"I'm coming back next year, " She said, almost like she meant to say something else instead.

Relief flooded Min Ho's mind. The last time he was faced with the possibility of never seeing her again, his feelings had poured out of him, desperate to be heard and acknowledged. He had promised himself not to go down the same path this time. Even if that meant never being able to tell her how he really felt. Even if that meant he had to let it sit, content with longing glances and wearingly vivid dreams.

But, she was coming back. Next year.

He moved to hug her, and as her scent filled his senses and his chin tucked into her head, fitting together as naturally as jigsaw pieces- his heart thumped and his mind screamed. He could be with her.

But how could he make the first move- only to get rejected again?

They pulled apart- and she looked at him again. Just like on the basketball court. Just like at the dance.

And he couldn't possibly look away.

Words, breath, thoughts- left him.

Just give me something here, Covey.

"Min Ho, " She breathed, her American accent peeking through, her hair swaying gently in the wind.

His name sounded so wonderful on her lips. He would never get tired of hearing it.

But the eyes- he noticed, as they met his. Unshifting and earnest- they seemed to scream exactly what he was thinking. Is it all in my head?

They swept lower, glancing at his lips and then back at his eyes.

His brain short-circuited. It was all he needed as he wound an arm around her waist and pulled her closer, and bent down to capture her lips.

Electric jolts shot through his body and he felt light headed as they kissed, pulling Kitty as close as was humanly possible. Her hands pulled at his hair and left him losing his breath.

Kitty pulled away just as his knees were going to give out and beamed up at him, her face still millimeters away from his.

Her smile- he could kill for that smile.

And he would burst if she kept smiling at him this way. God, he used to be a playboy?

"I love you, Min Ho, " Kitty beamed, blushing heavily- and all playboy-ish thoughts were flung a million miles away.

Although, he was pretty proud for causing that blush on her face.

"I love you, Covey, " He replied, grinning ear to ear himself.

As the words settled between them, Min Ho couldn't help but laugh, giddy and lightheaded.

"Just so you know," he said, barely able to keep a straight face, "If you weren't coming back next year, I'd probably be lying face down in the middle of my brother's stage right now."

Kitty raised an eyebrow, smirking. "You'd ruin the concert?"

"Absolutely," he said, grinning. "Fans love a dramatic breakdown."

She laughed, tugging him closer. "Good thing I like keeping you from embarrassing yourself."

"Then you're stuck with me," he said, his grin widening. "Guess I'll dedicate the encore to you."
