When Yang decided to follow her stupid little sister, who couldn't have picked a worse time to enter a rebellious phase, she had an almost optimistic line of thinking about not minding seeing Sasuke again, probably lying to herself under the influence of that moment of tenderness provided by his Aura.
The truth, however, was quite different.
With each step taken behind Ruby, those emotions diminished and gave room for logic to speak louder with possibilities; about what would happen if she stopped in her tracks and turned around on her own... or if she continued to move forward and understand that regardless of what she came to choose, the outcome would be the same.
The threat that Sasuke posed did not change.
Yang, unlike Ruby, was afraid of meeting Sasuke again and of the mere fact that he was out there.
Why? Yang antagonized him, attacked him, cursed him in every way possible, and continued to do all this even when he revealed himself to share experiences that she herself repudiated and preferred to pretend never happened. Before he revealed himself to be a one-man army, although aware of the fact that he was stronger, had a dark Aura, and could undeniably defeat her again without difficulty, Yang had only caution and some animosity towards him for flirting with her little sister, being sure that he was only playing with her feelings, as she used to do the same and knew how...broken one tended to get out of it.
All that, however, changed for the worse after he decimated a horde of Grimm large enough to destroy an entire kingdom.
So the one in front of her wasn't just a handsome boy with strange eyes and an arrogant attitude that made girls fight for his attention. No, standing before her was someone capable of killing her in the blink of an eye and just as quickly taking from her the most precious jewel in this world in the form of a Ruby.
Simply put, Sasuke was a monster who couldn't be stopped by anything or anyone and that was exactly what scared her to the bone.
If it weren't for the fact that she felt in her soul that he had a heart capable of loving and showing positive emotions, Yang was sure she would have fallen to her knees before him and only the gods knew what else. Fortunately, instead, despite her body's nearly stiffened limbs, erratic heartbeat, and temperature that made her sweat drops of fear, she managed to move and take a step back when Sasuke stood to descend from where he was.
To make matters worse, Yang also didn't know if it was just her who was seeing him differently because of the influence of her fear or if he really had changed, but the first time she saw him, Sasuke was...curious, as if testing her during their fight and wanting to see more of what she and Ruby were capable of. At the police station, he was almost extroverted, teasing Ruby endlessly and even her, though in a different way for each. During the Grimm extermination, although she couldn't see him in person, she could feel him and knew that he had a love for his mother and any fear to show it to the world. Now, however... he didn't seem like anything he had shown before, feeling apathetic, empty even.
With that in mind, there was a good chance that everything shown earlier was some sort of act and this one in front of her was the real Sasuke, making it all unnerving to the point of being terrifying.
To Yang, not feeling fear of Sasuke was equivalent to stupidity, as was the case with Ruby and possibly this Weiss for seeming happy to see him of all things, like a couple of brainless teenagers with a mere attraction to a pretty boy. Her comfort was in knowing that she wasn't the only one to have some sense in being accompanied in her frightened retreat by this girl named Blake. At least, she believed that to be the case, however with doubt given that red face and...heavy breathing?
Regardless, Yang could not and would not be the first to say anything about the question asked by Sasuke, she would just do her best to avoid falling apart and pray with closed fists that nothing bad would happen, or else this could be her last day in Remnant.
On the side, although she shared some of the fear shown by this Yang, Blake didn't know exactly what to expect from this reunion when, in that second after sensing Sasuke's Aura and seeing the intent in Weiss' eyes, she decided to join her in the dangerous possibility of seeing him again because she repudiated the idea of letting the little princess go alone. Not for the safety or concern for this girl despite their mutual understanding about some things and growing friendship, but for the uncomfortable feeling that filled her and coming to understand that this could only be described as jealousy.
The problem lay in the absurdity of it all!
Why in the world would she, of all people, feel something like that for someone she didn't even know and who made her have more than one bad experience?!
He made her feel real fear of death and beg for her life as a frightened child, to the point that she mistook him for a grim reaper who had come to take her away. Then, as if that wasn't enough, he completely subdued her and... and... touched her ears with curiosity and not an ounce of lust expected of a boy her age. That is if he was really a normal boy and not an entity as old as life itself. No, he didn't want anything from her, at least not physically, he didn't even hurt or offend her for being what she was.
This was the first time Blake felt normal in front of someone of the opposite gender and who was not a faunus.
The second thing he made her feel was... that heat that almost melted her without even touching her! Truly, although she had come close to feeling something like that with Adam during her emerging pre-teen fantasies, none of it remotely compared to that experience in the bookstore. In that moment of fiery teasing, if Sasuke wanted to, even without knowing anything about him, Blake was sure she would have let him do whatever he wanted with her...
Fear and excitement, not to say lust, was a combination that made no sense and stirred her in the worst way, and Blake almost hated herself for it.
How could she not hate herself, when the one stirring up that conflict in her had oppressed all her fellows in Vale, leading Blake to the extreme of wanting to wrest information from Weiss to stop him from continuing at any cost... only to regret it to the core with the benevolence shown and begin to understand that something was wrong. It didn't take long for her to know what exactly, confirming with what he did in solving the problem created and the fact that someone like that remained unknown for all this time.
Now that she was standing in front of him again, Blake understood that she was not only scared for her life but scared for what she felt just by looking at him; of the possibility that she might be more than just a hormonal girl and almost melt under that intense gaze.
She should be really scared, like this Yang to the point that she could almost smell fear in the air; because he was someone capable of destroying everything if he wanted to and not be even more excited by this dangerously undeniable truth.
So what was the problem with her? That is if there was a problem.
Among the faunus women, there was a theory that their animalistic characteristics influenced the choice of a potential partner, this being mostly relative to strength. Yes, it seemed like a joke with the whole alpha male concept, but her mother always said that her father's strength was one of the things she loved most and Sasuke was simply the strongest.
That also explained the apparent juvenile attraction she had towards Adam to the point that it led her to disregard numerous problems he certainly had...and start repeating that now with Sasuke.
This revelation about herself was almost as frightening as the change evident in Sasuke, being much more serious and disinterested now, reflected in his unique eyes as he stared at each of them as if they were nothing... and feeling her body boil again.
After all this was over, Blake would have to change her underwear, for the second time today, because of this boy, needing to bite herself to stay in control and seriously think about doing something to take her mind off this direction, almost begging for someone to break this silence that followed Sasuke's question and answers him, because if it went on like this, this situation would really be the death of her!
Unlike these other two and their similar, yet distinct and more than justified reactions, Weiss stood firmly on her feet, refusing to waver in the face of this possible divine entity that Sasuke was and the visible change in his attitude. Surprisingly, however, it would be this younger girl Ruby, and her courage or stupidity in managing to remain composed in his intimidating presence.
At first, Weiss wanted to mock this girl for trying to look strong, but strangely she could only respect her by knowing that there were feelings in those silver eyes that kept her from wavering, just as she herself had in her icy blue eyes.
They might be different, but they were probably the same at that moment; a pair of girls curious about the boy who shook their worlds and with reason.
Weiss knew almost nothing about Sasuke and considering what happened, she was sure she knew even less because she considered basically everything told to her by him a lie. Normally, she would be angry for being made a fool of and believing everything that was said, but at the same time, she understood that it was necessary. Otherwise, who in their right mind would believe the superhuman ability that Sasuke had?
The wounds he held were irrefutable proof of such, for his endurance and indifference to pain... if he felt pain at all.
Inevitably, her mind went to that treatment in the hospital, wondering how and who had been able to hurt him? With such power, who would even remotely be able to scratch him?
A woman had attacked him after being rejected along with others she had convinced to help under the claim that he was a faunus...
If this were true, which at least had to have some background in it all, since she was there when the doctor confirmed the cause of the damage, this being a woman's hair, who in the world did it?
To pull off such a feat, it must have been the result of a sneak attack, exactly what a worthless woman would do or someone as dangerous as Sasuke, and the thought of having someone like that out there with such power was uncomfortable.
Just thinking about it made Weiss gain the strength to stay where she was, wondering what she would do about it all and if she could even do anything about it.
From the bottom of her soul, Weiss wanted to speak out and question everything in her heart full of doubts and insecurities, but she couldn't muster her resolve and do it. So pathetic. Even now she was almost boasting about her courage in staying where she was and not backing down despite the intimidation with the change Sasuke had from what she remembered.
That was fine, though, considering that almost everything she wanted to say was hardly the kind of information that could be divulged in front of strangers, about his intention to attend Beacon, which hopefully remained intact and the one that had hurt him previously. So she would let this younger girl steal her chance and break that silence by being the first to speak.
In any case, she would have her chance soon enough, getting to know better the one who had set her on the path of change and done the same for all those in the Vale and perhaps the whole world.
Ruby's excitement had taken a hit, where merely hearing his voice awakened a bad feeling inside her as if something was wrong. Not just because of the other unknown girls... well, that had a piece of it, but she meant about Sasuke and the lack of a smile, of any kind, and the way he was looking at them, seeming cold and distant.
With that much alone, she could easily tell that this was not the same Sasuke that made her heart and mind all fuzzy. He might look like, yet he hardly felt like that boy who looked at her with teasing and something akin to affection...
All of this made her hesitate, afraid even, but regardless, she couldn't let herself be shaken or let her thoughts show, not the way the others were doing, with the exception of this snow princess, who Ruby didn't know what to think about, mainly because she was sure this super pretty girl also shared her feelings and concern.
So, for the sake of all of them and the heroic image she had in mind about Sasuke, Ruby would ignore all differences and insecurities to act as she had intended from the beginning!
"Th-that was so cool!" she took the lead with undeniable nervousness, however forgetting the question asked by Sasuke and simply speaking what was on her mind while doing her best to ignore the looks of these unknown girls as she became the center of attention. "You were like, Wuahh and then you made those Shurikens go like, fuahh and out of nowhere you had black lightning singing chirp, chirp, chirp like a bunch of birds!" Ruby did her best to regain her excitement as she focused on the one before her, yet unable to look him directly in the eye, even more so when there was only silence beside her voice and the constant stare that made her hesitate to continue, but she needed to! "O-ohh and not to mention your cloak!" Yes, she couldn't forget to talk about that! "Th-this cloak is so beautiful, that I want one too!"
The last part was practically shouted and silence followed closely, but something changed without her knowing, as the tension decreased where even Sasuke with all his indifference had a raised eyebrow, almost amused to realize what was happening.
Confusion gave way to fear and nervousness seen in these four girls... except for Blake and the hell that was going on in her head as she looked at him in a way that was about to rip his clothes off.
Avoiding sighing at this situation, Sasuke remained nonchalant, yet aware that this was going nowhere if they didn't relax a bit and he had even more questions to ask after Ruby described things she shouldn't have known without being present on the scene when he destroyed those Grimm.
Luckily, Blake and Ruby gave him the right idea to remedy all that.
Slowly, Sasuke began to remove the Akatsuki cloak to show more of his skin with his turtleneck shirt open to the limit, almost finishing breaking that one dressed in black and making Weiss and Ruby turn into a tomato he wouldn't mind biting, not to mention Yang and her almost unreadable reaction of pure conflict.
A bit degrading, but it served its purpose. As much as he disliked that sort of thing, Sasuke was used to being looked at and seen that way, it was just that he no longer had any restrictions on taking advantage of this curse of his. "You can keep this," he made them wake up from their disappointments by throwing the cloak into Ruby's hands. "It's not like I'm going to use it again."
That cloak represented more than a part of the past that he preferred to keep suppressed, so it was good to get rid of that physical reminder.
While trying not to look at him and failing with these mean eyes that stubbornly disobeyed, Ruby didn't expect that Sasuke was actually going to give her his cloak! That was a thousand times better than the autograph! Or it could be a million times if he autographed this cloak too!
Only... this happiness capable of warming her heart was short-lived when she understood everything that was said by Sasuke.
"You won't?" Ruby squeezed the black and red fabric in her hands, asking to be sure, and the serious look on his face said he wasn't kidding. "S-so you're not going to be a hero anymore?"
Sasuke felt his eyes twitch for a second, again being described with such a term. Fortunately, he had already been through this on the wall and suppressed it to the point where he almost didn't even care; almost.
"Hero?" Weiss repeated before anyone else could, tired of keeping quiet and watching this girl babbling incoherences. Doing her best not to be swayed by her vulgar thoughts when all Sasuke did was remove that cloak; a gift enviable for its priceless value after that day, she let her own opinion on the matter, "I think he's more of a deity than anything else."
A description also used to define him earlier whose claim seemed to have no logical background, however, Weiss' appearance still resembled that of the Otsutsuki clan and therefore deserved more attention than that green-haired man.
Sasuke really needed to talk to her later.
"Deity, huh?" Yang spoke without thinking, mockery present in her voice and expression provided by the relief of her fear, and continue in the same way, "he's more like a monster..." she realized her mistake under the stares received and froze at that ominous red and purple, "i-in a good way, of course!"
It was obvious that no one believed her, but just seeing that Sasuke wasn't going to tear her apart made the hand of sudden fear ease the tightness in her heart, though the trembling of her body remained to remind her to be more careful with her words.
Sasuke's stare at Yang was a result of why he avoided thinking about this girl when he was on the wall before the trouble he caused, because she really reminded him of Naruto in the worst way, being that opinion of her similar to what was said to him in the Valley of the End after fully manifesting the second stage of the Cursed Mark for the first time; the hypocrisy of saying something like that when Naruto was covered in that demonic energy.
What bothered him, however, was knowing that Naruto was able to change and turn that sinister power into something pure like the bright light of a spring sun, quite different from Sasuke who sank into an eclipse of pure darkness and endless cold.
The more Sasuke thought about Naruto, the harder he found it to continue considering him a friend, beginning to believe that wasn't quite what they had.
Naruto and Sasuke were the reincarnation of brothers and possibly drawn to each other, but not for the reason they believed themselves to be.
There was a great chance that the Chakra of the people they were descended from influenced them, even if at minimal levels, to feel what they feel for each other.
The coincidence was one thing, but... the sheer number of similarities shared with their previous reincarnations, Madara and Hashirama, was simply absurd.
So, yes, Sasuke concluded that they were influenced, either by descent or by the concept called fate, to meet and have this twisted bond of friendship that reached brotherhood and end up as enemies destined to fight to the death.
Sasuke wanted to break that cycle as part of his revolution, something that would only happen with his death, as the last descendant of Indra, or Naruto, and those related to the Senju clan like Tsunade and... Karin, who was also an Uzumaki, to prevent the reincarnation of Ashura.
But that was before, where now Sasuke didn't know what to do anymore and would have to think hard about how to solve all these problems related to his ultimate goal.
"F-for a faunus, he looked more like Death itself than anything else..." Blake managed to say after closing her eyes and forcing herself to think of anything other than Sasuke since they were all giving their fanciful opinions. "I-I mean, he felt that way..."
Strangely, no one there could refute what was said, not even Sasuke for what he put this girl through when they met in the bookstore and with the whole kingdom soon after.
However, that didn't matter anymore and Sasuke would rather focus on the answered question, about how they found him.
Each of them had been exposed to his Aura previously and had lived through some experience that matched the description used, in the case of Blake and Yang, but Ruby and Weiss again seemed to know things they shouldn't without being on the wall where all that happened. This was not the case, as he also memorized their Auras and would have identified their presence there. So how did they know?
"Maybe I am all of that, maybe I am none of it..." Sasuke shook his head, not being able to say more than that as to each one's opinions about him, doing his best to ignore moments in his life where he was one of those things mentioned and his descent, focusing on what he wanted to know and looking at Ruby in specific. "That aside, how did you know that I was the one who eliminated those Grimm?" Obviously, he had made the mistake of not removing the Akatsuki cloak before showing himself before them, but that didn't explain the details Ruby described and as an immediate response there was a look of surprise on all four of them. "What?"
"Hmm, Sasuke," Weiss was the one to speak up in the face of Ruby's nervousness and hesitation. "Haven't you seen your Scroll?"
That communication object she gave me? Sasuke touched the storage seal on his wrist and retrieved the device ignored by him after getting his ID. "What about this?"
The girls had seen what he had just done earlier when he made that giant Shuriken appear!
Could that be part of his Semblance? Weiss really, really wanted to know more about this, but she would avoid asking and just explain what he needed to know. "It will be easier if I show you." Doing her best to calm her fluttering heart, she walked over to him to get the Scroll in hand and put on the guilty video. "Here."
Sasuke merely cooperated and watched whatever Weiss wanted to show him.
Slowly, his indifference gave way to emotions that should have been suppressed over the course of the minutes that this video lasted.
The girls could feel the almost non-existent Aura resurfacing to create pressure and know that he was not happy at all.
Sasuke wanted to break that glass screen in his hand, turn his back on these girls and hunt down those who made this video to show them what happened to anyone who crossed his path. In fact, if he could see any of those damn metal boxes in the air, he would breathe fire on them.
Most of all, he hated himself for ignoring the world around him and focusing so much on the problem in the form of those Grimm that he forgot about the technology of this world.
"How many people have seen this?" he asked in a low tone, accompanied by a narrowing of his eyes.
The tension returned with everything, and each of them could feel the intensity on their skin.
"I-I think..." Weiss hesitated, almost cringing at how threatening he looked, "the whole world?"
Opening his eyes wide, Sasuke searched for traces of lies present in Weiss's intimidated form to find only the truth.
"How is this possible?" he asked to no one in specific, returning to staring at the Scroll in his hand. Of course, he knew about the surveillance cameras and the distribution of images in real-time, as the same existed in Orochimaru's hideouts. Large-scale information sharing, however? That didn't exist. "Where did you get this from?"
"Internet?" Weiss said, being the one to raise an eyebrow this time, nervousness giving way to confusion. Doesn't he know anything about technology?
"Internet?" Sasuke repeated, having never heard of it and not even understanding what that word meant, guessing it was perhaps a name; a target to make pay for practically exposing him to the world. "Who is this and where can I find this person?"
Silence and mouths open in disbelief were all he got right away.
"Pfff," Yang almost spat out the fear inside her as she swallowed a laugh that could cost her life and cringed immediately as soon as that pair of crazy eyes focused on her. "S-sorry!"
Sasuke merely stared at this girl until she began to tremble again. Yang had fear, but no respect, and that was a dangerous combination... for her.
If I didn't need her... Although he wasn't sure if he would even need help, Sasuke would refrain from killing or breaking... he stopped in his train of thought and looked at Blake and her condition, rephrasing and deciding not to break another person for no reason. Lucky you, Yang Xiao Long.
Otherwise, an even worse fate awaited her, comparable to that trash dressed in white and the woman in red.
As for Sasuke's obvious lack of knowledge, the other three girls, where one of them seemed to be on edge, looked at each other almost as if looking for an answer; to know if he really didn't know anything and to understand that this was indeed the case.
For the next few minutes, they took their time explaining what the Internet was and how it worked to which Sasuke didn't know what to say, especially about the kitten videos that Ruby put up for him to watch and the way Blake stared at him, almost jealous?
That aside, the mere concept of a worldwide communication network was ridiculous. How did nations or Kingdoms submit to this? What about secrecy and protection of vital information?
That didn't even make sense to him.
Unless... considering the common enemy this world had, something occurred to him. Despite the wars fought, could there be some kind of alliance in this world?
This wasn't present in the books he had read before.
I have to get into that school. Only then could he appease the doubts that plagued him. Now, however, he focused on the girls for his next question. "Does that mean everyone knows who I am?"
"N-no, I don't think so..." Blake had time to calm down and gain control of herself in these last few minutes, even more so because of how Sasuke was acting, all lost in a way that made him less intimidating. "Unless someone else has been exposed to your Aura, knows your name, and has seen your face in person."
Sasuke considered, remembering how many did besides these four before him. There were those attendants at the clothing store, but they didn't know his name. There was also that doctor at the hospital, and that one hadn't been exposed to his Aura. Then there was only the Beacon Headmaster and Glynda, who also works at the Academy.
"That, and the fact that everyone is debating over who..." Weiss read the name they were calling him by and wasn't sure if she liked it, "Moonlight Shadow is."
A stronger beat of his heart and Sasuke couldn't contain that feeling of having people revere him with a Kage.
It was ironic, really.
Sasuke wanted to be the Fire Shadow in his world and was willing to subjugate the entire planet if he had to. In Remnant, a completely different world, after correcting a mistake, he became the Moonlight Shadow.
On his left palm was the moon seal to complete the irony.
"So cool!" Ruby had her Scroll in hand, given a Like on the original post for the great idea! "Now you just need a mask and everything will be fine!"
"For what, exactly?" Weiss crossed her arms, not understanding this girl. "So he can become some kind of vigilante?"
"Not that!" Ruby didn't like vigilantes, they were too aggressive and almost evil! "I mean a hero who fights evil and protects people!"
"That..." Weiss didn't know what to say, only that this girl was too innocent for her own good.
"Ruby..." Yang liked and even loved this pure and optimistic side of her little sister, but she had forgotten how she tended to cross the line of common sense.
"Unfortunately, the real world isn't that simple," Blake knew that better than anyone, living in that reality for as long as she could remember.
"I know, but that's what Hunters are for, right? To make things better!" Ruby would not give up, looking at Sasuke with a glint in her eyes as she tried to return the gift in her hands. "Sasuke can do that using this cloak and all the hope that these red sunset clouds represent!"
Sasuke had almost forgotten how naive or stupid this girl could be and no one could blame her for that, for he had matured by force when he was only seven years old and couldn't remember ever seeing anyone like her in his life.
"Those clouds do not represent hope, Ruby Rose, much less a sunset," Sasuke had warned this girl that her purity wouldn't last if she wanted to know more about him, now she would have to start opening her eyes to the cruelty of the world, at least of the Elemental Nations, or else she would be of no use to him, much less in a fight to the death against an immortal goddess like Kaguya. "These clouds symbolize the spilled blood of the endless conflict like rain dyed red on a battlefield." Silver eyes opened in an expression of shock and she wasn't the only one, but Sasuke wasn't finished, "This symbolizes the cycle of hatred created through the pain of losing what one loves and the desire for revenge."
This information, in part, came from Itachi's memories, otherwise, he would never have known about these origins that coincided with much of his life story.
"Clouds of blood..." Weiss paled at the heavy meaning behind what she believed to be a random cloak.
"...Spilled in endless conflict..." Blake, for the first time since she set foot on this rooftop and stood before Sasuke, was shaken by something that made sense and was real for longer than history could register.
"...cycle of hate..." Ruby had never heard of this before and it sounded like something really bad, making her think of her mother and what she felt when she lost her.
"... the desire for revenge..." Yang was full of resentment, either with her mother who abandoned her or with this guy before her who scared her to the bone and threatened to take her beloved little sister away from her, somehow feeling bad for being part of something so... heavy.
"Just as this cloak is not what you believe, I don't pretend to be some kind of hero to this world either, Ruby Rose," Sasuke keeps saying to finish cutting this girl's fantasies off at the root.
Everything that was said by Sasuke, the deep meaning behind this cloak, was something to think about and reflect upon.
Ruby, on the other hand, despite not understanding the real weight of what was said, yet acknowledging her ignorance, had a different opinion.
"That all you said might be true, I don't know, but," she expressed a beaming smile, hugged the cloak in her hands lovingly, and looked straight into her hero's eyes, "Now, this cloak is also a symbol of hope for all those who saw you save this kingdom from darkness!"
Somehow, not one of the other girls could disagree with that, not even Yang.
This girl... It wasn't every day that Sasuke was faced with such stubbornness and he couldn't understand where these emotions that contradicted logic came from, something normally demonstrated by Naruto and now by this Ruby. "Whatever," he would no longer insist, not when he had so much more to do and problems to solve. "If you really believe that, put on the cloak and do it yourself."
"B-but I..." Ruby pressed her lips together between words, feeling the weight of responsibility she knew she wasn't up to carrying. "I'm not strong enough..."
In fact, no one else in the world would be able to repeat Sasuke's feats and fill the hearts of the world with hope.
"Now, maybe," Sasuke snapped this girl out of her discouragement as he approached her to the surprise of the others, and Yang's fear quickly turned to anger as his hand touched Ruby's reddened face, caressing the soft cheek of this girl who insisted on keeping her heart pure. "After a while, though," he rested his fingers under her chin to lift her face, look directly into his eyes, and have those silver irises almost glow with unawakened power. "I will make you capable of saving or destroying this world." He came close enough to kiss her for the second time that day, but just as before he passed her almost gasping lips to finish whispering in her blushing ear, "that's a promise."
Ruby had her mind blank, her eyes lighter and her heart beating like crazy in her chest without knowing what to do! When Sasuke let her go, she could only stagger backward and fall into the familiar arms of an overprotective sister who had red eyes and blood on her lips as she stared at Sasuke with hatred.
Blake could do nothing but stare at the scene that unfolded without her usual interest or desire to write it down to register as reference material...all there was for her was a tightness in her chest and a desire to forget everything she saw.
Witnessing this, for Weiss, was no different than watching her sister, Winter, leave her; choosing to pursue a military career... strangely, this feeling managed to be even worse, almost as if she had lost something important.
At this point, both Blake and Weiss shared a sense of inferiority toward this Ruby.
Then, just as these two were about to turn their backs and run away like a couple of stupid teenagers, Sasuke turned in their direction and walked over to have a couple of wounded hearts start jumping again out of sheer nervousness because they didn't know who he was coming for!
"Weiss," he stopped in front of this girl who was his ticket to Beacon and could answer a lot of his questions, extending a hand to her and almost seeing her smile at his next words, "come with me."
There was no answer to be had, Weiss couldn't even speak with this sudden turn of events where it was now that Ruby who looked sad and defeated. This was all she needed to see. Timidly, she gave her hand to him and the mere touch of his skin made her blush with the feeling of butterflies filling her stomach.
However, like all good things in life, this happiness was short-lived, when, to a blow to her heart, Sasuke did the same to the girl next to her.
"You too, Blake," Sasuke used the name he just learned as he reached out his free hand to coax this faunus girl whose desire in her amber eyes was all he needed to have her obey him.
Though she hesitated for a second, Blake couldn't resist having her name said by him and her instincts screaming all at once to practically lose control over herself, ignore that outstretched hand and embrace him with everything she had. Her only restriction was in not trying to kiss him or she was sure it wouldn't end with so little.
Sasuke had to restrain himself from doing anything foolish and hurting this girl when all she was doing was hugging him very enthusiastically. I should have known.
It was his fault for being so complacent.
"I have important business to attend to with them." Sasuke did his best to stay neutral with this girl hanging on him and stop a Weiss with blood in her eyes, about to draw her sword and attack with intent to kill. Great. Exactly what he wanted and this improved his mood enough to not mind using his free arm to have this princess against the free part of his body and practically calm her down in the same second, as well as almost breaking that heart pure as silver that was watching the whole thing. "See you in Beacon, Ruby Rose." he looked at another girl present with conflict in those red eyes that turned lilac. "You too, Yang Xiao Long."
A hand-seal well known to the whole world was made and Sasuke disappeared with Weiss and Blake in a swirl of leaves, leaving behind a mixture of unknown emotions in the girl who suddenly felt as if the cloak in her hands was worth nothing compared to the chance of going together with her hero and that... hurt.
About the chapter, there are things I couldn't do or finish, that's why I made Sasuke leave and take Blake and Weiss with him so that I could have an easier time writing what I have in mind later on as well as giving more time for these two to appear since there are people complaining that I focus too much on Ruby.
Is Blake too out of character? Probably, since I am addressing her faunus instincts to the extreme and making her act almost like a cat in heat. Why? honestly, I don't know how to write her well. While Weiss is my favorite character in Rwby, Blake is barely in the top 10, but I will do my best to at least make this version of her more...interesting.
That's all for now, and the next chapter will be out by the end of the month.
