Holy f*CK! Guys, I kid you not, this was the worst author block I've ever had since I started writing, it was worse than the actual hiatus I had last year, because this time I had the time to write, but my mind didn't make anything for almost a month! What the hell?!

And to make the matter worse, I got braces for the first time and OH MY GOD, this is the most painful and annoying experience I've ever had in my life, somebody save me.

Something funny happened though, I thought that finishing a first chapter for ANOTHER story I'm planning would help me and I tried to start working on it, but then I had a dream of this concept in the middle of it and ended up making THIS story from scratch in TWO DAYS, this went from absolute zero to a full chapter in TWO DAYS, so I guess I'm back?

Aight, let's get into it.

Kingdom of Kanto, 10 years ago.

"Faster!" A young girl shouted with a wooden sword in hand while a Galarian Farfetch'd tried to attack her from various directions only to be blocked every time by the girl while they were at the backyard of her house. "You're too slow, Farfetch'd!" She said blocking him again to then slash him away. "If we really want to be knights, we can't have a flaw! A slow slash could be the difference between life and death! Now hit me!"

"Fetch'd!" The duck shouted and dashed to her with an Aerial Ace, attacking with a wide swing from his leek, the girl blocked it again with her wooden sword, but as the duo continued to push against each other, the wooden sword started to crack, but before the two could stop, the leek broke through it and landed a cut on the girl's arm.

"AGH!" She shouted taking a few steps back and holding the injury as it started to bleed out.

"FARFETCH'D!" The duck shouted running to aid her.

"N-No! it's fine, don't worry, that was a great hit." She answered. "T-This is just a scratch, I was the one who pushed you so-"

"ARE YOU OKAY?!" A boy suddenly shouted coming from a nearby bush and the girl and her Farfetch'd simply stared at him. "I, uh... Hi?"

"Intruder!" She shouted and Farfetch'd used Aerial Ace again, taking flight above the boy to then dive down and hit him on his back, pushing him to fall next the girl's feet, while she pointed the leek to him with her injured arm while still covering the cut with her other arm.

"Far!" Farfetch'd exclaimed landing on the boy's back to then point at the girl's nearby house.

"Right, F-Fathe-!"

"No, wait! Please don't call anyone!" The boy exclaimed. "I-I promise I mean no harm, please, just let me talk."

"What... Were you doing inside my second favorite bush?" She asked still pointing the leek at him.

"I'll explain you in a moment." He answered. "But first, can I see you arm?"

"You don't look like a guy who likes blood." She answered.

"No, I mean, I can use healing magic, well, I'm practicing with it." He said. "Please, let me heal your cut."

"What are you talking about? This is just a minor injury." She answered. "Why would you go through the trouble of using magic on it?"

"Even small injuries can become troublesome if they get infected or if you lose too much blood." He answered. "And like I told you, I'm still practicing magic, but... It's not like I have anyone to practice it on, you get it?"

"I guess..." She answered. "Fine, but if you try anything weird, Farfetch'd will cut you in half, got it?"

"Got it." He answered and Farfetch'd jumped off his back, finally letting him stand up, the girl then got her hand off her injury and he placed both hands right above the cut, surrounding it in a small ball of light.

"Does it hurt?" He asked.

"No, I... It stopped hurting." She said.

"That's a good sign." He answered. "Just give me a few seconds and it should be done."

"Thanks a lot; and sorry about the rough introduction, but you scared me a bit." She replied. "Pretty convenient that you happened to be here just when I was injured, huh?"

"Uh, yeah, about that..." The boy looked around for a moment before sighing. "To answer your earlier question, this isn't exactly the first time I'm here."

"What do you mean?"

"I come to the town from time to time and I saw you training the other day, and since then I like to see you train sometimes... And with sometimes, I mean often." He admitted with a light blush.

"Oh... Well, uh, I'm glad it's interesting enough to watch." She answered. "My name is Beatrice, by the way, Beatrice Cornelia Leonidas."

"Man, that's a long name." He said. "I'll just call you Bea, is that okay?"

"Bea? Uh... Sure, I guess." She answered. "Well, in case you didn't notice, I'm a Knight; or at least I'm training to be one, I come from a big family of knights."

"Huh, I didn't know girls could also be knights."

"It is a little rarer, yes." Beatrice answered. "But my father and mother couldn't get a boy and the legacy isn't allowed to stop, I suppose... Hey, wait, you said that you come to the town from time to time, that means you're not from around here, right? Where are you from?"

"I'm-"

"Ash!" A purple-haired woman in a long purple dress called him from the other side of the fence of the backyard. "Gosh, I finally found you, what do you think you're doing out here?! What if your mother finds out you left?!"

"Sorry, Miss Fantina!" He exclaimed. "Guess that's my cue to leave..." He sighed before pulling his hands back and the two saw there wasn't even a scar left on the girl's arm. "See? Good as new."

"Wow, you must be a really skilled magician." She said.

"Eh, like I told you, I'm still practicing." He answered. "But you seem confident about becoming a knight, so I'll try to be confident on this as well."

"Ash, we need to go back. Now." Fantina insisted.

"Going, going." He answered before looking at the girl again. "Nice to meet you, Bea."

"Uh, yeah, nice to meet you too, Ash." She replied and the boy smiled before walking away. "You, eh, i-if you wanna see me train again, I'll be right here!"

"Sure, see you soon!" Ash answered and jumped over the fence to be in front of Fantina. "Sorry about leaving, but you know I don't like being stuck so much... How did you know I was here, though?

"Jeanette told me, of course." Fantina answered as she turned around and started to walk away, with Ash walking by her side. "She may be your compliance most of the time, but she knows she has a duty to fulfill if she wants to inherit my spot."

"Good for her, but I feel kinda betrayed now." Ash answered.

"Just remember, Ash, everything that we do is for you own safety." Fantina replied.

"Yeah, yeah, I know... Thanks, really." He said and Fantina simply gave him a smile, while Bea continued to look at the two leaving until she lost them in the distance.

"Ash..." She whispered.

Present time.

"Ash... that kid, I... I never saw him again, yet, for some reason, I keep thinking about our encounter... Perhaps because he was the last guy to look at me as a 'person' rather than a knight... And...because of what he did, I've gotten my fair share of knowledge about magic since then, I found out that healing magic is very hard to use, it's not something you'd expect some random kid to have, and even then, from what I've heard, healing magic doesn't exactly come 'out of nowhere', the magic user has to share his life force with the receiver, in simple terms they're giving up on their own life to heal someone, it was a small injury, so that kid shouldn't have wasted much, maybe some minutes of his life, an hour or so... But even then, that's an hour less that he'll live, and he did that for me, a complete stranger, that's not something easy to forget... I'd like to see him one more time and... Say thanks again at least."

The girl stopped talking to herself and opened her eyes to see the sunrise, finding herself sitting atop an observation tower, wearing a classic knight armor bar the helmet, with her now Sirfetch'd in standby next to her.

'Nevermind that.' She kept thinking. 'It's been 10 years since that day, Sirfetch'd and I are currently on-duty knights of the Kingdom of Kanto, we're both quite respected, among the best of the best, that, however, implies a lot of work to do, the kingdom has a mostly peaceful relationship with its surrounding neighbours, but that doesn't stop some rascals from trying to ruin the peace, but that's what we knights are for, I'm currently the leader of an all-female squad and although we've been victorious so far, that hasn't prevented me from getting a few battle scars, nothing I can't live with, of course, but-'

"Hey, Bea!" A voice called her.

"Uh, yes?" She snapped out to then look down the tower and see one of her 'brothers' in arms. "How do you do, Visquez?"

"You were doing that inner narration thing again, weren't you?" Visquez asked.

"Eh, it helps me clear my mind." Beatrice answered. "What do you need?"

"We just got a message from the castle." Vizquez answered. "It's from the Queen herself."

"T-The Queen?!" Beatrice shouted and quickly ran down the stairs of the tower, while her Sirfetch'd jumped out of the window and landed next to Visquez with an Aerial Ace, moments before Beatrice emerged from the door of the tower. "Then let's move! What are we waiting for?!"

"Yeah, about that, the rest of the gang and I will be staying here for the moment." She said handing over a piece of paper to Beatrice and she started reading it while her Sirfetch'd jumped to her shoulder to do the same. "It looks like the Queen wants to see you in specific, Dame Beatrice." Visquez explained while Beatrice's eyes widened as she confirmed that by reading the message.

"B-But... Why just me?" Beatrice asked.

"How am I supposed to know?" Vizquez asked back. "A Pidove came flying with this thing and just left afterwards."

"Fine then, it's not like we can leave the Queen waiting anyway." Beatrice answered. "I'll be on my way, you're in charge of everything until I get back, understood? Get yourselves ready too, I might come back with a mission."

"Yes, sir!" Visquez said with a salute and Beatrice quickly ran away being followed by her Sirfetch'd.

"Well, this is one way to start a day... why would she want to see me out of a sudden?" Beatrice started talking in her mind again. "The Queen... She's been the absolute ruler of the Kingdom since the death of her husband, she has a heart of gold, but she also knows when it's necessary to show an iron fist, she doesn't; and I mean doesn't, forgive traitors or anyone who puts the kingdom in danger, I tend to receive orders from her, but I've only seen in her in person a few times when she's visiting the towers or needs a escort, hmm... If she want to talk with me personally then that means I have to meet her in the throne room... Huh, now I wonder if the prince will be there with her, coming to think of it, I've never seen the prince in person, his mother doesn't let him go out much and when he is outside I tend to be working in something else, oh well, at least I'll get to meet him, his name is Toshi or something I think; and from what I've been told, he's a very powerful sorcerer and his mother is worried about losing him like she lost the king-" Her inner narration was suddenly interrupted when she crashed face first against the huge front doors of the castle.

"D-Dame Beatrice! Are you okay?!" A knight atop one of the walls of the castle asked.

"Y-Yeah, sorry, I got distracted with my own thoughts again." She said rubbing her face while Sirfetch'd simply stared at her. "Uh, could you guys open the door for me?"

"Of course! We're on our way!" The knight answered.

"I seriously started off with the wrong foot today." Beatrice said taking a few steps back.

"Sir!" Sirfetch'd told her suddenly pointing his sword at her.

"Hey, I'm not nervous, I'm just... Curious about this whole thing, you know?" Beatrice said. "What is so important that the Queen had to tell me in person instead of just sending it along the message?" She asked before the door started to open and looked at her Sirfetch'd again.

"Sir..." He told her.

"You're right... there's only one way to find out." Beatrice said as she entered the castle, only to be received by a purple-haired girl in a kimono with a Bellsprout by her side.

"Good day to you, Miss Beatrice." She said. "We've been expecting you, my name is Jeanette, but you may call me Miss Fisher, I'm the Castle Steward."

"The castle what?" Beatrice asked.

"Ah, yes, I imagine the title must be unknown for you, blood-bathing people." She answered. "To put it terms you can understand, my responsibility is to make sure everything in the castle is where it should be when it should be, and you, my lady, are about two minutes late for your encounter with the Queen."

"Oh, alright, I think I get it." Beatrice answered. "And sorry about the delay too, I wasn't exactly close when I received the message, you see?"

"I am indeed seeing you, now, please follow me, the Queen and the prince should be waiting for you in the throne room."

"Lead the way then." Beatrice nodded and Jeanette started walking away before she followed her. "So, uh, do you know why the Queen wants to see me?"

"I'm afraid not, but I imagine we'll both have an answer soon." Jeanette replied and after roughly a minute, the two ended up in front of a large door guarded by two knights. "This is the Dame that the Queen has requested to see, you may let us in." She told them and both knights opened the door, Jeanette then led the way again and Beatrice followed her inside the throne room.

"I always forget how big this place is..." Beatrice said to herself while she looked around as the two walked until they were in front of the Queen.

"Your majesty." Beatrice called her while pulling out her sword and took a knee along with it. "Dame Beatrice Cornelia Leonidas presents herself in front of you, per your request."

"Although, she happens to be a few minutes late, Queen Delia." Jeanette added while taking a bow.

"You're always so strict with that topic, Jeanette." She answered with a short laugh. "Please, stand up, Beatrice." The Queen said and Beatrice instantly obeyed and sheathed her sword while also finally looking directly at the ruler who also stood up from her throne, wearing a long orange dress, a small tiara on her head and having her brown hair tied in a ponytail while giving the knight a warm smile. "So here you are, I always hear good reports from you and I know you've accompanied me in some escorts, but I think this is the first time we have an actual conversation, right?"

"Yes, that's correct, your majesty." Beatrice answered. "And I'm more than honored by the chance, may I ask what do you need from me?"

"Well, Beatrice, I have a very special mission that I need to be attended and through process of elimination, I determined that you're the most capable knight for the job."

"I-I'm honored that you think so highly of me, your majesty." Beatrice answered. "Whatever that duty is, I promise I won't disappoint you."

"I'm counting on that." Delia said. "As for what exactly your duty will be, well, first I'd need him to be here, but-"

"Mother!" The doors of the room opened and a person in a formal blue outfit ran to the meeting until he was next to Beatrice and Jeanette.

"Late as always, Prince Ash." Jeanette said with a small smile.

"S-Sorry about the delay, I was working on something." He said to Jeannette while catching his breath to then look at Beatrice and the two froze in place while they saw each other's faces.

"..."

"..."

"EEEEEEEH?!" The two shouted.

"Uh, what's going on?" Jeanette asked.

"Y-You're that girl..." He said under his breath.

"You're that boy..." She answered. "YOU'RE THE PRINCE?!" Beatrice suddenly shouted before covering her mouth.

"Oh, do you... Happen to know each other?" Delia asked.

"Uh, I-I-I..." Beatrice stared at Ash again for a moment and he quickly shook his head in silence. "N-No, your majesty, I've never seen him before, I-I guess I expected someone a little younger, that's all."

"Yes! A-And I've seen her with the knights sometimes!" He added. "But I've never talked with her, hehe."

"Oh, I see..." Delia answered with a giggle. "Well, well, I'll be doing the introductions just in case, Beatrice, this, as you may have guessed, is Satoshi, the prince of the Kingdom, my only son and heir, as for you, Satoshi, this is Beatrice, one of the best knights we have and from now on she will be your personal bodyguard."

"HIS WHAT?!" Jeanette suddenly shouted while Satoshi and Beatrice stared at each other again.

"..."

"..."

"EEEEEEEH?!" The two shouted again.

And that's it!

There, I managed to write something!

Right, so firstly this story is based on the manga "A Story About Treating a Female Knight, Who Has Never Been Treated as a Woman, as a Woman."

My lord, that's a long name, good thing I found something shorter for the title of the story, anyhow, hope you enjoyed this first chapter, I'll go back to Fighting Dreamers for now, but a second chapter for this shouldn't be too far away, though I'm still not sure of what Pokemon I should give to Ash here, eh, I'll figure it out later, it'll also be fun to make a story with a mainly fantasy setting, but I'll also keep in mind what I'm planning to write for the 100 NPCs and Timeless Wonders, (I'll also have to revive Heavenly Clouds eventually, right?)

I was also going to have a more 'medieval speech' in this story, but eh, it got annoying fast, I'll probably just do that for some select characters.

And let's also hope this doesn't become a harem too cause you might've already guessed Jeanette's role in this, God, what's wrong with me?

Holdonlupin is out!
