Author's note: This continuity will follow Zactoshi's What If series, up to his most recent video where Ash's Nymble evolves into Lokix, so if you're wondering why he doesn't have his Journeys Pokemon, that's why. That being said, you should all check out Zactoshi's Youtube Channel, he's great. That also being said, this fanfiction was inspired by Ash's Just Reward by The Warmongers of Simora.
Deep within the Hall of Origins, Arceus was feeling a headache coming on.
They had gathered every single Legendary and Mythical for a meeting to discuss an important matter. Ever since the beginning of his journey, he held a great interest in a trainer from Pallet Town, notable by his trusty partner Pikachu, eternal determination, and ability to seemingly overcome any odd that opposes him.
From the very first day of his journey, they had ordered Ho-Oh to appear to him to revitalize his spirit should he ever falter, and their faith in him is well placed, as he had saved the world many times over from evil forces that desired to use the Legendary Pokemon for their own selfish motives.
But back on topic, they looked out to the Pokemon that are all gathered together, but it seems now they are more interested in arguing than discussing.
Kyogre and Groudon were naturally squabbling with each other, with Rayquaza trying to keep them in check, Suicune was talking with her brothers about the man that has been constantly following her, much to their amusement, with Keldeo wondering why the more argumentative Legendaries can't just cease their quarrels.
Eventually, Arceus decided that they had enough of this nonsense and stomped their leg to regain control.
"ENOUGH!"
That quickly got everyone to cease their conversations as Arceus continued.
"Now then, we all know why we are here, the Chosen One that has saved this world time and time again has accomplished many things throughout his career, but we never once rewarded him for his selflessness, my question to you all is: What can we do to repay him?"
The Legendaries soon spoke up, but in a more civilized manner this time.
"Um, father..." Latias spoke up "If it were ok, I would like to accompany Ash on his travels" That did go well for some of the others.
"Preposterous!" Regigigas bellowed angrily "We shouldn't stoop to being contained within those pitiful capsules.
"Then why do you allow your children to go with that man... was his name... Bryan?" Darkrai said nonchalantly.
"Brendan" Regigigas corrected "And he had more than earned the right to train my children, but this 'Chosen One' is too young to have the honor to train any of us" "Tell that to Zacian lumbering one" Calyrex remarked, with his trusty steeds nodding with him.
Arceus stomped their foot once again to calm the situation. "Latias, I feel that allowing some of us to be caught by him would be a wonderful idea, if anyone has any objections..." They stared around to see if anyone would object any further, but nobody had the courage to step up.
"Very well then, now who else has an idea for rewarding the Chosen One?" They asked "If I may" One of the Mew spoke up "We noticed that he doesn't have a Keystone, maybe we could get him one" That seemed to get the other Mew snickering about the other kinds of ideas that go through their heads."
"I believe we should also help his Pokemon reach their full potential" Cobalion said and then turned to glare at Zekrom "Besides, it would allow some of us to redeem ourselves" Zekrom nervously defended with "In my defense, I didn't know he was the Chosen One" Which got him the reply of "Yeah, keep saying that" Courtesy of Reshiram.
"Oh! Oh!" Hoopa opened excitedly "I could bring back some old friends for him" "And we could help him with getting some new ones" Pecharunt quietly said, remembering a certain ogre that would like a new friend. They'd have to tell their subordinates to make things move along.
"If it means that we give him more Legendary, then count me out" Terrakion roared, not wanting to have any of these god-like creatures be at the beck and call of this one trainer who had just happened to be the Teacher's pet.
This soon caused another commotion, which Arceus had to quell yet again.
"SCILENCE!"
Arceus could swear that they could have their head explode if the stress could allow for it, ever since they created the world and made every Pokemon species (some of them have still yet to be discovered) and yet they haven't grown a tolerance for petty squabbling. Despite all of their power and authority, they have little patience for how they're children behave, and they often wish they could make copies of themselves in a way that doesn't involve Double Team.
"Considering how the Chosen One already has three legendaries, I see the action of joining forces with him to be the proper action, especially considering how much of a high profile target he has become recently" Arceus called out. If there was one thing that the Legendaries can all agree on, is that the Chosen One has made plenty of enemies throughout his career, now he has to deal with Team Rocket and the Explorers, who are after his Pikachu and Koraidon respectively. With the danger that is festering in Paldea's Area Zero, he will need all the help he can get, and these rewards are a surefire way he gets them.
"Very well, I see that we all have made our rewards for the Chosen One, be sure to prepare for them, for I feel a Rogue Legendary will battle with the Chosen One, now, Dismissed"
The Legendaries disappeared, except for Mewtwo.
"What about you father, do you have a reward for him?"
Arceus looked behind their shoulder, and locks eyes on an ivory flute with golden engravings.
"In due time Mewtwo, in due time"
We then cut to Paldea in the Mesagoza Academy, where a 12 year old boy with a Pikachu was looking out to the Horizons with his recovering Koraidon, the setting sun showing that they still have so much to experience, even if the boy is champion of the Alola region, he still has many more regions to take on.
"You see that Pikachu?" The boy questioned, with his Pikachu responded with a firm "Pika" "That is just another step in our journey"

I told you this was based off of Ash's Just Reward, however, there will be some differences, this is in Paldea rather than Alola after all, anyways, be sure to look out fo the next chapter.
