In a moment for the history books, or at the very least his journal, Ianto Jones was leaving the hub when it was still light outside. Or at least he was well on his way to, if he could make his way past a particularly needy immortal, who was currently trailing behind him like a puppy while he pottered around the hub doing his last-minute checks. Dashing leader as he was to the rest of the world, apparently behind closed doors he was not above pathetically begging the Welshman to stay.

"Please?"

"Jack"

"Pretty please?" he pouted, going so far as to flutter his eyelashes. Ianto reached for his weekend bag that he'd brought with him into work, anticipating a mad dash straight to the train station after some alien-based emergency. But the rift had been on his side today, everyone had taken a well-earned early finish and now Ianto was on his way out too, until Jack snaked the bag out of his hand and hid it behind his back.

"Don't be a child" he said, attempting to reach the bag while Jack danced it out of the way with a grin,

"Oh you won't be saying that if you stay, I have some very adult things I'd like to do to you"

To punctuate his point, he dropped the bag with a muffled thud and wrapped his arms around Ianto's waist, pressing their bodies together as he peppered kisses along the other mans jawline. Ianto let him continue his path for a few seconds before pulling away with a reluctant groan.

"Jack you know I have to go, its my cousins wedding and my sisters going to kick my arse if I bail on it"

"I know but I don't want you to go" Jack sulked childishly, keeping a firm grip on Ianto's hand,

"its only two nights"

"two nights too many" he grumbled, linking his fingertips with Ianto's possessively,

Ianto rolled his eyes, "should be flattered you're kicking up such a fuss I suppose"

"where is it again, somewhere with a whole lot of consonants in it"

"Machynlleth"

"bless you"

"shut up" Ianto nudged him playfully, "Mid Wales is all you need to know"

"hmm ok" Jack said "you'll hurry back though? We'll miss you around here"

"You'll miss the coffee"

"I wont lie that is a concern" Jack mused "But no I'll… I'll miss you" he murmured, suddenly serious.

Ianto met his eyes with a nervous smile "Yes Sir, I'll hurry back"

"Good" Jack pulled the other man to him for a proper kiss, holding him close. Ianto deepened the kiss much to Jack's surprise, letting them get lost in eachother for a few minutes before Ianto pulled back, resting his forehead against Jack's as they caught their breath.

"Ok get out of here before I change my mind" Jack ordered, reluctantly allowing Ianto out of his arms so he could retrieve his things.

Ianto gave a mock salute before hurrying through the cog door. Jack watched after him fondly before heading back to his office, deciding that if he had two nights without Ianto then he may as well get the huge backlog of paperwork done. It would be a nice surprise for the Welshman to come home and find out he did actually get work done sometimes.

Ianto smiled to himself as he headed out of the tourist office and into the cool air of the bay. He headed up the steps and paused to lean over the railings, looking out to the calm sea just for a moment before he'd set off for his train. He loved the rare moments that he could stop and enjoy the sunset, there were far too little of those in the life of a Torchwood employee. Not that he'd give it up for the world, but there were always the little things. Having this view, the evening sunlight glistening over the water as it rippled gently in the breeze, reminded him just what he was working for.

"Ianto Jones"

A voice brought him out of his reverie, and he looked round to see a woman stood next to him. She was beautiful, with dark flowing hair and green eyes, probably approaching 50 but clearly still at the top of her game. She pulled her light trench coat around her as she crossed her arms, highlighting her trim figure,

"Can I help you?" Ianto asked politely, perplexed as to how she knew his name but a perfect gentleman nonetheless,

"You could say that" the woman grinned and there was a glint of something evil lurking behind it. Ianto stiffened, his training telling him this was someone to be wary of. His body language switched to that professional preparedness he had mastered. He thought about reaching for his coms, to alert Jack to at least check the cameras that continuously recorded the areas around the hub, before internally cursing himself for leaving it behind.

"Who are you?"

"No one" she replied, "at least not to him. You on the other hand..."

Before Ianto could question what she meant, he felt a sharp jab in his neck as someone injected him from behind. He crumpled to the floor, the strong sedative rendering him immediately unconscious. The beast of a man behind him scooped him up off the floor with an almost inhuman ease, carrying him off to a dark van they'd subtly parked nearby, grinning evilly at the woman as he passed. She nodded to him, watching them go for a moment before turning her attention to the huge shining tower above her, knowing there'd be cameras watching their every move, even if they weren't currently manned she was counting on them being picked up some point soon.

"Jack Harkness, you took everything from me" she looked up at the water tower menacingly, "I'm going to make sure you get everything you deserve"
