Chapter 18
Death and disaster
Back on Tatooine at night, under the light of three moons, Anakin was climbing down to the Tusken raiders camp to free his mother from their imprisonment. Unbeknownst to Anakin, Bumblebee was not far behind him. Bumblebee transformed from his alt form and began to descend into the tuskens camp. Being careful as to not to be discovered, Anakin crept behind the Tuskens huts hoping to find the right one that has his mother. Bumblebee kept just enough distance to where, if Anakin was in any kind of trouble, he would just jump in and protect him. Finally Anakin found the right hut and cut a hole in the wall. Noticing Shmi hanging on a rack beaten and scared, Anakin cuts her down, and gently places her on the ground in his arms. Her eyes were slightly closed, but she opened them enough to recognize her own son.
"Mom...Mom?" Said Anakin
"Ani? Is it you"asked Shmi weakly?
"I'm here mom. You're safe" said Anakin.
"You look so handsome" said Shmi happily.
Anakin kissed the palm of her hand also overjoyed to see his mother.
"My Son. My grownup son. I'm so proud of you Ani" said Shmi as she weakly caresses Anakins face.
"I missed you" said Anakin softly.
"Now I am complete" said Shmi.
"I love y...
At that moment Anakin knew his mother was fading.
"Stay with me mom. Everything..." Anakin starting saying.
Before Shmi could finish her words she gave up the ghost and died in Anakins arms. With tears in his eyes, Anakin could only watch his mother pass away right before him. Heartbroken and filled with disbelief all Anakin could do is close his mothers eyes. Anakins sorrow soon changed into rage for the sand people. Dawn arrived on Tatooine and the camp was continuing with their day until the women and children tuskens heard a lightsaber igniting and Anakin coming out of the hut and decapitating two guards. Soon the entire camp was in a frenzy and wanted to kill Anakin. Bumblebee jumped in to save him from a few of their warriors with his blasters, but soon his spark turned cold when he saw the rest of the carnage Anakin was inflicting.
Back on Coruscant Master Yoda was meditating, and could here the voices of Master Qui-Gon Jiin. Even though they were planets away Master Yoda could feel the hurt and the sorrow Anakin felt. Master Windu entered the room and sat down with Master Yoda.
"What is it"asked Master Windu noticing Master Yoda could feel something.
"Pain Suffering...Death, I feel" said Yoda
Master Windu looked down at the floor and could feel it also.
"Something terrible has happened. Young Skywalker is in pain...terrible pain" said Yoda
