*COMPLETE* I finished FFIII/VI on a saved game ages ago and said to myself: "That ending was nothing!" I was pretty annoyed that the designers felt they could mess around in Mode 7 and call it an ending for a game that had an incredible plot. Short fic in honor of the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy 6. It's been one year since the world changed forever, and on a small island, a former general of the Empire slowly learns that her life has meaning, even though the cost of the lesson is high.

On the Floating Continent where Emperor Gestahl offers Celes the chance of ruling the world with him...and Kefka. All she has to do is kill Terra and the Returners, rather then doing that goes to stab Kefka instead. However before she could carry this out so something unexpected happens.

[FFIV] Heroes aren't always automatically granted a happily ever after... sometimes, winning is only the start of the battle. Kain, Rydia, Edge and the aftermath of victory. (This story began before the creation of Interlude / After Years / Dissidia and is non-canon-compliant after the initial game.)

The time to defeat Kefka is nigh, but Terra needs to say goodbye to someone in case the attack doesn't go according to their plan.

Jack Garland and Princess Sarah find themselves in a tropical paradise they do not know, but seeing it as a chance to be with each other, they decide to take the opportunity to indulge each other's romantic feelings.
