after the group successfully escaped they had to find a way back home to montresser, now jim left that up to the captain.

"they're are no bloody supplies in this ship, but then again i didn't expect any. On the contrast, this ship's engine could get us to montresser within a week without stops. And we'll need to refuel and supply before we blow the engines. if im not mistaken, we should be coming arcoss an planet within a few" amila reported.

"i-i I umm, think id be best if jim and sliver stayed on the ship while me and the captain, um, resuppled. " doc stated. " its a big and noticeable ship covered with treasure and the pirates corpse for crying out. Someone will have to defend it and keep it hidden while we resupply. And who better than jim and an ex-pirate"

"I believe the doctor is correct." Amila seconded

"alrighy' then, me an' jimbo here willa stay aship" sliver agreed.

over the next few hours Jim was quite, he didnt sit near the group he just kept at the wheel of the ship. The group didnt mind or seem to notice due to BENs attention needing attitude.

when they finally reached the planet amila spoke of, doc and amila hopped off and made haste while jim and sliver stared the ship away. There plan was to be back in an hour at the spot they left them at. Jim told BEN to set a timer for an hour and stay keeping watch.

"alright jimbo, out wit it lad" sliver said walking up next to jim by the wheel.

"whats next sliver..? I go home.. back to my life... to my mom.. back to myself? My habits? I dont want my life back. I wanna be with you, i wanna stay with you da-" jim stopped. He was speaking too fast and almost ruined something.

sliver was more than over joyed to hear that jim wanted to stay with him. "Jimbo. Youve got a gift. I seem to think so and so does captin' whats say you become a captin? An officer?"

"i thought about it but with a record like mine forget it. And it would cost an insane amout of mo-...well i guess that doesnt matter as much. But still sliver what about my mom?"

"mhmm, well lad. Ye hear my 30, with alla treasure ia buy a nice house and settle down somewhere ye and morphy can vist when ye not in school, ima should captin' certainly can pull a few strings for an impressive lad like yeself, we could go on any adventures and discover anythin.. but only if ya want.." sliver ranted in a tone as if he were telling a dream.

" really sliver you mean it? You'd take me in?" Jim in disbelief. Jim turned to face sliver with a big smile on his face. Sliver was shocked.. the scar on jims face seemed to double, catching him off guard. Sliver continued his composure and replied.

"of course son, but i at least suggest ye at least see ya mum. Maybe all this time away made her miss ya"

"maybe your right..." jim replied going back to starring ahead into the cosmos

"TIMES UPP JIMMY" BEN said jumping on jims back.

the three met up with the captain and doc.

"seemn like some loverbirds got lucky" sliver teased from the ship

" watch it, i can still have you arrested" Amelia snaped back.

they refueled and ate crackers and preservatives.

the next three days were filled with stargazing, crackers and preservatives amilea teaching jim flying tips, silver, and Jim talking about their future and plans for when they got to montresser, BEN nearly making everyone deaf and lots and lots of laughter. Jim would've compared it to a sleepover or camping trip if it wasn't so traumatic.
