Chapter 29 Evil Monster

Miles away in another part of Europe there was a large mansion that severed as the home for a man called Jeffery Grayson the man who Emily had seen in the news and in actuality he was Barkis Bittern the Bride Butcher. Barkis looked the same as the day he killed Emily all those years ago. In the years that had followed Emily's death Barkis had traveled the lands, until one day he encountered something truly extraordinary that had drastically adulterated and changed his life.
Barkis had been traveling through a town one night planning his next murder, when he overheard some townsfolk talking about a monster know as Mr. Hyde running about. Said monster was said to possess great strength and had been around for a good number of years. Barkis had become interested and decided to join the hunting party for Mr. Hyde. For days they had hunted Mr. Hyde, but they didn't have any luck, then one night Barkis had been roaming the streets, when he spotted a strange man sneaking about in the shadows, with a big build, pale yellow skin and a underbite. It had to be Mr. Hyde!
Barkis tailed Mr. Hyde and followed him to an old building. Mr. Hyde went inside and Barkis had followed him to a room that looked like some kind of lab with various equipment and glass bottles of colorful liquid. Barkis then saw Mr. Hyde change shrinking down to a normal size man with regular skin and normal features. Mr. Hyde was some kind of shapeshifter who used science to change himself. Barkis became intrigued and he decided he wanted to know the monster's secrets. He snuck up on Mr. Hyde and easily subdued him then tied him up. Barkis learned that Mr. Hyde was actually a scientist named Jekyll, who used his scientific formulas to create a potion that allowed him to turn into his alter ego Mr. Hyde. The potion gave Jekyll great strength as well as extended his life. Barkis became interested in the formula and took Jekyll hostage and made him create a similar formula to greatly extend his own life.
In the years that followed Barkis used his newfound power to kill many rich women and had taken on many identities as well as amass a great amount of wealth and power.
In the present Barkis went down to the basement of his home where he had a large cell where he kept Jekyll who worked in a small lab with his alter ego. Jekyll looked up at Barkis and gave him a nervous smile. Barkis gave him a cruel smile and left the basement as he searched the Internet for the next bride he would butcher.
