Finally got rid of my cough. That was horrible -.-
Amit Arabi: Yes, I keep mostly to canon with this story with the exception of Penny's career path and of course, the duration of their relationship.
Egamer25: Maybe, I haven't decided yet
Enjoy :)

"I'm walking on sunshine..." Penny sang to herself as she danced through the kitchen, pulling out the last piece of toast from the pan.
She placed the pan on the adjacent cooking plate to let it cool off a bit before she could pour water on it. The coffeemaker splurged its last drops of the black liquid into the can and Penny took that as well, pouring the contents into a large thermos flask so it would stay hot for as long as possible. She also placed some sugar and lactose free cream onto the island and finally headed into the bedroom, finding her husband spreadeagled on the bed, his head hanging from the foot end of it.
"Good morning, hubby." she grinned at him.
"Water." he croaked.
"Come on, don't be a baby." she laughed and knelt down to drop a kiss on his mouth. "Ew, morning breath."
"Water." he croaked again.
"Up, up, I made breakfast." she giggled and gave him a playful slap.
"I'm not kidding, I'm seriously dehydrated from last night." he whined.
"Very funny." she rolled her eyes. "Boy, you make your husband have celebratory sex five times and he claims to be close to death."
"Well, it's kinda true." he chuckled as he fought himself into a standing position. "I don't even have to pee."
"Sweetie, you might wanna remember that I did pretty much all the work." she pointed out. "And need I also remind you that you urged me on to go harder?"
"Well..." he tried to think of something. "Try having you bouncing on top of you and then tell you to go slower."
"Go wash up." she ordered.
"Yes, dear." Leonard smiled and headed into the bathroom.
Still humming, she returned to the kitchen and used the time for Leonard to get ready to clean the now cooler pan, rinsing out the cooking oil residue and toast crumbs. Following that, she carried the plate with the toast, the coffee can as well as two cups, two smaller plates and cutlery to the small window table.
"Okay, almost bone shattering sex all night, followed by you making me breakfast, I must have done something very right." he chuckled. "Or you must have done something very wrong."
"Nothing of the sort." she grinned.
"Am I dying?" he gasped.
"Shut up!" she laughed. "Can't a wife make love to her husband and then make him breakfast?"
"What is really going on?" he didn't buy it completely.
"Nothing, I mean it." she said. "I got the script for the pilot episode delivered yesterday, so I wanted to thank you. And truth be told, the best way I can think of to say thank you is to have plenty of sex with you."
"Why thank me?" he was confused.
"Because you got me the part in the first place." she told him. "Without you and your friend, I wouldn't even have known about the role being available in the first place."
"In that case, I like to see you in thongs, but naked is better." he winked, making her speechless for a moment.
"Pig." she laughed. "By the way, who was that guy that came out of your apartment when I got home?"
"Well, I don't know his name, we never learned it." Leonard shrugged. "Remember when I told you about the idea of the superfluid vacuum theory?"
"Vaguely." she shrugged.
"Sheldon and I co-authored a paper and I designed a superfluid vortex experiment but we needed liquid helium for that." he continued. "Our shipment was put on backorder for a month and a Swedish team had announced that they would do it."
"Okay." she hesitated.
"Anyway, the guy you saw was someone who had liquid helium to sell." he sighed. "Under the table. We bought it, then gave it back, bought it again and ultimately we realized that we couldn't really do the experiment because we would have had to admit that he illegally obtained liquid helium for it, so we again returned it."
"So, what exactly led to the guy being in your apartment?" she wondered.
"He got a bit mad about us not making up our minds, so Sheldon invited him to watch a movie." Leonard shrugged. "To my surprise, he agreed."
"What did you watch?"
"We watched Earnest goes to jail."
"Okay." she was surprised at the choice. "So, did the Swedes do the experiment?"
"They only announced it a few days ago, so they might have already, but so far, I haven't heard anything about results." he told her.
"Hey, do you want read the script with me?" she asked.
"If you need my help doing your lines, I'll do it, but I'd rather not." she shook his head.
"Why not?"
"Because I hate spoilers and reading the script is kind of the biggest spoiler of all." he argued.
"That's true." she conceded. "I think I'll stick to reading it and tomorrow is the preliminary table read."
"That's quick."
"Yeah, because we start filming in less than three weeks." she said. "If they have to change something in the pilot, they probably have to change things in all the other episodes."
"Makes sense." he nodded. "But don't they have to cast more cast members?"
"Well, the crew from the movies are all on board." she grinned. "Marcia, Hector and Quinn. Though I hope Hector and Quinn aren't mad at me."
"Why?" he asked.
"I did invite Marcia to our wedding, but not them, so they might see it as a slight." she shrugged.
"Will Charles Dance come back?"
"I hope so!" she smiled. "He was so great! Though I don't think he'd come in on a permanent basis, or even recurring, but it would depend on his schedule and if he even wants to."
"You never know." Leonard mused. "Depends on how much he needs the job."
"You think he needs the job desperately?" Penny wondered. "Wasn't he in Game of Thrones?"
"He did more than that." Leonard said. "Pretty sure his net worth is in the millions."
"You know, maybe with the money I'll make from this show, we could buy a house." she suggested.
"That sounds nice." he smiled. "Though I'd suggest waiting at least three season before that."
"Why?"
"Do you know yet how many episodes you will make for this season?" he asked.
"No." she admitted.
"So, lets assume it's ten, at twenty-five thousand each, that's a quarter million." he calculated. "After local, state and federal taxes, you will have half or so left. Which I doubt would be enough to pay even for a down payment."
"I see." she realized. "If the show doesn't get picked up for a second season, we'd be saddled with a large loan and only you would make money."
"Precisely." he nodded.
"Then yeah, it's better to wait." she agreed. "So, how long should we wait before making a decision?"
"I'd say, do at least three seasons and have the confirmation of a fourth and save the money you have after taxes." he said. "That gives you, or us, not only the financial basis to buy a house but also the financial security for the near future to pay it off."
"I wonder if I should do the actor thing and buy a mansion." Penny grinned.
"Why?" he wondered.
"What do you mean?"
"Why would you want a huge house?" he clarified his question. "I never understood why anyone would buy huge villas. Why have ten bedrooms and five bathrooms when you live alone or with one other person? A house like that would be a bitch to clean or heat, if applicable."
"What if the person wanted kids?"
"Then they would have to have nine kids to fill those bedrooms." he chuckled. "Eight if they turn one into an office or seven if each parent has an office. Maybe less if they decided to turn one or two into guest rooms, if they have guests over often."
"A smaller house it is then." she grinned. "Though I'd say we shouldn't even start looking before we're ready. Otherwise, we might get hung up on a certain house which we wouldn't be able to buy."
"Agreed." he nodded. "What are you going to do today while we're at work?"
"Reading the script." she shrugged. "Also, finishing up my last history essay, fixing up the stuff you flagged during your proof-read. I will deliver the essays personally, since I have to tell Professor Tubman that I won't be able to do his course next semester again."
"I think he'll understand."
"Yeah." Penny agreed. "Want to do anything for dinner tonight?"
"It's Thai food night." Leonard reminded her. "Raj is gonna get it when he comes here."
"Easier than to argue all evening, I guess." she said. "Well, you need to get going and make the big bucks."
"Yeah, time to go to work to find a few hours of peace and quiet." he nodded again and got up.
"Hey!" she laughed, a few seconds after realizing what he had said. "Just for that, no sex tonight."
"We'll see." he winked and walked behind her so he could bend down and press a kiss on her cheek while grabbing her right breast and give it a gentle squeeze through the shirt.
"Fine, but no more than a quickie." she moped, turning her head and grabbing his head to give him a deep kiss. "Now scram and enjoy your peace and quiet."
"Yes, dear." he smiled and left her alone.
She took the empty plates and cups to the sink and began washing it. Deciding against just leaving it on the side to dry, she took a towel and dried everything before putting it away. After wiping the counter, the table and cleaning the sink, she grabbed the script and began reading, forming an image of the scenes in her head.
"Hey guys." Penny said when she entered the apartment.
"Hello." Sheldon waved at her.
"Hey honey." Leonard smiled and waited for her to walk up to him for a kiss. "Did things go well in at the college?"
"Yep, Professor Tubman was very understanding." Penny nodded. "I have to do another set of projects, of course, to get the credits for next semester."
"Hopefully you won't overexert yourself." he said.
"Why would you simply not go to the lectures?" Sheldon wondered. "You have a car, are you too good to sit there with the other students for your only class?"
"Sheldon, it's a little more complicated than that." Leonard rolled his eyes.
"I will make the announcement when everyone is here." Penny told him. "Except Amy, of course. I'll tell her in person later."
"Oh, they're here." Sheldon said after receiving a message on the phone. "Raj asks for one of us to come down to help him carry the food."
"How much did they buy?" Penny wondered and left the apartment to walk down the stairs, where she found Raj standing in front of the stairs, carrying four bags. "Where are Howard and Bernadette?"
"Bernadette called me and told me that they can't come today since they have to make plans about their house." Raj told her as she took two of the bags from him.
They carried the bags upstairs, Penny turning her head twice and always seeing Raj snap his gaze around to her and smiling at her. After the second time, Penny was almost sure that Raj was staring at her ass as she walked up the stairs but instead of yelling at him, she decided to ignore it and let him see what only Leonard was allowed to touch and see without clothing covering it.
"Food's here." Penny announced as they entered the apartment. "Where's Sheldon?"
"He got a call, so he's in his room." Leonard replied. "Where are Bernadette and Howard?"
"They're making plans to redecorate their house." Raj told him.
"I think it's Bernadette making those plans, Howard doesn't come over as the guy who would want to change his mother's house." Penny chuckled.
"Doesn't matter, in the end it's going to happen." Leonard said. "Howard will not risk her leaving him. He knows that he would never find another woman as beautiful as Bernadette willing to be with him."
"Would be funny to see him try though." Raj grinned.
"Also, you would make a move on Bernadette." Leonard deadpanned.
"I would not!" Raj protested.
"Oh please, remember when you wrote creepy poems about her just because she was nice to you?" Penny scoffed and went to the kitchen to get herself a bottle of water.
"How do you know about that?" Raj gasped.
"Come on, me and Leonard were together all that time, of course he told me after your sister told him about it." Penny rolled her eyes, omitting the time they were apart after her slip in judgment with Kim and Cheryl.
"Ugh." Raj flopped down on the couch.
"Change of topic, did you hear about this study that found people that were cool and popular at thirteen have problems succeeding later in life?" Leonard asked.
"Hmm. I'm doing okay, and I was very popular at thirteen." Raj mused.
"In school?" Penny couldn't quite believe it.
"Oh, no. At home. The servants would sing to me, laugh at my jokes." Raj smiled in memory. "I wish I knew their names."
"So, your servants laughed at jokes told by the son of their employers." Leonard deadpanned. "Yeah, you were really funny."
"Does the study say what happens to the unpopular kids?" Penny asked Leonard.
"You tell me, you woke up in bed with one." he quipped.
"So, the unpopular kids get to marry the prom queen." she mused and dropped a kiss on his cheek.
"Listen to this." Sheldon announced when he returned from his bedroom. "I just received an e-mail from Wil Wheaton. Leonard Nimoy's son is working on a documentary that he started with his father before he passed away. It's about Mr. Spock and his impact on our culture."
"Why is he writing to you?" Leonard wondered.
"Well, they're looking for fans to interview, and Wil thought I'd be good for it." Sheldon gave his version of a shrug.
"Oh, hey, high five." Raj offered his hand.
"Absolutely not." Sheldon refused it. "Penny, you spent some time in front of the camera. Any words of advice?"
"Yes." Penny nodded. "Don't take your shirt off just because the director said so."
"Did that happen to you?" Leonard asked her.
"Yeah, on the first ape movie." she nodded. "Since I had to do a topless shower scene anyway, I thought we were doing it right there and then but I guess the director just wanted to see the girls."
"This is a documentary about Mr. Spock." Sheldon pointed out. "I'm sure if there's nudity, it will be tasteful."
"When is this documentary, or Spockumentary, supposed to happen?" Leonard wanted to know, Penny shooting him a look.
"Tomorrow evening." Sheldon smiled. "I like that word."
"You want to apartment for yourself?" Leonard asked.
"No, you can be here." Sheldon said. "But stay quiet."
"Sure." Penny rolled her eyes. "I should be back by then."
"Why" Sheldon looked at her. "Where would you be at the time?"
"Well, even though Amy, Howard and Bernadette aren't here, I'll give you the news." Penny grinned. "My movies are being made into a TV show and I'll begin filming in a bit over two weeks."
"Congratulations!" Raj whooped. "High five!"
"Yeah!" Penny grinned, slapping Raj's outstretched hand, though she had to get up and lean over the table to do it.
When she continued eating, she realized that she had most likely given Raj a good look at her cleavage due to her body position during the high five. She squinted her eyes at him but he was looking at his food or at Sheldon when talking to him so she put it out of her mind, except for some thoughts about Raj having trouble with Emily, why else would he try to get a look at her body like this. Or maybe she was just imagining things.
When the guys began playing a board game, Penny went over to her apartment to look over the script again. She didn't even know why she did it since they would do a read the next day, so there was no need to memorize anything but she was too excited to not do it. She turned on the TV but while the movie ran, she decided to groom herself a bit, taking a shower and shaving her legs and some other body parts before putting on lotion.
She also put on a new pajama she bought as a surprise for Leonard, even though it looked more like a bikini than anything else, with the exception that it was made of cotton. The bottom part was a thong covered with what looked like at attached skirt and the top was a revealing bra. Truth be told, she couldn't even remember why she had bought it, she only knew that she had been inebriated when she did. Looking at herself in the mirror once she put it on, she quickly realized the reason she bought it because she knew that Leonard would turn wild when seeing her like this.
After putting on a robe, she sat back down on the couch and waited for Leonard to return home. She was barely able to follow the plot of the show but rather watched the actresses work to get some pointers on episodic acting. Unfortunately, the plot was also pretty boring, so she started dozing off, only to be awoken when a sudden loud commercial came on with some guy yelling to sell stuff. Since Leonard hadn't come back yet, she decided to brush her teeth and then head over to see what kept him.
"Hey." she said to Leonard when she found him sitting at his laptop. "I was waiting for you. When did Raj leave?"
"Yeah sorry, Sheldon couldn't stop babbling about his upcoming interview, so Raj left at some point." he sighed.
"You wanna...?" she asked, pointing towards the door.
"Ah, Penny, there you are." an appearing Sheldon said before Leonard could reply and she could see in her husband's facial expression that she wouldn't like what was coming. "Ready to go to bed to get strength for my upcoming interview?"
"I came by to get Leonard to do exactly that." she told him.
"But today you have to be here as per the new roommate agreement." Sheldon pointed out.
"Do we have to?" Penny sighed.
"Either we bite the bullet or we have to listen to him complaining forever about how we can't be trusted and other choice insults." Leonard said dejectedly.
"Fine." she sighed, resigning herself to the situation. "I'm done with all my bathroom stuff already."
She followed Leonard into his bedroom where he grabbed his shorts and shirt before heading to the bathroom. She stood in the room and looked around, seeing all his nerdy stuff, which made her smile again at the situation, of how her old high school self would never have imagined dating an asthmatic nerd, much less be married to one. She took a random comic book and rifled through it, seeing Batman and Harley Quinn arguing, also shaking her head at the writers making the female characters often very sexy, knowing full well who buys these comics.
"Ready." Leonard said when he returned to the bedroom. "Are you reading a comic book?"
"Yeah, took a random one." she shrugged and put it back before taking off her robe to reveal her new sleep attire.
"Really?" he deadpanned. "You're wearing that tonight?"
"Oh, want me to take it off?" she asked, completely serious and Leonard looked at her for what felt like a minute.
"Yes!" he finally said and with a grin, she reached behind her and opened the bra clasp, letting the fabric fall.
"Lets get some sleep." she winked and got into bed and under the covers.
"Really?" he repeated with the same level of incredulity. "Why are you doing this to me?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about." she grinned and patted the space next to her.
"Sure, you don't." he rolled his eyes and joined her in bed, turning off the lights after doing so.
"Love you." she smiled to herself and rolled against him, pressing herself against his side, his arm sneaking underneath her and his hand gently roaming her bare back.
"It's a thong?" he groaned when his fingers finally reached her ass.
"You said you liked it." she gave him a one-sided shrug. "Want me to take it off?"
"Yes." he huffed and rolled her onto her back before lifting his body. "Lift your legs."
"Why?" she giggled but doing it anyway, only for him to swiftly pull the thong off of her.
"Now spread your legs." he ordered.
"Make me." she chuckled. "I could leave them together, you know? Gives both of us more friction."
"Next time." he hummed and grabbed her ankles, pushing her legs apart even though she playfully resisted.
As Leonard began to rub his erection over her clit, Penny smiled to herself. She loved when he took control like this, taking what he wanted for a change, since she did it almost every night. She knew that he loved it when she was on top but she found that him just taking her the way he wanted was also incredibly hot.
She began moaning, and even though she wouldn't normally care, she didn't want yet another complaint from Sheldon about their amorous activities. Taking her moaning as a cue, Leonard pulled back and without ever using his hands to line himself up, moved his crotch around until his tip found her center.
He began slowly pushing forward, the tip opening her up and entering her. He gave a moan himself and let himself sink down on her, Penny reaching around him and receiving his lips. Slowly but increasing in speed, he began thrusting, causing a muffled yelp every time he went fully in. She crossed her legs behind him, using her lower legs to push him further when he went in, even though she knew that there was no way that she could get him inside her any further than he already pushed in by himself.
"Oh yeah baby, little Leonard is where he belongs." she whispered into his ear.
"What?" he couldn't help but give a laugh.
"Inside me." she explained, wondering why he needed the explanation in the first place. "Now keep going."
"Yes, mam." he chuckled.
He began thrusting once more, never fast enough to make a lot of noise with the bed but the speed also allowed him to just enjoy the feeling of her insides. For Penny, it was almost akin to pleasure torture since she always had that feeling of almost coming whenever he pushed his manhood completely into her and touched that special spot inside her. She continued to give muffled yelps and she could feel Leonard smile throughout their kisses until she finally had enough.
"I need more friction." she growled and removed one of her legs from his back and rolled first to her right and then swung left, rolling them around so Leonard ended up on his back.
"What about Sheldon?" Leonard chuckled.
"Screw him." she shrugged, moving her hips left and right and enjoying the feeling. "He wanted to have a married couple in the next room who he knows are having plenty of sex."
"Then by all means, treat me like a horse." he laughed.
"While I might not care if Sheldon complains about us having sex, I'm not a monster." she giggled and moved her hips sideways again like she was doing a belly dance.
"Or, you could keep doing that." Leonard moaned. "That feels really good."
"Maybe I should take a course in belly dancing." she grinned and started doing it again.
She moved her hips side to side and also in circles, hearing him moan. She loved hearing him voice his pleasure, since he usually was kind of quiet except during a climax, when he often groaned like a bear. After several minutes, she realized that moving her hips in ways she wasn't used to became tiring but she kept on doing it until the pleasure became too great and she felt herself tightening.
Without her actively thinking about it, her hips began moving in their regular way when she rode him, forward and back. Her hands went to the headboard of his bed and she used the leverage to strongly move her body backwards to get him deep into her. Leonard didn't waste the opportunity and grabbed her breasts, rubbing his thumbs over her nipples and making her hiss over the moans she was already voicing.
For some reason, as Penny rode him, she thought about the stories of couples who got tired of having sex, only doing it sparsely and both completely fine with it. She had no idea how that was possible. Ever since they went steady on that fateful weekend at the spa, they had done it almost daily, barring her having her period or Leonard being at the North Pole or on the North Sea or her punishing him for something stupid he had done, and sometimes even more than once a day or night, yet she still could not get enough of him.
Though she only ever felt it when he was inside her, it was as if something was missing when he wasn't inside her and as soon as his manhood entered her, she felt complete and the way he was able to make her howl at the moon certainly helped with that feeling. She looked down and saw his face, visible by the faint glow of the street lights outside, his eyes moving from her breasts to her face and to her breasts again.
Every time his eyes met hers, she could see the unconditional love in them and it almost brought her to tears. No other man in her life before Leonard ever looked at her that way, they only ever showed the lust she caused in them whenever she took off her clothes. Leonard had that look as well, especially when she was naked but it was overshadowed by the look of pure love, that look that said that he would walk through fire for her.
Penny lowered her upper body and kissed him, wrapping her arms around his head to press him harder against her mouth. She pushed her tongue into his mouth, wrestling with his and changing her grinding forward to a thrust up and down of her hips, increasing the speed and hearing his groan at the sudden change.
She felt herself tightening up even more and started chasing her climax, slamming her hips down to get the friction she needed and soon enough, she squealed into his mouth as her insides squeezed his manhood. With a relieved groan, Leonard unloaded into her, Penny not letting him rest and keeping up her thrusts until his groans turned into relieved moans.
"I love you." she spoke through the side of her mouth, the rest of her lips still on his.
"I love you too." he retorted and she could hear his smile.
Releasing him as she got up, she held a hand between her legs and rummaged in Leonard's drawer to get a kitchen towel from the roll he kept in their for just that occasion. Before leaving for the bathroom, she put on her robe just in case Sheldon opened his bedroom door but she didn't have to worry.
After cleaning up, she switched places with Leonard, who also cleaned himself up and returned into the bedroom. Even though she didn't want to, she had to turn on the lamp on his nightstand so she could find the bottom part of her nightwear, having trouble and even looking under the bed.
"That's one hell of a view." an appearing Leonard mentioned when he saw his wife kneeling on the floor, ass in the air.
"Where did you put my bottoms?" she asked him.
"Um..." he hummed and looked around. "There they are."
"Where?" she followed his outstretched finger and found them stuck inside the covers. "Ah."
"When did you get this?" he asked after she had put the bra part back on.
"Not sure, but I think I might have been drunk." she shrugged. "Why, you don't like it?"
"Yeah right." he rolled his eyes and gently rubbed over her covered breasts. "You look so sexy in this. But isn't it weird sleeping with what looks like a bikini top?"
"You might be right." she nodded and took the bra part off again, looking around for one of his shirts and putting it on. "You're right, much more comfortable."
"But less sexy." he laughed and got back into bed.
"Make a decision." she demanded. "Sexy bra top or comfortable shirt?"
"Neither?" he grinned.
"Would Sheldon come in here?" she asked.
"No, I don't think so, he's overcome that idea when you punched him in the face." he shook his head.
"Alright." she accepted it and took the shirt off again, revealing her naked breasts once more. "Yeah, that works."
"It certainly does." he smiled and took her into his arms.
Sated, she closed her eyes and quickly fell asleep, not even feeling it when Leonard rested his hand on her butt.
"PENNY!" a happy squeal greeted her when she walked in.
"Marcia." Penny smiled, seeing her friend and co-star and walking over to give her a hug.
"Oh my god, were you as surprised as me when you got the call?" Marcia grinned.
"Yep." Penny chuckled at Marcia's enthusiasm. "Lets hope this goes somewhere."
"I think it will, the movies did well." Marcia shrugged.
"Penny, there you are." Annabel joined them. "Now we can begin."
"Am I late?" Penny wondered, checking her watch. "You said eight o'clock, right?"
"No, but everyone else got here earlier, so lets not waste any more time." Annabel said. "We have coffee and some breakfast in the reading room."
Penny walked into the room and was greeted by the many familiar faces. She shook everyone's hand, the writers, Steven the director as well as her other co-stars and they sat down. Steven played the part of the narrator, reading the scenes out before Penny and the others read the dialogue, most already having read the script before.
"What's this part?" Penny asked when they reached the second half of the script. "It just says 'BG'."
"It's bad guy." a young woman told her.
"What's your name?" Penny wanted to know.
"Jessica." the woman replied. "I'm one of the writers."
"He's running late, so we'll have Jessica read the part." Steven told her.
"Who is it?" Marcia asked.
"Charles Dance." Jessica told them. "We got him for the pilot since he was in the tag scene of the last movie."
"We don't know yet if we can retain him for a more regular part." Annabel threw in. "He's busy these days."
Shrugging, but inwardly ecstatic that she would meet Charles Dance again, they continued the table read. Several times, the writers stopped them and changed a line here or there to make it fit better to the scene, and other times, Penny, Marcia or Quinn suggested changes for the simple reason of better pronouncing things and the rest of the day went smoothly.
"Do we go overtime?" Penny asked when it was four in the afternoon.
"Need to be somewhere?" Annabel chuckled.
"Well, yes, actually." she shrugged. "I promised my husband and my friend to be there when Adam Nimoy shows up."
"Eh, what?" Steven looked at her. "Adam Nimoy as in Leonard Nimoy's son?"
"Yeah, he's making a documentary about his father and the impact of Spock on the audience and is interviewing fans. And since Sheldon is probably one of the biggest fans of the character Spock, Wil Wheaton asked for the interview." Penny explained.
"You know Wil Wheaton?" Marcia beamed. "Is he nice?"
"Yeah, we met a few times." Penny nodded. "He's nice but he also can be quite the asshole when he wants to win a game."
"Well, I think we can end for today." Steven nodded. "The writers will stay and rework the script with the changes we made today, check for continuity in the other scripts and tomorrow we'll do another read."
"Sure thing." Jessica nodded.
"Penny, can I have a word please?" Marcia said quietly to her as they filed out.
"Sure." Penny shrugged and followed the other woman to a more secluded spot. "So, what's going on?"
"Um... Sam told me that she would send the video she made of me and her during the night of your wedding." Marcia began. "Did she?"
"She sure did." Penny confirmed. "And I must say, damn girl, you got moves."
"Thanks." Marcia coughed, blushing heavily. "But I just wanted to make sure that you won't post that on the internet."
"Hell no!" Penny gasped. "I would never do that to you or or Sam."
"If we become more famous with this show, some idiots might try to hack your phone." Marcia suggested.
"Not to worry, that video will never even be on my phone." Penny calmed her. "We keep it on an external drive that my husband has also secured with a password, so the chance of that video getting out is practically zero."
"Thanks." Marcia smiled.
"Hey, I wanted to ask, what do you weigh?" Penny asked.
"Why?" Marcia squinted at her.
"Well..." Penny began and looked around to make sure that nobody was close and could overhear her. "The last video we saw was you getting carried around by Sam while she... you know."
"Ah." Marcia nodded. "I'm a hundred pounds, give or take."
"That being said, have you seen Sam since the wedding?" Penny asked with a grin.
"No, but we keep in contact." Marcia grinned back. "Sam wants to visit at some point though."
"Cool, I hope you can let her out of the bedroom for a bit so she can spare some time for me as well." Penny laughed. "Not for that though, just for a talk."
"Very funny." Marcia moped. "Lets get going, you said you had to get home."
"Yep." Penny nodded and the women separated.
She got into her car and drove off. After weaving her way through traffic, she reached home a few minutes before Wil and Adam were supposed to arrive. She decided against a shower and just freshened up and changed into something more comfortable before heading over to Sheldon's apartment and greeting her husband with a kiss.
"Where's Sheldon?" she asked.
"In his room, putting on some nice clothes." Leonard told her. "How did the read-through go?"
"As expected." she shrugged. "They're changing a few things. Oh, and guess what."
"What?" he waited.
"Charles Dance is coming back." she beamed. "He's in the script but wasn't there because he's still busy with some other project."
"That's cool." Leonard was impressed. "You want some tea?"
"Sure." she nodded and settled down to wait for the water heater to finish.
"Hello, Amy. It's Sheldon." an appearing Sheldon spoke into his phone. "I know that we're broken up, but I'm leaving this message because I thought perhaps you'd like to watch me be interviewed for a documentary about Mr. Spock. Or as I like to call it, a Spockumentary. Yeah, I'm going to use that joke in the interview, so try to laugh like you're hearing it for the first time. You know, hysterically, hmm? And with a tinge of sadness that I'm no longer in your life."
"I'm the one who thought of Spockumentary." Leonard protested.
"And I'm laughing like I did the first time I heard it." she retorted, her face straight as someone knocked on the door.
"Hello." Sheldon greeted the visitors after opening the door.
"Hey, Sheldon." Wil greeted back and pointed to the other person. "This is Adam Nimoy."
"Nice to meet you." Adam offered Sheldon his hand and to Penny's surprise, Sheldon straight up took it without hesitation.
""Oh, it's nice to meet you." Sheldon said. "I admire your father's work very much. It's not every day I get to meet someone whose life's journey began in my hero's scrotum."
"I told you this guy is gold." Wil grinned to Adam as Sheldon hurried to the couch.
"Hello, I'm Penny." Penny introduced herself since Sheldon wasn't bothering to. "And this is my husband Leonard."
"Oh, were you named after my father?" Adam perked up.
"No, my parents never cared for science fiction." Leonard shook his head. "I was named after the anthropologist Leonard Leakey."
"That's also his full name." Sheldon threw in from the couch. "Leonard Leakey Hofstadter."
"Thanks, Sheldon." Leonard rolled his eyes.
"I'm going to set up the camera." Adam said and began to work.
"He's nice." Penny said to Wil, who placed himself next to them.
"He is." Wil nodded.
"All right, we're just gonna have a conversation." Adam said to Sheldon after he was done and sat down across from him. "Pretend the camera's not here."
"All right. But this better not be some elaborate scheme to get me out of my shirt." Sheldon commented, Adam visibly rocking backwards at that.
"How long have you known Adam?" Leonard asked Wil.
"A few years." Wil shrugged.
"And what are you getting him back for?" Leonard asked again, making Penny almost spit out her tea.
"Let's start with your name and occupation." Adam prompted.
"Doctor Sheldon Cooper, theoretical physicist, Caltech." Sheldon listed.
"And what is your earliest memory of the character Spock?" Adam asked him.
"The first episode of Star Trek: The Original Series I ever saw was The Galileo Seven. Spock had just landed on the planet Taurus two." Sheldon recounted. "Then my brother came in, sat on my head, and said eat farts. After that day, I was hooked. On Star Trek, not my brother's sphincter-based cuisine."
"What was it about Spock that appealed to you?" Adam continued.
"I think the same thing that appeals to people everywhere, the dream of a cold, rational world entirely without human emotion. Spock came from a planet governed only by logic. You know, on Vulcan, when your brother asks, why are you hitting yourself? the answer is, I'm not. You're moving my arm. To which he says, Fascinating. And then you both watch educational television." Sheldon described.
"Aw. When he says things like that, I just want to hug him and make everything better." Penny felt bad for him.
"My brother was mean to me, too." Leonard threw in.
"And now you want a hug?" Penny looked at him.
"Would be nice." he nodded.
"But you also get plenty of sex." Penny gave him a look. "You can have one or the other."
"Yeah, I don't need a hug that badly." Leonard agreed, Penny smiling knowingly at him.
"Do you have any Spock collectibles?" they heard Adam ask when they brought their attention back to the interview.
"I have many. My most treasured is an autographed napkin given to me by my very thoughtful friend Penny." Sheldon nodded and pointed. "That's her over there."
"Hi." Penny waved into the camera after Adam had turned it around. "Look at that. I'm in a movie, my shirt stayed on."
"You were in more movies and your shirt stayed on." Leonard argued.
"Except the second one." she giggled. "Though they only filmed me from the back."
"Can we see the napkin?" Adam asked Sheldon.
"Of course." Sheldon nodded and got up. "Excuse me. This will just take a moment." he added, walking to the wall and opening one of his whiteboards like a door, revealing a safe in the wall.
"When did we get a wall safe?" Leonard was surprised, having never seen it.
"When there was no more room in the floor safe." Sheldon pointed to a spot on the floor, where Penny could not see a lid or anything.
"When did we get a floor safe?" Leonard wanted to know.
"When we got the security camera." Sheldon told him.
"There's a security camera?" Leonard was aghast.
"Aquaman, protecting your home since 2012." Sheldon proudly pointed to the figurine he had bought a while ago.
"Oh, my God." Penny realized with a shock when she saw where the figurine stood. "We've done things on that couch."
"Yeah. You don't have to tell me." Sheldon nodded.
"Isn't Sheldon a germaphobe?" Wil asked them.
"Yes, why?" Leonard said, his head still bowed down from the revelation that Sheldon had seen him and Penny having sex on the couch.
"How does he sit on the couch then?"
"That's actually a good question." Leonard realized.
"Here it is." Sheldon smiled and produced a lockbox, bringing it to the kitchen island, where he opened it and produced the napkin Penny had gotten him.
"Not only is it signed to me but this is where he wiped his mouth." Sheldon said proudly. "So we are currently in the presence of Leonard Nimoy's DNA."
"Um, doesn't Adam count as Leonard Nimoy's DNA?" Wil asked.
"No offense, but this is pure one hundred percent Nimoy." Sheldon shook his head. "Because of your mother, you're only fifty percent. Which isn't bad, but anything that you wipe your mouth on gets thrown away."
"Okay, enough about the napkin." Penny stopped that discussion. "What else you hiding in there?"
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Sheldon looked at her.
"I would." Penny nodded.
"All right then." Sheldon accepted to her surprise. "See? Just my valuables. My passport, uh, my will."
"You have a will?" Leonard wondered.
"Yeah." Sheldon nodded and produced an action figure and then a piece of paper. "My one-eighteenth scale Wil Wheaton action figure. I also have the other kind of will, and in it I will my Wil back to Wil."
"Will Wil want it?" Leonard looked at their guest.
"Wil won't." Wil shook his head.
"Oh, what's that ring box?" Penny asked after seeing it.
"That is an engagement ring that I was going to give my girlfriend Amy." Sheldon said after showing the ring.
"WHAT?" Penny shrieked.
"You bought her a ring?" Leonard was equally surprised.
"No, no. This has been in my family for generations. Except for a short time when Comanches cut off my great-great-great-grandmother's finger and stole it." Sheldon explained the provenance of the piece of jewelry.
"Sheldon, that's awful." Wil commented.
"No, the Texas Rangers tracked them down to their village and slaughtered every last one of them." Sheldon told them. "It was a happy ending, at least for my nine-fingered Nana."
"Okay, back to the ring." Penny brought the topic back. "Does Amy even know about this?"
"No. She broke up with me before I could broach the subject." Sheldon told her.
"Oh, man, I'm sorry, that must have been devastating for you." Leonard didn't quite know what to say.
"No, not at all. No, I'm fine. You know, Amy had reservations about our relationship, so all worked out for the best." Sheldon waved it off.
"I know. It just…" Penny tried.
"I SAID I'M FINE!" Sheldon suddenly yelled, shocking her and following with a rather long pause.
"He's certainly not fine." Leonard whispered to her.
"We've gotten a little off-topic. Allow me to make things entertaining again in this little Spockumentary." Sheldon said and got no reaction. "That was Leonard's joke."
"I have no idea what he's talking about." Leonard shook his head when Adam pointed the camera at him.
"Lets go back to the couch." Sheldon said and sat back down on his spot.
"Okay." Adam nodded and sat down across from him and began to film him again.
"As a child, when faced with a dilemma, my mother encouraged me to ask what would Jesus do? The answer to that was always love thy neighbor. But my neighbor had a dead tooth, so that wasn't going to happen." Sheldon recounted from his childhood. "But that's why I changed it to, what would Spock do?"
"Did you find that helpful?" Adam asked.
"Yes." Sheldon nodded. "For example, three years ago when I discovered Penny was eating all my Pop-Tarts, instead of getting angry or vindictive, you know, I got a floor safe."
"I knew I could smell them." Penny grumbled.
"Don't mind them, from now on, we pretend they're not here." Sheldon said to Adam.
"What about from when you were a kid?" Adam continued.
"When I was eight years old, Billy Sparks cornered me in the playground. I asked myself what would Spock do?" Sheldon talked more about his childhood. "Then I grabbed Billy on his shoulder and performed my first Vulcan nerve pinch."
"Did it work?" Adam asked.
"Oh, no, he broke my collarbone." Sheldon shook his head, shocking Penny. "I can still hear it click."
"That must have been very upsetting for you." Adam commented on that.
"Oh, not at all." Sheldon shook his head. "As I said, the entire point of emulating Spock was to rise above human emotion, which I've spent a lifetime mastering."
"Oh pfft." Penny huffed loudly.
"Excuse me?" Sheldon looked at her.
"Sorry." Penny waved him off. "You said it, I'm not here."
"No. You went pfft. What does pfft mean?" Sheldon asked her.
"All right, fine." Penny shrugged. "Well, Sheldon, I'm no expert, but aren't you completely missing the point of Spock? I mean, he liked to act like he had no emotions, but he was still half human."
"Just like you." Leonard tried to lift the spirits with a joke.
"I'm just saying, you pretend you don't, but you have feelings just like everybody else." Penny finished her point.
"Not true. No, look at me. I had an engagement ring to give a girl, and instead, she rejected me." Sheldon started but became louder and louder. "And am I emotional about that? No. No, I am sitting here on a couch, talking about my favorite TV character like nothing happened. Because I am just like him, all logical, all the time."
"Sweetie, you're yelling." Penny pointed it out to him.
"Because when I speak at a regular volume, no one seems to believe me that I've put this Amy nonsense behind me." Sheldon yelled and got up before running to his bedroom.
"This documentary is gonna be awesome." Wil grinned.
"Do you feel joy at the emotional discomfort of others?" Leonard asked him.
"Not particularly, but I do want to get the best outcomes." Wil shrugged.
"Like when you tried to break me and Leonard up to win at bowling?" Penny looked at him.
"Yeah, like that." Wil nodded, completely serious about it.
"Anyway, I don't think we will get any more material today." Adam spoke up, turning the camera off.
"Will you use Sheldon's outburst in it?" Leonard asked.
"Oh, definitely." Wil smiled. "Thanks for the hospitality."
"Sure." Penny rolled her eyes as Leonard opened the door for their two guests.
"Bye Adam, bye Wil."
"Goodbye." Adam shook Leonard's hand. "Believe me, I don't find any pleasure in your friend's discomfort."
"I can't believe Sheldon was gonna ask Amy to marry him." Penny sighed after Leonard had closed the door.
"I know." Leonard agreed. "I also can't believe he watched what we did on that couch and still sits on it."
"Hello." a returning Sheldon said.
"Hey, buddy. How you doing?" Leonard said in a comforting voice.
"Better." Sheldon sighed. "Did Wil and Adam leave?"
"Yeah." Leonard confirmed.
"Do you think they're going to put my outburst in the documentary?" Sheldon wanted to know.
"Definitely." Penny nodded.
"Well, there's no point in dwelling on it." Sheldon shrugged him off. "As the Vulcans say, Kup-fun-tor ha'kiv na'ish Du stau."
"Do you know what that means?" Penny looked at Leonard.
"No." Leonard abnegated.
"Are you telling the truth?" Penny smiled.
"Nirsh." Leonard replied, looking embarrassed.
"Well, this is ridiculous." Sheldon stated. "Being upset about Amy all the time isn't accomplishing anything. If I want to resolve this situation, then I need to take action."
"What are you gonna do?" Penny asked, a bit concerned.
"I'm going to find her and ask her to marry me." Sheldon answered, shocking Penny. "And if she says yes, we can put this behind us and resume our relationship. And if she says no, well, then she can just ponfo miran."
"He didn't meant that." Leonard shook his head after Sheldon grabbed the ring box and headed out.
"Did I just hear correctly that he is going to propose to Amy?" Penny could still not quite believe it.
"You did." Leonard nodded.
"What did he say in that weird language?"
"Which ones?" he asked.
"Both."
"Well, the first meant 'can you return life to what you kill?' and the second was 'go to hell'." he translated.
"What do you think happens now?" she wondered.
"Well, it's pretty black and white." he shrugged. "Either she accepts his proposal and he comes back happy, or what counts as happy for him, or she refuses and he comes back depressed."
"So, in the latter case, I guess we'll sleep here again." she sighed. "If we didn't, he probably would come over anyway."
"Yeah." he agreed.
They sat down on the couch together to watch some TV, knowing that it would take Sheldon at least an hour to come back since he had to take the bus to Amy. Penny rested her head on Leonard's legs and both watched some movie that was just on TV, neither knowing what it was about but seeing that the special effects definitely could use some work.
Penny wondered how much special effects work would be needed for her show. During the filming of her movies, the director had been adamant about using as much realism as possible, so the only thing necessary was the muzzle flashes for the guns, since they couldn't actually shoot live bullets with the guns they used and blanks didn't have the same flash as real ones and they also sounded different. Her thoughts were interrupted when suddenly, the door burst open and a shoe-less Sheldon hurried inside, slamming the door shut and leaning against it, breathing heavily.
"What happened to you?" Penny asked concerned.
"What happened to your shoes?" Leonard added.
"A crow followed me home." Sheldon panted and looked through the door's peephole. "I had to throw my shoes at it but it wouldn't let up."
"Sheldon, even if a crow had actually followed you, it's wouldn't be in the building." Leonard shook his head.
"How do you know, are you an ornithologist?" Sheldon scoffed.
"Never mind that, what happened with Amy?" Penny interjected. "Did she say yes?"
"Oh, I couldn't ask her." Sheldon said and put the ring box back into the lock box. "She was saying goodbye to another man and he even kissed her."
"Wait, Amy is dating?" Penny gasped.
"It appears so." Sheldon nodded.
"I'm sorry, buddy." Leonard said. "Is there something we can do?"
"Yes, you can order pizza and then be quiet, so I can watch Doctor Who in peace." Sheldon said and sat down to watch TV.
"Unbelievable." Penny rolled her eyes, wondering how he could be so blasé about this.
Shaking her head at his apparent indifference, she sat down on the other end of the couch while Leonard took the armchair this time. Knowing that Sheldon hated interruptions, they both stayed quiet and let him enjoy the episode. That peace couldn't last though due to technical difficulties.
"How can this day get any worse." Sheldon complained.
"Sheldon, it's a minute, I'm sure nothing important happened." Leonard tried to calm him.
"You know as well as I do that Doctor Who puts important scenes right at the end." Sheldon said. "At least this week is over."
"Good night." Penny said when Sheldon walked towards his bedroom. "Poor guy."
"Wanna head over to your place?" he suggested. "We fulfilled our quota this week."
"No, I think we should stay here." she said, though she was disappointed in herself for that. "I'm afraid Sheldon would just come over when he has a bad dream."
"You sure?"
"Yeah." she nodded. "Just make sure that he's okay. I'm sure that he currently feels feelings he never felt before."
"What do you mean?" he wanted to know
"Well, remember when we had our rough patch?" she asked and he nodded. "Now imagine we wouldn't have gotten back together that quickly and I had begun dating again but you still loved me. And then one day, you exit the apartment and you see a date of mine leaving my apartment in the morning and kissing me goodbye."
"I get it." he nodded.
"Sure, in Amy's case, I doubt she had sex yet but the effect is the same for Sheldon." she continued.
"I get it." he repeated.
To save some time, she walked to her apartment to take a shower while Sheldon blocked the one in his apartment. She also brushed her teeth and put on her pajamas, this time not the skimpy ones from last night but rather regular sleep shorts and a white shirt. She put her robe back on and returned to the other apartment, where Sheldon was already in his room and Leonard in the bathroom. She got on the bed and perused her phone until Leonard stepped into the room.
"Huh." he hummed.
"What?" she wondered.
"Well, I thought you'd be wearing... you know."
"The one from last night?" she grinned and he nodded. "Yeah, I thought about it but just in case Sheldon does have a bad night and comes in here, I'd rather not be wearing that one or less."
"Okay, I understand." he said but she could see the disappointment.
"Sweetie, you see me naked pretty much every day." she argued.
"I know, it's irrational, but seeing you in that other one makes me, I don't know, do a happy dance inside at how beautiful and downright sexy my wife is." he shrugged. "Not that you're not sexy in those shorts and that shirt does show off your breast size."
"I married a pig." she huffed theatrically and leaned back with the back of her left hand on her forehead.
"If that's how you act in the TV show, then the network will cancel it after the pilot." he chuckled.
"Shut up and kiss me." she grinned and pulled him towards her.
Even though they wouldn't risk sex tonight, she still wanted some intimacy.
Penny had the weirdest dream. She walked through a forest of pink trees, as if she had taken acid and walked into a city area full of neon lights. After an undetermined amount of time just walking, she sat down beside a tree and just enjoyed the air that was both warm and cool. She saw chameleons sitting close to her, all whipping out their tongues towards her as if to catch insects that weren't there. She felt weird sensations crawling up her legs until her hips bucked up and...
"HRGN!" she grunted and found herself staring at the walls of the bedroom, the early morning light coming from the window illuminating the opposite wall.
"Good morning." Leonard grinned from where he was and Penny finally realized her position.
"What time is it?" she asked with a grin, her hips in the same bucked up position than they got in her dream.
"Just after six." he said and his tongue went back into her vagina.
She hissed in pleasure, forgiving him on the spot for waking her up at this hour. Opening her eyes again, she could discern several things. First, he had gotten up and around the bed without her waking up. Second, he had managed to take off her shorts without waking her up. And third, he had pushed a pillow under her rear to lift her lower body, probably what caused her movement she had dreamed, but again without waking her up.
"Mpfh." he gave a muffled protest when she turned on his nightstand lamp, blinding him with the sudden brightness.
"Sorry." she whispered. "But I want to see this."
She watched as he went back to work on her. His hands were holding her legs up and his mouth was pressed against her, making her hiss every time his tongue moved to her clit. He gave a moan as if eating a delicious meal and Penny grabbed her legs by the insides of her knees and held them herself, allowing Leonard to use his hands. Like it had before, watching it increased the pleasure experience for Penny. Leonard used his hands to spread her labia to get better access and she could see his tongue move, every change in direction felt inside her.
"Faster, I'm so close!" she breathed and pushed her hips strongly against him.
Leonard moved his tongue rapidly and added pressure by rubbing her clit with his right index finger. Penny's hips undulated on their own until with a final push, she climaxed, Leonard not even slowing down and prolonging it. With the final wave of pleasure pulsing away, she practically collapsed and grinned down at him.
"Good morning, wife." Leonard smiled at her and gave her pussy a gentle kiss.
"Good morning, husband." she still grinned and grabbed him by the hair to pull him up. "What brought that on?"
"Well, since you had to get up early anyway, I thought I replace your phone alarm with my tongue." he explained and kissed her on the mouth.
"Good idea." she chuckled. "Do we have time to have sex? I'm really horny right now."
"Only a quickie, if you want to have a nice breakfast." he told her. "Don't forget, you have to leave by seven-fifteen to be at the studio on time."
"Right." she sighed. "Rain check then."
"No quickie?" he was surprised.
"No, I want sex, not some quickie." she giggled. "Tonight though. I'll give you a long blowjob and you can lick me some more, then I'll smother your little friend down there with my insides."
"Can't wait." he laughed and got up, pulling her up with him. "I'm going to make breakfast for us and Sheldon."
He put on his robe and walked out of the room while she searched for her shorts, finding them hanging from the window sill, where Leonard had probably thrown them at after taking them off of her. She put them on, followed by her robe before heading into the bathroom to freshen up and brushing her teeth.
When she walked into the living room, she found Leonard in the kitchen, preparing their breakfast. The appetizing bouquet of french toast greeted her nose as well as fresh coffee, the last drops of which were already dripping into the can. She grabbed it and a cup, which she filled and took a long drought, before heading to the fridge to get herself a carton of creamer.
"I think it's so adorable you're making Sheldon breakfast." she commented as he put the last piece of toast on a plate.
"Well, he's having a rough time." he shrugged. "Amy broke his heart, the DVR cut off the last minute of Doctor Who. That crow followed him home."
"Aren't you worried you're making French toast on oatmeal day?" she wondered.
"Ah, well, what's this?" he smiled as he stepped aside to reveal a steaming pot. "A pot of oatmeal? Or, thanks to you, what I will now call gloatmeal."
"Oh, I don't want credit for that." she shook her head.
"Oh, Dr. and Mrs. Hofstadter, lovely to see you this fine morning." a suspiciously happy Sheldon said after appearing in the living room.
"You're in a good mood." Leonard commented.
"Yeah, I am indeed." Sheldon confirmed. "I have decided, instead of wallowing in sadness about Amy, it is time that I find myself a new female companion."
"Oh, good for you." Penny was impressed.
"What brought this on?" Leonard asked.
"I realized something." Sheldon replied. "When Amy was in my life, I was hyper-focused on my work and ignored her."
"And you don't want to make the same mistake with the next woman." Penny suggested.
"No, I need a new woman in my life to ignore so I can hyper-focus on my work again." Sheldon surprised her with that.
"Hey, I made French toast sticks." Leonard pointed to the plate.
"On oatmeal day?" Sheldon gasped.
"I also made oatmeal." Leonard smiled.
"Oh, that's a lot of carbohydrates for a man on the prowl." Sheldon patted his stomach. "You know what? You eat it. You're married, it doesn't matter what you look like."
"Don't take advice from a man who threw his shoe at a crow." Penny quickly crushed that idea.
"Don't worry, I do tend to not overeat." he rolled his eyes and grabbed a toast tick.
"Sheldon, do you really think that a woman would want to date you if you just ignore her?" Penny asked him.
"Oh, why wouldn't they?" Sheldon smiled. "What's not to like about that? No boring dates, no tedious movie nights. Just eat food and work on making groundbreaking discoveries."
"Yeah, what woman wouldn't love that?" Penny acted excited, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Now you get it." Sheldon smiled again, not getting it.
"Well, I gotta get dressed for work." Penny sighed and got up. "Thanks for breakfast."
"Any time." Leonard smiled. "Want me to make you a to-go cup of coffee?"
"Yes, please." she smiled and gave him a kiss.
She walked over to her apartment and into her bedroom, discarding the robe as well as the pajamas. After freshening up once more, she got dressed in comfortable underwear and jeans and a loose top before heading back over, finding Sheldon still at his computer and Leonard holding a to-go cup with the coffee he had made. Giving him another kiss, she headed back out and downstairs, where she got into her car and snaked her way through morning traffic.
Arriving at the studio almost forty-five minutes later, she parked her car and headed into the building. She nodded to some of the crew she saw and entered the room where they would do the read, grabbing one of the reworked scripts from a pile on the table and beginning to rifle through it. She noted the changes to her dialogue, even some added scenes that brought, at least in her imagination, better context to some later stuff.
"Mind if I join you?" a male voice asked.
"I don't own the room." she said absentmindedly.
"Got a script for me?" came the next question.
"Too good to get it yourself?" she rolled her eyes, still focusing on her script and pushed another one from the pile towards the voice.
"Thank you." she could hear the smile in the voice and she finally looked up.
"Oh my god!" she gasped and shot to her feet, her chair clattering backwards. "I'm so sorry, I didn't recognize you, Mister Dance."
"That's quite alright." the man chuckled. "And since we're going to work together, you can call me Charles."
"Thank you." Penny smiled. "I'm so glad that you agreed to come back, it was so great watching you work."
"Well, I have bills to pay." Charles laughed.
"I thought you were doing quite well." Penny wondered.
"I am, it's a figure of speech." Charles smiled. "But also, as an actor, I would be stupid to refuse a job. We all have an expiration date as talent."
"But what if the role is for a really bad movie?" she asked.
"Then it would depend on how your career is going." Charles shrugged. "If you hadn't had a job for a while and you desperately need the money, then you of course should take it. If you don't , then it would be better to refuse it in order to not damage your reputation as an actor."
"I did two really bad movies about mutant apes." she chuckled sadly.
"As I said, sometimes you have to do what you have to do, if only to get some experience." Charles told her.
"Mister Dance!" an excited Marcia joined them, the rest of the cast behind her.
"Call me Charles." Charles shook her hand.
"Good morning, Charles." Quinn held out his hand.
"Call me Mister Dance." Charles glared at him, Quinn looking shocked. "I'm kidding!"
"Good of you to join us, Charles." Annabel greeted him as she joined them with Steven and two of the writers in tow.
"Annabel." Charles shook the woman's hand. "I have a request."
"Oh?"
"Could we read my parts first?" Charles asked. "I have an appointment this afternoon."
"Already jumping ship?" Annabel grinned.
"No, but I have to do some re-shoots for the last Underworld movie." Charles told them.
"Alright, lets get going then." Annabel nodded, the rest of the cast grabbing a script each.
With Charles now reading his parts instead of someone from the crew, Penny immediately felt the character. That man had such presence, his voice clear and authoritative, and he spoke the lines of his character in a way that would make anyone follow his orders. True to his words, he left during lunch time, having read all his lines, even when the writers made some small changes, some even due to his suggestions, which made his character even more menacing.
"It's so cool that he came back for his role." Marcia gushed as they ate their takeout lunch that Annabel had organized.
"Yeah, I hope when we do some scenes, I get the chance of picking his brain about acting." Penny grinned. "I think I can learn a lot even from just watching him."
"Just what I was thinking." Marcia nodded. "I'll make sure to always be there when he films his scenes."
"Hey, by the way, I never asked before but are you versed in computers in real life too?" Penny looked at her co-star.
"Not even remotely." Marcia laughed. "I can turn them on and off and maybe do some basic stuff that is not playing a video game but that's it. I barely understand any of that technical gibberish I have to say."
"Then props to you for always delivering the lines the way you do." Penny was impressed.
"I heard you did a course for spy training, is that true?" Marcia asked.
"Yeah, did that." Penny nodded. "I wanted to do the best job possible."
After lunch, they spent the rest of the afternoon with rehearsing some of their scenes, playing them out while reading from their scripts in their hands just to get a feel for what they had to do later. Just from doing it, Penny realized the difference of making a movie compared to a TV show. In the movie script, there was the beginning, the middle and the end and while they had the same with the episodes, it also had an overarching arc that they wouldn't play out in a single episode.
After a few hours of this, Annabel announced the end of the rehearsals and sent everyone home so the crew could begin construct the actual sets where they would film a lot of the scenes. Penny got into her car and drove home. Before she could exit her car, she received a message from Amy on her phone, her friend asking if she could swing by for advice on dresses for a date she would have this evening.
Penny quickly acquiesced since she wanted information on that mystery man and shot a message to Bernadette to come by her place as well. Since Howard would be with the guys anyway, she could even join her in drinking wine. Finally, Penny walked up the stairs and found Leonard in her apartment, holding a rose.
"Hey." she smiled at him and gave him a kiss. "What's the occasion."
"I just came here to ask if you wanted to go to the movies with me tonight." he smiled back.
"Aw, that's so sweet, I'd love to." she felt touched at his gallantry. "What are we watching?"
"A documentary about aluminum can recycling." he said proudly.
"Oh." Penny felt immediate disappointment. "Fine."
"You can at least fake some enthusiasm, I thought you were an actress." he winked.
"Shut up, be happy that I come with you at all." she rolled her eyes. "Now scram, the girls are coming over soon and I still need to take a shower."
"I could take one with you." he suggested.
"No, if you did that, we'd spent way too much time having sex under it." she giggled. "Later tonight, though."
"Holding you to that, you promised me a sloppy blowjob."
"Sloppy?" she did a double take. "I said blowjob, never sloppy."
"We'll talk." he winked back and turned to leave.
"We're going to do sixty-nine, I doubt you'll have the chance to talk." she poked out her tongue at him and then playfully pushed him out of the apartment.
She took a quick shower and got dressed in some fresh clothing before heading to her kitchen and choosing a bottle of white wine to open later. A few minutes later, Bernadette arrived, shortly followed by Amy. Penny opened the bottle and handed a glass to Bernadette, Amy declining it.
"So, I have brought three dresses." Amy said. "Is it okay if I used your bedroom to change?"
"Yeah." Penny nodded.
"Has she told you about her mystery date?" Bernadette asked her.
"No, nothing really." Penny shook her head.
"So, what do you think?" Amy asked them after a few minutes.
"Oh no." Penny shook her head again upon seeing that dress.
"Okay." Amy accepted and went back into the bedroom to change again, returning three minutes later.
"Jesus, no!" Bernadette gasped when she saw what hideous piece of fabric Amy had chosen.
"Penny?" Amy looked at her friend who also shook her head. "Okay."
"Jeez, that second one looked as if she found it in some dumpster that designers in training use to throw away what they ruined."
"I'm finished." Amy called out from the bedroom. "I don't know though."
"Come on, Amy, show us the dress." Penny yelled.
"Okay. But I'm really stepping outside of my comfort zone here." Amy said and came out of the bedroom, wearing a dress that went below her knees, showing really nothing.
"Uh, I don't think any of your comfort zones are showing." Penn commented.
"Yeah, it's your third date, maybe you could go more sexy." Bernadette suggested.
"Well, some people think the sexiest organ is the brain." Amy argued.
"No one ever bought me drinks at a bar because my brain just popped out of my shirt." Penny retorted, remembering the times before Leonard.
"Do you have any heels higher than this?" Amy asked while taking off her own heels. "He's pretty tall."
"Ooh, tall." Bernadette cooed. "Finally some details about this mystery man."
"Yeah, come on, tell us more." Penny prodded.
"Well, I told you his name and that he's tall. What more do you need?" Amy hesitated.
"Did you kiss him yet?" Bernadette grinned.
"Just a little peck on the lips." Amy shrugged, making the other two girls squeal like teenage girls.
"Well, we're your best friends, give us one more detail and we promise we'll leave you alone." Penny offered.
"Fine. Um, he's British." Amy told them. "All right, that is a juicy one."
"All right, where is tall British Dave taking you?" Penny asked.
"Tea and basketball?" Bernadette joked.
"To that new Italian place on Walnut." Amy told them. "I'm gonna go look for other shoes."
"Good luck. I threw out all my tall ones when I married Leonard." Penny smiled, still feeling a bit sore about all those holes in her shoe cabinet.
"Hey, you want to swing by that place tonight and get a look at this guy?" Bernadette asked after Amy had gone to the bedroom again.
"We don't even know what time they're gonna be there." Penny argued.
"I'll just call the restaurant, pretend I'm Amy and check the reservation." Bernadette shrugged.
"Damn, you're sneaky." Penny gave her a grin.
"Yeah, but I'm little, so it's adorable." Bernadette justified it.
"Yeah, you really don't have any higher heels." Amy noted as she came out of the apartment again, carrying a bag with the other two dresses she had chosen not to wear.
"Amy, are you going to have sex with him?" Penny asked. "It's the third date after all."
"Why is the third date so important?" Amy wondered. "Did you sleep with Leonard after your third date? Or what about you, Bernadette, did you sleep with Howard after your third?"
"Well, I slept with Leonard the night that I met him before we were even together." Penny shrugged.
"It took longer for me and Howard, but that's really more due to his mother interrupting us constantly when we were at his place." Bernadette shrugged. "But normally, third date is normally the charm."
"Why is that though?" Amy wanted to know.
"I can't really say, I usually slept with guys after one date." Penny sighed.
"It's a progression." Bernadette explained. "When you go out with someone you haven't known before, the first date is basically an interview where you learn about the other person."
"That's a neat way to put it." Amy admitted.
"The second date is then for finding out if you even have the personal chemistry for a relationship." Bernadette continued. "And on the third date, it's time to seal the deal, so to speak, also because by the third date, you know if you want to be with that person."
"Except if the sex is so bad that no amount of personal chemistry can balance that." Penny threw in. "A friend of mine in high school was chased by a member of the football team, he took her out three times, they had sex but apparently, he was a one pump chump."
"Well, I don't think it will happen tonight." Amy said. "Alright, I gotta go, we'll meet in an hour."
"Bye Ames." Penny shouted after her as her friend left.
"Alright." Bernadette emptied her glass and grabbed her phone dialing a number. "Good afternoon, this is Amy Farrah-Fowler speaking. I would like to check my reservation for tonight... uh hu... okay, thank you."
"So?" Penny looked at her.
"Six-thirty." Bernadette smiled and got up. "I got to get something first, you wanna drive with me?"
"No, I'll go to a movie tonight with Leonard, I'll join you." Penny said. "Walnut is not that far, I'll walk with Leonard."
"Okay, see you then."
Penny spent the time remaining with perusing her phone, looking online for shoes or clothing she could buy with her first paycheck. At some point, Leonard joined her, choosing to be with his wife instead of Sheldon who, according to him, had roped Howard and Raj into his scheme to find a woman to ignore.
"Alright, we need to leave." Penny said as she got up and walked out of the apartment.
"Why are we leaving so early for the movie?" Leonard asked.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you, we're gonna meet up with Bernadette to spy on Amy and her date." Penny grinned.
"What?" Leonard gasped. "I don't want to do that."
"And you think I want to see a documentary about aluminum can recycling?" Penny shot back.
"This is the movie that big soda doesn't want you to see." Leonard argued.
"No, it's the movie your wife doesn't want you to see." Penny retorted.
"So you're actually okay with invading your friend's privacy?" Leonard asked.
"You're not curious who she's out with?" Penny wondered.
"Not really." he shrugged.
"But you're curious about aluminum cans?" Penny pointed out. "You're a weird little guy."
"What if she sees us?" Leonard asked her.
"I doubt she will." Penny replied. "Now lets go."
"Why not take my car?"
"Because we're going to join Bernadette in hers." she told him. "Now come on, move those little feet."
Sighing, Leonard did as she asked, both holding hands as Penny almost pulled him towards their destination at a brisk pace. When they finally reached Walnut street, Leonard felt his feet burning, his shoes really not suited to walking such a pace for a prolonged amount of time. Penny looked for Bernadette's car and found it, increasing her pace to get into it.
"Hey." Penny got Bernadette's attention as she got into the car. "So, where are they?"
"Across the street, in the left window." Bernadette pointed.
"Oh, damn it, we should have brought binoculars." Penny said, squinting her eyes.
"Right here." Bernadette held a pair to her.
"You just happen to have those in the car?" Leonard was nonplussed.
"Kinda." Bernadette shrugged. "Before I met Howie, I liked to keep close tabs on my boyfriends."
"By stalking them?" Leonard was disbelieving.
"No, stalkers are creepy." Bernadette said. "I'm just a harmless little girl with military-grade spy equipment."
"Oh, there he is." Penny finally found them through the binoculars.
"He's cute, right?" Bernadette smiled.
"Can I see?" Leonard asked.
"What, now you're interested? You didn't even want to come." Penny pointed out.
"I know, but you guys make being a crappy friend look fun." Leonard chuckled.
"Fine." Penny rolled her eyes and handed him the binoculars.
"Yeah, okay, I see him." Leonard commented. "It looks like they're having a nice time. I wish I could hear what they're saying."
"Yeah, I should've brought my parabolic microphone." Bernadette said to herself.
"Your what?" Penny wanted to know.
"Nothing. Not important." Bernadette quickly said.
"He really seems into her." Penny commented when the man leaned forward and rested his head on his crossed fingers.
"I took a video. I forgot how much fun this is." Bernadette grinned.
"Okay, we saw them." Leonard said. "Can we go catch the movie?"
"Why'd you bring him?" Bernadette grumbled.
"I had to, we're married now." Penny joked but reached behind her to squeeze his knee.
"Ugh, I hear that." Bernadette nodded.
For quite a while, they kept watching, Bernadette even trying unsuccessfully to read lips whenever Dave talked. Whenever Penny watched them, she noticed that Amy seemed a little exasperated at whatever Dave was saying, making her even more curious about what he was saying.
"Are we gonna be much longer?" Leonard asked after a while. "I really have to go to the bathroom."
"Right here." Bernadette handed him an empty bottle of window washer.
"You're kidding, right?"
"It's either that, or you find some wall, or snort it up and spit it out the window." Bernadette said.
"Fine." Leonard sighed and took the bottle before leaving the car.
"Amy looks tired." Penny said.
"Hey, hey, they're leaving." Bernadette became panicky when she saw a waiter approaching the table and Dave paying the bill.
"What? Here, give me, give me." Penny became agitated as well and took the binoculars. "Oh, my God. Oh, my God, they're coming right towards us."
"We got to get out of here." Bernadette almost shrieked and put the seat belt on.
"Wait, what about Leonard?" Penny asked.
"He and his tiny bladder can take the bus." growled and started the car, only to reverse it into the one behind her.
"Oh, no." Penny sighed and got out of the car, Bernadette right behind her.
"She just hit my car." an approaching Dave said, Penny realizing for the first time that was indeed very tall.
"What are you guys doing here?" Amy asked them.
"Hi, Ames, what are you doing here?" Bernadette smiled innocently.
"What happened?" a returning Leonard saved them from having to figure out an explanation.
"O-M-G." Dave gasped loudly and leaned down to be on Leonard's eye level. "Aren't you Leonard Hofstadter?"
"Yeah." Leonard confirmed, albeit with some hesitation.
"I saw you speak at Stanford with Sheldon Cooper." Dave said happily. "Amy, can you believe it? It's Dr. Leonard Hofstadter."
"No. Pinch me." Amy deadpanned.
"It's an absolute pleasure to meet you." Dave smiled widely. "Can I shake your hand?"
"I don't know if you want to do that, I was just..." Leonard began to explain that he got pee on his hand but Dave suddenly grabbed his hand. "Okay, never mind."
"Amy, I'm never washing this hand again." Dave acted like a teenage girl meeting her music idol.
"You really should." Leonard felt disgussted.
"Bernadette, can you drive a bit forward so we can see the damage?" Penny asked. "And then put the car into reverse."
"Okay." Bernadette replied dejectedly and rolled the car a few feet forward before turning it into reverse as Penny has asked her to do.
"Doesn't look that bad." Penny said when she looked at Dave's car in the bright glow of the reverse lights. "No dents, just a scratch in the paint."
"I'm so excited at having met Doctor Hofstadter, I won't even call my insurance." Dave was still excited like a child.
"I will talk to you later." Amy pointed at the group.
"Don't look at me, I wanted to go to the movies." Leonard lifted his hands in surrender.
"Traitor." Bernadette grumbled.
"Well, you two have a fun rest of the evening, Leonard and I have a movie to catch." Penny grinned and quickly grabbed Leonard's arm.
"Traitor!" Bernadette yelled after them as they quickly walked away.
"We might as well go home again." Leonard told her. "We missed the movie anyway."
"I'm sorry." she apologized.
"No, you're not." he chuckled. "But it's okay, saves me from the torture."
"What are you talking about?" she wondered.
"The documentary about cans was just a joke, you really think a movie theater shows this kind of crap?" he laughed. "I had actually reserved tickets for some romantic comedy they're showing to surprise you."
"Oh man!" she whined.
"You wanna do something else tonight?" he asked.
"No, it's a weekday and I have to go to the studio again tomorrow." she shook her head. "Lets just get some takeout, then we go home and eat it and then you can eat me out while I give you that sloppy blowjob you were asking for."
"Oh, lets." Leonard got a glint in his eyes and increased his walking speed.
