I don't anything related to My Hero Academia except for my OCs
The day of the U.A. entrance exam had finally arrived. Izuku stood frozen before the towering gates of the prestigious U.A. High School. His heart pounded so loudly he was sure others around him could hear it. He wiped his clammy palms on his pants, his fingers trembling slightly as he took a deep breath.
"This is it," he whispered, more to himself than anyone else. "Everything I've worked for… it all starts today."
The memory of All Might's words played on repeat in his mind: "You have to be strong, not just for yourself, but for everyone who believes in you."
With that, he forced his feet forward.
As he joined the sea of aspiring heroes, their confidence and determination radiated off them in waves. Izuku felt small, insignificant in comparison. His insecurities clawed at him, threatening to drag him down.
"Focus, Izuku," he muttered, clutching his notebook tightly as if it were a lifeline. "You belong here. You've earned this chance."
His anxious musings were abruptly interrupted when he tripped over his own feet. Before he could brace himself for the inevitable impact, he felt weightless. A warm voice reached his ears.
"You okay?"
Startled, Izuku looked up to see a kind-faced girl with a reassuring smile.
"Y-Yeah," he stammered, scrambling to his feet. "Thank you!"
"No problem!" she said cheerfully, brushing off his awkwardness like it was nothing. "I'm Ochaco Uraraka, by the way."
"Izuku Midoriya," he replied, still red-faced.
Her genuine kindness felt like a small ray of light piercing through his storm of nerves.
Izuku sat stiffly in the crowded auditorium, his nerves bubbling under the surface as Present Mic's enthusiastic voice explained the rules of the practical exam. His focus wavered as doubts crept into his mind.
"What if I can't destroy any robots?" he thought, gnawing on his lip. "What if I fail before I even get started?"
When the gates to the exam area opened, Izuku hesitated. He felt like the world was moving in fast-forward as students surged forward with confidence, immediately taking down robots left and right.
"I have to move!" he thought desperately, forcing himself into action.
His initial attempts were clumsy, but he managed to destroy a smaller robot with sheer determination. Each success, no matter how small, gave him a flicker of hope.
That hope was tested when the zero-point robot appeared, its enormous frame shaking the ground as it approached. Gasps and screams erupted around him as most students fled in terror.
"Run! It's not worth the points!" someone shouted.
Izuku froze. His legs refused to move as he stared at the mechanical behemoth.
Then, he heard it—a cry for help.
His gaze snapped to the source. Uraraka was pinned under a pile of rubble, her face contorted in pain. Without thinking, he sprinted toward her, his fear dissolving into pure determination.
"This is my chance," he thought, adrenaline coursing through him. "I can't stand by and do nothing!"
Summoning every ounce of power One For All had given him, Izuku leapt high into the air. The force of his punch shattered the robot's head, sending debris flying. The pain in his arm was immediate and excruciating, but he didn't care. He landed hard, his body screaming in protest, but he crawled toward Uraraka to ensure she was safe.
Days later, Izuku stared at the envelope in his hands, too afraid to open it. His mother sat beside him, her hands clasped tightly in her lap.
"You've got this, Izuku," she said softly, her voice wavering with emotion.
When he finally opened it, All Might's hologram appeared, congratulating him on his acceptance. Tears streamed down Izuku's face as his mother hugged him tightly, pride radiating from her.
On his first day at U.A., Izuku's excitement was mixed with overwhelming anxiety. The hallways buzzed with energy as students made their way to their respective classes. When he found Class 1-A, his breath hitched at the sight of the massive, state-of-the-art classroom.
"It's so real now," he thought, stepping inside.
The room filled quickly. Izuku recognized Uraraka, who waved at him enthusiastically, and Tenya Iida, who greeted him with his usual formal precision.
Then, a boy with sharp, calculating eyes entered and took a seat near the front: Hitoshi Shinso. His quiet confidence was palpable, and Izuku couldn't help but feel intrigued by him.
After Aizawa's blunt introduction and announcement of the quirk assessment test, the students began chatting. The topic of The Revenants inevitably arose.
"They're nothing but villains," Bakugo spat, his tone venomous. "Cowards who attack from the shadows. They deserve to be locked up or worse."
Shinso, who had been observing quietly, finally spoke. "Not everyone sees it that way."
The room fell silent as Shinso continued. "They've exposed corruption, fake heroes who abuse their power. That's more than a lot of so-called pros can say."
Bakugo's glare could've melted steel. "They're criminals. End of story. If you're dumb enough to defend them, maybe you belong in jail too."
Shinso didn't flinch. "And maybe if the hero system actually worked, people like them wouldn't exist in the first place."
The tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife. Izuku sat in silence, torn. While he admired heroes like All Might, he couldn't deny the growing cracks in the system.
The quirk assessment test was brutal. Bakugo excelled with his raw power, while Shinso impressed everyone with his tactical use of brainwashing. Izuku struggled but pushed himself to the limit, surprising Aizawa with his perseverance.
By the end of the day, the students were physically exhausted but brimming with excitement. Bonds began forming as they talked and laughed in the hallways.
As Izuku walked home, he reflected on the day's events. The specter of The Revenants lingered in his mind, especially their mysterious leader whose fighting style seemed hauntingly familiar.
"I'll figure it out," he vowed, his determination unwavering. "I'll prove I can be the kind of hero the world truly needs."
Little did he know, the challenges ahead would test him in ways he could never imagine.
The first week at U.A. continued with an energy that felt almost surreal to Izuku. The halls of the school, brimming with the dreams and aspirations of countless students before him, buzzed with the chatter of a new generation of heroes. For Izuku, every step was a mix of pride, anticipation, and a gnawing doubt about whether he truly belonged.
The second day began with an announcement that sent a wave of excitement through Class 1-A.
"Today," Aizawa said, his usual monotone laced with something faintly resembling enthusiasm, "you'll begin Hero Basics Training. And your instructor will be…"
The door slid open with dramatic flair, revealing All Might in his towering glory.
"I AM HERE, COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"
The room erupted into cheers, with Uraraka practically bouncing in her seat. "I can't believe it's really him!"
Even Bakugo smirked, his confidence shining. "Heh. Watch me crush this."
All Might raised a hand, silencing the class. "Today's lesson will test not only your abilities but your spirit as heroes. And what better way to begin than with combat training!"
He gestured toward a row of lockers. "Inside are your hero costumes, designed to match the specifications you submitted. Gear up and meet me at Ground Beta!"
When Izuku opened his locker, his heart swelled. His costume—a green jumpsuit with a hood and a smile-shaped mask—was simple but meaningful. His mother had included a note:
Izuku, I know you'll do great. This is just the start of your journey. Love, Mom.
He clutched the note, tears threatening to spill. "I won't let you down, Mom."
At Ground Beta, the students were divided into pairs. Izuku found himself teamed with Uraraka, and their opponents were Bakugo and Shinso.
"All right, heroes and villains," All Might announced, his voice booming. "The goal is simple: the heroes must neutralize the weapon or capture the villains. Villains, your job is to protect it. Let the training commence!"
Izuku's heart raced as the exercise began. Inside the mock building, he and Uraraka moved cautiously, whispering their strategy.
"Bakugo is probably going to ignore you and focus on me, so I distract him while you deal with Shinso and the bomb." Izuku said
"Are you sure about that?"Uraraka questioned her voice steady despite her nerves.
"I've grown up and watched him for 13 years. I know him better than anyone, and I need to do this." Izuku said, his voice somehow full of confidence. "Also don't respond to anything Shinso says, remember his quirk works by you responding to him."
Meanwhile, Bakugo prowled the halls like a predator, his palms crackling with tiny explosions. "Where are you hiding, Deku? Come out and face me!"
Shinso, on the other hand, stood near the "weapon," his posture relaxed but his eyes sharp. "We don't need to find them," he said coolly. "They'll come to us."
The clash was inevitable. Bakugo found Izuku first, his aggressive nature pushing the encounter into a heated battle. "Don't think you're better than me, Deku!" Bakugo shouted, sending an explosion hurtling toward him.
Izuku barely dodged, his body trembling. He focused, channeling One For All into his legs. The surge of power was intoxicating yet terrifying. "I can't mess this up," he thought. "Uraraka go I got this!" He yelled as he dodged another explosion.
Nodding Uraraka ran off leaving Izuku to deal with Bakugo
Shinso's voice echoed through the halls. "You really think you can win, Uraraka, You don't even belong here."
Her fists clenched, but she stayed silent, remembering Izuku's warning. She pressed forward, finally reaching the "weapon." After a quick battle and Izuku making a massive hole in the building Uraraka touched the "weapon". All Might's voice rang out. "The heroes win!"
The class erupted into cheers, though Bakugo stormed off, muttering curses under his breath.
—
During lunch, the atmosphere was lighter. The students sat in groups, discussing their first real training session.
"I still can't believe we have All Might as a teacher!" Kaminari said, grinning. "How cool is that?"
But the conversation soon shifted when the topic of The Revenants came up. The vigilante group's exploits were all over the news, sparking debates even among aspiring heroes.
"They're villains, plain and simple," Bakugo declared, slamming his tray on the table. "Anyone who breaks the law is no better than scum."
Shinso, sitting across from him, leaned back in his chair. "That's a narrow way of looking at it. What about the fake heroes they've exposed? Or the corruption they've brought to light?"
"They're not heroes," Bakugo snapped. "They're cowards hiding behind masks."
"And what about the real cowards?" Shinso retorted, his gaze unflinching. "The ones who call themselves heroes but look the other way?"
The tension at the table was palpable. Izuku shifted uncomfortably, unsure of where he stood in the debate. He respected Shinso's perspective but couldn't shake All Might's words about justice and the law.
"Maybe there's some truth to both sides," Izuku said quietly, drawing surprised looks. "The system isn't perfect, but breaking the law puts innocent people at risk."
Shinso nodded thoughtfully. "Fair point, Midoriya. But sometimes, change requires breaking a few rules."
By the third day, the class began settling into a rhythm. Bonds started to form as students shared meals, studied together, and supported each other during training.
Izuku found himself spending more time with Uraraka, Iida, and Shinso, their personalities complementing each other. Uraraka's optimism balanced Iida's strict adherence to rules, while Shinso's sharp wit kept things interesting.
"Midoriya, you're way too hard on yourself," Uraraka said during a study session. "You're doing amazing!"
"Thanks, Uraraka," Izuku replied, his cheeks flushing. "I just want to be better."
"You're already better than you think," Shinso added, his tone uncharacteristically encouraging.
Each day brought new challenges, but also new opportunities to grow. As Izuku lay in bed that night, staring at the ceiling, he thought about the road ahead. His place at U.A. felt more secure, but the weight of becoming a hero—one who could truly make a difference—pressed heavily on his heart.
"I'll do my best," he whispered, clenching his fist. "For everyone who believes in me."
The day at U.A. had started like any other, with students eagerly heading to their next exercise in hero training. For Class 1-A, this meant a field trip to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint (USJ). Excitement buzzed through the group as they gathered to board the bus. Discussions about quirks, favorite heroes, and hypothetical battles filled the air, lightening the mood as they speculated about what awaited them.
Even so, a shadow loomed, unnoticed.
In the revenant's lair, La Brava sat at her array of monitors, fingers flying over the keyboard as she monitored various feeds from U.A. High. Her dedication to The Revenants' mission was absolute, and her tech skills allowed her to keep tabs on hero society's most powerful players. Meanwhile Akio and Nagant sat at a nearby table planning their next moves while the rest of the revenants were off doing their own things
"U.A. is moving its students to the USJ," La Brava murmured, her sharp eyes scanning the camera feeds. "Routine training… but still worth watching."
Her fingers stilled when the screen monitoring the USJ's cameras showed a group of villains warping into the building. She called Akio and Nagant over, her voice urgent. "Guys there's villains attacking the USJ at UA."
Akio immediately started getting his suit on "I'm going over there." He responded as he went to leave.
"No you're not. All the teachers are heroes. Let them handle this." Nagant said, her voice firm. "What if you get captured or worse?"
"The teachers may not show up on time and I'm not going to sit here while kids are in danger, I can't." Akio argued as he blasted off toward the USJ
Class 1-A stood in awe as Thirteen explained the various disaster scenarios simulated at the USJ. But their awe turned to confusion when an unnatural dark fog began to materialize in the center of the facility.
"What is that?" Kaminari asked, pointing at the swirling portal.
Before anyone could answer, figures emerged: a swarm of villains led by a disheveled man scratching his neck and a massive, monstrous creature that radiated menace.
Aizawa stepped forward, his scarf unwinding. "Villains. Thirteen, protect the students. I'll handle this."
Izuku's heart pounded as chaos erupted. The Mist villain dispersed the students throughout the USJ with some remaining at the entrance. Aizawa charged into battle, his Erasure quirk and combat skills keeping the villains at bay, but the tide began to turn when the monstrous Nomu the fray.
The creature was terrifyingly strong, shrugging off Aizawa's attacks and countering with brutal efficiency. It smashed him into the ground, leaving him bloodied and defenseless.
As the Nomu raised its massive hand to deliver the finishing blow, a deafening shockwave tore through the air. The impact sent the Nomu staggering back, and a figure emerged from the settling dust: Shattershield, leader of The Revenants.
He stood tall, his steely gaze locking onto the Nomu. The students froze in shock.
"Is that…?" Uraraka whispered, her voice trembling.
"The leader of The Revenants," Iida said, his tone a mixture of awe and fear.
He glanced at Izuku and Shinso. "You him to safety, I'll deal with the big one." Akio
said, his voice commanding as he gestured to Aizawa.
Izuku hesitated, his instincts screaming to stay and fight, but Shinso grabbed his arm. "Come on, Midoriya. He can handle this."
Reluctantly, they obeyed, dragging Aizawa away.
"Really?" Shigaraki cackled. "Nomu here was designed to kill All Might. He has multiple quirks including Regeneration and Shock Absorption. As if a weakling like you can beat him."
"So," Akio said as he took that information in and stepped forward, his eyes narrowing as he studied the Nomu. " This thing was made to defeat All Might."
"Nomu kill him!" Shigraki yelled at the monster.
The Nomu roared in response, charging at Akio with terrifying speed. Akio didn't flinch. With a flick of his wrist, he unleashed another shockwave, halting the creature's advance and forcing it back.
"Let's see if you can beat me first!"
The two clashed in a blur of motion, trading blows at lightning speed. Each strike from the Nomu sent tremors through the ground, but Akio matched its ferocity with precision and raw power.
Both villains and students alike watch in shock from the sheer power that was on display in the conflict.
The battle raged on, neither combatant giving an inch. Akio's shockwaves cracked the walls and shattered the floor, while Nomu's monstrous strength tested the limits of his endurance.
Despite his skill, Akio felt his energy waning. He gritted his teeth. "I'm almost at my limit… I need to finish this."
Finding an opening, he launched Nomu into the air with a powerful shockwave. He leapt after it, grabbing the creature by the arm and spinning it with incredible force before hurling it into the ground. The impact shattered the floor, leaving a massive crater.
Landing beside the dazed creature, Akio yelled for the stunned students to hear. "Time for a lesson, kids."
He grabbed the Nomu by the chest, his fingers digging into its skin as he lifted it above his head. "You may have heard these words before, but I'll show you what they really mean."
He took a deep breath, channeling every ounce of his remaining energy.
"GO BEYOND! PLUS ULTRA!"
With a roar, Akio unleashed an earth-shattering shockwave, obliterating the Nomu in a blinding explosion of energy. The force of the attack left a massive hole in the roof of the USJ.
The air inside the USJ hung heavy, thick with dust and tension. Akio's figure stood at the epicenter of the destruction, his breath ragged, his posture imposing despite his fatigue. The students and teachers remained frozen, their disbelief plastered across their faces.
"That's… the leader of The Revenants," Bakugo growled, his fists trembling with a mixture of anger and uncertainty.
"He saved us," Shinso muttered, his voice resolute despite the turmoil in his eyes.
Akio's gaze swept over them, his expression unreadable but not unkind. "You kids have potential. Don't waste it."
Before anyone could process his words, an earth-shaking explosion erupted at the entrance to the USJ, and the booming voice of All Might shattered the silence.
"I AM HERE! AND I BROUGHT THE OTHER TEACHERS!"
The Symbol of Peace leapt into the scene, his presence radiating strength and hope. Behind him, the other teachers poured in, quickly assessing the chaos. Their reactions were instant as their eyes fell on Akio and the destruction around him.
"That's the leader of The Revenants!" Nezu exclaimed, his small frame vibrating with shock.
Recovering swiftly, the teachers moved to subdue the remaining villains. However, one figure stood frozen.
"All Might," Shigaraki hissed, his hand trembling as he stared at the towering figure.
Kurogiri, ever the strategist, saw the futility of the situation. With the Nomu gone and their forces dwindling, the day was lost. "We must retreat," he said, his voice calm but urgent.
Shigaraki's growl of frustration filled the air as Kurogiri enveloped them in his mist. "This isn't over!" Shigaraki spat as the two disappeared, leaving behind the remnants of their failed attack.
"Well that's my cue to leave." Akio said exhaustion evident in his voice as he turned and started to run towards a hole in the wall of the USJ, but before he could even take two steps he heard a voice yell, "Don't you run you damn villain!"
An explosion tore through the air as Bakugo launched himself at Akio. In one swift motion, Akio sidestepped the blast and grabbed Bakugo's arm, slamming him into the ground with enough force to knock the wind out of him.
"Don't be so reckless, kid," Akio muttered, his tone almost admonishing. Then, without another glance, he turned and resumed his retreat.
Seeing Akio attack one of his students, All Might's face darkened with anger. With a mighty leap, he intercepted Akio just as the Revenant leader used a shockwave to expand the hole in the wall.
A powerful fist collided with Akio's back, sending him hurtling into a pile of rubble.
"Where do you think you're going, villain?" All Might bellowed, his voice filled with righteous fury.
Grunting, Akio pulled himself to his feet, brushing off the dust. "All Might, you can't capture me," he said simply, his tone almost resigned.
"And why is that?" All Might demanded, his fists clenched.
Akio smirked, the expression laced with confidence. "Because I know your little secret."
All Might froze, the weight of those words striking him like a blow.
"I know about One for All," Akio continued, his voice low but unmistakably clear.
For a moment, the great hero faltered, his stance wavering. That hesitation was all Akio needed. He turned and bolted through the hole in the wall, using a powerful shockwave to propel himself toward the sky.
All Might made a move to follow, but his feet remained rooted to the ground. His mind raced with questions and doubts, his usual composure shattered.
The students and teachers regrouped, their faces pale as they processed what had just transpired.
"That guy…" Kaminari began, his voice trembling. "He took on the Nomu. He saved Mr. Aizawa. Is he a hero?"
"He's not a hero," Bakugo spat, still catching his breath. "He's a damn villain!"
"Maybe," Shinso countered, his gaze fixed on the hole where Revenant had disappeared. "But he saved us when no one else could."
All Might rejoined the group moments later, his expression unreadable.
"We'll talk about this later," he said, his voice firm but strained. "For now, everyone focus on what we can do to help those injured."
As the teachers began their cleanup efforts, a lingering tension settled over the group. Akio's actions left more questions than answers, and for the first time, the students of U.A. found themselves questioning what it truly meant to be a hero.
Akio landed heavily just outside the Revenants' hidden lair, his body aching from the confrontation at the USJ. Each step he took into the lair felt like a struggle, but his mind was racing far more than his body protested. The Nomu's disintegration under his final attack played over and over in his mind, as did the faces of the students he had saved.
As the door slid open, the hum of La Brava's computers filled the quiet space. She swiveled her chair around as soon as she spotted him, her wide eyes brimming with concern. "Akio! You're okay!"
"Barely," he muttered, his voice steady but weary.
The rest of the group was already gathered. Stain leaned against the wall, his arms crossed in his usual stern demeanor, while Twice fidgeted nearby, mumbling something to himself. Gentle Criminal and La Brava exchanged knowing looks, while Toga perched on the arm of a couch, her sharp grin gleaming. Lady Nagant stood at the forefront, her arms crossed, her expression hovering between amusement and exasperation.
"Well," Nagant began, her tone laced with teasing as she stepped forward. "Care to explain what we saw back there? You had quite the performance before the feed went dark."
Akio's brow furrowed. "Performance?"
La Brava giggled, spinning back to her console. "Oh, we caught it loud and clear! 'Time for a lesson, kids!'" she mimicked, her voice exaggerated for dramatic flair.
"And then, 'Go beyond! PLUS ULTRA!'" Gentle chimed in, striking a mock-heroic pose. Toga burst into laughter while Twice doubled over, barely able to keep himself upright.
"Classic hero catchphrase," Stain said with a low chuckle, shaking his head. "What were you thinking, Akio?"
Akio sighed, running a hand through his disheveled hair. "It wasn't planned, okay? It just… came out in the moment."
Nagant smirked, stepping closer. "The moment? Really? Admit it—you enjoyed it a little."
"Not a chance," Akio said, though the faintest flush crept up his neck. "I was trying to keep those kids alive. The Nomu wasn't going to wait for a lecture."
"That much was obvious," Gentle remarked, his tone uncharacteristically serious. "But you do realize the irony, don't you? The leader of the Revenants quoting a hero's mantra while taking down a creature designed to kill All Might?"
Toga leaned forward, her eyes sparkling. "You looked so cool, though! Like a real hero! You even had the pose."
"Not our brand of hero," Stain interjected, though his tone lacked its usual edge.
"Admit it, boss," Twice said with a grin. "You kinda liked it! Or maybe that was just me… or was it another me? Wait—"
"Focus, Twice," Nagant interrupted gently before turning back to Akio, her teasing giving way to a more serious tone. "You put yourself on the line out there, Akio. That's not something most would do."
"Someone had to," Akio said, sinking into a nearby chair with a heavy sigh. "That Nomu would've torn them apart."
Nagant sat down beside him, her expression softening as she placed a hand on his shoulder. "And you did good, Akio. But you're not invincible. You need to be careful. You don't have to carry this burden alone."
Her words gave him pause, her touch grounding him in a way he hadn't expected. "I know," he said quietly. "But if I don't do something, who will?"
"We will," Nagant said softly, her voice warm but firm. "Don't forget you have us."
"Boss," La Brava chimed in, her voice more subdued now. "We're with you. Always. Even if you do steal All Might's catchphrases."
The room erupted into laughter, the tension breaking as Akio groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Fine," he said with a reluctant smirk. "Next time, I'll come up with something original."
"You'd better," Nagant teased as she stood. "Because if you yell 'Plus Ultra' again, we might have to revoke your Revenant membership."
As the laughter died down, La Brava cleared her throat, drawing everyone's attention. "We've got to lay low for a bit. The heroes will be on high alert after this."
Akio nodded, his voice returning to its usual calm authority. "We regroup, plan our next move, and monitor their response. For now, get some rest."
The others began to disperse, but Nagant lingered for a moment, her gaze fixed on Akio. "You really do have a hero's heart," she said softly, before turning to leave.
Akio watched her go, her words settling in his mind. A small smile crept onto his face as he leaned back, his thoughts drifting to the students at the USJ. He had saved them, yes—but their impression of him lingered just as vividly.
