In a realm distant from the universe of humans was a colorful land.

One full of fantasy, magic, and mystical creatures.

Faeland.

It was the home of many creatures, like fairies, mermaids, elves and pixies. In the heart of Faeland was Pixie Kingdom, home of the Faelandian Fairy King, Queen and Princess.

Pixie Kingdom Castle housed a very special flower, it was unique, and the only one of its kind.

Faeflower. Its origin unknown to all Faelandians, it had the power to produce a powerful form of magic from its petals.

Fae Dust, a raw form of Fairy Energy which strengthened its user's magical powers.

One day, a foreign ruler of a distant island wished to form an alliance with the King of Faeland. The King thanked him for his offer and wished that his kingdom and the stranger's powers would unite for the safety of Faeland and its people.

But the stranger had other plans. He wished to steal the Faeflower and take its power for himself.

When the news broke out, a battle between Pixie Kingdom and the man's army, which rose from the Dungeon Island, surged. The King went missing in the midst of the fight. Such conclusion caused great turmoil in Faeland.

To protect the Faeflower and Faeland itself, the Queen took the King's mantle and responsibility to care for all of Faeland's inhabitants.

As a miracle to help protect its citizens, the Faeflower shone a bright light. It granted the Faelandian Queen with a once dormant power...

...the power of the legendary warriors.

Precure.

As Cure Voyage, the Queen fought the forces of the Dungeon Island with utmost power, grace and strength. She purified many minions that served the army. They were influenced by the power of Dungeon Energy.

Dungeonborgs. Mindless dark servants born from objects, they could be identified by the black icosahedral gem in their chests, which were the vessels of the Dungeon Energy bestowed upon them.

The evil that tormented the land was then defeated thanks to the Queen's miraculous power over wind and magic. The stranger was caged and sealed away in the depths of Dungeon Island, and Faeland's peace overflowed.

The Queen returned to her duty to safeguard Faeland from Pixie Kingdom Castle. The future of Faeland looked bright.

Seven years passed. In all those years the Queen assigned her best knights to search for the King, to no avail. The citizens created an initiative to search for the King across all of Faeland, but unfortunately, no one found him.

The Queen, although strong of character, was sad at heart. She missed her beloved and wished upon the Faeflower that one day her King could be found.

"Please, Faeflower, give us another miracle!" The Queen cried. "May our King be found!"

And then, one day, the Faeflower shone a light like never before. It was time for the mantle of the Precure to be passed down to the Princess of Faeland, Senki Fae Hanaoka.

This happened on the Princess' 14th birthday.

The Queen understood the Faeflower's request and acknowledged that Senki would become a very special Precure.

By order of the Queen, a special ceremony took place in the castle. All of Faeland was invited to attend!

In the ceremony, Princess Senki was gifted with a pouch of Fae Dust produced by the Faeflower, as well as particular items to transform.

The Treasure Pact, Treasure Key, and a set of tokens called PreCoins.

Senki was destined to become Faeland's next defender, the one to rescue the Faelandian King and restore the peace of Faeland.

The spirit of adventure, Cure Venture.

Upon receiving the mantle and items, an invasion suddenly took place in the throne room. Windows were shattered, and six outlaws broke into Pixie Kingdom Castle.

They were the Pirate, Jester, Rogue, Brawler, Alchemist and Sorceress.

They imprisoned everyone inside cold cages, their bodies unconscious.

The Queen of Faeland intervened to protect Senki, but was imprisoned in a Cage of Gloom, just like the rest of the people in the castle.

"Mother!"

Princess Senki transformed into Cure Venture to save her mother, using her Fairy Energy to purify the Dungeonborgs that the Outlaws summoned.

The vast usage of Dungeon Energy was able to set their leader free from the seal that the Queen created seven years ago.

Tengoku arrived at the castle to confront the Faelandian Princess himself.

"So, this is Faeland's new defender? A mere child?" He taunted with a grin and a sinister chuckle.

"Haaaaa!" Cure Venture lunged at him with a strongly clenched fist, but Tengoku deflected her attack with a shield.

As her fist clashed with the shield, lightning sparked.

"Ngh!"

Dungeon Energy was the complete opposite of Fairy Energy. While Fairy Energy boosted the powers of a Precure, Dungeon Energy weakened it.

Tengoku smirked. "Tired, little one?" He then cackled. "Heheheheh! This will be like child's play! The Faeflower will soon be mine, and I will be the next KING of Faeland!"

Summoning more power, the shield exploded, pushing Venture backwards.

"Aaah!"

His power was too strong, so much that two of four of Cure Venture's PreCoins were destroyed in the process.

One remained intact, while the other had scratches in it, about to break.

Tengoku slowly paced towards the princess.

"Accept it, little princess. You have lost."

Despite falling, Cure Venture did not admit defeat. She slowly stood on her feet, clenching her teeth and grunting. Even if her limbs seared, even if she was unable to fight, even if her own wings failed her, her spirit never wavered. She was ever so brave and strong, just like her mother.

"An adventurer... never gives up!"

"Cure Venture!"

In the blink of an eye, a barrier of water separated the Outlaws from their leader, and falling lightning struck Tengoku, stunning him.

"Graaah!"

Upon looking up, he saw two other warriors arriving at the scene.

Cure Paladin, the knight appointed by the Queen to protect the Princess of Faeland.

And Cure Ranger, the Princess' royal advisor and daughter of the Chief of the Faelandian Royal Assembly.

"Cure Venture, please leave this to us!" Exclaimed the concerned Cure Paladin.

"No..."

A shimmering gold token rested in Cure Venture's palm.

It was the intact PreCoin.

"I have no choice but to use it..."

"The Max PreCoin?!" Cure Ranger gasped.

Opening the Treasure Pact with the Key, Cure Venture chanted...

"Dice Roll! Session Start!

PreCoin Insert! Max!"

Then, she placed the Max PreCoin in the space below the D20 dice in the pact and rolled the dice, a number 20 appeared in magical light.

With Fae Dust in her hands, she summoned a magic wand.

"Come forth, Crystal Tact!"

With a firm posture, Cure Venture was prepared to put an end to Tengoku's scheme.

"Princess!" Cure Ranger called. "You know what could happen if you use Max Power unprepared! You're not ready for this!

The PreBoard and the remaining Precure have not yet been found!"

Cure Paladin rested a hand on Venture's shoulder.

"Princess Senki, please listen. This is not like your usual adventures."

A lump grew in the knight's throat, and a tear streamed down her eyes.

"You could lose yourself! Are you willing to risk that and summon such uncontrollable power?!"

Closing her eyes, Senki responded.

"I was given Fairy Energy and the power of the legendary Precure to protect Faeland. Max Power should be able to seal Tengoku and his power away once more."

The Princess, who turned to the knight, smiled.

"So, Paladin, it's time I do this for everyone. As princess of this kingdom, and as the adventurer I am, it is my honor and duty.

If I lose myself, I wish to at least remember this moment.

I'm sure that with time, I'll remember everything else!"

Paladin blinked. "Cure Venture..."

She thought of the princess' words. She swore to the Faelandian King and Queen that she would always look after Princess Senki.

Holding her arm against her chest, Cure Paladin's sadness changed to determination.

"You will not be lost! I will find and protect you! Reina and I will always stand with you!"

"That's right." Cure Ranger walked to the other Cure's side. "Us Faelandians always stand together. We will lend you our help whenever you need it, Princess."

Princess Senki's smile widened.

"Ranger... Paladin...

...thank you."

Turning to their enemy, Cure Venture held out the Crystal Tact.

"Now... let's end this once and for all!

Everyone, lend me your powers!"

Cure Paladin and Cure Ranger brought forth all of their powers to merge with Cure Venture's.

"Max Paladin Power!"

"Max Ranger Power!"

Their powers merged within Venture's Crystal Tact, and three lights shone. Pink, blue and purple.

"Precure! Epic Maximum Finale!"

The following blast was so strong that the ground shook. Tengoku retaliated with his own power, but the power of the Precure overcame such obstacle.

However, Max Power used all of the Fairy Energy at the Princess' disposal, affecting her strength.

The Max PreCoin flew out of the Pact, and her form turned back to normal.

In one final blast, Tengoku disappeared, and a Fae Portal opened behind Princess Senki moments before she passed out.

"Princess!"

Tengoku and his powers were sealed away once more. The six Outlaws retreated from the castle as well.

Cure Venture's power saved Faeland and released the Queen and everyone in the castle from the Cages of Gloom.

As a consequence of using Max Power without counting on the power of all nine Precure, Cure Venture's Fairy Energy malfunctioned, and consequently, she lost her memories.

The Fae Portal ultimately sent the Princess to a realm far away from Faeland.

Earth.

She lost her Precure form as well as the Treasure Pact, Key and PreCoins, as she fell into the portal.

"The Treasure Pact and Key are not lost. They will find their way to the Princess upon her awakening."

Those were the words of the Queen. She was able to open another Fae Portal, entrusting Cure Paladin with the Fae Pad, a device capable of creating Fae Portals with the required amount of Fae Dust.

Before departing, Paladin heard more words from the Queen.

"Tengoku and his powers have been sealed, but I'm afraid Senki's Fairy Energy is not strong enough. He might return if his own power strengthens. But should darkness rise once more, nine legendary warriors will bring Faeland back to its former glory.

I shall now assign you with a mission.
