A year and a half has gone by, since the attack on the Citadel. Team RWBY and the crew of the Normandy suffer a tragedy. Ending in the loss of many lives. Awakened now a few years later. The girls of team RWBY, Elizabeth Shepard and their new allies must fight against a threat. One even more dangerous then the last. This is their Rebirth into a new world of wonders and insanity.

5. Chapter 4

Hello, Hola, Bonjour, etc.!

Well, howdy there fellow readers. Been a bit and I do apologize for that, got busy with some of my other fics, busy with IRL, got into a bit of a game frenzy again after so long. In case you're curious it was Dead Rising 1-4 plus the Remaster and Space Marines 2. But that said I finally got this chapter all done with.

That said I did also decided to re-read my first story just to freshen up my mind at what wrote there, what I had planned and the tone at times. Never been the best with memory at certain points. But I think I got my groove back for the most part.

So, I won't bother much more up her on the top notes, bottom notes different story maybe. That explained enjoy the chapter my fellow writers and readers!

Waiting and waiting…

For Elizabeth Shepard that's what she was doing, waiting near the same area that she had given everyone the order to split up for the time before she called them in. Which she had only a minuet ago. Still, she was glad that she had taken the time to do so. For one reason because she realized she hadn't eaten since this started which had become apparent when she was leaving the docking bay after forming the team to go after Doctor Solus after the current mission.

So she stopped by the kitchen and had meet Gardener, a nice older man who also was rather an endearing fan of hers. Still he made her a quick dish of spaghetti which she ate quickly and loved every second of it. Though she did make note to meet the other crew members soon when she could. That said Elizabeth then quickly made her way off after and a few minutes later before heading back to the Afterlife to get the run down on how this whole merc thing was gonna work. After she had she even stopped a young man from joining and most likely getting himself killed by breaking his gun telling him to get a refund before walking off. So that made her feel good. Still now here she was outside waiting and waiting.

Well that and doing her best to ignored a few stares and mutters from citizens who had taken any notice of her. Elizabeth had a feeling that having time to reveal herself and her ahem… unique new team, alongside the girls would not be an option. No she had a feeling rumors would and were starting already about them from those who had spotted them of course. Thankfully she looked different..ish enough. That and for this mission had taken the human members only without realizing it. Lord knows how it would be once the much more stand out there members were seen. But oh well, if there was one thing Elizabeth was amazing at it was adapting to the situation at hand.

Anyways Elizabeth though having already done three missions by this point, one of them when she first woke up and had to fight her way out to NOT die alongside the girls. She was still a bit nervous and also giddy oddly. But then again it was more for her new teammates, the out of era ones as she could tell Zaeed who'd be with them and the girls would hold up since they were use to this era already even if for the girls it had been four years at max. But she did have faith in her new teammates that they could adapt quickly to their new surroundings.

Though Elizabeth realized she wouldn't have to wait much longer as she saw the first group come back. Being Ruby who now had what looked like a head band with red fake cat ears on them which made her ponytail style look even more adorable to her. Elizabeth almost started to gush about how adorable her younger daughter looked right now. But she was in public, that and Okita looked like she'd been… crying. She wouldn't ask though as the two move right up next to her seconds later.

"Hey mom. Guess we're the first ones here huh?" Ruby mused with a smile

"Heh yes you are. But ah… sweetie, what's with the headband?" Elizabeth asked as she really was curious on why the headband

"Well… I'll be honest here, I always have wondered what I'd look like with cat ears like Blake. So I saw this and bought it, even have a little fake tail that clips onto the bottom of my armor see." Ruby mused as she turned around showing a fake tail connected to her armor and that oddly was moving "Oh and it's I guess supposed to connect to your brain waves with mass effect fields or something like that so I can move it with my emotions. NYA!"

"Oh my god…Ruby, sweet pea…oh my gosh…." Elizabeth covering her face at how adorable her daughter was just now and the fact she had somehow made herself in a freaking neko. It was already much for the commander as her younger daughter was even doing a pawing motion like a cat as she said 'Nya' a few more times

"I know… I know Elizabeth…" Okita said feeling the same from cuteness overload "Worse is that she accidently bought from something called a… naughty booth without realizing…"

"W-What, did anyone… didn't you try stopping her?" Elizabeth questioned as she could not believe that… okay she could since she hated to admit but her daughter could be a bit oblivious at the worst of times

"I tried but couldn't… the store owner tried and even some creepy sex fiends that hung around there tried as we all felt… bad for Ruby. But could you honestly break it to such a cinnamon roll like her?!" Okita argued as she pointed to Ruby who was doing some more 'Nya' sounds and waving at people

"Hello strangers, nya!" Ruby cheered as some of the strangers who actually looked her way either feel over on their knees for a few seconds from cuteness overload, had a nosebleed or clutched their chests making a 'HHnnnggggg!' sound

"Okay… I get that. Okita, we must make a pack to never and I mean NEVER tell Ruby the truth about this." Elizabeth exclaimed in a very embarrassed and serious tone

"Agreed." Okita muttered. Before she took quick notice of Yang coming up and whoa... "Um Elizabeth. I don't remember Yang, Thorn and Fixer looking like that."

"What?" Elizabeth replied back confused before Okita pointed behind her. Elizabeth raised a brow before turning around right as her older daughter, Thorn and Fixer came up; and… "WHAT HAPPEN TO YOU THREE?"

To be exact what Elizabeth was looking at was Yang, Fixer and Thorn covered in what looked like dry Turian blood, their armor scuffed and all around looking like they just got out of a murder scene. The victorious smiles didn't really help with that image either. Well at least on her eldest daughter, who though was smiling victoriously also seemed nervous.

"W-Well ah… okay um.. ah mom, I know this looks bad." Yang started to say "But hear me out… we m-may have and I say MAY. I mean MAY have gotten into some local trouble?"

"Local trouble." Elizabeth asked deadpanned as she and Okita raised a brow as the dry Turian blood was kind of an indicator "Really, what kind?"

"Well um…." Yang tried to say before Fixer cut in

"Turian gang, one of theirs tried hitting on Yang. I broke his face plate with a punch then his crew attacked. Lots of blood and my vibro-blade is going to need cleaning." Fixer said in a matter of fact tone and oddly if not with some concern a hint of joy

"What, seriously?!" Elizabeth yelled again as she eyed Thorn

"Yeah… pretty much Commander. Pretty much." Thorn stated with a shrug

"Hey the heck guys. I thought you'd say you'd help with the cover story!" Yang whined angrily at her boys

"Sorry Yang. But your mother is the Boss-Boos here and were not…" Thorn said first before Fixer finished for him

"Suicidal. We've barley know your mother and we can already tell lying to her is not good for our health or sanity." Fixer stated before looking to Elizabeth "No offense Commander."

"None taken. That said, Yang we're having a talk about this later understood?" Elizabeth stated as she sighed before giving her eldest daughter a pointed stare

"Yes mom…" Yang groaned as she couldn't blame her boys for not wanting to lie to her mom for her, her mom was scary when mad. Though she noticed Ruby wasn't with her or Okita "Hey where's Ruby?"

"Look behind us… just ah, be… prepare is all." Okita answered this time as Elizabeth covered her face again

"Huh, why would I need to…BLURG!" Yang started to ask confused as she, followed by Thorn and Fixer moved to look around Elizabeth and when they did they saw Ruby doing cat like waves to people while still saying 'Nya'. Yang's response was obvious as she fell to her knees now covering her face "Oh… oh my gosh… my baby sister is so….adorable!"

"Hmmm… that was… something." Thorn muttered keeping his calm the best he could as he was never one to find things cute or adorable. But Ruby he now fully believed was too pure this galaxy. He then looked over to Fixer with his arms crossed "Well ah... ahem. Good to know you weren't affected."

"Course. Nothing gets to me Thorn, nothing." Fixer answered as a trickle of blood came down from under his helmet all of sudden followed by a sniffle

"Um… Fixer, is that-" Thorn asked before Fixer cut him off

"NOTHING, got to me." Fixer reiterated as clearly as he could as Thorn raised a brow from under his helmet. But let it be for now, sides this was too good to not tease about on a later time and date. Fixer meanwhile looked to the girls "You all good now?"

"Yes… yes we are Fixer." Okita answered as Yang had gotten back on her knees by this time

"Totally. I just worry what will happen when Weiss gets here." Yang stated as she had taken a good few deep breaths to get her cool back

"And why would that be?" Weiss asked as everyone looked to the same direction as before seeing Weiss, Rin who was happily patting her holstered predator pistol and Zaeed who looked equally proud for some reason

"Oh ah Weiss. Um ah, ice sis whatever you don't … NO WAIT!" Yang tried to answer before it was too late. But she was too slow as Weiss quickly took notice of her wife. Zaeed and Rin seconds later and though the two adults were calm about Ruby's current cat girl act for different reasons. Weiss well…

"HOLY SON OF DUST REAPER. MY HOT WIFE IS A HOT CAT GIRL… GRAHHH!" Weiss screamed as she spotted her basically wife acting like an adorable cat girl. Which only added to her cuteness and also had made Weiss fall on her knees now covering her nose as a literal near river of blood blew out from the sheer cuteness overload that Ruby gave her

"Holy shit you okay scar face?!" Zaeed surprised yet again today asked as he and Rin knelt down near Weiss who was dripping blood from her nose still blushing madly at how embarrassing this was now also alongside her Ruby being way too cute at the moment

"Yeah Zaeed I don't think that's the right question to ask. Also what's with the dry Turian blood on your face?" Yang questioned as the others wondered too now

"We'd ask you the same Yang. But if you must know, this guy here slit the throat of a gang leader of Turians who were trying to extort us for credits. We had to run and hide." Rin answered calmly as Zaeed groaned not having wanted to be outed like that

"Oh for the love of… please, please tell me that was it?" Elizabeth asked as she did her best to ignore her younger daughter going overboard with how much 'Nya's' and now even 'Meows!' she was saying. She really hoped no one was recording this and she was gonna also have to have a talk with her younger daughter about not drawing attention after this mission

"Ehhh…." Rin and Zaeed groaned some as Elizabeth's eye twitched while the others opted to stay quiet

"What is it now?" Elizabeth asked in a slightly exasperated tone

"You aren't going to like it." Weiss suddenly said as she looked back up to her now, her nose still covered a bit in blood but it stopped as she'd gotten herself under control "Best way to put it Elizabeth is that Zaeed decided to help Rin shoot a gun properly."

"Which is good, because Rin you really needed to get to using a gun." Elizabeth stated kindly if not with some firmness

"I know…" Rin muttered as she knew that fact even if she didn't want to admit it

"Anyways. All I will say is that Rin may and when I say may. I mean DID. But she accidently shot her first bullet to the side a little too much and it ah… hit a hovercar engine, which then crashed into three more hover cars. Then five… then thirteen… then twenty plus one ice cream hovercar." Weiss explained on listing the damage as Rin groaned from the embarrassment of that while Zaeed tried to not laugh as he at least found it amusing

"Oh my god… Rin. I was hoping you'd be the responsible one here. Why you let me down girl, WHY?" Elizabeth groaned in dread as she looked like she'd aged a thousand years from the news alone

"I am. But I just had a bad shot at first. If it makes you feel better I didn't cause any more damage after and got a ninety-nine percent accuracy rate." Rin tried to reassure as Elizabeth raised her brow again

"That's good, I'm sure the most likely critically injured or dead will be happy to hear that Rin." Fixer bluntly chimed in as Rin slumped down a bit at the jab

"You're not helping Fixer, also that was pretty mean." Okita scolded her comrade

"I know." Fixer simply mused shrugging as Okita at least sighed

"Shit's and giggles done with. Maybe we should get little red to stop acting like a sideshow." Zaeed suggested as everyone looked to Ruby now dancing like a cat and well… others just staring at her oddly or recording her while staring at her oddly

"Nya, nya, nya, nya. Meow, wow, wow, Meow!" Ruby cheered like a cat as again people by this point were either staring at her like she's a crazy woman or recording her while staring her like she's a crazy woman

"Daddy is that woman okay?" A human child asked as she held he held his father's hand

"No…no she isn't son. Walk away slowly son… very slowly." The father answered as he began to walk away slowly eyeing Ruby as a freak while the son just followed his father's footsteps while staring at the odd lady

"Yeah… we should. Thankfully Blake isn't here, I dunno how she'd take what Ruby's doing." Elizabeth agreed as she sighed once more rubbing her eyes also a few seconds after

"You mean the fact that none of you have stopped my future sister in law from making a fool of herself and the fact that it's kinda racist?" Blake suddenly said as everyone turned to see her staring at them with a deadpanned look and a bit irked, Helena and Emile looking at Ruby oddly like many others

"Dear heavens that young lady, barely known her and I can already tell she's a bit more on the childish side." Helena muttered rubbing the bridge of her nose like a disappointed grandmother

"That's Ruby for you Helena, we all love her but I swear at times…" Blake replied back sighing herself as she already knew she was gonna have to be the one to get Ruby to stop this

"Seriously the fuck did we walk into?" Emile questioned as this was… not a normal op already and this just added to that. He got a slight smack on the arm by Helena as the spartan looked down at her with his own deadpanned gazed under his helmet "Really?"

"ANYWAYS…. sorry just ah… it kind of feels like kicking a puppy if we told her to stop." Elizabeth tried to explain as she sighed again at that

"Well good thing I'm a cat. Now I must crush the dreams of this puppy!" Blake stated as she already was walking over to Ruby while the other waited

"So… that aside. You all ready, this will our first mission-mission so I need to know is all." Elizabeth asked though didn't mention Blake, Yang or Weiss since she already knew they were at least

"I think I can answer for us all when I say that we're all as ready as can be. We're at your lead Elizabeth." Rin answered for her and the others who all just nodded, some more eager for the killing while some were just seemed to be calming last minuets nerves

"Good. Good." Elizabeth said as she eyed Blake now who was scolding Ruby. Ruby herself was seeming pouty and guilty as Blake scolded her. Though that did bring a bit of amusement to her at some kind of normalcy here

Still Elizabeth couldn't help but feel as if things were going to go south one way or another. But she wasn't surprised much if that was the case, if anything she was actually looking forward to it.

It had been a quick if not cramped ride…

That was the initial thoughts of the group as they walked out of the one hover car that they had been made to take. Ruby letting Weiss sit on her lap, Yang doing the same with Yang while Elizabeth sat on Zaeed's lap much to the older man's rare moment of uneasy which got some amusement out from Elizabeth at least.

Still Emile had been made into Helena's seat as she sat on his lap much to the armored man's slight irritation that she kept doing this so far. That and the fact at least when it came to Helena so far, Emile was too nice in his own way to tell her 'No'. Damn his soft spot for kids, or in this case grannies who had the shape of a young girl. After that Rin was taking up the rest of the seat as she refused to sit on anyone's lap not her husbands. Which made Thorn and Fixer sit on the ground of the car much to their grumbling annoyance.

But after all of that and some small talk for about ten minutes at least. They had landed and made their way out. The group, grouping up behind Elizabeth and the girls. Before they took noticed of a Batarain in Blue Sun armor. From what they had been told this must be Salkie. The guy who was supposed to greet them before they ventured into the war zone against Archangel. Which occurred moments later as the Batarain walked over to them.

"Well when I got the call I didn't believe it. But seems like they finally sent some people who look like know how to fight. Let me ask though, got a clear idea on what we're going up against?" Salkie asked as everyone just let Elziabeth and the girls speak for them; though if they had anything to say they would

"Aside from the basics mister and from what my mom experienced with the vagueness with your recruiter. Not really, mind filling us in with that info please and thank you." Ruby replied back in a professional tone, though it was hard still to sound intimidating since even her mature voice had a hint of childlike innocent to it. Salkie just raise a brow before answering

"Right... well first off that's on purpose, we wouldn't get many to sign up if they knew the truth." Salkie explained

"You mean that it's a one sided ass kicking?" Emile suddenly brought up as Salkie turned his focus over time him

"How would you-" Salkie began on the rather accurate answer there, then Emile cut him off

"Trust me, this armor I got ain't for show. I can tell by this point easily how a battle is going and by your posture, it's not in your favor ain't it?" Emile answered rather smugly and got a slight elbow to the side by Thorn to not antagonize their temporary allies already

"Smartass. Still a correct smartass at that. Archangel and his little friends he has left are held up in a building on the boulevard over yonder. They got a superior position and the only way through is on a very exposed bridge or an already dubbed suicide bridge." Salkie explained on

"And that would be more than enough for a one sided killing ground." Okita this time chimed on, before she quickly realized how rude that sounded even to their temporary allies here "Um, no offense."

"Hmf. No taken... mostly. Still you are right on that girl. But we've taken notice that at least the bastard Archangel is starting to get tried, making mistakes. So no worries on your end, we'll have him soon enough and his head and his friends head on a pike while we're at it. Heh." Salkie exclaimed in some amusement. The team kept a neutral face, though suddenly had a feeling this mission wouldn't be AS easy as they had anticipated

"Well sounds like you have quite a plan then. If you can humor us, would you tell us what you have planned. Even just a little." Blake asked with hint of mock admiration and to hopefully get a bit more intel before they had to proceed

"Simple really kid. We got a team waiting to infiltrate the base, problem is we need to draw the trio's fire away so they can move in." Salkie started to explain a bit

"Wait so you're telling us that we're the... distraction team?" Helena suddenly asked a bit peeved at that

"Well ain't that great. Fantastic... just FAN...tastic." Emile irritable grunted as he swore they better start shooting up these mercs soon

"Gotta agree with the kid, shit role to play here. Bloody damn shit heads." Zaeed exclaimed not very happy about this either

"For once I also agree. Basically we're sheep a slaughter. But what can you expect from mercs." Rin remarked angrily crossing her arms at the fact she and her team were gonna be bait basically

"Fourth that." Fixer and Thorn said at the same time, the two looking at each other at that occurring again today

"Enough. Like it or not this is our role. It's up to Lady Elizabeth and the girls on how we play those roles." Okita stated somewhat sternly before looking back at Salkie "But just to be clear. I detest this plan also."

"Noted don't care. Whining aside, yes you are our distraction team. A secondary one after the first team you'll meet up at the bridges entrance. You'll go out there, head straight over the bridge and keep Archangel busy so the infiltrate teams can sneak behind him. Don't worry though. You seem like you can all handle it." Salkie stated crossing her arms now "If you lot have any questions ask then now. If not get your ass over to Sergeant Cathka."

"Well ah, if don't mind me asking. But is the bridge the ONLY way there?" Ruby asked as she might as well

"Fraid so. Either Archangel or one of his two friends collapsed all other underground passageways and sealed the doors to the lower levels. Which is what our digging teams have been dealing with for a while now. It won't be longer until we they break through and we kill the pricks though. Still I'm hoping they get the gunship up again so they can kill them sooner and we can get out of here." Salkie explained "Any more questions?"

"Wait they're using a gunship to kill three people. Shit they must have you all by the balls." Emile mused and mocked as Salkie narrowed his four eyes which only made Emile chuckle some

"Funny... but yes they are and guess what. I can at least confirm that Archangel, that self-righteous asshole shot it down. He didn't destroy it, just knew where to hit the ship and clip its wings. Wasn't even a fair fight. For us at least." Salkie answered irked now at the mere fact that Emile had reminded him of how badly only three people were handing their backsides to them

"Fair fight right because a gunship is SO fair. Very, very fair. Sounds your just sore loser." Blake snipped back smirking a bit too "Guess you mercs aren't much to the hype huh?"

"Ha, nice one!" Emile for one in more kinder tone as he held his hand up for a high five as Blake high five him back

"You little bi... no. No." Salkie for a moment was about to scream and even attack Blake for the backhanded insult. But remembered her friends with her could probably kill him in mere seconds. So calming himself he did his best to stay civil "Scathing taunts and the shit aside. More questions, because I'll only answer one more before I want you humans out of my sight."

"Not like you're much to look at." Rin muttered as that a chuckle from Elizabeth, Emile, Thorn, Yang and Zaeed at least

"Actually if you don't mind me asking. Where is this infiltration team anyways. It would be good to us to know, so we can at least have a good idea when to take so we don't get our heads blow off." Weiss asked this time playing into the merc role the best she could, even if she found it uncouth to say the least

"They're waiting on the far side of the bridge itself and as close as they can be to Archangel's hideout without tipping him or his friends off. They were lucky to even get there thanks to the gunship before it got clipped. Anyways that why we need you freelancers to get your shit together and keep the prick busy." Salkie answered as he grumble some "Now if you don't mind just-"

"Wait!" Ruby cut in all of sudden "Look I know you said one question. But can I simply ask, but do you know anything about at least Archangel himself. Something if anything that the rumors don't tell?"

"Hm... nope sorry kid you're asking the wrong guy. I just do logistics. That said..." Salkie answered leaning a bit closer to the group, mainly Ruby though "All I can say about Archangel at least is that if any of us merc groups had a marksman like him on our side. We'd be unstoppable. But now we're just gonna string his and his little friends corpses, then drag them around for all to see. So, good enough of an answer human?"

"Yeah... thanks... jerk." Ruby replied back, though whispered the last part

"Good now just get out of here, head through the door and you'll find your way through. Oh an word of warning, you'll probably run into some of the others bosses. If so then don't be surprised if they don't like you freelancers much. Anyways enough talking, get going now." Salkie answered before moving over to a bench far enough away from earshot to rest his legs

"Well wasn't he a ray of sunshine." Fixer said after opting to stay quiet before

"Yes if you considered a ray of sunshine to a ugly frog." Okita exclaimed "Which is why I decided to stay quiet also."

"Good call." Elizabeth praised "Anyways, guess we should make our way off now. That said, if anyone here sees something we can use to our advantage. Hack it or break it understood?"

"Actually Commander I don't think you'll need to worry about that. Seems like our... employer's from when we woke up added a few additions to my armor at least. One being remote hacking." Fixer in a rare moment of some excitement in his tone stated

"Oh... oh, haha. I got an idea where this is going, do tell what you did." Weiss mused smirking as the girls at least smirked too getting a good idea on what Fixer did

"Roger that Weiss. Heh, if you must know I hacked their systems. A lot of systems." Fixer mused giddy a bit now

"When you say hack, what do you mean exactly by that?" Okita asked curiously though trying not to chuckle at how this had just happened right under the merc bands noses

"Well first off I hacked their accounts. Took some... credits for us and our future uses." Fixer started off

"Sweet." Helena simply stated as the others all agreed on that

"Second, took another portion of their credits and sent them off too some rather fund needed organizations." Fixer list off once more

"Organization as in...?" Blake questioned curiously

"Well...ahem, you know. An orphanage here, school funding... charities...debt payments." Fixer for once shyly answered as he rubbed the back of his helmet seeming a bit embarrassed admitting to it. Didn't help when the women at least smirked at him. Emile and Thorn probably were too but their helmets covered their faces. Zaeed seemed to pay no mind to it either way though

"D'aw, Fixer your so much nicer then you show off!" Ruby cheered as she gave the Commando a hug " Good job buddy!"

"Ahem...yes... thanks Ruby...I guess." Fixer replied back trying to get his cool back as Ruby let him go

"Hehe. Well it's sweet, just like Ruby said." Rin mused, finding it amusing that it seemed even their more stoic teammate here could get flustered. That and the fact he was kinder then he'd given off so far "Still anything else we should know?"

"Oh right. Ahem, well for your information yes. You see I was able to at least hack some mechs too that my scanner spotted. Don't know which ones, but hopefully they'll be used soon. So the mercs can get a nasty surprise." Fixer finished explaining, even sounding amused at the aspect there

"Oh ho. Okay that's a good idea." Yang mused as she almost laughed a bit at how shocked the merc were gonna be when not if. But WHEN they turned on their mechs

"Heh. Yeah I'm gonna get shits and giggles out seeing those fuck wits get their due." Zaeed exclaimed himself very amused by this

Everyone else just nodded in agreement. Even though some didn't find amusement in it and more of just a tactical advantage for them. Still that said, without much more to say Elizabeth began her way off to get to the bridge. The others following.

To be honest, despite the pervious worries with the group. This mission would in reality probably be easy as-

[30 minutes later]

"AH MY LEG MY-"

That was the sound of a merc that had been the last member of the latest distraction team being shot dead on the bridge. Having his left leg shot through... three times in a row. Then falling to the ground screaming in horrific pain before taking one bullet through the head as he fell over dead.

"And that's four. See that girlys, that's what we're dealing with and apparently what you're recruiting." Zaeed exclaimed as he, Elizabeth Team RWBY and the others waited on one side of the wall that kept them hidden for the time. While the other distraction team before them was on the other side of the barrier, waiting for when to be told they could move out. Still Zaeed smirked looking at the dead merc "Heh, morons. But he got his due, dumb bloody shit heads."

"Zaeed that's a little much don't you think?" Ruby asked cringing a bit still from the dying man's sudden death. Zaeed just shrugged uncaring much to Ruby's slight annoyance "Of course..."

"Trust me sweetie, I know all too well now how Zaeed here can be." Weiss muttered as having been the one to be with Zaeed during their walk around before the mission. She quickly learned how the man was at times, even if he could be nice... avid barley at that even

"Yeah." Ruby replied back in agreement with her girlfriend before looking at the rest of the team "So everyone ready or...?"

"Ready as can be kid. Ready as can be." Thorn exclaimed amused as he'd been wanting to get into another fight, he'd missed those and already having a bar brawl only left him waiting for more

"Aside from waiting to apply this Medi-gel you're Doctor Chakwas gave me for the inevitable injuries. I guess so mini-boss." Fixer exclaimed

"MINI?" Ruby yelled flustered at that, while some of the others chuckled "H-Hey that's not nice to laugh you know!"

"Hehe. It's a bit funny little sister." Blake remarked as Yang was doing her best to not laugh out loud at the moment at least

"Heh. It is, apologizes Ruby." Okita mused as Thorn laughed just a little alongside Rin, Emile and Helena who also chuckled a little also

"Hmmm..." Ruby pouted as Yang patted her on the head and Weiss gave her a quick peck on the cheek

"Ah, how I missed this." Elizabeth mused as she smiled at the odd banter like it had been beforehand

But before anymore banter could be said. Suddenly they hear loud muffles from the merc band on the other side this entrance to the bridge. Nothing needed to be said for what was told as the merc band ran out shooting already towards Archangel.

Elizabeth smirked as she looked back at the others, their new weapons/ usual weapons already in hand. Elizabeth happy to see everyone was ready, motioned the group to follow. And as they stepped out seconds later, Elizabeth and team RWBY following behind. The five sudden were shot and hit, yet it wasn't with a bullet. No it was more of five well places shots of concussion rounds.

"Holy shit, you okay?" Emile asked as he and the others saw this and had almost resided their guns to fire back if only for Elizabeth to hold her hand up

"Yeah, yeah we're fine... heh. Guess our mutual friends can tell we're in his side. I hope." Elizabeth mused smirking as she cracked her neck before taking her rifle our "Ladies and Gentlemen. Let's give our friends a hand here."

Not even seconds later, Emile, Zaeed, Thorn and Fixer were the first to shoot the closest advancing mercs in the back. Right as they did taking three out, the rest noticed and one even yelling 'SHIT THEY'RE WITH ARCHANGLE!'. That one being rammed in the chest but Ruby who shoulder charged him with some help of her semblance. Knocking the man out as he hit the ground.

After that not much else was said aside from a one sided ass kicking. Mainly thanks to the combine might of the group. Okita being the next to show off her swords skills as she lunged and dashed with elegance grace at the remaining mercs. Her sword strong enough to slice through the shields and armor of the mercs. Though Rin firing a few well-placed grenade and Helena firing volts of magic helped too with Okita avoiding getting shot up. That plus Elizabeth using a few shield disruption at the right moment.

The rest of the mercs were rendered unconscious as team RWBY simply incapacitated. An act that the rest of the squad had taken notice of. But opted to leave it be... for now at least. Still after all that was done with. The group took a moment to take a breather, ammo count and make sure they all were still unharmed.

"Alright we all good, ammo still high?" Elizabeth asked taking out an thermal clip on her weapon

"Got two clips left, might have to resort to my side arm soon." Zaeed answered first as he growled some "Fucking shit this is. Should have taken more clips, rookie move on my part. Bloody daft bastard I am."

"Hey can't be perfect all the time." Thorn mused as he patted his personal weapon. Fixer and Emile next to him doing similar actions "Gonna say, can't wait to see this baby shoot those thermal clips once we get our weapons retrofitted."

"Yeah. That's gonna be fun I'll admit." Emile mused as he reloaded his personal shotgun " Hehe."

"Dark..." Helena and Rins muttered as they reloaded their pistols. Though we're happy to see their mage craft was effective

"I'm more curious on Okita here honestly." Blake remarked as she was glad her body was feeling much more reactive to when she, then girls and Elizabeth fist woke up "I have to say. That blade of yours is impressive."

"That's for sure. Reminded me of what lightsaber does to armor. Expect more blood." Thorn added in

"Well I'm not a heroic spirit for nothing that's for sure. Still thanks you for the compliment." Okita replied back proudly as she spined her sword with ease as to show off just a bit. That got a quick chuckle from a few of the others

"Well compliments aside. We need to get going. Girls you're with me so we can meet our vigilante's soon to be allies. The rest of you secure the lower floor just in case our merc 'friends' show up sooner." Elizabeth ordered

"Yes ma'am!" Everyone else replied back

After that with Zaeed leading Emile, Rin, Helena, Fixer, Thorn and Okita past the girls and Elizabeth. As they passed by Elizabeth who looked back at the girls who were just finished up looking over each other for any possible wounds. When none were seen, the girls just looked back at her and smiled.

"Hm. All set girls?" Elizabeth mused as she decided to let the no killing organics thing alone for now with them; didn't seem the best time to bring it up even if it was rather obvious

"Yeppers mom!" Ruby answered back first in her usual Rubyness. Which oddly was more adorable as a grown woman now

"All set and ready to kick some butt mom." Yang answered next with a toothy grin

"Like they said, ready as can be... mother." Blake added in still getting use to saying that

"And I am too mother." Weiss answered lastly as she'd just accepted that she was now going to call Elizabeth mother. Since she and Ruby were basically wife and wife if not by legal standards "Still how do you think this Archangel and his allies are going to be. I hope they're friendly enough, we could us all the help we can get obviously."

"Right like we already didn't get loaded with the others." Elizabeth joked as she started to lead them into the base as they saw the others checking around and making a parameter

"True but again help is always needed." Weiss replied back as they entered the base seconds later passing Zaeed who was giving Rin an odd looking rifle they'd never seen beforehand; and saying something about 'burst shot'

"Yeah I agree with you Snowflake." Ruby exclaimed as they now passed Helena looking under the couches for some reason while Emile and Thorn watching her shook their heads at the oddness there

"Same. I'll admit the help will be nice, even if it's overkill." Elizabeth exclaimed as they stopped by near Fixer who seemed to be standing guard near the stairs seconds later "So Fixer everything good down here?"

"Yes ma'am. No stragglers who could have been hiding and we even found a weapon we could take and store." Fixer answered as the girls and Elizabeth looked back seeing Rin aiming the rifle down the bridge as Zaeed was seeming to instruct her some

"Oh so that's what that is... man we REALLY need to catch up when we can." Ruby stated as she sighed a bit at that fact

"Yeah..." Weiss, Blake and Yang muttered sadly

"Can't say I don't feel the same way ladies. Anyways head up the stairs, I'm sure our VIP's are waiting for you. Call it a hunch." Fixer exclaimed

"Will do." Elizabeth replied back kindly as she gave Fixer a pat on the shoulder before she and the girls passed by him

Then the five slowly made their way up the stairs, down the second floor before turning around the right corner that lead down to the door. As they stopped, Elizabeth looked to the girls and nodded. The girls simply nodded back as they were ready just in case Archangel attacked them thinking they were mercs.

"One...two..." Elizabeth lipped counting down as she and the girls were prepped for the meeting "THREE!"

With one final yell Elizabeth entered the room, then the girls following behind as the door closed. Once it did the five took a moment before looking to see what seemed to a Turian shaped individual. It was a moment more or so before she noticed two other women with him, one holding a Avenger Assault rifle and the other binoculars. All of then having helmets on as they looked back to the group of five. Though it was a bit dark where they three were at so it was hard to seem them fully. But one looked like it had pointed parts on the top of their helmet oddly.

"Archangel and...friends?" Elizabeth asked as she hoped these three were friends, or at least nice

But instead or an answer the two women got comfy on the couch on one side of it while the Turian moved himself a bit, sat on a desk and rested his feet on the couch. It was moment more before the Turian then stood up, placed his rifle on the couch and walked a bit closer to the group as they wondered who he was. Though they got their answer when the Turian took his helmet off seconds later.

"Shepard, boy am I glad to-" The Turian or Garrus Vakarin said smiling in joy and utter disbelief of his old commander being alive. Avid different looking a bit, but still he could tell it was her

Though he was cut off when Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang realized who he was. Their reaction was what one would expect from the girls at this point in time.

"GARUSS!" Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang happily yelled as they leaped toward him to give the man a big group hug

"Gi- UMPHF!" Garrus started to say before he was knocked over onto his back, but sat up slighting as he looked at team RWBY with renewed feeling of sudden joy that his eyes weren't actually playing a sick trick on him when he and his friends spotted them on the bridge "Girls…. is… is it really you?!"

"It is Garrus and we're so happy to see you're okay!" Ruby answered first as she and the girls got off of Garrus but sat on their knees while Garrus sat back up a bit more now "I mean the last place we'd find you is well here."

"Actually considering how you felt back four years ago when it came to the law and how it was dealt with. Maybe not as surprising." Yang remarked with a smirk

"That too, but you sure did cause some issues huh. I mean every merc band want's your head. That's quite a feat." Weiss exclaimed as she noticed his rifle that she and the girls had helped him make four years ago "Huh glad to see you kept your rifle in condition."

"That I did, had too. I mean… it was all had left of you girls. Aside from now that is." Garrus answered with a warm smile or the Turian equivalent of one "But seems like you girls have been busy, new weapons, your older and did I see new people. You replacing me?"

The girls just chuckled some as they could tell it was all in humor. Still they had been worried when in their last talk with the Illusive man, that their people had no idea where he was. So to see him now, even if they could tell he seemed… different was enough for them to feel at ease some more since this all started.

"And of course I'm here too, but no love for your commander right?" Elizabeth remarked smirking as the girls got up while Garrus was helped up by Elizabeth herself

"What can I say. No one ever wants to remember their boss.?" Garrus joked some before his smirk became warmer like before "Seriously… I… I'm happy to see you're okay. Different looking, but okay. What's up with that anyways and who are the people below that came with you. Some of them look real… different. Like team RWBY here different."

"That's a long-ish story. But how about first you tell us who your lady friends are." Elizabeth answered before nodding to the two women still on the couch

Garrus just smirked once more before looking back at the two women and nodding for them to come up. The two didn't even hesitate as they did so. Stopping next to Garrus right before taking their helmets off. As they did Elizabeth and team RWBY went wide eyed. Why one may ask, well…

"Hiya sweet pea, did you miss us?" The first woman or an older Kianna Graves said with a big smile. Alongside her was an older Ziara Graves considering they got married four years ago, the two women having barely held their own excitement in. But wanted to wait to reveal themselves like this. Kianna was quickly greeted by her god daughters hugging her as she hugged them back "Hehe. I missed you two so much… so…. so much."

"And we missed you too Auntie Kianna!" Ruby replied back as her joy was ever growing at more family members coming back to them

"Totally. We were so worried when the ship got attacked back then." Yang added in wiping her eyes some at how happy she herself was

"Believe us dears, we were too about you four." Ziara exclaimed as she had just got down giving Weiss and Blake a hug before the two switched giving hugs. Blake and Weiss now giving Kianna a hug while Ruby and Yang hugged her. Ziara doing her best to not cry a bit as she held her two god daughters close. Before letting the go "You can't imagine how heartbroken we were when we heard that they couldn't find you girls and that Elizabeth was declared dead."

"It wasn't pretty." Garrus exclaimed sighing some "Speaking of. What are you all doing here, not that we aren't happy but…"

"Nah we get it. To be honest we're on a mission, a really important one. Look how about we help you three out and you come with us. Everything will be explained then." Yang exclaimed happily as the others of team RWBY nodded in agreement

"Hm… fair. Sides it would be best for us to leave here… nothing left… anymore.' Garrus said clenching his fists a bit which the girls and Elizabeth noticed

"Garrus." Kianna simply said as she patted Garrus shoulder gently which seemed to calm Garrus down some

"Right…right, speaking of maybe we should tell your friends below that-" Garrus began to say before suddenly a choruses of screaming mercs echoed from where the bridge was at. Garrus and the others running over to see a hail of blue lasers bolts cutting down many of the merc's that were sent out to attack now "Um…"

"What was that?" Kianna asked wide eyed

"Was that one of your new teammates girls?" Ziara asked very surprised yet kind of found it cool

"YEP. That's Thorn I think, right Yang?" Ruby asked as Yang nodded that it was "Okay good. Anyways that's just one of our new buddies. You should see the rest, they are insane!"

"I think we'll take your word for it Ruby." Garrus replied back before he noticed a lot of Eclipse mercs rush the bridge and start shooting at those below who began to shoot back. Some of it looked even like magic oddly at least by his guess "Not good looks like they got tired of waiting. Well at least the-"

The sound of a muffled, yet loud echo from below could be heard and some rumbling on both floors if Emiles sudden few loud swears and Helena smacking his armor even during a fire fight indicated enough. That and also the slight smell of smoke barely noticeable emanating.

"Okay… ah Garrus buddy. Sniper bestie… what was that?" Ruby asked in a slight panic

"That would half an hour of hard labor and panic induced paranoia down the drain Ruby… great. Just great." Ziara answered sighing some as her wife Kianna patted her back

"So then they can come from below and…OH right they said they had an infiltration team." Blake exclaimed face palming "Had to forget that…"

"We all did kitten. We all did." Yang exclaimed sighing also as the gun fire below still went on "At least our people are keeping the bridge handled."

"That they are flame sis. Anyways we need to plug that entrance again, Garrus, Kianna, Ziara. You three would know this place best, any way we can?" Weiss cut in as to make sure they didn't get off track, like they did at the worst times

"Hm, well the door does close by itself." Garrus answered

"Wait why didn't you do that than from the start?" Elizabeth questioned

"Simple, it was more of just in case the barrier didn't work and if we needed to make a quick escape then we could just blast the controls when we booked it." Kianna answered "That said we'd need to send a few people down there. I'll go if a few of you and your friends want to tag along."

"I'll go with you Auntie Kianna." Ruby answered as took a deep breath "We can head down and I'll get a few of the team to follow sound good?"

"And I'll join too Kianna." Blake added in as she gave her little sister in law a smile

"Glad to have with me gals. Let's go." Kianna said as she got up already leaving, Ruby giving Weiss a quick peck on the lips before following behind while Blake did the same with Yang

"Okay we got the underground set, here's the rest of the plan. One of us stay up here with me, Garrus and the other one make your way down to the first floor with Ziara. Send a few of the team up here and the rest stay with the two on the first floor." Elizabeth explained as the others looked to one another before back at Elizabeth and nodded "Good. Now who's staying up here with me?"

"I can mother. I think my style is more long range." Weiss answered back

"Then I'll go down with Auntie Ziara. We'll see who wants to come up to help you guys." Yang stated as she and Ziara got up before also leaving

"Now then that leaves us up here. Garrus my friend get ready to meet some… new friends." Elizabeth simply said with a smirk as she moved over to the spot Garrus, Kianna and Ziara had been at while Garrus looked to Weiss for a moment

"Something tells me despite everything I went through before… this is all going to be new. Huh?" Garrus asked with a deadpanned tone

"What would ever give you that idea." Weiss mused teasing here old friend before moving over to Elizabeth now to help her out, Garrus just sighed as he already heard the footsteps of those new people sent up here coming closer

Garrus decided to let it be for now though. He'd get answers soon and he'd explain as much as he though was needed once this was all over. But despite the situation and the odds they faced. Garrus had to admit, he felt more happier than he had in a long while.

Well this was good start…

At least if you asked Ruby or Blake as they ran down the rather odd line of barriers that were in the hallway as they ran alongside Kianna. Who else was with them was Thorn, Rin and Zaeed who'd quickly opted out to go with the three women to keep an eye on them while they closed the door on the underground floor.

"God damn son of bitch. My fucking knees!" Zaeed angrily screamed as he and the others had already leap over twenty of the small barriers that popped out the floor. Zaeed eyeing Kianna ahead of him "Couldn't have turn these things off lady?"

"Sorry. They take a while to come up and down so I didn't want to mess that up just in case." Kianna replied back sighing some "What a grump…."

"From what we can tell Kianna, that's just him" Blake answered leaping over another barrier with ease before looking back at Zaeed "No offense Zaeed!"

"Hmf…" Zaeed grumbled not seeming to care or maybe he did and just didn't show it

"Ah lay off the man ladies. Old timer is just dealing with the passage of age is all." Thorn mused chuckling some as he was next to Zaeed "Ain't that right gramps?"

"Gramps, I'll show you gramps you little…" Zaeed grumbled at the teasing on his expense by what he assumed was a young punk in fancy armor with a fancy gun

"Behave boys!" Rin scolded. Though sighed feeling like this was going to be a thing for her at times when it came to the more childish of her new teammates. Still she kept her focus ahead and decided to talk to Kianna for a moment or so as they got closer to the other side where this door was "By the way. It's nice to meet you Kianna, even if it's under more rather…"

"Crappy?" Thorn suggested

"Beyond fucked." Zaeed suggested next as he was putting in some extra effort to keep up with everyone, older age be damned

"Yes… thank you boys. But odd circumstances." Rin mused "Especially since it seems you know Ruby and Blake here."

"Well I'm just as surprised to see my god daughters and my in laws alive again. So I guess I can say the same with the oddness of this reunion and meet up. Still nice to meet you all too. I hope we can get know each other better after all of this." Kianna answered

"Oh of course you will. We we're here to get Archangel or well Garrus originally for our mission. But you and Auntie Ziara would be more than welcomed to join like mom said!" Ruby cheered in glee

"Hehe and we will. That's for sure." Kianna answered back as she leaped over the last barrier that had been around the corner and stopped having made to the other side of the hallway where the locked first door was "And here we are!"

"Oh… oh thank fucking Christ for that.." Zaeed muttered as he, Ruby, Blake, Rin and Thorn stopped next to Kianna seconds after. Zaeed taking in a few deep breaths "That was… bullshit."

"Need a minute or two Zaeed?" Blake remarked smirking as Zaeed gave her a stink eye

"Don't… push me girly." Zaeed replied back as Blake just chuckled some

"Okay. Okay teasing aside, let me get this door open and then we close the other…" Kianna began to say as she typed in a code before the door opened seconds later as she, and then the others go through weapons out in a moment's notice "Doooorrr…oh crap."

"Son of a…." Zaeed muttered as Thorn next to him was already reeving up his gun

"Kianna I know we just met but one you could have told us the full detail of this room." Rin added as she sighed and got her pistol out

"That or the fact I'm see what I do NOT want to see across from us right now Kianna." Blake chimed in as she was SO glad she bought that AP mod now

"Yeah… no offense Auntie Kianna. But you kind of dropped the ball…" Ruby stated as she was hoping things would go well for them

"Okay fair points, counter. But like Garrus, me and Ziara have been awake two days whole without stims so give me a little leeway here." Kianna exclaimed as she braced herself for what she and the others saw ahead "That said… of all the things to meet us here… it had to be this."

For what this group had seen was one that the bottom floor was actually a very… VERY large and wide spaced underground storage facility filled with crates, barrels, etc. While at the very other side was the now destroyed barrier that had been blocking it. But what was worse was what apparently waited for at the spot.

For it was Warlord Garm of the Blood Pack. A dozen or so of Vorcha, six heavily armored and armed Krogans by his side and at least eight varren. All which were more than seeming to be ready to kill the group if Garm's smile, his very blood thirsty smile was anything to say about it.

"Have to say, today is my lucky day. When you two little gals and your friends popped up on our area first. I had my suspicions on you two and the other two with you. You four looked very familiar that was for sure and what do you know. I remembered not even ten minutes later, you and your kind were famous back then and are very much still now. The Remnants. Ha and you know what's better, you two and your two other colored coded buddies have a high bounty on your head!" Garm yelled loudly as he meant this towards Ruby and Blake

"Well, that ain't good." Thorn muttered finger barley on the trigger of his weapon as the barrels spin. The other couldn't help but agree at that fact and the future trouble it could bring

"Wait what do you mean we have a bounty on our heads!?" Ruby replied back wanting some kind of answer for her and the girls

"Simple your little possie pissed off a lot of people brat and they want you dead. I'm gonna be the one to do it, get the credits and make a name for myself for killing you so called Ancients. SO get ready bitches, you're gonna be dead before you know it. Boys… SICK EM HAHAHA!" Garm answered before already firing at the group as his men and the animals they had charged the group who all got into cover

"Crap, crap!" Kianna yelled first as she was already firing back from around a corner with Thorn who was shitting his rotating blaster the best he could from the corner he also hide at alongside Kianna

"What do we do now?" Rin yelled as she fired a few pot shots before ducking back behind a barrier, taking out a few jewels she had on hand for the mission to use her mage craft with

"Just keeping firing back and hope we kill the pricks!" Zaeed screamed as a Vorcha had seemingly gotten close quick as he had leaped over Zaeed's cover and tried killing him, only for Zaeed to killing the creature with a bullet point blank through the head "Fucking pest."

"A bit graphic there." Ruby muttered as she and Blake hid behind a crate as they were going for limbs shots at least, as like before they, Weiss and Yang did NOT want to kill anyone; even if they were attacking them

"I just hope everyone else is holding up…" Blake muttered as she fired off a few rounds blindly at the advancing forces to hopefully scare them into hiding behind cover

To be honest, her worries were valid as well, like REALLY valid.

"HOLY CRAP GET THIS BASTARD OFF ME!"

That was what Emile screamed as he and Okita had decided to stay below alongside Yang; and Ziara to keep the advancing forces of the Blue Suns and Eclipse plus the remaining mercs from advancing. Thankfully at first the hacked mechs had helped if only for a bit before they were gun downed by the overwhelming fire power.

That had been the good news for them as even after the mechs had been taken down, the group had been able to hold back and even drive away the quickly dwindling merc forces. That and Emile along Okita at least had killed the two merc leaders second in commands in the last wave.

Still that had left the bosses to come and try taking the group down. Both the one down here and the one that was up with the now identified old friend of Elizabeth's, Garrus. Now that would haven't been too bad aside for to things.

First was the Blue Sun leader that Elizabeth and her group at the time had skipped by to not bother the man who seemed rather… violently peeved as he fixed the gunship Garrus had clipped. But he had apparently fixed the ship and was currently attacking the upper floor while screaming in hatred; and rage. Those up there being of course Garrus along with Elizabeth and Weiss who had stayed behind. Then finally with them was Fixer and Helena who had opted to go help those above.

Still that left the Omega branches Eclipse's leader, a Salarian by the name of Jaroth for their group to deal with. Now no one had thought or believed a Salarian could give any of them trouble. Since Yang and Zaira at least remembered how squishy they could be in combat, while Emile and Okita had found them unintimidating to say the least. BUT… apparently either that was a total lie or Jaroth was a freak of nature in his own right. Because the male Salarian was currently clawing a downed Emile after he caught the spartan off-guard when he decloaked. Clawing at Emile like a mad animal full of blood lust.

"SERIOUSLY GET HIM FUCKING OFF ME!" Emile screamed. Not in fear, but utter rage that he was caught off guard like this and that he couldn't take out his Kurki to stab the Salarian dead but had to rely on others to help

"We're trying but we don't want to hit you!" Yang yelled back as she tried to grab Jaroth who backhanded her before he went back to clawing at Emile. Who himself was now finally getting some strength to fight the mad Salarian off. Yang meanwhile rubbed her jaw as she blinked a few times at how hard the Salarian hit "Ah…. ow… ow….WOW."

"You okay Yang?" Okita asked as Zaira meanwhile had tried to help Emile only for Jaroth to grab her into a head lock as she tried freeing herself as she and Yang looked back to see this "Not good."

"Yeah… also I'm fine just wow. He hits hard for a Salarian." Yang exclaimed rubbing her Jaw some more as she and Okita heard loud explosions; and gun fire from the upper stairs "I hope they're doing okay though."

"I'm sure they are. But we need to help Emile and Zaira out now." Okita replied back as Yang just nodded before the two moved over to try and get Jaroth off Emile; along with letting go of Ziara from the headlock

Meanwhile as that went on, our last group in the upper floor inside the room Garrus, Kianna and Zaira had been held up at the past two days. Those that stayed up there being Elizabeth, Weiss and Garrus, along with having Helena and Fixer. Who were ah… having some trouble too of course. In the gun ship variety…

"DIED DAMN YOU!" The Omega Sector Blue Sun leader or Tarka screamed as he was firing all he had on his gunship to kill the group; especially Garrus "I'M GONNA SKIN YOU AND FRIENDS ALIVE ARCHANGLE AND HANG YOUR CORPSES IN MY HOUSE AS A ORDIMENT!"

"Wow this guy really wants you dead Mister Garrus!" Helena yelled as she had been grazed barley in the arm, but enough that she was a little hesitant to shoot back again even if she knew she had too as she shakily held her pistol

"Seriously. I know you messed with the merc groups, but what did you do to make this guy hate THIS much?" Weiss asked as she was next to Helena as she popped up from covering landing a few shots at the cockpit of the gunship and actually was able to crack the glass just a bit. Weiss popping back behind cover when Tarka began to shot at her position "Yes got a good hit that time!"

"Nice one Weiss!" Elizabeth stated proudly as she with Fixer by her side popped up now from their cover and began to fire at the gunship a bit

"Yeah nice shot Weiss. But to answer your question, I MAY and when I say may. I mean I did at one point break into his home in the middle of the night and try to kill him." Garrus answered rather calmly as Weiss and Helena at least were a little worried at just how calm Garrus had admitted to that

"Oh… ah okay that makes sense now." Weiss stated as she was bit surprised. Mainly because of how different Garrus seemed a bit in tactics

"Yeah no offense Mister Garrus but I'd pretty angry too if someone did that." Helena in a deadpanned tone scolded like the grandmother she was, Garrus actually flinched a bit from that too as he felt that grandmotherly aura around her

"Eh…well ah, no offense taken on my end. I'll admit not my smartest move and probably the reason I got the and myself into this situation… at least one of them." Garrus exclaimed scratching his cheek right as Elizabeth and Fixer ducked back down from their quick exchange with the gunship reloading their guns

"Well either way Garrus you can tell us the rest of the story once we're out of here okay?" Elizabeth had asked overhearing the conversation and too had her own concerns for Garrus current state of mind as he seemed more… aggressive in someways

"Ever the optimist Elizabeth. I miss it." Garrus exclaimed as he prepped his rifle up to get ready to shoot back once more "Alright let's take this bastard!"

"And we're right behind you Garrus!" Weiss chimed in as she and Helena who took a deep breath were ready too

Not even a second later Garrus, Weiss and Helena popped back up firing back at the Gunship as Garrus at least was screaming back at Tarka to die with a rage that was barley hidden. Elizabeth sighed some as she reloaded her other guns too, hoping Garrus would open up some after this at what occurred beforehand. But she felt Fixer tap her shoulder as she turned her focus over to the clone commando.

"What's up Fixer?" Elizabeth asked as she was glad that Fixer had opted to go up her with them for backup. His rather stoic nature helped keep her calm in a situation like this, not that she was worried just that she still felt rusty from being only revied four years later not even barley a day ago

"Just wanted to tell that everyone is doing okay so far. My armor also seemed to have one more little upgrade, I can track the vitals of the team." Fixer explained

"Oh that's pretty nifty. Still good to hear everyone's okay." Elizabeth replied back as that elevated some worries she had

"It is, still I'd suggest you contact the underground team and just see how their progress is going. They should have been up here by now." Fixer suggested as Elizabeth took a moment before she just nodded in agreement and turned her comms on seconds later

"Girls, Kianna, anyone hear me. What is your current status with the door?" Eliazbeth asked calmly as she only hear some static which got her a bit worried again "I repeat. What is your current status?"

-["Elizabeth it's Blake (static) good, but (static)."]- Blake over her comms replied back only for some static to cut off a few parts of her report

"Blake you giving us some static on our end. Tell us again, what is your status?" Elizabeth asked a bit louder and clearer hoping that Blake would hear her through what seemed to be static thanks to what she assumed was difference in elevation at the moment

It was only a few seconds later Blake replied back once more.

"We're having a situation of our own!" Blake answered back in louder tone hoping her mother in law got that clearly enough. Before she cut the comms off, sighing as she held her left arm that was now only healing after taking a shot to it from Garms shotgun when he got close enough

What was happening though from what Blake saw was first of all Ruby. Who had been able to AGAIN tame the Varren that the Blood Pack had been using and at the moment was well…

"CHASE THEM AWAY MY PUPPIES HAHAHAHA!" Ruby screamed like a mad woman as the Varren were chasing away the remaining three Vorcha as the rest of theirs and the Krogan Blood pack members were all but dead. Thanks to mainly Zaeed and Thorn who had the most experience when it came to killing large numbers at once

"CRAZY RED GIRL, CRAZY RED GIRL!" One of the three Vorcha screamed in terror of Ruby as it and it's fellow two other Vorcha had basically ran back all the way back near the door they had come in from as the Varren chased them off

"VICTORY!" Ruby cheered meanwhile at the fact she helped run off the remaining back up for Garm

Speaking of Garm. Blake turned her focus on the freak of nature that was the Omega Blood Pack sectors leader and the battle he was having with the remainder of their crew. That being Rin, Zaeed, Kianna and Thorn.

"JUST DIE ALREADY!" Thorn screamed as he had leaped om Garms back punching his face repletely as some blood was on his gauntlet having dropped his gun when he took a punch to the gut from the Krogan

"GRAH!" Zaeed screamed himself as he was punching and stabbing Garm in the stomach while Kianna was holding him by the right leg with all her strength to keep him at bay

"DO ALL YOU WANT, I'LL TAKE IT ALL O…GAH!" Garm had begun to boast only for Rin who had been thrown into a few crates mere seconds ago lunged at him with her body covered by runes from her own mage craft and took a kick to the face. One that pushed Garm back just a bit as he feel onto his back

As Rin landed on her feet, Thorn had been caught by Kianna who let him down moments after as they alongside Zaeed to a moment to catch their breath. They then looked to Rin who had a slight cut on her brow now taking in a few breaths too seeming to calm herself down.

"Could have done that sooner dazzle?" Zaeed asked using the new nickname for Rin as the woman gave him a slight stink eye at said nickname that got a chuckle from the old merc

"What is that about anyways Rin?" Thorn asked as he and Kianna had taken notice of the runes on her body

"Just some enhancements I use if I HAVE to fight hand to hand. Been a while and… whew… tiring." Rin exclaimed as she then noticed Garm already getting up if not with a bleeding nose "Come on, really?"

"Gonna take a lot more than that to take me down lady." Garm mused as Rin and the others already were getting ready to fight again. Garm laughed a bit at the sight as he smiled wickedly "That's the spirit, now get rea-"

"TAKE THIS MEANIE!" Ruby suddenly screamed cutting Garm off as she now leaped on his head clawing at his face as he tried to throw her off, only she got back up seconds later

"AND DON'T FORGET ME!" Blake screamed next as she had healed up enough and charged at Garm also leaping onto Garm's back as Ruby had made room for here as she too was clawing at his face

"GET OFF ME YOU CRAZY BITCHES!" Garm screamed more in annoyance then anything at this happening to him

"Well. Can't let the girls have all the fun!" Zaeed cheered as he charged at Garm now

"Let do it!" Thorn screamed next more than ready to have a round two with Garm as he followed behind Zaeed

"Those boys…" Kianna muttered but smiled too

"Same can be said with the girls." Rin mused chuckling some as she decided to hold her fist out for a fist bump with Kianna "Well, ready to help our boys and girls out?"

"Always. Let's do this." Kianna remarked as she gave Rin a fist bump before looking ahead and charging at Garm now "ATTACK!"

"AHHHH!" Rin did her best war cry as she followed behind Kianna now to help the others take out Garm now

Meanwhile as this went on, the others were still faring well enough… the words being 'Well enough'.

"DIE YOU LITTLE GREMLIN!" Emile screamed as he was standing up now firing off his shotgun at Jaroth who was dodging the blast barely while also dodging Okita barley. The heroic spirit swinging her sword at him in increasing annoyance, all the while Ziara was rubbing her throat from a recent punch to there from Jaroth

"HOW ARE WE MISSING HIM!?" Yang screamed in confusion as she was firing off her own gun at Jaroth missing too while also avoiding hitting Okita

"NO IDEA JUST KEEP SHOOTING!" Emile replied back as he fired again yet ran out of shells "FUCK, RELOADING!"

"WILL YOU JUST STAY STILL!" Okita meanwhile screamed as she swung again and Jaroth barely avoided the hit yet again "HOW, HOW?!"

"BECAUSE I'M NOT GIVING UP UNTIL ARCHANGEL IS DEAD YOU BASTARDS!" Jaroth replied back as he threw a blender at Okita that hit her in the face hard as she fell over on her back in pain "HA TAKE THAT YOU…BLEH!"

For what just happened. Ziara having her aura help her throat heal up a bit quicker, had gotten a quick minor second wind as she had ran up and tackled Jaroth to the ground before begging to punch the Salarian.

"Shut up, shut up, shut up!" Ziara yelled as Jaroth did his best to block the punches, then he used his omni tool as he activated the blade function. Then saw an opening as he stabbed Ziara through the left side of her stomach as the girl screamed in pain and was kicked off. Ziara though having her aura already healing the wound still felt the sting of it as she clutched the area "DAMN!"

"Auntie Zaira!" Yang yelled in a panic as she stopped shooting and ran over to check on her Aunt

"DIE!" Jaroth meanwhile screamed having seen two kitchen knives and decided to use them now to make everyone's deaths as slow as possible in his eyes

"AH SHIT!" Emile yelled back as he dropped his shotgun seeing Jaroth charging him and pulled out his kukri finally before fighting back Jaroth who was swinging at him

"Ugh… my face…." Okita muttered as she coughed out some blood suddenly and cursed herself that her illness was starting again now of all times

Though as she rubbed her face. She hoped everyone else was having better time than them.

"HAHAHA, EAT MISSLES FUCKERS!" Tarka screamed as by this point the Batraian's own madness to want to get rid of Archangel so he can FINALLY have a decent nights rest again. Had all be taken over his mind as he was just firing off missiles at the group who barely were able to keep safe behind some flipped over tables that thankful were reinforced just in case things like this occurred like right now

"Okay so plans anyone. Because I don't think we can even get a hit on the guy without taking a missile to the face!" Garrus yelled as he rubbed his faced for moment "Besides this is what makes the ladies come. Without this I am SCREWED."

"Really that's why?" Helena asked with a raised brow as she smacked the Turians arm "Perverted boy!"

"Just trying to make a joke is all. It's how I cope with situations like these." Garrus replied back smirking some before he looked to Elizabeth who chuckled some "Just to say. This is reminding me WAY too much now on how the old days were!"

"I know." Elizabeth muttered sighing some before eyeing Weiss who was being tended to by Fixer "Weiss you good?"

"She will be in a moment. This so call Aura or not, a concussion isn't something that should be ignored." Fixer answered as he finished wrapping a bandaged around Weiss head that covered her forehead "There we go. You sure you're still good for the fight Weiss?"

"As… as much as I can be." Weiss muttered as she realized her aura was a bit slower healing her at the moment, she wondered if it was an her thing or if the others had the same issues. Still she appreciated Fixer helping her out as she looked back to her mother in law "What we do now though. There has to be something."

"For now we have to wait. Let's just hope the other teams are holding up better than us still." Elizabeth answered as the others couldn't help but agree and hope someone from either the first floor team or the underground team would join them once they were doing with own tasks

"HAHA, COME ON IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!" Garm screamed as he was blood that was for sure, but also smiling like a total psycho as Zaeed and Thorn had been thrown hard into a pile of crates; and yet had come out of the pile. While Kianna was laying against one of the support pillars groaning in pain as her aura was healing her up still. All the while a somewhat more bloody Rin, a slight bruise Ruby and a bloody lipped Blake were what was left against Garm. Who still laughing in glee "I HAVEN'T HAD THIS MUCH FUN IN AGES. I'M FUCKING ROCK HARD RIGHT NOW HA!"

"Okay…ew." Ruby muttered as she, Blake and Rin shuttered in disgust

"Yeah no kidding Ruby." Rin replied back as she cracked her neck "Damn, I hate being older…"

"Well look at it this way. You're still spry enough to fight so that's a plus and to be honest me and the girls thought you we're like twenty five or something." Blake exclaimed kindly

"That's for sure, we though you and your husband were the twins older siblings or something." Ruby added in with a thumbs up "So trust us you may feel old, but you don't look it."

"Aw thanks girls." Rin said as she grateful for the kind words of the young ladies with her, unfortunately the moment was ruin seconds later… by Garm

"You ladies done being all girly and shit. I AM WAITING HAHAHA!" Garm rudely asked as he punched his right fist into his left hand with a blood thirsty smirk

"He does kind of a point. Much as I hate to admit it." Blake mused smirking a bit herself

"And it is rude to keep someone waiting." Ruby exclaimed giggling just a bit

"Ladies after my own heart." Rin mused as she smiled before she and the girls face Garm. Rin holding her fists back up "Well let's give the guy what he wants ladies."

Ruby and Blake didn't even reply back as they followed Rin in suit, while Garm laughed some more seeing this was going to be a very fun fight. Then her charged.

"RAHAHAHAHAHA!" Garm roared as he bolted towards Rin, Ruby and Blake

"GARHHHHH!" Rin, Ruby and Blake screamed back as the charged back towards Garm

As this went on the others were…well, fairing a bit better-ish.

Meanwhile… again.

"DAMN YOU!" Jaroth screamed as he was at the moment lifted in the air

By who one may ask. Emile, a very…. VERY pissed off Emile who was surrounded by a bruised up Yang who was noticing that unlike before. Her aura was… slower at the moment when healing her and that was kind of worrying to the blonde. Next to Yang was Okita who had a small bandage on her nose now and some dry blood around her lips from her coughing as she thankfully had gotten better. Meanwhile Ziara was leaning up against her god daughter Yang as she had been bandaged up around her waist now even if her aura was healing still. All the girls stared at Emile as he held a screaming Jaroth over him.

"LET ME DOWN YOU TIN CAN I'LL FUCKING RIP YOUR THROAT OUT AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR BITCHES HERE'S CUNTS!" Jaroth screamed in a very feral manner. Yang at least bit shocked at seeing this as most Salarian's she'd meet, well actually all never were this volatile

"Wow… this is a first." Ziara mused as she too like her god daughter was surprised by Jaroth's nearly feral like behavior at the moment

"So not normal for them?" Okita questioned as she rubbed her nose a bit winching at the soreness

"Not one bit Okita. Not one bit…anyways what do we do now with him?" Yang questioned as she wondered what the bounty on the Omega Sector leader of the Eclipse was worth if anything

"Oh…Oh I know what to do with him!" Emile answered back a little too happily as he seemed to stick something on Jaroth. Then started walking toward the bridge where the gunship that Tarka was in could be heard still firing, alongside the muffled yelling the Batarain was spouting

"W-What are doing, let me go you psycho!" Jaroth this time feeling some sudden fear demanded with no luck getting out of Emiles grip on him

"Wow... pot calling kettle black." Ziara and Okita muttered after hearing Jaroth's anger induced plead

"Emile what are you doing?" Yang questioned as she did not like where this was going, but she and the girls were a bit too sore right now to try to stop the man as they were all but helpless but to watch Emile do whatever he was

Spoilers, it was going to be rather… explosive.

Meanwh… oh you get it!

"YOU CAN'T HIDE FOREVER THERE FUCKERS." Tarka screamed as his gunship was not even half done with his ammo and he fully committed to using it all if needed to kill Archangel and his little friends

"That thing is not running out of ammo!" Helena yelled as she noticed their cover was now slowly starting to weather under the constant missiles and gun fire "NOT GOOD, NOT GOOD!"

"We know Helena… damnit." Elizabeth replied back as she was trying to think of something. Then she looked to Garrus "Garrus anything you have that could help?"

"Sorry but no… we just got to hope he runs out of ammo soon." Garrus replied back as he was a bit upset at himself that he hadn't planned for this possibility

But as that happened, suddenly they heard… well a sudden flurry of rage and swearing from below. Actually it barely audible thank to well Tarka firing at them. But still loud enough that those up could at least tell that it going on.

"Fixer… are we going insane or is there yelling going on below?" Weiss asked feeling a bit better at this point thanks to her aura finally healing her up a bit quicker than it had before

"No I hear it too… what is that about?" Fixer for once sounding surprised asked anyone as they all shrugged "Well that's great… wait is the yelling getting-"

"AHHHHHHHH!" A sudden scream that to Elizabeth, Weiss and Garrus could easily tell belong to Salarian male echoed

And not even seconds later they heard the missiles and gun fire from Tarka's gunship stop. Followed by a loud 'THUD'. Poking their heads over not even second later they the Eclipse Omega sector leader Jaroth stuck on the side of Tarka's gunship by some black adhesive and apparently Jaroth had a bomb stuck on him as he tried to break free.

"What the-" Elizabeth began to say before she was cut off from someone from below… that being Emile as his voice was rather easy to identify

"HA, TAKE THAT YOU DIRTY WHORE!" Emile screamed in utter psychotic glee

"Wait what the heck did Emile just-" Weiss started to ask. Though like before she too was cut off all sudden, why well…

[BOOM!]

Yeah. Not even a second later and Jaroth exploded which in turn took out Tarka in a fiery heap as pieces of burning scrap metal. A small shockwave even pushed everyone up on the current 2nd floor if barley. Heck the explosion itself echoed so loudly that someone from the other side of the of the planet could have heard. The whole group could only really express such a sudden event in one way.

"HOLY CRAP/ SHIT/ SPIRITS/ BISCUTS/ SON OF A NERF HERDER!" The whole group of five screamed as they watched what the equivalent to an action hero movie scene. Elizabeth herself deciding to contact her eldest daughter down below on her comms

"Yang… what happened down there?" Elizabeth asked as she had just taken notice of Emile laughing like madman down below

["Would ah… would you believe me if I said Emile may and I'm just saying. MAY have snapped a little and made Jaroth a living time bomb mom."] Yang answered sounding bewildered as Elizabeth did her best not to sigh as she hadn't wanted Emile to do that if only for ethical reasons even if the guy was mercenary scum

"Right. Okay stay down there little sun and we'll meet you." Elizabeth replied back

["Right mom. Okie dokie..."] Yang simply said as the ever so psychotic laughing of Emile echoed even more through the comms as they turned off. Once they did Elizabeth let out a long sigh which the other notices

"So what now?" Garrus questioned for him and the others

"Now… let's just get up and get down stairs." Elizabeth simply answered as she got up, everyone just followed behind

Once up and slowly walking out from the top floor. Then down the stairs, Elizabeth's group meet up with Yang's and Zaira's group. Yang and Ziara sitting down now on some seats in the kitchen area, Okita just standing beside Ziara to make sure the woman doesn't fall over if by any chance. Emile meanwhile was sitting the couch humming of all things and a happy tune at that.

It was silent as both mother and eldest daughter looked at one another. Just silent before both of them had the idea to say something about the other one.

"You look like crap." Both Yang and Elizabeth said in a loving if not joking manner. Both surprised that they had the same idea, but laughed a bit if not with some groans of pain at the fact even if not by blood. They both shared a rather interesting way of amusement even at the oddest of times

"Heh… well I guess we all had some trouble." Elizabeth said as everyone from her group, Ziara and Okita nodded in agreement. She then looked to Emile with a slightly amused stare "Feeling good?"

"Yep. Very good." Emile simply answered so calmly like all his rage from before had subsided

"Good to hear. Huh, Yang where is your sister and girlfriend?" Elizabeth asked as she realized the last group had yet to come

"Ah…." Yang tried to answered realizing that too… until the answer came not seconds later

And how was that answer given. Easy, not even two seconds after that was asked the door to the underground levels opened showing a Garm who had his head crest ripped of his head leaving a rather… gory sight of his forehead muscles that pulsed and bleed. While screaming in rageful pain as he fell to the ground on his back while everyone just stared.

"What the fu-" Emile was about to say before he was cut off

By who though, by Thorn who came out of the doorway and stood right over Garm holding his weapon in his hands as the back had some fresh blood on it… a lot of blood. Before anyone could say a thing Thorn reeved his gun up before shoving it right into the face of Garm and letting out hail of blue bolts. Thorn screaming the whole way through.

"DDDDIIIEEEEEE!" Thorn screamed in a battle cry that lasted for a bit too long being thirty seconds before he let the trigger go and all that was left of Garm's face was a mess of burnt mushy flesh. By this point everyone watching were wide eyed, Elizabeth was about to say something before Thorn cut her off with a blood thirsty war cry "RAHHHHHH, I AM THORN DESTORYER OF KROGANS!"

"FUCK YEAH, AND LOOK HERE. I GOT THE BASTARDS HEAD CREST!" Zaeed all of sudden coming out of the door to the underground floor screamed covered in blood as he hand in his hand the fresh ripped off head crest of Garm. Running over to Thorn as the two began to do a war cry together "YEAH, YEAH HAHAHA!"

"WE WON, HAHAHAHAHA!" Thorn cheered before suddenly Garrus and Emile came into this now too seeming to find joy in the victory itself

"HELL YEAH YOU KILLED THAT FREAK OF NATURE HAHAHA. SUCK IT GARM YOU BASTARD!" Garrus cheered kicking Garms dead corpse

"I JUST FOUND THAT FUCKING COOL. HELL YEAH, WAR DOGS FOR LIFE!" Emile cheered as in all rights, this was win in his book. A blood soaked and well earned win "WHOO, WHOO. WAR DOGS!"

"WAR DOGS!" Zaeed screamed next

"WAR OF THE DOGS WE ARE, KRIFF YEAH!" Thorn cheered as he felt so alive after executing that freak of nature merc, this beat guard duty back when he was in the Coruscant Guard any day

"I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR SAYING BUT HELL YEAH. WAR DOGS!" Garrus cheered even if he didn't know much about what dogs were, he knew they were some kind of human pet that oddly was rarely if ever seen

"Seriously…why do men always do this?" Weiss asked in a deadpanned tone as she swore she had some memories when Garrus, Kaidan, Wrex and most of the other men doing this sort of things four years ago

"That's just how guys are. Girls can be like that too, but I think men just get into the thrill of the kill better." Ziara answered shrugging as she knew that feeling at least a bit

"Well at least Fixer-" Helena started to say as she Fixer had been next to her the whole time after coming down, only to be gone when she looked towards him "Huh where did he go?"

"There…." An unamused Okita answered as she pointed towards the group of guys that now had of all people Fixer cheering

"FOR THE HUNT. FOR THE HUNNNTTT!" Fixer in a moment that was very out of character for him, cheered alongside the other guys as they all kicked Garms dead body while cheering more

"Wow…" Yang simply said the others couldn't help but agree at how much their boys seems to into this

"Hm. Well boys will be boys, heh. Still where is Ruby, Blake, Rin and Kianna?" Elizabeth asked as she was still a little worried she those four were the last to be seen

But thankfully a second or so after Elizabeth asked that. Ruby, Blake, Kianna and Rin came out finally. Rin holding Kianna up by the shoulder while Ruby was being given a piggy back ride by her future sister in law Blake. Though as they came out they were met with the sight of well… their boys cheering like mad men while the kicked the corpse of what the assumed was Garm who had no face left.

"Do we want to know?" Blake questioned as she aimed that to the other girls here. All of them just nodding a silent 'No'. Blake sighed some wondering why their boy from before and now were so… odd at times. Though she and the others didn't have much room to talk considering the insanity they'd been part of ever since coming this era four years ago

That said none of the ladies said anymore and let their boys get their excitement and what they assumed adrenaline out of their systems. They just hoped it would be soon enough and they hoped their boys and other boys wouldn't act like this again. But that was probably asking too much, oh well it was part their charm and the girls couldn't help but smile at that fact.

"So… we're all good then?" Elizabeth asked as she and everyone else were taking a few minutes now to rest up. That and relax their bodies as they sat on the couches. The girls all happily nodded that they were indeed fine, then she eyed their boys who finally had calmed down enough. All of them, even Zaeed who barley showed it were pretty embarrassed once they realized their behavior "ALL of us?"

"Yep…" Garrus answered first scratching his cheek with a sheepish grunt

"Ready as ever commander." Fixer very calmly answered himself. Though the everyone could tell he was probably red in the face from embarrassment at how he behaved most of all

"Fuck whatever." Emile answered in his usual way the girls had come to expect, they let it be even if they weren't real happy about the tone of his voice with them just then

"None of you fucking talk about this alright." Zaeed simply said in a semi-stern tone arms crossed and never. EVER going to let word of this get out, he'd never live it down rep or not

"Anyway ah…. ahem, what now?" Thorn asked as he at least was the quickest to just let it be and accept he had a moment

"Well since were technically done here." Elizabeth answered as she eyed Garrus, Kianna and then Ziara "To be honest we came here only for Archangel at first. That said we would love it if you'd join us Garrus, same goes to you Kianna, Zaira. We have a mission I can explain more on our new ship. So what do you say, will you join?"

"Do you really have to ask Elizabeth?" Garrus teased smirking some and let out a small chuckle

"Yeah come on Lizzy. We're family and family helps family. Simple as that." Kianna remarked as she gave Elizabeth big old smile

"So anyways when do we get going. Much as I loved this place well… I'd like to leave soon." Ziara asked happily, if not somewhat somber too as Garrus and Kianna could only silently agree with Ziara there; especially Garrus

"Right now. Come on lets head out and get back to the ship. Oh and trust me on this, you are all gonna be surprised with it!" Elizabeth answered getting up and feeling pretty well about this mission and how it went

Yep. This mission though could have gone better, MUCH better at some points. Had gone well enough that she could call this her first official-official mission accomplished. So as she got up everyone else did too and they all started to make their way back to the bridge to cross it before they booked it out.

It's master had tasked it with a mission.

It's designation was 0987162390 in the army of its master. Though it was also had been nicked named in the era before where it was built, the nicknamed being Command Droid. It's full nickname though from what it's master told it was 09-CD.

So here it was. Standing onto a building with a rocket launcher from its era. Ready to use to possibly assassinate its targets. If it didn't it's master had said that was fine too, as long as they were either injured or killed. It would be fine as it's master wanted to send a message one way or another.

With those orders, 09-CD now waited and waited having watched the oddness of the organics take out the mercs. It had been surprised a bit at the quick thinking of the armored one with carved in skull helmet at the end. If it had been organic it would have gushed a bit like fan of something at how as the organics say 'Cool' or 'Badass' that had been. But 09-CD was not organic, no it was a droid. One with a mission.

So now at this moment. 09-CD finally found the right time to strike. Having waited for a minuet more the group of organics walk onto the bridge. Seeing the organics in a line of sorts as it followed the one it's master called Grandmother Elizabeth and the other one that had been called Garrus Vakarin. No waiting anymore 09-CD aimed it's rocket at two who lead the group as they seemed to converse. A few seconds more and right when they were in the center of the bridge 09-CD pulled the trigger.

Not even a few seconds passed as 09-CD heard the missile launch making a loud echo, as it headed quickly towards the targets Elizabeth and Garrus. Then it saw the target Garrus yell something as he pushed target Elizabeth back away from him as the missile made contact with the ground near target Garrus. After that 09-CD would have stayed to see if the target Garrus was dead or injured but it's systems flared up narrowly avoiding a blast. Looking back the rest of target group, it saw the only one that saw it. A clone commando, that wasn't good. So 09-CD booked it almost getting clipped a few times, 09-CD would report back to its master on this development.

This was 09-CD's first mission success though, even though 09-CD knew it hadn't been programed with emotions or a sense of self it…. HE, couldn't help but be proud of HIS work right now as he jumped and ran away in the roof tops. 09-CD wondered if his master would give him upgrades for his good work. That and he wondered if he'd be assigned to attack the targets again.

He would like that very much.

It was nice. So very nice.

At least if you asked the girls of team RWBY as they walked behind Elizabeth and Garrus who were chatting up like old times. Then the four looking back to see the others of their team doing the same with each other, alongside Kianna and Ziara. It was all so very nice for their first mission to wrap up as.

Honestly when they had all gotten back off that planet they found their new cremates on. They had some time to shower and rest, so they all did. Each girl of team RWBY wondering and pondering on how things would be during that small break. They wondered if they could get at least get a bit of Alliance help for one, two they all had wondered if the Citadel would be of help along with wondering if Elizabeth was still a Spectre.

But most importantly for each girl of team RWBY as they had gotten comfy to slumber for a while then. Was how the people of this galactic community would react to Elizabeth being alive, them alive and all their new allies in general. They wondered and worried some considering how people had looked at them and their group from Remnant when they first started popping up.

Still the girls right now quiet as can be after the rather intense and if no odd, along unnecessarily gory mission. All four just enjoy the fact they got not only Garrus on their team, but also Kianna and Ziara. Yep everything at the moment was as good as it cou-

"ELIZABETH WATCH OUT!"

It had happened so fast. One second it was peaceful and happy for everyone, next thing they all were covering their faces as an explosion blasted against the ground. Followed by what the girls could tell was Fixer shoot upwards at something. Not mention a slight ring to their ears as they uncovered their faces seeing Elizabeth getting back up. The girls running right up to her not even moments later.

"Oh my gosh, you okay mom?" Ruby asked as her mother blinked a few times like she was slightly out it "Mom?"

"I-I'm fine… really. But….. OH GOD GARRUS!" Elizabeth answered getting her bearing back quick enough after the sudden attack. Only to come fully to it when she saw a barley visibly breathing Garrus laying on his side with his back facing them all and….oh a lot of purple blood pooling around him suddenly. Elizabeth running to him as she was in panic "GARRUS!"

The girls followed behind quickly as they ran right up to Garrus to see…oh gosh…oh… oh no….

"Garrus…." Weiss muttered wide eyed in horror alongside the girls

Blakes cat ears flopped down as she began to tear up in silent horror, Ruby was covering her mouth as she began to tear up quickly and Yang pupils shrunk down to size of pins as she also teared up. All of this from the sight of Garrus and his rather… shredded left side of his face along with his scorched left side of his armor. Not to mention to faint pain and blood filled groans of Garrus trying to stay away and fight through the intense pain he was experiencing so far.

"Holy fucking shit!" Emile suddenly yelled as he and the others came up now to see Garrus also wounded

"We need to get him some help now!" Kianna screamed as she like Ruby teared up while Ziara held her close seeing basically their battle brother so injured now

"FIXER GET OVER HERE!" Helena in a rare form screamed as the clone commando who stopped firing and ran up to them. Seeing Garrus and already kneeling down next to him scanning the Turian

"Damn. Not good." Fixer swore as he already was applying medi-gel to Garrus face

"What, what's wrong is he gonna die?" Rin questioned as she may have not known the Turian barely a day, but she he seemed to be a good one so she was worried

"Not unless we get him out here and stat. The medi-gel is doing its work but he's needs immediate surgery." Fixer answered as he looked to Elizabeth "Commander."

"W-What?" Elizabeth replied back as she had been in trance seeing Garrus like this

"Commander. We need to get Garrus out of here now, call in the shuttle for an emergency pick up here. If we try running him to the Normandy he could lose a lot more blood." Fixer firmly explained as he made a mental note to bring up with Doctor Chakwas about his new commanders mental state. Mainly since he noticed that freeze up and knew it all too well at either rookie commanders or very traumatized commanders

"R-Right ah… Emile, Rin, Zaeed, Thorn. Keep an eye out just in case our attacker isn't g-gone." Elizabeth said as the four just nodded before getting their weapons prepped keeping an eye on the roof tops that surrounded them. Elizabeth then looked to the others "Kianna, Ziara, Helena, Okita run back into the base to see if you can find a med kit or anything to help Garrus out."

Again the next four named just nodded before quickly running back towards the base in some hope they would find something if anything to help Garrus out. Elizabeth meanwhile calmed her nerves looking at her girls now, both adopted and to be in laws. She couldn't blame them for their stunned silence and tears as they just stared at the wounded Garrus being treated by Fixer to the best of his abilities.

"Girls…. GIRSL!" Elizabeth said at first with no luck. Then raised her voice as that got their attention as they shakily looked to her. Elizabeth felt her heart almost break at how horrified her girls were. But she did her best to steel herself "G-Girls. You four and I are going to… to stay right here. Make sure Garrus stays awake while Fixer does what he can t-to keep him stable… okay?"

The girls just nodded wiping their own tears away as they all moved around Garrus and Fixer. Each one of them silent yet making sure he would keep awake as his eye stared at them in half dazes of pain, confusion and even a bit of fear for his life.

But for the girls of team RWBY. The once now happy moment of a mission well done, had turned into a nightmare. Still unknown to those not of team RWBY, the girls at this moment had made an oath in silence to one another and galaxy itself. They would never let something like this happen again if they could help it. Never again. Even if it killed them. That was team… no.

This was a promise of four Goddesses.

Same old, same old but that was what she loved…

In the Presidium District of the Citadel, in a very large and well off home built on a private plot of land. Was the Anderson's Residency that was home to one Cinder Anderson, plus the siblings Emerald and Mercury Anderson who'd be starting their first year in high school soon enough.

For the past four years, Ambassador Anderson or Cinder either worked, had become quite a well known figure amongst the populace of the Citadel itself. Mainly for being a kind, loving soul that won the hearts of all who came into contact with her for the most part. Be it rich, poor or middle classed. She somehow had a knack for connecting with all and not just humans as one would assume despite her being the Earths Ambassador. Cinder also had won the hearts of many of the alien races who came to view her as a prime example of human nobility.

Still after four years and that… day once upon a time. She had done as much as she could to help break down the barriers from those who would try to keep a wedge in between the friendships she was trying to bridge. Helped to that her brother David Anderson a Counciler on the Citadel Council was always willing when he could with her project. Be they for helping those in the lower class be able to financially find stability with no strings attached, the in middle class dealing with random rising taxes from time to time depending on the month of year or making sure the richer side of their home stayed honest. Everything was done to improve relations for all.

Now that didn't mean everyone loved her or liked her. Some of those like the extremists in the Pro-Human alliance called her traitor or alien sympathizer. While the extremists of the Anti-human Parliament saw her as just a faker in this genuine kindness she showed. Saying it was some kind of 'Devious', that word made Cinder always role her eyes. But some kind of devious plan to pacify the other races so that humans could take over easier. Again both sides made Cinder sick at how jaded and spiteful they were. But for every good there was bad as her brother said sometimes.

Though there was… one more thing that had occurred for Cinder. As yes she was the Earths Ambassador, but she also was the Remnant's Ambassador too. Now for those confused on how that happened. Simply put that during the year when… that incident happened. She had been getting use to her position and low; and behold someone tried to off her in the middle of the Presidium in broad daylight when she was with her kids that day. The assassin a Pro-human member who wanted to take her out, but had failed miserably. How, well Cinder at the time had been able to hide behind some kiosks with her kids at the initial attack, only to see her darling little girl had been shot in the arm crying some as her brother did his best to comfort her.

That had been what caused what happened next to even occur. As Cinder seeing one of her precious babies hurt like that had made the woman go into some kind of semi-rage. One where she stood up and was shot at. Only to the shock of the assassin and those pedestrians nearby either hiding or recoding now. But to the shock of all there as Cinder had somehow gotten an aura. Like those of the Remnant. That and she started to burn the man alive with firing coming for her own hands. By the end the assassin had been killed and many had seen/ recorded the one sided battle. To make a long story short some wondered if she was really human and she was, but apparently she also was half Remnant or at least had similar genic as those of Remnant thanks to blood they donated for study.

Now Cinder knew why that was as she and her kids had meet their past lives four years ago and though Cinder; and her past self didn't get along or had spoken since four years ago when she just vanished. Hadn't thought she could actually get full control over her semblance that at one point again four years ago, had started up in small sparks here and there. But that day when she almost was killed and saw one of her babies hurt had apparently awakened her Remnant genes.

After that though she was given role to also be the Ambassador for the small number of Remnant's still around and possible more if they more were alive somewhere. Cinder had done well in that regard too for the most part as she was able to make sure the Codex Index on them was properly written and fact checked by said races members. Had given them enough credits to set them up for life as they earned it for all they and…. team RWBY did for them four years ago against Sovereign; and given her the chance to help more then she even though she could.

Though despite her best attempts, many people were still felt… off about them at times. To most they seemed like ungodly forces of nature, which also included her too and some even talked about them being some kind of spies or something for a huge Empire from another galaxy along with other silly rumors. Didn't help either for any of them that they couldn't hide much, they all had very distinctive appearances. Though don't even get her started on the paparazzi that still hounded the Remnant when they could.

But all in all despite the setbacks, issues and stresses Cinder never had regrated any of it. Now all she had to do today was think on what to have for dinner. She wonder if she should cook up some-

"Mom, you in the kitchen?" The voice of her daughter Emerald asked much more mature now, of course that made sense too considering she was nearing turning fourteen before school started like her brother

"I am sweetie!" Cinder answered back smiling even if she felt some sadness at hearing her daughters once baby voice turned more mature now. Seconds later though her daughter came into the room

Ah Emerald Anderson, even at this age one could tell she would be a very beautiful young lady. Her lightly dark skin, red crimson eyes and well-kept long lovely mint colored hair made sure of that. Not to mention too that since she was born from Cinder's womb and had her DNA inside. She had inherited very clearly her mother's… assets. At least from Cinder could see as she remembered looking like how her daughter did now before how she was today, avid many slight shorter than her daughter.

That said Cinder smiled as she looked upon her more mature daughter, her frame having gained that hour glass shape, along with being more lean and slender yet elegant too. Not to mention Emerald's face had narrowed some from her maturity and yet she had her innocent sweet smile still. Cinder only smiled at that, but also took notice of her daughters… attire.

That attire being at the moment a sleeveless black tank top and a pair of dark green short-shorts. Avid even if Cinder didn't like her daughter wearing such clothing even if technically it wasn't THAT revealing. That along with her thankfully wearing bra and the short- shorts stopping mid-way on her thighs. Cinder again did NOT care much for her daughters choice in clothing the past few years, she just wished her baby girl would go back to wearing her cute dresses.

"Hey mom. Just wanted to see if you were home, because if not I would have left a note for you." Emerald said kindly as she took a seat on a chair next to Cinder in the kitchen

"Whatever for sweetie?" Cinder asked as she wondered if today was the day

"Well Mister Victus is coming for a week visit with his son Tarquin. You know those two always love to see us so I wanted to meet them at the docks!" Emerald cheered in glee

That made Cinder smile, mainly on the two Turians they had meet. How that happened, well about a year after the event with Sovereign. Cinder had taken it upon herself to visit Paladin with her kids to try and broker for more stronger diplomatic ties between the Turians and humanity. Mostly to help mend the still tenseness between the two races and it worked fairly well. That said she and her kids had been given two guards to keep an eye on them while on Paladin. One of their best and a recruit that was with the veteran for more private training. That being Adrien Victus and his son Tarquin. Both of them though mostly all military during the week on Paladin had been very personable too. Enough that the two families became friend and kept in good contact. Though Cinder had to admit, she had found Adrien rather… charming at times when they spoke. Especially when she swore he was flirting with her just a bit. That and flowers he sent her a bit a month ago that she'd been happily keeping care of since in a vase near the sink. She blushed some as her heart raced again from the nice memories. Something her daughter notices easily.

"Hm well I can see you're happy about that mom. I'm sure if you want, me and Mercury could take Tarquin around the citadel for a bit. I'm sure you and Adrien could use some… hehe… alone time." Emerald teased her mother

"E-Emerald I ah… I don't know what you're going on about young lady. Me and Adrien are JUST friends. That's all." Cinder tried to scold her daughter even if that was total lie and she knew it, just as much as her daughter did

"Friends right mom. Like he totally never took a gander at your backside when he thought you weren't looking." Emerald mused as she counted down from three to one at the response she knew her mother would have

"HE DID, HE DID?" Cinder asked wide eyed with a smile on her face. Before she quickly caught herself and sat back down. Clearing her throat as she tried to compose herself even though her cheeks blushed with joyful glee "Ahem. Well then I-I will have a talk with him about treating me like a proper woman and to more um… respectful. Yes THAT."

"Hehe. Whatever you say mom." Emerald teased some as she lifted her right foot up and pulled out a vial of green nail polish as she started to paint her toe nails like she usually did. Since she'd come to like wearing sandals a lot so she might as well make her toe nails pretty. Still she couldn't help but tease her mom just one more time before she gave some mercy to her mother "That said. Mom if you and Adrien get busy. At least leave a sock or note on the front door so me, Mercury and Tarquin don't get traumatized kay?"

"EMERALD?!" Cinder yelled in utter embarrassment at what her daughter just said, that and the sudden thoughts that came there. She though sighed and slumped back in her chair as her daughter chuckled some, then went back to painting her toe nails. Though Cinder decided to steer the conversation away from her own lov… friendly relationship with the handsome…. NICE Turian named Aderin "Emerald where's your brother anyways. I know it's a Saturday but he could have at least given me a heads up just in case."

"Mom he's fine, he's a big boy OKAY?" Emerald slight sassed as she knew her mother still liked to baby them. Which she and her brother always would love, but sometimes their mother could go a bit too far with it "Anyways he's just out in the Zerka Ward."

"What, why would he be down there?" Cinder questioned as she didn't like her son going to places a bit more dangerous then the areas up here. Even if with her help and Captain Bailey's, said areas were quite safer for the most part

"He just likes exploring that's all mom. Sheesh." Emerald answered slightly annoyed on her brothers behalf. Cinder wanted to scold her daughter on her tone just now. But as she was about to, a beep came from her omni-tool as Cinder took a gander

Emerald just ignored it as she kept on painting her toe nails, which she was on now her middle toe. Still as she began with painting her middle toe nail she couldn't help but sigh some. She didn't know why but last night she had memories of… old friends. Mainly four girls who were her idols even now, team RWBY. They had been so kind to her and her brother when they spent a bit of time on the Normandy back then. She also remembers how devastated she was when she heard the news of their deaths… apparent deaths as their bodies, along Miss Elizabeths hadn't been found among the ruins of the Normandy before the debri feel down into orbit of that ice plant whatever its name was again. But before she could think more on her dreams last night her mother caught her attention.

"WHAT?" Cinder yelled as Emerald flinched a bit as she stopped painting her toe nails, put the brush back in the vail and turned her focus on her mother who was reading something wide eyed. Emerald was curious on what got her mother so surprised in the first place

"Mom. What are you reading?" Emerald asked as she wondered what kind of news could get her mom so surprised

"I…um… Emerald. You cannot tell anyone about this, is that understood?" Cinder for a moment said a bit still in shock before she came back to her senses to address her daughter

"Mom what are you-" Emerald began to ask before her mother abruptly cut her off

"Is that understood young lady?" Cinder asked in more stern and serious tone as Emerald knew that tone all too well whenever her mother had some news that was either grave or just plain mind blowing

"Y-Yeah mom… I'm sure Mercury would say the same too." Emerald replied back

"Oh he will. Anyways for your question, come over here." Cinder stated as Emerald took a moment before moving over to her mother. Cinder showed her daughter the file on her omni tool as she waited before seeing Emerald cover her mouth with gasp. Then turning her focus on Cinder herself "Do understand now why I ask you that?"

"I… I…. yeah. B-But mom are sure you this is real. This just seems too…too…" Emerald began to say as she was a mix of shock yet crying tears of joy at said news

"It is, you know as well as I do the team that was sent to keep an eye on the Omega is one of the best. Not to mention the pictures included with what you read." Cinder answered with an understating smile

Said photo were of a woman who looked JUST like the deceased Elizabeth Shepard, avid different a bit too. That and with her were from what the picture could tell. Individuals with odd appearances and armor, heck one had katana strapped to her side. But those also with the supposed Elizabeth were four young ladies.

Ones that couldn't be fakes or whatever, they were too distinct in appearance for anyone to copy easily even with their technology today. As these four young ladies look like older, long haired versions of team RWBY. Again it was hard to say this was all fake and such. Not to mention said agents in that area felt this was urgent enough to send all the way to Cinder herself so that had meant something.

"It is sweetie… it is." Cinder simply answered her daughter once more as she sighed "I'll have to get into contact with your uncle soon. He'll definitely want to see this, that and hopefully we can keep this from blowing up too much. Well at least for a while."

"Yeah… but… but what does this mean mom?" Emerald questioned as she was very happy about this yet scared while wiping of few of her happy induced tears away

Emerald didn't why either. Honestly it seemed silly to be scared by the fact people you looked at as family and in her case four girls you saw as idols even now were alive. But for some reason seeing this brought an uneasy feeling to Emerald. One that screamed things weren't going to stay the same much longer. Why… again, no idea and that was a bit irking.

Cinder herself didn't have an answer as she just pulled in her baby girl for hug, who herself quickly accepted. All that could be said though was that there must be a reason for this apparent revival of dead family. But one thing was for sure.

Yay, glad to see you read the chapter. So how was it, too short, too long, etc. Either way I did like where this chapter went and as you can tell I did try to do somethings different here and there for my own sanity. Mainly just skipping certain parts that though full of dialogue, etc Most of us have heard over and over again as we replayed ME2 at one point or another. Though I will say I may come back to this chapter and add more when eventually I want to update said chapter.

Okay that point done all I do hope again you like what I decided to do this chapter, I wanted to get it out, so I put a few ideas I had originally for this section of the story in the back of my head for the moment. Again, until I get back to this chapter to implement said ideas one day.

Oh and if you're wondering on a few things when it comes to the new teammates from the other eras. Like if you think you noticed anything different or such. Maybe that was on purpose… maybe it wasn't. Who can say.

Anyways I guess I didn't have much to say, but I do apologize again for making you all wait. I always feel bad when I have to make you all wait, I know that feeling all to well with fics I like a lot.
