Jim has no mentor, no one to show him the ropes so he stays in his same ways. What happens when he boards ship with a pirate in the same position as him?

Sliver was absolutely wasted.

his face was red and his eyes were so far gone he wasnt sure sliver could see

" uhh.. sliver?" Jim called out

"sliver?" Jim said in his face

"AhhhHG JimBo, take a sseat ladd" sliver slurred joyfully.

sliver patted the seat next to him at the booth he occupied. It was far from the stage so the music wasnt as loud. "thus might as well be a club" jim thought noting all the drugs and loud music around him.

"you know, jimbo, I quite like you ladd, i feel absolutely tarrble that you dad left a special boy like you." Sliver began. "I also feel so bad that when we turn on you lads id be betraying youu. Jimbo, whys'd doesnt ye join us!? So that way id bever hace to leave ya side and betraying yous" slivers voice became faster more excitied.

" sliver what are you talking about?" Jim replied "your drunk"

"oh jimmy lad, ima piratee. Arrggg" sliver laughed

"stay here, im going to get something to sober you up. Your talking nonsense and we have to get going"jim got up and made his way to the bar

" excuse me sir, can you get me something to sober up my friend?"

"hm". The bartender said he walked away and brought him a glass of clear slime.

"thank you" jim tipped the last 3/4 coins he had and walked back to sliver.

the bartender looked over to the alien who was sitting across at the bar.

"that kid would fetch a nice price at the slave markets" the alien said

"yeah, young, stonger, and im assuming a sailer" the bartender responded.

jim gave sliver the smile and sliver drank it thinking it was another round of ale, like clockwork sliver began sobering up fast.

"so your a pirate" jim said.

"uhhh..." sliver said losty

"you know, this planet's alcohol was wayy stronger than i thought" sliver implied

"so your a pirate" jim pressed though gritted teeth.

"i can't believe it, i held so much trust in you sliver. I believe you better." Jim said angrily

"jimbo wait lad let me-"

jim got up and left the pub

jim didn't get far before he was grabbed from behind

"really, sliver? Trying to grab me before i reach the boat? I thought you were a pirate" jim said sarcastically while his eye were cover and hands being pinned.

"HEY" he heard sliver yell from afar

"JIMBO! Let go of that boy!"

jim relised the people who snagged him wasn't sliver.
