Sasuke left the police station half an hour later with his new documents in hand, consisting of a physical copy and a digital one on the small electronic object that Weiss had given him earlier.

Scroll... He wanted to know who was the idiot who chose this name and why. This has nothing to relate to a real scroll.

When the policeman in charge of documentation asked for one, Sasuke, as would be expected of someone from his world, literally put a scroll on the counter and he could swear he had never seen someone laugh so hard in his life.

Luckily for the policeman, those laughs were not directed at him and his lack of knowledge, taking it all as a successful joke before explaining what his request was about with more understanding than expected.

Seeing an ordinary person, without Aura to protect himself and act against crime, showing a receptive and friendly personality while talking to him freely, made Sasuke think again about what was currently bothering him, especially when seeing a picture of this man with his wife and three small children...

Children who could be killed amidst the chaos of a large-scale battle at any moment if things took the worst turn.

Of course, objectively speaking, this world had survived for thousands of years, so it was extremely unlikely that some entity of power would appear out of nowhere and cause the end of everything.

However, Sasuke was an entity of power that came out of nowhere and could cause the end of everything if he wanted to.

Consequently, Improbable didn't mean impossible.

In addition, there was the fact that he was thrown there by Kaguya, someone who originally didn't belong to his world, let alone Remnant, from what he could tell. In that case, there was a good chance she knew of the existence of this world.

It wasn't random, Sasuke seriously considered that possibility. She was probably aware of this world, that's why she sent me here.

There were a few reasons for this that he could assume were her purpose.

The first was to separate them, Naruto and him, to make it easier to kill them both.

The second, to get rid of Sasuke temporarily until she defeated Naruto and be able to complete her goal before coming at him even more powerful and unstoppable.

The third, to throw Sasuke into this dimension and come at him right away because he was injured and consequently easier to kill, but was taking time to arrive because of the difference in time flow between dimensions and possible meddling by Naruto, which was good since it gave him time to heal.

The fourth, that she wanted to get rid of the two at that time, but Sasuke got in the way of her plans by saving Naruto.

Last was the reason this was the world chosen to send him or send both of them, whatever her initial plan was.

Remnant could be a world marked to be conquered by the Otsutsuki clan.

According to the Sage of the Six Paths, Kaguya was doing all that craziness in the Elemental Nations out of fear of being dethroned and that would only happen at the hands of her fellows.

There were more Otsutsuki.

Sending Naruto and Sasuke to this particular world could very well be a way for Kaguya to give the headache they represented to these other members of her clan to come, but that they still had other stops to make along the way, where Remnant was on the list.

Maybe.

Sasuke was having a headache with so many theories coming up to disturb him.

One thing, however, was that regardless of which of these possibilities was correct or incorrect, Remnant was still destined for doom, either by external factors or the natural course it was taking with its local conflict and creatures of darkness.

In the midst of it all, Sasuke didn't know exactly what to do or even if he should do anything at all, and this constant questioning made his mood worse and worse.

"Sasuke!"

He heard his name called and was met with a Ruby across the street, waving happily at him. Next to her was her sister who seemed anything but happy to see him and Sasuke shared her apathy.

Talk about a headache. He held back the urge to sigh and reluctantly acknowledged the presence of the dreamy girl and the female version of Naruto with lilac eyes. As such, they were both coming at him in their own excited and tense way. What do they want now?

Sasuke thought they were gone by now since there was no reason to stay.

At least, there shouldn't be.

"See, Yang. I told you he was still here and wouldn't take too long in there!" Ruby was right and did well to wait a little longer. "So it means that you lost the bet! Again!"

"I can see that, Ruby. You don't have to keep reminding me." Yang was trying to act normal in this guy's presence, but it wasn't easy after all the conflict that had happened between them. "And what other bet have I lost besides him not being gone yet?"

"The one at the clothing store," Ruby made sure to remind her, being able to taste a new pot of cookies!

"That, huh..." Yang should try to write that one-off since it was Ozpin who learned this guy's name, but she'd let it slide because she wasn't in the mood to contradict her little sister. "Okay, you win."

"Of course I did!" Ruby smiled even wider at the fact that she had finally won against Yang twice in a row, then remembered the boy who couldn't take his eyes off her and blushing. "He, heh... Hi, again?"

"What are you two still doing here?" Sasuke ignored whatever they were doing on his behalf, paying more attention to the fact that Ruby managed to remain causal in his presence after everything that happened in that room. She still looks embarrassed as she regains her sense of reality and is getting along with her sister.

Which was good, since he didn't want to be the reason for a family fight when he himself had experienced an extreme version of that.

"Oh," Ruby looked at Yang, and her sister was hesitating to keep a promise. "Yang, don't you have something to say?"

"I..." Yang was moping around inside, cursing everything she could as she forced a smile to resign herself to fate and talk to this guy, "I think we got off on the wrong foot earlier..."

"Don't tell me," Sasuke interrupted, thinking she was joking by stating the obvious, "Was that before or after you tried to rip my head off and failed miserably?"

Her smile twitched at the growing irritation and Ruby knew what was coming.

"And I would have succeeded if you weren't a fucking monster!" She still wished she had landed that punch, only the gods knew how much!

"Yang!" Ruby huffed, not believing that she was going to start another fight! "You promised!"

"Urgh..." Yang wanted to punch a wall! No, she wanted to punch this guy! Damn the time I got carried away and agreed with her! Promises were becoming something to hate! "All right, I'll...try again."

Her little sister smiled, nodding repeatedly, and Yang decided to approach this guy to be greeted with warm words.

"If you remotely try to attack me again, I swear I'll make you go through that building across the road," Sasuke warned with a narrowing of his eyes and the girl faltered in her steps, and even Ruby looked nervous now, but Yang, after a moment and taking a deep breath, kept coming to him. She either has courage or is just stupid.

Hard to say which of the two.

"I'm sorry for overreacting earlier and attacking you," Yang was bleeding inside, saying each word almost robotically out of sheer obligation and holding out a hand to him along with another forced smile. "What do you say if we put all that behind us and try again?"

Sasuke suppressed the urge to laugh, looking at the outstretched hand and the girl several times until he saw a vein pop on her forehead.

"This is a joke, right?" It could only be, for he had never seen anything stupider than that. "If it wasn't for your sister, I would have put you in the hospital with all your bones broken, earlier." The girl swallowed dryly, more frightened by the avoided possibility and his cold tone than by his implied threat, and even the reddish-black-haired well of naivete was beginning to worry. "Even knowing this, you still want to... 'make up' with me?"

Yang almost broke something with the snap of her neck as she looked at an anxious and expectant Ruby before turning to the guy who was literally testing all limits of her patience.

"Yes...I do," she managed to utter those words with nothing but barely contained anger. Inside, however, it was another story. You bastard son of a bitch! I'm going to smash you to pieces, destroy your pretty little face to the point where your mother can't recognize you, and crush your balls!

The insults kept ringing out endlessly, and it gave her peace of mind.

Definitely a joke. Sasuke could see that the girl wanted nothing more than to try to punch him in the face with everything she had but was holding back as much as possible. Reason? He looked at Ruby and her expectant gaze, almost begging him to cooperate. Right, I had forgotten how much a younger sibling could influence an older one.

In this case, he needed to make some effort in consideration of the nostalgia he felt and take the opportunity to score some points with Ruby since he still had an interest in her possible ocular ability.

"All right, I accept that you were wrong and bitterly regret pointing your claws in my direction, even though I knew you could never even scratch me, let alone be a threat," Sasuke held the girl's hand as he said it to watch her lose her smile at the reddening of her eyes and the vicious squeeze of her hand. "Let's try to get along from here on out." He twisted a smile and returned the attempt to hurt him a little hard to see her shudder. "What do you think?"

"I-It sounds great to me..." Yang was almost biting herself with her hand being crushed even with her Aura, not believing how this guy could be so strong! Damn, he's really going to break my bones if he keeps this up!

Luckily, Ruby came to the rescue, even though she wasn't aware of this little exchange of mutual grudges.

"Great!" Ruby bounced between these two, glad that they had made up! "Now we can all be friends!"

Sasuke and Yang looked at each other again and almost laughed at the thought of this impossibility.

"That's not possible, Ruby Rose," Sasuke decided to break that fantasy instead of this blonde's hand and maybe get into the little rose's skin. "After all, I already said I don't want to be your friend."

"Gahh!" Ruby choked, boiling instantly! "I-I..." She had to cover her face with her hands to get her thoughts in order! I had forgotten about that for a second!

How she managed to do that was beyond her, but it was okay because she had time to think about it all earlier!

"I'm sorry!" Ruby's hands were together in apology. "I can't accept your feelings!"

If it hadn't been for the wind blowing a plastic bag across the deserted street, silence would have taken over.

"What..." Sasuke just heard what he thinks he heard? The smile emerging from ear to ear at the annoying blonde said yes, he wasn't imagining it. She just rejected me... This really was a first in his life. The most naive girl I have ever met rejected me.

This was as unexpected... as it was funny, and he had to restrain himself from laughing like a maniac as Yang began to do it for him.

"Ha, hah, hah, hah!" she laughed like never before, especially after seeing this guy's surprised expression! With looks like that, he really must be the same as me and doesn't know what rejection means. Bonus to Ruby for being the first! "That's my little sister! I knew you wouldn't be taken in by a jerk like this one!

She didn't. In fact, it was quite the opposite, but she was happy to be wrong!

"Yang!" Ruby wanted to choke her sister for not knowing when to stay silent when she should and still being rude seconds after she had made up with Sasuke! "I'm not done talking yet!" Yang lost part of her smile and she continued before she was interrupted again and lost what little courage she still had, looking directly at the boy who was not getting the expected reaction from her apparent rejection. On the contrary, he seemed... happy...? I must be imagining it. Nobody would be happy about something like that, so she decided to focus on what she wanted to say without hurting him. "Hmm, Sasuke, I appreciate you thinking of me that way, but I can't accept your feelings..." she was losing her composure gained by the adrenaline with every word spoken and his constant staring. Holding her arm, she looked away and added with a whisper, "At least, not until I get to know you better..."

Any and all traces of amusement that Sasuke was having just vanished without a trace.

"You want what?" Again, he didn't think he heard wrong, but he knew that wasn't the case. "Get to know me better?"

"Yes, I do," Ruby replied without hesitation, blushing or looking away this time, being as sincere as possible about her intention. "I want to know everything about you."

She wanted to know everything about the first boy to like her, even if he was kinda mean.

Sasuke opened his mouth to talk, to mock, or even to laugh at this girl. However, contrary to his own insane expectation, none of that happened. The reason was in the seriousness and lack of hesitation of this normally introverted girl and in the repassing of what was said.

She wanted to know everything about him... just as the concept of rejection was unknown to him beyond the time he was trying to be accepted by his father, this was also the first time he had heard anything of the sort from anyone in his life.

Back on his homeworld, in Konoha, everyone knew that he was the sole survivor of the infamous Uchiha clan; they knew his name and that he was a genius, but that was it.

Other than Naruto and the loneliness they both shared, no one else knew anything about him; about who Sasuke was. Hell, that bunch of girls who bothered him simply assumed they knew something through gossip and used that to bother him.

After burning his tongue so many times trying to prove himself to his father, Sasuke developed a sensitivity to extreme flavors and came to dislike sweet things, which is why he liked tomatoes and their juicy neutrality so much. Still, no one knew that, because not one of them even bothered to pay attention or approach to ask a damn question that didn't involve the kind of girl he liked, and they forced their crap on him in a futile attempt to win his feelings of non-existent love.

After surviving a massacre and losing everything that mattered in life, who in their right mind could think of liking someone else?! This was all ridiculous and almost inhumane if it wasn't an act coming from children unable to understand how deep the situation was, but who continued that way even when he was in his last year at the Academy.

That was a clear example of the fact that the girls who wanted him didn't care about his feelings, his tastes, or his will, almost as if there was some kind of obligation to fulfill the desires of these brainless plundering girls.

To hell with every single one of them!

Although he would hardly admit it, Sasuke's mind was always troubled by the trauma of his childhood and the fear of going through that all over again, so he preferred to be alone so as not to bond with anyone else. The mere thought of opening his broken heart to anyone filled him with fear; fear that Itachi would appear on a full moon night to take everything from him and plunge him into despair a second time.

Staying alone and ignoring everyone was a means of protecting himself and those around him from the monster that his brother represented at that time.

Most of all, he was afraid of creating a meaningful bond with someone...because he would have to kill that person to obtain the Mangekyou and that was an idea that Sasuke repudiated; remotely obeying what Itachi had told him to do where the idea only took shape during the influence of the Cursed Mark.

Sasuke didn't choose to be alone all those years, he needed to be alone.

So later, after he cut his ties with Konoha and joined Orochimaru, Sasuke grew to know more of the world during missions of his training.

While many knew Uchiha Sasuke and the history behind him, not everyone knew what he looked like, let alone after he entered his teenage years.

Even without knowing about his person, origin, and enviable lineage, the girls kept coming to him. Yet not one of them was interested in knowing more than his name.

So he had come to the conclusion that girls were all the same, and his encounter with that faunus in the bookstore confirmed his theory, so this one before him would be no different, and there was only one possible conclusion to it all,

"You're lying," he finally said with a narrowing of his eyes, his mood darkening with this pathetic attempt to fool him. Not one girl cared about anything but his heritage, name, and appearance - that was an ingrained fact. Not one of them does, so this one is no different.

Besides, accepting that she was telling the truth would be the same as contradicting the reality accepted by him.

On the other side, both Ruby and Yang shivered with a cold feeling laced with instinctive fear at the tone of this boy's voice.

"I-I wouldn't lie about something like that!" Ruby didn't back down, speaking the purest truth. Still, Sasuke seemed to be getting annoyed with her, as the air just got heavier. What's wrong with wanting to know more about him?

In her eyes, this reaction only made sense if he didn't want to talk about himself. In that case, she would respect that and not insist on the matter. What she couldn't accept was the fact that he refused to believe her!

"And I want to become a confectioner," Sasuke sneered, wondering why he was still wasting his precious time with this girl. I should just go and forget these two exist.

So what if she had an ocular ability? He hardly needs her anyway.

However, before he could leave, Ruby wasn't finished surprising him.

"Really? I love sweets!" she said, showing an almost victorious smile. "See, it's not that hard to say a little about yourself!" Then the silence that followed without a response made her notice that something seemed off about all this, especially by Sasuke's genuine touch of surprise and the way Yang rolled her eyes. "What?"

"You're not for real." Sasuke was having a hard time believing how far this girl's naiveté could go or if this was all just an act to trick him. Possibly a fool.

At this point, he was beginning to see that there was something wrong with this girl, crossing every possible line and not in a good way.

"Half an hour ago, he said he hated sweets, Ruby." Sometimes Yang forgot how dense her little sister could be. "He was being sarcastic, or lying."

"Ohh!" Ruby finally understood and was then saddened. "Ohh..."

"Ruby and her inhuman naivete aside," Yang ignored a "Hey!" from her little sister and tried to talk to this guy whose disbelief wasn't unreasonable since Ruby wasn't a normal girl. "Why is it so hard for you to believe that someone wants to know you, even if you don't deserve it?"

Sasuke said nothing immediately, taking a second to analyze this blonde girl without letting his opinions about Naruto influence him. She was a little taller than him. Her body was well developed, especially in the breasts displayed with provocative pride and toned legs. Her face actually didn't resemble that of his only friend at all, being extremely beautiful. If he disregarded her hair color and explosive temperament, Yang would be one of the most attractive women he had ever seen. By attractive, he meant seductive, almost like that faunus girl in the bookstore. By real beauty, he would say that Weiss took that prize, and by irony, Ruby, despite... whatever problem was going on in her mind, wasn't far behind the snow princess.

"You must understand how it is," he finally spoke up when the girl under his gaze was starting to get uncomfortable and... shy? Definitely, something I don't need.

"Know what?" Yang couldn't believe she was feeling... hot just from being stared at with such intensity by this bastard! Put yourself together, Xiao Long! No matter how hot this guy is, he's the enemy!

Then he said something she never expected to hear from a man.

"What is it like to be desired," Sasuke was sure that she, just as Weiss had claimed earlier, must have had similar experiences to his, especially judging by her reaction. "What it's like to be targeted by people who only see you as an object; a trophy to be won for nothing but personal satisfaction and inflating their fragile egos."

"Why would anyone desire a person as a trophy?" Ruby was more lost than a blind in a gunfight and sulked at being completely ignored. Hmph, they are both mean!

"You..." Yang expected a lot coming from this guy, but never that he could describe things that she herself avoided thinking about; about those who approached her with such intentions and simply using them instead of being used. As if it wasn't enough that he got everything right about my Semblance, he also seems to know about things I never told anyone! Really, it was almost as if Sasuke could read minds and that was unnerving! "Okay, hotshot, let's say I know and admit that you, despite being a man, also understand what it's like to go through all this shit, that still doesn't answer my question from before."

At this point, Sasuke thought she would have understood by now, but apparently, he overestimated her intelligence.

"It's pretty simple: how many of those people who wished you naked on their beds even remotely wanted to know more than your name? Wanted to really know you?" he got right to the point he wanted to make, being efficient with his words with realization showing on Yang's face and, as expected, confusion on Ruby's. This girl can't be that ignorant.

If all this wasn't an act, maybe Ruby wasn't lying when she said all that. However, all of Sasuke's lived experience contradicted this remote possibility, leaving nothing but skepticism about it all.

"Why would anyone want you naked in bed, Yang?" Ruby wasn't enjoying being ignored, wanting to be part of the conversation, and nudged her sister to get her to answer, as she didn't understand anything that was said, only that she found the thought super embarrassing.

"You don't need to know!" Yang finally turned her attention away from this guy and the undeniable truths spoken, preferring to focus on where this conversation was going in the presence of her pure little sister. I think we'd better call it a day and drag Ruby home before she hears something she shouldn't.

If there was one thing she didn't intend to do at any time in the future, it would be to teach Ruby about the adult world.

"It's not like she doesn't know." Again, Sasuke couldn't and wouldn't believe that this girl was so... What? He didn't even have the exact term to define her anymore. She isn't just naive or ignorant, maybe stupid? Yes, she could be, but in a different way. Wait... he remembered her childhood dream about heroes and something unusual occurred to him. This girl... could it be that she is... pure? The mere concept was ridiculous, for he was not referring to physical purity, since there was no doubt that she was a virgin and the same could hardly be said about Yang. Well, no one would believe that I am either, so I'd better leave it at that.

However, he was referring to the innocent purity that only children who had never witnessed a battlefield possessed before the world naturally corrupted them with time.

Could it be that Ruby, despite being a teenager, possessed a clear mind and an immaculate heart?

"You're not going to corrupt her, so shut the fuck up!" Yang had her Amber Celica in her hands and loaded, ready to try her luck again, regardless of the disastrous outcome that awaited her. More than going back inside the police station is not going to happen!

Sure, there was the possibility that he would actually send her through a building and put her in the hospital, but she was willing to take that risk!

That was how much Yang valued what made her little sister unique!

"This is absurd." Sasuke activated his Sharingan, matching the hostility expected from this girl and showing how dark his mood was getting with all this nonsense. I'll be sure to put her in a hospital bed for the next month.

That way she won't be able to attend Beacon and one less headache to bother him later.

"P-Please, don't fight!" Ruby appeared between them in a whirlwind of petals, preventing everything that happened in the clothing store from happening again. "You guys just made up, so why?!"

"Ruby, get out of the way now!" Yang didn't ask this time, she ordered!

"No!" Ruby immediately refused; refusing to move until she was answered! "You had promised!"

"This is no time for a tantrum, Ruby!" Yang never imagined that the day would come when she would feel the urge to shove some sense into her little sister, needing to restrain herself from crossing a line of no return. "This guy is nothing good!"

"That's not for you to decide!" Ruby shouted back, feeling her eyes burn with the emergence of tears of hurt at how easily a promise and truce were broken.

"Neither do you, since you don't know anything about him!" Yang was practically shaking with anger that this girl could be even more stubborn than herself!

"That's why I want to get to know him better!" Ruby had forgotten how stubborn Yang could be, yet refusing to back down until she finally understood!

Before more could be said and emotions got the best of them, unexpectedly, Sasuke was the one to stop this attrition from continuing.

"All right, that's enough," he found himself interrupting these two, increasingly repudiating the idea of being the reason for the disagreement between sisters. Really, a headache.

"When did you..." Yang didn't even see this guy appear and her little sister seemed to share her reaction. He... is he really faster than Ruby? Before she just thought that was the case, now she was sure! As if it wasn't enough that he was strong as a monster...

Seriously, this guy was the one who couldn't be real!

"Let's get this over with before the authorities show up again." Sasuke had better things to do and refused to go back to that police station, seriously considering that he should have just left those two arguing and disappeared. Still, he wanted to clear up that doubt that refused to leave his head and see whether or not Ruby was what he imagined she was. Let's do a little test. For nothing but his own curiosity. "Ruby Rose, tell me, where do babies come from?"

Yang opened her mouth to rebut, intervene, or even tell Ruby to plug her ears, but when she realized what this was about, she shut up, more than aware of what the response would be yet uncertain of what this guy's reaction would be with the irrefutable proof of how pure that little rose was.

"Oh, oh, I know that one!" Ruby calmed down a bit, regaining her excitement at finally being included in the conversation! Then, she decided to leave her discussion with Yang for later and focus on answering the question with everything she had learned about the subject when she was really, really small! "When two people who love each other form a couple and stay together for a while, a stork comes flying and delivers them a super cute baby!"

Again, silence reigned supreme, and Yang could not help but smile at the genuine display of mixed emotions on the perfect face of this guy that didn't include any of the negativity hitherto shown.

Reluctantly, she would say that with all the fuss, he had gotten kind of cute, but she would never admit that to anyone.

"..." For the second time, Sasuke opened his mouth and couldn't find the words to say. His Sharingan was active, so he was paying attention and analyzing every minute detail, including her heartbeat, so he knew she wasn't lying. This girl believes in every word of this nonsense.

Either she was tricked into believing it at an early age, or this world was so fantastical that at any moment it could start raining tomatoes.

"Do you understand now?" Yang finally decided to speak up and clarify what could leave anyone in the same state as this guy, "Ruby wasn't lying before, much less doing an act of any kind." She walked past Sasuke and brought her sister closer, regretting any violent thoughts from before and resuming her overprotective self. "Unlike ninety-nine percent of the people in the world, she is genuinely pure of heart."

"Yang, that's embarrassing!" Ruby didn't know whether she was being complimented or teased!

Probably both!

"Really?" Sasuke can't help but let out a rare laugh along with a sort of confused and painful acceptance. "You're really interesting, Ruby Rose." Raising two fingers in a seal, leaves began to emerge to create a whirlwind with him as the epicenter and twist back into a smile capable of being more worrisome than the anomaly that surrounded him. "A pity nothing stays pure forever, especially if you want to know more about me." Disappearing without a trace, only a final warning echoed to the pair of dumbfounded sisters among the remaining leaves, "Keep that in mind for the next time we meet, Ruby Rose."

New year new chapter, huh? that sounds kind of cool so I hope it applies to my life too... and yours if you also wish for the best to come.

Moving on, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, as this was one of those done with virtually no planning at all. So try not to crucify me, for new year's sake ;)

Jokes aside, as I may have already said, I have a general idea for the course of the story, but how it develops can change considerably as the chapters progress. Hopefully, it will continue to flow independently.

One more thing, would you guys be interested if I wrote a story of Sasuke in Dragonball? I've been having recurring ideas about this and I've even made numerous notes about the premise of it, so all that's left is to define some things and start writing. Let me know what you think about it.

That's all I think, so leave your opinion about this chapter and if you want to read more take a look at my P t r & on (slash) Bertoti.

Until then.
