Erin and Kim sat in the small restaurant booth that Erin had picked. They were both eating their meals.

"This food is actually good," Kim said with a smile, taking a bite of her chicken.

"It is," Erin agreed with a smile. She hadn't eaten yet, but now she took a bite of her burger. While she ate, she listened to the conversations around her.

Erin was enjoying her time off work. She was in a good mood, not only because she had food in her stomach, but also because she had forgotten about her injuries. She glanced at Kim, who was savoring her meal.

"What do you want to do after this?" Kim asked, sipping her coke. "We're not needed at the district right now," she pointed out.

Erin shrugged. "I don't know. What can we do? It's winter, so we won't be able to do much." She paused, her mind racing with possibilities. "Maybe we can go back to the district and see if Hank and the others have found anything."

Kim nodded. "I guess we can do that," she said, finishing her meal as Erin paid for it.

"You didn't have to do that," said Kim with a grin.

"I know, but I wanted to since I picked the place," replied Erin, standing up. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through her abdomen, causing her to gasp and bend over. Pain flickered in her hazel eyes.

Kim started to speak but stopped when she saw Erin's posture. "Erin!" she exclaimed, rushing to the brunette's side.

"Erin, are you alright?" Kim inquired, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Erin opened her mouth to reply, but pain surged through her body, the back of her head throbbing relentlessly.

"Okay, I'm taking you to Med," Kim declared. Swiftly, she texted Voight an update, ignoring Erin's feeble protests. Kim retrieved Erin's keys and draped her arms around her neck.

A waiter approached, concern etched on his face. "Is everything alright?" he asked.

"My friend is in distress, and I'm taking her to the hospital," Kim explained. "The bill's taken care of. Keep the change." With Erin slumped against her, she made her way to the exit.

A woman nearby noticed Kim's difficulty. "Do you need any assistance?" she offered.

"Thank you," Kim replied. "Yes, please." The woman took Erin's other arm and helped Kim support her.

Kim pushed open the door. "Come in, Erin. Stay with me," she implored as Erin's head began to droop. "Which car is yours?" asked the woman, helping Kim lift Erin out. "My friend's car is right there. We came together," Kim replied, nodding towards Erin's gray Jeep.

The woman nodded, struggling to keep Erin upright as Kim unlocked the car door and opened the back door. "Alright, let's put her in slowly," Kim said, guiding Erin into the backseat, where she lay down on her side.

"Thank you," Kim said to the woman, who nodded. "No problem," she replied and returned inside the restaurant. Kim watched her go before getting into the driver's seat.

Erin squeezed her eyes shut, the pain intensifying. She felt nauseous. "Kim..." she gasped for air. "It's going to be okay, Erin," Kim said soothingly as she sped towards the hospital.

"Kim," Erin whispered, a lump forming in her throat. "I... need... you to pull over!" She gasped for air.

Kim glanced at the mirror and saw Erin's face turn ashen. "Hang in there," she whispered, her voice soothing as she pulled the car over.

Kim exited and opened the back door, assisting Erin as she stumbled out and began to vomit. Kim bit her lip and gently rubbed Erin's back. "Should I call an ambulance?" she asked.

Erin finished vomiting with a grunt. "No... I'll be okay," she said, wiping her mouth on her sleeve. "Just take me to the hospital in the Jeep."

Kim nodded, securing Erin comfortably. "Are you sure he didn't harm you in any other way?" she asked, concerned by the signs of sexual assault. Kim's lips trembled as she contemplated the possibility.

"No... I don't remember... But it feels like a truck ran me over," Erin said, closing her eyes to block the sunlight and suppress the pain.

Kim nodded. She wanted to believe Erin, but wasn't convinced. However, she remained silent and drove quickly towards Med.

The young brunette glanced at her phone as it rang. "Hello?" she answered. "How is she, Burgess?" Voight asked. Kim glanced over her shoulder to see Erin sleeping in the backseat.

"Not good. I had to pull over so she could get sick," Kim said, biting her lip. Despite her reservations, she shared her thoughts. "Voight, I think Erin was raped."

"Are you sure?" Voight asked, his tone harsh. "She's showing the signs, but I don't want to assume. I thought I'd let you know," Kim said, pressing on the gas.

Voight exhaled on the other end. "Okay, I want every test done. I need to know what this guy did to Erin."

"I'll get her tested," Kim promised as she pulled into the emergency parking. "I have to go. I'm at Med."

After hanging up, she got out of the car and walked to the backseat.

Maggie and Will rushed out of Med. "Burgess, what's happening? This is only for—" Maggie began, but was interrupted when Kim helped Erin out of the car, who tried to fall back asleep.

"Sorry, Maggie, but this is an emergency," Kim said, supporting Erin. "Erin was hurt."

Maggie and Will stared in shock. "What happened?" Maggie asked as a nurse brought a bed. "Erin was attacked last night," Kim replied.
