Being the Hero in Many Ways
"Oh man, I can't believe we agreed to do this…" Makoto exclaimed.
"I'm really sorry, but it was the only way for her to not tell anyone about us being close to the Avengers and that we're superheroes in training." Gasper whispered.
"And besides, don't you want to show everyone that the Avengers are still heroes?" Gasper asked.
"Sure, but I was hoping that we have our own moment to shine." Makoto said.
"Hey! They're waiting for the show to start, get your ass moving!" Marine called out to the boys in the backstage.
"Damn it, guess this is it." Makoto said before putting on a blue mask that resembles Captain America.
"At least it'll be a hero thing, I think." Gasper said as he puts on a helmet that also resembles Thor's own helmet.
The scene reveals that they have just entered the stage with a big sign in the back that says "Hero Show" where Makoto and Gasper are playing as Captain America and Thor to "battle" against the sinister Red Skull who is actually Chloe using her power pretending to be the Red Skull for the kids in the school.
Chloe/Red Skull goes with a little roar making the kids whimper as if she was the real villain.
"That's far enough! Your days of terrorizing the innocent are over!" Makoto acted in the line he was told.
"By the name of the All-Father, you shall be vanquished!" Gasper jumped over Chloe/Red Skull.
"Time to meet the Fist of Justice!" Makoto gathered wind around his hand as he forms a fist.
"Unyielding Justice!" Gasper and Makoto shouted at the same time striking Chloe/Red Skull from both sides sending her flying and crashing down on the stage groaning in pain.
"Fear not, children! Evil has been defeated once again!" Gasper said to the younger audience.
"You'll always be safe with us around, the Avengers!" Makoto smiled with a thumbs up.
The kids cheered for the day being saved again by the heroes even though they already knew it's a play, it's still fun to see the heroes winning against scary bad guys like the Red Skull.
Meanwhile, Adi is carrying some boxes to be moved somewhere in the children's elementary school though he does feel a little annoyed about the position he and the others were forced to be in as he looks up at the sky.
"(This is not exactly what I had in mind for our new freedom.)" Adi thought complained a little.
"You two did great up there." A blonde woman complimented to Gasper and Makoto for doing an amazing show up there. She has long blonde hair past her shoulders and pretty blue eyes. Breasts size: G-cup.
"It's because I have the experience." Makoto grinned.
"I never really done anything like this before, but it felt really nice to do this short of thing had the usually guy you hired not sprained his ankle or the woman who couldn't make it." Gasper smiled, felt nice making those kids smile with the play.
"Yeah, you guys did okay though I don't really remember Captain America having wind power at all." Marine pointed out.
"I was just making it look even cooler by showing you the real deal of our awesomeness!" Makoto bragged.
But the one who did not like doing the play much is Chloe for she got hurt for real and decided to hurt them back by smacking their heads in.
"Do you two have any idea on how much that hurt me? Using your wind and super strength on a girl like me!" Chloe glared at the boys.
"I'm really sorry, Chloe! Makoto suggested doing a combo move with our powers even though I tried to tell him it was a bad idea!" Gasper apologized while on his knees.
"Come on, we had to make it more believable, or it wouldn't have impressed these little kids." Makoto proclaimed.
"You want believable?" Chloe asked with one hand ready to smack Makoto again.
"Wait, he's really sorry and promises to make this up to you when we get back to Avenger Tower! Right, Makoto?" Gasper asked.
"Yeah, what he said!" Makoto nodded rapidly.
"What you did was really entertaining, I have to say, especially considering that you were brought here by Marine who normally doesn't get close to others that much." The woman said, looking at Marine.
"You're making it sound like I don't like people. I don't do socializing much, Carol." Marine proclaimed.
"And besides, I saw those three leaving Avengers Tower meaning they have connections with the Avengers themselves and thought they could help out with the show, but I didn't think you guys would be able to pull it off." Marine was surprised.
"Doing a play was a bit scary for, but I'm glad to have done it if making the kids is happy to being a hero." Gasper smiled.
"Well, you did great, and I thought it was something anybody could do. But I'll admit that I was nervous." Makoto admitted.
"You really did great too with your power, Chloe. You could be THE greatest actress in the world like that." Gasper complimented to Chloe.
"I don't know about being an actress as a career, but it is nice of you to say, so I'll forgive you a little." Chloe smiled.
Gasper looks down seeing that two of the kids from the audience are still here though hiding behind Carol as they are a little shy.
"These two here are our class's biggest superhero fans." Carol introduced the two.
"You don't say?" Makoto smiled.
"Alright kids, let's take a few pictures and back inside with you." Gasper suggested as he took out his phone.
They took some selfies with smiles on their faces and Gasper even use his power to make cute little bats to snuggle on the little girl for another picture, then the boy wants something like that making Makoto lift him up with his wind power.
"Thanks, misters." The girl thanked them.
"Thank you! This was awesome!" The boy said with a bow.
"You're both very welcome." Makoto said.
"Be sure to do well on your classes and you might do some great things like us heroes do!" Gasper advised before the kids headed off.
"This was really nice. Thanks again for dragging us into this." Gasper thanked Marine.
"You're welcome, whatever." Marine shrugged.
"(Sheesh, what's with her attitude?)" Chloe thought wondered.
"And it looks like they don't have to worry about you." Carol said.
"Huh? What's that supposed to mean?" Makoto was confused on what Carol means by that phrase.
But before anyone could say anything else, a big explosion can be heard from afar causing everyone on the rooftop to look over at a big puff of smoke rising from where Avengers Tower is.
"What's happening?" Makoto asked.
"I don't know what it is exactly, but I feel like something bad is happening over there and it's really dangerous." Gasper clenched onto his chest, getting this bad feeling from his soul.
"You three, you and Marine get inside now." Carol ordered.
"Oh, so you're going out now, are you?" Marine asked.
"Huh, what do you mean she's going out? You don't mean where the smoke is, right?" Gasper asked in shock.
Marine just smirks at Gasper knowing that he and the others are about to find out just how special and cool Carol really is.
(Moments Ago, Avengers Town)
Tony and Hulk are together talking with Captain America's group sharing the intel about the Winter Soldier they could get from some Hydra soldiers they found.
"Our information on him is limited, mostly rumors and ghost stories. He's the kind of maniac you hire for impossible jobs because he always gets it done. One thing's for certain; there's no escaping the Winter Soldier." A Hydra soldier said before the screen changed from the photo of the Winter Soldier to Captain America on video call.
"That's all we have on him at the moment." Captain America said.
"Good work. Why don't we start with Russia? They might know something about this Winter Soldier." Tony suggested, thinking he may have come from there since Hydra started out from Russia.
"Well, I have some favors I can call in to help us pick up the trail." Captain America hoped those favors are still there in this time.
"Signing off. I'll report back as soon as" But the captain was cut off when Wasp butts in.
"How are the kids holding up? Tell our baby Avengers I said hi." Wasp smiled giggling before the call ended.
"Oh, yeah, sure. I'll be sure to tell them you said hi, just as soon as I find the bundles of joy." Tony said sarcastically as he has no idea on where the kids have snuck out to.
"Maybe it's a good thing that they left. Now we don't have to worry about them anymore." Hulk said, thinking it's for the best.
"Yeah, that's not exactly how it works." Tony pointed out.
"Yeah, whatever. Those kids have been nothing but trouble since they arrived, and we still don't know anything about their powers. Not only that, but why haven't we sent Gasper back to Transylvania, at least he has to home to go back to." Hulk stated.
But before Tony could respond to the question about Gasper and his homeland in Transylvania, they felt a sudden shaking of the tower which is alarming to the heroes.
"Friday, status?" Tony asked.
"It appears we are under attack. I have dispatched a unit of Iron Legions." Friday informed.
(Outside of Avengers Tower)
The one who is attacking Avengers Tower is Ares with a rocket launcher as he just uses the missiles to attack the front door and four Iron-Man security robots are out to face him.
"Stay where you are. Put down your weapon." The Iron Legions ordered.
Oh, Ares put down the weapon alright, but it's only the rocket launcher as he smirks and brings out his battle axe hoping for this to be a decent warmup.
The Iron Legions detects that Ares isn't going to back down, so they fired the Repulsor Blasts to put him into submission only for the Greek God of War easily deflect those blasts with his axe and destroy those robots with just one swing.
It didn't take long for Hulk to jump down from the floor he was one of the towers to land hard in front of Ares.
"The Hulk. You are massive as they say. This is gonna be fun." Ares commented, feeling a little excited to fight a strong foe such as Hulk, and apparently Iron-Man who just showed up as well.
"Hey, I just finished paying for those bots you so enthusiastically wrecked." Iron-Man complained, those robots were not cheap if this God guy would know.
"Tell me what you think of my repayment plan." Iron-Man fired a missile from his arm at Ares, thus beginning the battle.
(At the School)
The earthquake shaking is even reaching all the way to the school with the kids scared and the four older hero kids are being close to them for comfort while Carol is looking over her phone to see what is going on outside.
"Too many conflicting reports. What's going on out there?" Carol wondered as she looks out the window at Avengers Tower.
"Why the fuck are you even asking that when you should be going out there right now!" Marine yelled.
"Hey, don't use that tone on me, and don't say those curse words in front of the kids!" Carol scolded her.
"Is now really the best time for that?" Marine asked.
"Are we gonna be all right?" One kid asked.
"Don't worry, you kids will be alive with us around." Gasper promised.
"Adi, Chloe, Gasper. Let's go!" Makoto said, believing now is their chance to do some big hero stuff.
"Huh? Are you crazy?" Gasper gasped.
"We are not going out there." Chloe believed this would be too much for them.
"Chloe's right." Adi said.
"Come on. Don't tell me you three are scared now." Makoto called them chickens a little.
"I'm not. We just don't know what's going on out there, Makoto." Adi said.
"Yeah, so? I handled the Winter Soldier just fine." Makoto reminded him of the time he fought the Winter Soldier.
"Maybe from back then, but you weren't able to handle me when you found me in that secret base, or have you forgotten about that already?" Gasper pointed out that causing Makoto to groan from that time.
"Hey, you were out of control back then, but you were able to free yourself." Makoto mentioned.
"Only because Thor shocked me with his thunder." Gasper countered with that logic.
"Besides, I don't want to leave the kids here. Right now, they're scared of all this shaking and don't know how to feel safe unless they're the ones being there for them. I think the best thing we can do is be there for the kids until everything stops." Gasper stated strongly.
"Wow, you almost sounded cool just now." Marine commented.
"(Yeah, he sure did.)" Carol thought smiled.
"Though to be honest, I would much rather be outside that seems safer." Gasper said, and his wings came out suddenly trapping everyone including himself into a dome then it instantly disappeared from inside the classroom.
(Outside the School)
The blood red aura dome suddenly appeared close to the stage then letting everyone out.
"Huh, we're outside?" Chloe was shocked.
"Dude, what did you just do?" Marine asked in shock.
"I… I don't know! I never done that before!" Gasper was confused about this himself.
"Okay, that was unexpected. But I'm still trusting you kids to protect the little ones." Carol said as she stood up.
"I'm not so sure you should be getting involved." Chloe said.
But she was proven wrong when Carol suddenly changes her clothes into a red and blue skintight outfit with gold line designs including a star symbol on her chest.
"Wha-?" Gasper and Makoto were shocked from what they just saw.
"Let me introduce myself. I'm Captain Marvel." Captain Marvel revealed herself as a superhero.
"Good luck." Captain Marvel flew up to go where the battle at Avengers Tower.
"Unbelievable. She was a superhero all along?" Makoto was surprised.
"She's the best. Check it out, we took this picture at last week's show." The boy showed them a picture of him, his sister, and Captain Marvel herself.
"That is so cool!" Gasper awestruck.
"Okay everyone, the best thing we can do is just stay in one open area for us to be in which is outside. So, we'll stay right here until this whole thing blows over." Marine advised.
"As long as nothing bad happens here, then I'm sure we're going to be okay." Gasper said.
"Are you sure about that?"
The voice doesn't sound familiar to Gasper and the others, and they can feel in their instincts that this one is not friendly as they turn around and looking up to see one man with a pair of black feathered wings as he looks down at them.
"Who is that guy? Is he another hero who does shows for you kids?" Gasper asked.
"No, we never seen anyone like him before." The teacher shook her head.
"Then that would mean he's not friendly." Adi glared at the winged man.
"Who are you? And what are you here for?" Gasper asked.
"What I'm here is to see why the bat brat is out of his Hydra cage when he shouldn't be." The winged man pointed at Gasper with a grin.
This caught Gasper completely by surprise, the way this man said about him being in a cage and even mentioning Hydra instantly tells him that this man is involved with Hydra and the Red Skull if he knows about Gasper and the things he went through.
"I didn't think the Avengers would be going after the Crimson Fang after freeing those other brats who are just pointless now. But you, on the other hand, still have a lot to offer." The winged man said.
"Then you're going to be really disappointed when I bite you into a coma!" Gasper glared with his eyes glowing and his wings coming out again as he gets ready for a battle for himself and protecting the kids at the same time.

Gaspe and the others have been dragged into a doing a superhero show for little kids at a school which was really fun to them, but trouble has erupted at Avengers Tower where Ares have challenged the Avengers while it looks like Gasper has his own battle with a mysterious winged man.
