It had been five years since Bucky appeared in the 40's and he had enjoyed it.

The war had ended, Steve had gotten married to Peggy last year and were expecting their first in two months, SHIELD had been created and Zola had been prevented meaning HYDRA had been prevented.

Bucky would still keep an eye out for any signs for that though just to be safe though.

Everyone but Bucky had either gotten married or was in a relationship with someone now.

They all worked at SHIELD but Bucky and Howard the most with both being single and Peggy and Steve expecting soon.

They had tried to get Bucky a girl and lower his hours but he said after working for HYDRA it's a habit of not getting a break.

They were all at Bucky's when a portal opened.

"What the hell?" Jones said and Bucky started to stand up with an idea what it is when Strange appeared.

"Sergeant Barnes," Strange said.

"Oh hell no." Bucky said.

"It's been five years. Come on, the Avengers need us."

"Are you crazy? I finally got the life I wanted for once! I've prevented so much from happening in the future to! I'm not going with you."

"They lost Rogers so they need you."

"No one needs me Strange. They don't need the Winter Soldier, they don't need Sergeant Barnes, they don't need Bucky Barnes, they don't need me. But these guys do. They lost their Bucky while we lost our Steve. I need Steve and Steve needs me. Till the end of the line. And I'd probably commit suicide if I go back there and live without Steve. Last I heard you were a doctor and I'm pretty sure doctor's are supposed to try and prevent people from committing suicide never mind veterans. Am I right?" Bucky said and Strange looked at him.

"Yes. I made that oath years ago and even though I lost that job I still renew my license just in case and understand. But if it gets to much, I will be getting you."

"Fine. But I have stuff to do here." Bucky said and Strange nodded and left.

"Who was that?" Steve asked.

"A sorcerer from my time. I guess the Avengers that survived that snap found a way to get everyone back somehow." Bucky said and they nodded confused.

Later they were at the bar as usual watching a drunk Falsworth and Dum Dum dance together amused.

"Oh how the mighty has fallen." Morita said shaking his head and they laughed.

"So Steve, you getting excited?" Bucky asked.

"I am actually. I'm nervous but excited to." Steve said smiling.

"You'll be fine. You babysat my sisters plenty of times and if you ever need help, you have us." Bucky said smiling.

"What I'm really worried about is if it'll have any of my health problems or anything from the serum."

"I'm sure it'll be fine punk. And if it does get anything, Howard will be able to help you." Bucky said and Steve nodded.

"You're right. I meant to ask," Steve said and Bucky looked at him.

"What?"

"Peggy took care of godmother so I was wondering, will you accept the title of godfather since you're my best friend and have been taking care of me since we met in that alley?" Steve asked and Bucky sat there in shock while the others smiled.

"Uh, s-sure. Yeah, I'll be the godfather." Bucky said smiling.

"Great! Thanks jerk."

"Anytime punk."

"When are you settling down anyway?" Jones asked.

"I uh, haven't found anyone yet."

"What are you hiding from us Buck?" Steve asked and Bucky sighed.

"I had a girl when I was the Winter Soldier. She was a Black Widow I was training in the Red Room we destroyed four years ago. That's why I wanted to get it done when we created SHIELD, so she could get a good childhood. Her name is Natalia Romanoff and she was my last Black Widow to train. We fell in love while I trained her and when they found out, HYDRA brought me back to base, in Cyro freeze for a while and I didn't see her until 2009. The next time I saw her I didn't remember her at all and ended up hitting her in the hip leaving her with a scar. Then in 2014 I was in New York and tried to kill Steve ending up hitting her again but in the end, I saved Steve and got away. Two years later the Civil War happened and she ended up helping us in the end, on the run for two years and we were able to talk about our relationship. We decided to wait until my head was cleared to decide what to do. Then the snap came and I ended up here."

"Why didn't you go back to get her back?" Morita asked and Bucky thought.

"Because," Bucky said and looked at them. "I don't think she's coming back this time." he said shaking his head.

A month later Peggy got into labor and gave birth to a girl that Steve asked her to name Natalia for Bucky and she agreed after he told her why Bucky is still single.

Her name is Natalia Sarah Rogers and has Peggy's brunette hair, nose and cheeks and Steve's blue eyes and nose.

Bucky was standing there watching them together smiling happy this Steve got what he wanted.
