The Fourth Hokage's Son BONUS CHAPTER

Omake:

Tsunade should have felt better after accomplishing the impossible. The surgeons were looking at her in awe and jealousy. Madam Shijimi's eyes sparkled with gratitude as she heaped praise upon her, and while those gestures made her uncomfortable, they were normally the reason why she went to work. But after six hours of brain surgery on the family cat, all Tsunade felt was exhaustion. If the other shinobi countries heard about this, she would become the laughing stock of the century. Tsunade Senju, the best medical ninja in the whole Elemental Nation, was stuck doing surgery on a cat!

'That cat is very lucky its owner is the daimyō's wife. Maybe we can have some genins keep an eye on it when it escapes so I don't have to deal with this again.'

As she was walking, Shizune caught up with her.

"So, you're the hero of the Land of Fire now, huh. That's a hefty donation to the hospital you just secured." The mirth dancing in her eyes betrayed her seriousness.

Tsunade sighed. "You'd think they'd give us money because of the humans we save. I just hope the rest of the day is easy."

Shizune gave her a strange glance, like she knew something Tsunade didn't. "You mean you haven't seen the line yet?"

With her elegant brows already creasing, she turned her head to her apprentice. "The line?"

"Yep, THE Line." Shizune pointed ahead, and strongest Kunoichi or not, Tsunade swore she nearly lost her footing at what beheld her in front of her office.

The line stretched from the door to her office all the way down the corridor. Many of the ailments were visible to the naked eye, which tended to be a bad sign. And at the very front of the line, Tsunade noticed the patients were standing about three feet behind the first one, and it was disappointingly obvious why.

"Can you tell me how this…" she gestured weakly to the three foot long pole sticking out of a random chunin's ass, "happened?"

"Tsunade-sama, I swear I was training!" the chunin cried out, tears streaming down his face as he turned around abruptly to face her again, knocking a couple of medical tools from a nearby tray with his pole.

Tsunade massaged her forehead and glanced at the line of shinobi outside her office, requesting for some lubrication and some painkillers.

The next shinobi waiting in the line had quills sticking out in a large circle on his abdomen, tears also streaming down his face.

"Do you have an affinity for porcupines? It looks like you were snuggling one considering where your injuries are," asked Tsunade.

"No, I hate them," the shinobi said bitterly. "I was fighting a petty thief, and he summoned one of the damned beasts. And this one was… different."

Tsunade raised an eyebrow. "Was it larger than normal?"

The shinobi's face turned grim. "No."

"Could it use ninjutsu somehow?" she guessed again, arms already crossed as she tapped her foot impatiently on the floor.

"No, even worse."

The side of her eye twitched, she was slowly losing her patience now. "Ok, I don't have time to play these games, I'm a busy person."

"Ok fine, but be prepared to have nightmares, " he said with a look of pure horror on his face. "The porcupine… could jump."

The other patients on the line gave him their sympathy while Tsunade massaged her forehead again. She seemed to never run out of ludicrous patients today, and she really had enough.

Tsunade looked heavenwards and muttered under her breath, "could this day get any worse?"

She went down the line of patients. Some were routine, many continued the craziness. She felt her energy leave her completely when one patient said it hurt everywhere he touched, and she diagnosed him with a broken finger. But finally, thankfully, her office was gloriously empty.

She nearly collapsed into her office chair, and took stock of the day she had. It had certainly been one of the odder ones, and one of the more stressful ones, but at the very least it was over.

"No one's stopping me from going home now," she said grimly as she tidied up her table, "Damn, I need a drink. A drink while soaking in a bath." She nodded her head, already thinking of buying a bottle of sake on her way home, but when she turned around to go out of her cursed office, she had to instinctively take a step back when she almost smack heads with the fucking Hokage of all people. Minato Namikaze gave her a toothy grin together with his Uchiha student standing just behind him.

A tick mark immediately appeared on her forehead. "Minato, I swear I don't have the energy to–"

"I apologize, Tsunade-sama, but I have to do this," was the answer she received before she was whisked away. She didn't even have a chance to scream as she suddenly found herself standing on a hard, pale, gray, ground. Beyond her were featureless rectangular prisms, each of different height and width with no aberrations or markings.

Tsunade turned so fast to give the Hokage a piece of her mind, "You fucking ass—" only to stop in her tracks upon seeing THE Kushina Uzumaki laying on a futon surrounded by medical equipment, looking very pale, but still smiling reluctantly at her.

"I'll be damned…"
