A/N: Hello friends and welcome to another chapter of The Four Sleeping Fairies! I apologize for taking so long to start writing, but for my first new chapter of 2025, I decided to introduce one Eve Neuschwanstein. Those unaware who this is, I direct you to a manga known as Needless. She is the female lead in the story. There is an anime but it deviates from the manga pretty heavily. Not to say that either one are bad, just understand that there is an anime only ending after 26 episodes.
Chapter 3: Fairy Tail's Doppelganger
Eve Neuschwanstein loved Fairy Tail. That much was obvious, as memories of her early years came rushing back. She was a rather precocious child of eight when she first joined. Like many kids in Fairy Tail she was abandoned by her "family", before journeying to find someone, anyone, to help take care of her. She was scrounging in a trash can outside the meeting hall of the guild masters when she was found by both Makarov and Goldmine. Sensing, somehow, the warmth from Makarov made her follow him all the way to the guild hall in Magnolia. Impressed by her stubbornness, he introduced her to the rest of his children. From there, she met lots of warm people, from literally warm like Natsu, to metaphorically like Naruto.
In fact when she first met Naruto, she followed him everywhere, except on missions. Since she had a weird since of humor, pretending to forget peoples actual names and give them completely different nicknames, she ended up calling him Menma, which ticked him off for a while. When Evergreen discovered Naruto's talent, she kept him away from Eve, much to her disappointment and confusion. Evergreen told her that Naruto didn't need anyone distracting him while he worked on making her popular. All that changed after Naruto protected Evergreen, prompting Eve to break into Porlyusica's house to help him. That was when she discovered her magic, Doppelganger, and after using that to heal him, Evergreen finally let her hang out with her crush (not that she knew or understood) again.
That was enough reminiscing, though. "Doppelganger: Eve Cannon" her hand had become metallic liquid before taking the shape of a fist shaped drill, before punching multiple times, taking out many of the shades that Jose sent after all the Fairy Tail mages on the ground. "Judgement: Execution"
"Where did that come from?" Cana asked, wondering why her best friend would say something so weird.
"It was something I said in my dream while under that damned curse," Eve said, "In that dream, I lived with a pervy lolicon priest, and a bald doctor that turned out to be the main bad guy. Magic also didn't exist so my abilities ran off of calories. I had to drink this really thick soda just to have energy to fight."
"Finish this conversation later," Macao said, attacking another shade with his flames. "We'll learn what happened later. Fight Phantom now, Eve!"
At that, an iron pillar shot a Phantom mage out of the walking guild hall.
"Damn that Gajeel. He wasn't supposed to hurt the hostage. Oh well, might as well pluck some Fairy wings while I'm out here," the mage said, not noticing the dark look Eve had on her face, or the fact that they were surrounded by said Fairies.
"Doppelganger," Eve started, "Ashura Eve."
When they turned, they paled as Eve started to grow four more arms. They screamed as she pummeled him for dissing her family.
"I think she's got this," Macao deadpanned, sweatdropping.
After Eve finished her, lets call it "discipline", of the Phantom mage, who was laying half-buried in the ground, she noticed stormclouds gathering above the guild hall before it started to rain heavily. She also felt magical power in the rain, which meant it wasn't a natural storm. That lasted all of two minutes before a charred figure exploded out of the side of the guild hall and a familiar spell split the clouds and a blonde figure grabbed at a blue figure.
Seeing that, Eve felt something a little annoyed, knowing Naruto caught the blue person before pulling them up. She barely noticed the circle the guild mecha was drawing slow to about three-quarters the speed it started with.
Shaking the odd jealousy she felt, Eve noticed the magic signature next to Naruto (read: her man) and smiled.
"Master," she said, smiling softly, "Your alive." She then noticed the slow gathering of the shades into a larger form and it started to grow hands before pummeling the ruins of the Fairy Tail guild hall. Her smile faded into a furious growl. Phantom is going to pay.
She started to glow a bright golden color. "Doppelganger: Grand Fairy," Eve chanted, as her body grew to the size of the giant shade and grew golden dragonfly-like wings. She then grappled with the shade. Her magic was running low, being freshly awakened, but that wasn't what was important right now. These Phantom pricks have gone too far, destroying what remained of her first real home, and she was going to take revenge. She ignored the voice coming from the walking guild hall asking who the hell she was stopping their "rightful rage against you damned Fairies."
She started to punch and kick the giant shadow, her wings joining in the pummeling. But she was running out of magic, and fast. Grand Fairy was already a rather draining spell, not even considering the fact that she just woke up from a four year sleep.
"Thunderbolt's Fate!" a voice called out as four large lightning bolts hit the shade, giving Eve the room she needed to finish it.
Eve's arm changed form into a giant drill as she punched through the shades and started to spin the drill. "Eve Eclipse!"
The drill spun so fast that the fading shades started to get sucked in and destroyed. After all the shades were gone, Eve shrunk to a child-like size and started to fall, being blinded by a bright light that was warm, before falling unconscious.
As she faded into slumber, a non permanent one this time, her final words were, "Good job, dad."
A/N: And that's my new chapter done! For those who are complaining about the length of my previous chapters compared to my newer ones let me say... I am aware of the problem and I apologize for the downgrade in my content within those standards. I am trying my best to make sure the chapters are just as entertaining as they are long. And that is not very easy. I am not complaining about those comments, I am trying and hope you enjoy regardless of length.
Izuku and Levy's Magical Explanations!
Levy: Wow, who knew Eve-chan could do that?!
Izuku: I know! It looks rather similar to Master's Giant magic but a more...fluid, y'know what I mean, Lechan?
Levy: That's because of her innate magic, Doppelganger. She can use her magic to transform her body into any object she can think of! Its very different to Elfman and Mira's Takeover magic, as they need to take over the beings before they can change into them. Doppelganger, however shifts Eve-chan's body by using magic to mess with the molecules in her body, while also using it to keep it stable enough not to explode. Its like self-changing alchemy. She can even use it to heal people.
Izuku: Like she did with Naruto-kun when he took a hit for Ever-san. Porlyusica-sensei couldn't even use any known method to heal his injury, but Eve-san snuck in and fixed him like new!
Levy: He still has a scar though.
Izuku: He says its a reminder to be stronger so he can protect us.
Levy: Speaking of reminder, do you happen to know who trapped you four in that cursed sleep
Izuku: (glaring darkly) Yes we do. And that bastard is going to pay for what he did. But we're not strong enough. Not yet anyway.
Levy: (holding Izuku's hand) You won't be alone in that, Icchan.
Izuku: (glare fades into a smile) I know, Lechan. I know
