rolled my eyes at Akari before continuing, "But I began to love them before we did anything like that. It's unfair for you to judge us for a relationship you don't understand. Any insults, implied or said, directed at me are directed at them and I won't stand for that. Do you understand me?"
I raised an eyebrow at her, my facial expression making it clear that I would not be argued with over this.
"I'm sorry for Airi," Yuki said, turning to give her sister a harsh look, "this is all very new." Airi barely acknowledged her sister apologizing for her, but did drop her gaze back to her empty plate.
"We know," Akari began, putting a hand on my shoulder to help ease some of the tension out, "It's not an easy dynamic to adjust to, certainly not in just a few nights. But we'll do everything we can to help you both adjust and feel comfortable."
Ayame continued to look directly at Airi, her 'I'm not happy with you' look was incredibly adorable on her beautiful face, but she nodded at Akari's words.
"On that note, why don't we get the day started. Akari, can you show them upstairs to the gym? I'll clean up the kitchen."
The girls followed Akari upstairs while I moved all of the used plates and dishes to the side of the sink to be washed. While I cleaned, I thought about the conversation and tried to think of what I could have done or said differently to prevent Airi getting upset.
By the time I finished cleaning, I realized that not only was that impossible, but that I shouldn't worry about pandering to her sensitivity on the subject. If everyone walked on eggshells around her trying not to upset her then we'd be distracted from the things that actually mattered.
Upset and still slightly annoyed, I entered the gym set on completing my own workout for the day. Akari walked the sisters through the different machines and taught them the beginner's routine that she had used while Ayame was working on her own routine as well.
Seems she's as upset as I am, I thought as I mentally planned to talk to her later about it.
I ended up pushing myself a bit harder in my workout than I had planned, I guess I was a bit more worked up than I thought I had been, and had taken my shirt off part way through. Sweat clung to my skin and made my growing muscles shimmer in the light of the gym.
A few times I caught the girls staring at me in between sets, even Airi couldn't resist a couple of glances my way. I winked at Akari and Ayame when I caught them, making Akari grin deviously and Ayame blush.
Before long we all finished in the gym and headed outside to the obstacle course. We took turns running through the course and when we weren't running we were sending low powered spells at each other in an effort to slow the others down. Akari and Airi were not pulling their punches against me, however, and more than once one of them managed to make me eat shit around the course. At first, Airi's smug look everytime she managed to catch me off guard annoyed me, but after a while I could see that she was enjoying herself and figured it couldn't hurt to let her work out her emotions a bit.
I quickly noted that Airi and Yuki both seemed to prefer a similar style of combat. Like Akari, they preferred to maintain their distance, sending small condensed spheres of wind or water at me from unexpected angles. Yet, unlike Akari they both much preferred to remain mobile, always trying to switch their positions and keep me on my toes. Similarly to how Ayame never stayed in the same spot very long, except Airi and Yuki would only close the distance if absolutely necessary.
At one point, I noticed that Airi had stopped forming her spells into small orbs and instead flattened them and gave them sharp edges. They flew significantly faster and seemed more accurate now, and I began to mentally refer to them as shurikens.
They're like ninjas, I thought in exasperation whilst laying in the mud. Airi and Yuki had managed to get me in a crossfire while I used multiple ropes to swing across a mud pit. Thoughts of having my own personal ninjas flitted across my mind as I slowly began to pull myself up.
We realized that we got a bit too carried away on the obstacle course as afternoon approached and we hadn't sparred yet. I sent the girls inside to clean up with the promise that we would spar later. As they headed inside, I walked the course to reset it and make sure that we didn't damage it too much in our fun.
About an hour later I was done in the washroom and in the middle of changing when I heard our doorbell ring. Pulling my shirt on as I moved swiftly down the stairs, I was the first to arrive at the door to open it.
Mizuki stood in front of me, her school uniform as neat and proper as it always was. Her usual twintails were replaced by a single ponytail, but her bangs still framed her cute face.
"Mizuki, welcome. Please come in," I greeted her and gestured for her to enter. She nodded and stepped inside, her eyes taking in every detail of our home.
"Who's this," Akari asked as she approached from the living room. She had a mischievous smile on her face, but I silently thanked any deity that would listen that she had adjusted her kimono. Her cleavage had been adjusted from its usual 'practically spilling out' to a modest, for Akari, 'extremely suggestive'.
"Mizuki Akatsuki," Mizuki said primly, extending a hand to Akari.
Akari grabbed her hand for a moment before pulling her into a hug, "We do hugs around here," Akari grinned at me over Mizuki's shoulder as she enveloped the smaller girl in a tight hug.
I rolled my eyes at Akari before I stepped around them and into the living room, "You'll have to excuse Akari. She's a troublemaker." I pulled Akari to my side as they separated and led her over to the couch. The rest of my peerage was already seated, watching a cooking competition on TV.
"Please, make yourself comfortable," I said as I sat down with Akari, patting the couch next to me,"I'd like you to meet the League of Supernatural Explorers."
Mizuki sat to my left, leaving a good amount of space on either side of herself as she looked around the couch.
Gesturing to each girl, I mentioned their names, "Everyone, this is Mizuki. She's a chess prodigy here at Kuoh Academy."
The mention of her being a chess prodigy finally managed to get some emotion out of the reserved girl as she blushed a little.
"It's nice to meet you all," she said, nodding at them.
"I love your hair," Ayame exclaimed from Mizuki's other side, "Who did your bangs? They look amazing!"
That seemed to open the floodgate as what followed next was a rapidfire exchange of compliments between Mizuki and the girls that happened so quickly it left my head spinning slightly.
Taking pity on my dazed expression, Akari spoke up for me, "So, Mizuki. What has Leo told you about what we do?"
"Not much. He was awfully cryptic about it all. But he did talk about how you all compete in a competition similar to chess, somehow, but also dangerous enough that you could die?"
Akari seemed to pause for a moment as if considering her words, "I suppose that's not entirely untrue, though it is heavily simplified."
"It's not like I could have told her much more in public," I complained.
"Which is why I am here. You said that you could explain more," Mizuki seemed eager to hear more.
"Right. So I don't really know a better way to go about it, so…." I trailed off and repeated my action from the other night for Airi. As soon as the small flame appeared over my outstretched palm, Mizuki jumped in fright, but seemed more curious than scared.
"How…How are you doing that," she asked, her eyes switching from staring at the flame in my hand to roaming the room, as if looking for projectors.
"I'm not human. Well, not entirely…"
Thankfully, once I introduced the concept of devils and magic, Akari took over for me. Ayame and the others added a few additional details here and there, but Akari did most of the speaking. Thankfully, Airi kept her mouth shut and didn't make this difficult for us.
Eventually Mizuki seemed to be unable to sit still, so began to pace back and forth in front of us. Her right hand clasped her chin in thought as she listened intently to what she was being told. It took me a moment, but I realized she did the same thing when she played chess.
"Why me," Mizuki finally asked once we ran out of things to say.
"Uh, well," I cleared my throat, focusing on how to say this right, "Like we said, I can sense that you have a sacred gear in you, so you'll likely be targeted by the fallen angels in the area for having one. But, you're also beautiful and I can't help but feel drawn to you."
Mizuki blushed heavily from my words and avoided eye contact with me.
"I understand that we become like chess pieces, in a sense, but you still haven't explained this life threateningly dangerous game."
"Right. This is actually new information for some of you as well," I looked at Airi and Yuki to show them that I meant them, "In the Underworld, devils compete in a game called the Rating Game. Not only is it used as a way for devils to gain status and power in their society, but is also used to settle bets or make deals."
"Essentially, there are two variants that can be played. In one, each King rolls a six-sided dice. The numbers are added and that is the 'strength number' that can be used in the battle, and will pick among their peerage pieces a combination who's strength value doesn't exceed that number. Each piece is assigned a number. One for pawns, three for knights and bishops, five for rooks, nine for queens, and a range between one and twelve for the King. The members chosen will battle the other team, and the losing members are removed from the game. The first peerage to have no members remaining loses."
"The other variant is a larger scale, team-based battle in which all members of the peerage participate in one fight. There are different rule sets, like capture the flag, but for the most part this variant is fought similarly to chess. Each team fights until either a predetermined condition is met or one side loses their King."
I trailed off, letting them absorb what I had said so far. I could tell that Mizuki, despite trying not to show it, was close to being overwhelmed.
"Leo is likely to face a lot of scrutiny when he returns to the Underworld. Not only is he a mixed-heritage devil, but he also has a peerage of reincarnated humans," Akari added.
"What's that supposed to mean," Airi took offense to Akari's words.
"Akari meant nothing against any of you. What she means is that Devil society looks down on non-pure blooded Devils. Most of the older families that survived the Great War believe that they need to keep their bloodlines pure, and believe that anyone who mixes their bloodline with non-pure blooded devils is diluting their power and therefore damaging Devil society as a whole."
Silence met my words as most of the girls, besides Akari, stared at me in disbelief. To be honest, I had probably looked the same when Rias and I had spoken of this not too long ago.
Turning back to Mizuki I said, "Honestly, Mizuki, you have a brilliant mind for strategy. While I am confident in my girls' strength and ability, I need someone who can help me best utilize their strength and abilities in battle. I need a strategist."
Mizuki's eyes lit up as she finally understood everything I had been hinting at since I met her. Her eyes scanned all of us for a bit before another blush ignited on her face and neck and she quickly dropped her gaze to her feet.
After a moment she finally looked up at me, though a hint of that blush still remained, "I think… I think I'd like to join you all."
Akari squealed in delight and jumped up to wrap the smaller girl in a huge hug. Mizuki's blush returned in full force when Ayame joined as well. Airi and Yuki seemed slightly uncomfortable watching off to the side, though Yuki at least had a soft smile on her face.
I couldn't quite decipher the look on Airi's face, but the more I observed her the more I noticed that she often took her social cues from her sister. Perhaps the key to breaking down whatever walls she had up to protect herself lay in her sister. I didn't quite know how I was going to do that, but I resolved myself to remain patient and wait for an opportunity.
Soon Akari's excitement died down enough that I could get her to retrieve my Evil Pieces and I selected the king side bishop for Mizuki. As I performed the ritual to turn Mizuki into a reincarnated devil, I realized that all I truly needed now was a rook and I'd have a pretty balanced peerage. Not to mention that my peerage would also be pretty on par with Rias', if I ignored Issei requiring eight pawns.
As the ritual concluded, the faint glow of the Evil Piece faded into Mizuki's chest, leaving her standing still, her hands lightly clasped in front of her. She blinked a few times, her expression unreadable, before looking up at me. The faint blush that had persisted earlier deepened, but there was something different in her demeanor.
"Welcome to the team," I said, my voice steady but warm. "You're one of us now."
Akari clapped her hands together with a delighted grin. "This is perfect! Mizuki, you're going to fit right in. I just know it!" She leaned in with a playful look toward Ayame. "Don't you think so?"
Ayame gave a small, encouraging nod, her chestnut braid bouncing slightly as she spoke. "It's reassuring to have someone like Mizuki with us. Strategy makes all the difference."
Mizuki shifted slightly under their attention, her hands curling into loose fists. "I'll… I'll try not to let anyone down," she said quietly, her words deliberate.
Airi, seated on the edge of a chair with one leg crossed over the other, tilted her head. "No pressure," she remarked, her tone teasing but not unkind.
Yuki placed a calming hand on Airi's arm. "He wouldn't have chosen her otherwise," she said with a soft smile. "Mizuki, we're glad to have you with us."
Airi glanced momentarily at Yuki's hand on her arm, "Right, yeah. We're glad you're here."
"You won't," I said, cutting through her hesitation. "No one's expecting you to shoulder this alone. This is a team effort."
Mizuki's shoulders eased slightly at the support, but her blush deepened when Akari practically dragged her over to the sofa. "Come on, sit! We need to know more about you," Akari insisted cheerfully, patting the seat next to her. "What do you like? What don't you like? Tell us everything!"
Mizuki hesitated, her fingers tugging gently at the hem of her skirt. "I, um… I like chess," she said, her voice soft but steady. "And… blueberries."
Ayame's face lit up, her hands clasping together. "Blueberries are the best. Leo makes the best blueberry pancakes."
Yuki leaned back in her seat, her long hair cascading over her shoulders. "Chess, huh? That's impressive. Were you in tournaments or clubs?"
Mizuki nodded, a flicker of pride crossing her face. "I played in tournaments. It's what got me into Kuoh Academy on scholarship."
I crossed my arms, watching her as she answered. "You've got a sharp mind. That's going to be important for us in the Rating Games."
Ayame giggled happily, leaning forward slightly. "So, you're the brain. Akari and I are the muscle," she then tilted her head to the side as she took in Airi and Yuki, "Airi and Yuki are our assassins."
Airi grinned predatorily, making Yuki shake her head slowly with a smile, "What does that make Leo," Yuki asked conspiratorially.
"Easy," Ayame answered quickly, her face split by a huge grin, "He's the pretty face and our cheerleader." My affronted look at Ayame's joke made everyone laugh loudly, Airi most of all.
"Hey, now! Wait just a minute…" I began to say but Akari cut me off.
"Yes, yes, you're a strong independent man capable of fighting for himself," she grinned as she pulled me close by the shoulder. That set the girls off into another round of laughter and made me roll my eyes.
I gave Ayame and Akari a look I hope they were able to interpret as a thank you, but also a promise to get them back later.
Akari winked at me and then looked back at Mizuki. "See? Everyone has their role here. And yours is no less important than anyone else's."
The group fell into a natural rhythm of conversation, the mood lightening as we shared small stories and interests. Mizuki, though still reserved, began to relax as she listened to the others. She didn't speak often, but when she did, everyone listened intently, her words carrying a degree of weight to them that made them hard to ignore.
Watching her gradually warm up to everyone, I could see the value she added to the group wasn't just in her mind—it was her ability to think deeply, to observe and process before acting. This was the first step in integrating her into our team, and as the evening went on, it felt like she was starting to see it too.
Suddenly, I got a call from Rias that she wanted to talk to me. I excused myself from the girls, promising that I would be back as soon as I could as I kissed Ayame and Akari on the tops of their heads, and headed for the transportation room.
Entering Rias' meeting room, I found her and her peerage waiting for me.
"Leo, thank you for joining us," Rias called as she gestured for me to sit.
I bumped fists with Issei and nodded at Kiba as I took a seat on the only empty couch, "Of course. It sounded a little urgent."
"Oh, it's nothing too serious. I just thought I'd include you in this discussion as it will be very important for you and your peerage as well."
"Oh? I would have brought them along if you had said so,"
"It's not that important," Akeno said from her usual spot next to Rias, "and it won't take long."
I simply raised an eyebrow at Rias and waited for her to elaborate, "I was just telling Issei that he is ready for his familiar. Technically, a devil can get a familiar at any time, but it just so happens that tomorrow night is the perfect time for us to go looking."
"Ah, yes. I remember when we talked about them some time ago. It's finally time?"
"Hey, wait a minute. Get in line, Leo," Issei shouted, his excitement over getting a familiar spilling out of him.
Just then, the doors to Rias' meeting room opened again. Sona and Tsubaki led her peerage into the room.
"Sona! So nice of you to join us," Rias called.
"Woah! What are they doing here," Issei wondered aloud.
"Issei, Who are these people," Asia asked.
"The one in the middle is Sona Shitori, our class president. The rest of them are the rest of the class council."
"Of course, I just couldn't help myself knowing that you were likely going to go after some familiars for your newest members tomorrow night," Sona answered, still the perfect picture of calm and collected.
"Hold on, how does she know about all that," Issei asked, his confusion clear on his face.
"Her real name is Sona Sitri, heir to the House of Sitri. The student council is a front for her peerage," Akeno answered Issei.
"There are other devils at our school," Issei turned to look at Rias, his face a mix of confusion and surprise.
I cleared my throat before laughing as Issei had completely forgotten about me.
"No-no, Leo… I didn't forget about you. I just.."
"I have to say, Rias, I'm a little hurt you didn't tell your little boyfriend about us," a blonde haired man said from behind Sona's right shoulder.
"But, I guess he must not be worth all that much to you if you don't tell him things," he continued.
"Saji, it's impolite to get involved in another House's business. You know this," Sona corrected him
"Wait, Saji? I remember you. You were voted onto our class council in our last year of high school right?"
"Yes, Saji is also my pawn," Sona added.
"Wait, you're a pawn too? That means we're both totally twinsies," Issei seemed happy that he had finally met another pawn.
"Can it, loser. You and your gaggle of bimbos barely deserve to be in the same room as the Devils of House Sitri."
"Don't you dare insult Rias or the others like that," Issei shouted, clenching his fists as if he was ready for a fight.
"It's cute how mad you're getting, but unfortunately for you you wouldn't stand a chance against me, and not even your gay prince charming could possibly protect you from me. I took up four pawn pieces," Saji gloated as he held up four fingers.
I glanced at Kiba to see how he'd take the insult, but he simply rolled his eyes and slightly smirked in indifference.
"Check your facts before you make a fool of yourself, and me," Sona said, a slight touch of disappointment in her voice as she addressed Saji, "Issei took up eight pawn pieces."
"Wait, what? You can't be serious! How did this…"
"As entertaining as this dick measuring contest is, boys," I looked at issei and Saji as I finally entered the conversation, "but let the adults speak before you bore us all to death."
Issei at least had the grace to look embarrassed, but Saji looked as if he was going to argue with me now. Sona held a hand out to cut Saji off as Koneko and Akeno giggled at my words, "He's right, Saji. Enough."
"Moving on," Rias said with a slight smile at Issei's antics, "you are correct that we were talking about getting familiars tomorrow night."
"During the blood moon? That was our plan as well, but he only takes one group at a time…"
"Why don't we settle this with a contest, hmm?"
"A contest?"
"Yes, there are three devil houses that need to acquire familiars," Rias gestured to me and I nodded at her, thanking her for including me in this, "Winner gets to pick their familiars first."
"Surely you don't mean by a Rating Game, right? This isn't exactly the time to call attention to yourself, now is it," Sona smirked at Rias.
"Don't go there," Rias said sharply, her expression changing from one of mirth to that of annoyance. That certainly struck a nerve. I wonder what she has going on that she felt like she couldn't tell me about, I thought to myself as I observed them both closely.
"I know," Rias said, returning to her previous attitude as if nothing had just happened, "Why don't we settle this with some good ole' fashioned sports!"
"You're kidding?" Sona asked, her gaze glancing at me, "It's hardly fair since I know almost nothing about Leo's peerage."
"It's fair then," I said, "We know almost nothing about yours."
Hello everyone and happy Friday! This is a much shorter chapter as the ending that I had planned to write I just couldn't get right. After three full revisions I decided to cut it entirely as just time skip. It was kind of boring to write and was probably going to be boring to read as well. I couldn't get the competition between all three peerages that determines the order of getting familiars to come out right. And the hunt for familiars felt unnecessary and kind of boring since I am going to plan to have familiars take an extreme back seat in the purposes of this story. Honestly, I just decided to scrap both so I could move on and get to the good parts of the story. Maybe in the future I will come back and give this another try. If that happens I will let you all know when I update this chapter.
I hope you all enjoyed this short chapter and I'll see you all in the next one!
