A Veteran talks about the background of the Locust War... (Wrote this to get back into writing. it's been a while so I am a bit rusty. I know I skip over Gears of War, but as the start of the series I find it the most accessible, the lore of the later games can sometimes feel skipped over thanks to the addition of the novels, just wanted to make it feel more accessible)

Ethan Carmine is the youngest of the Carmines, he was only 17 years old when he joined the COG, but was pressed into service before he could finish his training. When he's assigned to Delta Squad along with his big brother Benjamin, he'll have to learn fast and fight hard in order to survive.
