Sonic was it at Station Square with the rest of the team getting ready to reveal something she had hidden for the last seven years from everyone.
It had been seven years since it happened and only Sonic, Knuckles and Eggman knew about it.
Seven years since Sonic was kicked out of her hometown thinking Robotnik was still alive.
Only certain people believed her and Knuckles was one of them so left and stayed with her. Since then they'd stuck together.
She had finally finished Eggman after losing control of Dark Sonic and was finally free.
She was finally able to retire from being the hero and hopefully get back home.
She had a camera at her for everyone to hear what she was about to do, guitar, and microphone in front of her ready.
Knuckles was in the back with the rest of the team with his arms crossed.
Everyone else was confused about why she asked for this.
Then she took a deep breath started.

In Mobotropolis people felt guilty about not believing her he was still out there and Aleena felt terrible about forcing her to go prove that he was still there and she was exiled until then.
Sonia and Manic felt awful about not staying by her side.
Knuckles had been there when that happened, broke up with Sonia and went with Sonic believing her.
They hadn't heard from him since and Sonia had regret it since.
Manic had tried to comfort her after the breakup but did nothing so just let her cry on his shoulder when needed.
Chuck had been furious at Aleena and everyone else and tried to find Sonic but knew with him raising her as a Freedom Fighter and being on the run, she would be hard to find.
He stayed in the castle and would still talk to Aleena and people that didn't believe Sonic but wouldn't talk much.
Chuck, certain Freedom Fighters and Resistance members had tried to find Sonic but never did and never realized how much skill she really had in hiding.
It took until Sonia and Manic came to a meeting admitting it was them that always got them found but mostly Sonia because Manic was raised in the city so could hide, just not the way Sonic could.
Sonic was the one that had the most experience with hiding, living on the run, knew every Swatbot in and out, everything they thought she didn't know, she already knew.
She just hid it because they needed to learn how to be on the run, especially Sonia.
Aleena was shocked when they told her Sonic was the reason they got away with so much and Chuck told her Sonic had gotten a lot over the years since he took her in and she joined the Freedom Fighters.

Then everyone stood there in shock at what they just heard while Knuckles stood next to her and looked at her.
"Really?" Knuckles said and she nodded.
"They said when Robotnik is gone I can get home. I'm done with this. I've been fighting him since he took over Mobotropolis Knux, I've had enough." she said shaking her head.
"You were in the war with Robotnik?" Espio said and she looked at them all while they looked at her in shock.
"I was part of everything." she said shaking her head. "I was a Freedom Fighter, their weapon, the reason all his crap was crashing so fast, when their spy Sir Charles was robotocized I left and joined the Resistance because I'm the princess that was exiled! I'm the reason Sonia and Manic are alive! They were amateurs at doing that shit! I know how to get away, I know how to hide, I know how to deactivate everything Robotnik created, I almost match Robotnik and Tails' IQ!" she snapped and they looked at her in shock or gasped. "I just didn't want anyone to know that I was the princess that was kicked out because when I said Robotnik was still out there. I knew he was to easy to stop. Sonia and Manic should've known or believed me but they were on Aleena's side. Only Knuckles, uncle Chuck, certain Freedom Fighters and Resistance members believe me. When we were on the run, Sonia was helpful sometimes like during a fight but other times? She was useless and the reason we were seen. Manic understood how to hide because he grew up on the streets but he was still a little hard now and then. I started out in a forest until Swatbots got my foster parents and they had me run to uncle Chuck. I did as told and he took me in from there. After that, I joined the Freedom Fighters and was in a dump in Robotropolis while he was their spy. After a while I started being their weapon. Manic was raised by thieves and on the street like me but he was mostly in the city so he knows how to live on the run like me. Sonia on the other hand, she was raised by a rich woman and didn't know how to live on the streets, on the run, live without eating every day, live off of water or random edible plants, whatever shelter you can find and everything me and Manic know how to do. She was a spoiled little brat and got what she wanted."
They all looked at Knuckles who nodded and Sonic took a deep breath.
"When we worked together though, we were great. I was the speed, Manic was the hacker and Sonia was the strength and has a photographic memory which came in handy. Along with Manic being raised by thieves once in a while. If we had to pick locks or something like that, he got it done in seconds. Cyrus was our Tails, I was the leader of Sonic Underground and Sonia was in a way our Knuckles with her strength. I wrote most of the songs but we made a few together or Sonia and or Manic made some of their own. When that video game happened they thought we finished him and found Aleena. But I knew it was too easy. I got into a fight with everyone in Mobotropolis. Aleena kicked me out until I proved he was still out there but I decided to wait until he was dead. Knuckles stuck with me because he believed me."
"I knew he was to smart to finish that easy. I wasn't letting my best friend get hurt." Knuckles said wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "I was dating Sonia but we got into an argument and I broke up with her. So I went looking for Sonic."
"How did you find me?"
"Your Chaos is as strong as the Chaos Emeralds so I tracked it."
"Ahh."
"So that's why you never told us where you live." Amy said and Sonic froze. "You don't have a home." she said and they all looked at her in horror and shock.
"Sonic?" Knuckles said gently.
"Y-you do have a home, right?" Tails said and they got no answer.
"Oh my god. You don't, do you?" Shadow said.
"Fine. I don't have a house, apartment or anything. I don't have anywhere to live yes. That's why I'm always running and never let you come to my place. Happy?" Sonic said.
"Why?" Rouge asked and Sonic looked at her.
"Why? Do you really think Aleena would give me money for a home? For food? Water? My C-PTSD? Clothes? Heat? Everything you all have somehow?" Sonic asked and they winced. "No. I live off the money I get from GUN for helping you on missions and saving everyone but it's not enough for a home. It's enough for food, clothing and important things like that. But a monthly payment? That I can't do so I've been living on trees, shelters, and whatever I can think of after years of experience. I've even gone a week without food and survived. Why do you think I look so thin all the time? I even run to a goddamn forest to find a plant that I can eat if I have to! I've thought about selling this medallion but I knew better. So instead I've gone two months without food minus the times I'd be at one of your places. You guys work for GUN, Amy bakes, Knuckles doesn't need anything because he has his island, Tails sells his inventions, the Chaotix are detectives, Silver isn't even from this time and Blaze is a goddamn princess like I was! While you all have a way to survive, I'm still the Freedom Fighter and Resistance member on the run. I can't even afford the pill I need or a therapist and yet here I was fighting Robotnik with C-PTSD, anxiety, constant flashbacks and stress. But I did it. Those times I stayed away? I was either with Knuckles or by myself because of it."
Everyone looked at her in guilt and or heartbroken for not figuring it out earlier.
"Why are you going back? They left you." Tails said. "You can move into my place and we can be your family."
"Me and Shadow can try and get you a job at GUN if you want." Rouge said.
"And I can get you a therapist. I have one and I can help you get one." Shadow said.
"You don't have to be alone and go through all this. You can leave that place and stay here where you were actually happy." Silver said. "Look at me! I only go back to my time once in a while to make sure it's not falling apart again!"
"He's right Sonic. Sonia or Manic can take it. You're happy here." Knuckles said gently and Sonic looked at them.
"I have to go back. Sonia will mess everything up with being spoiled and Manic doesn't exactly know how to lead people. They're both still children while I'm the mature one." Sonic said.
They looked at her but nodded.
"When are you leaving?" Shadow asked.
"Now. I want to see what happens and if they do one thing to me I'm coming back here and taking that offer Tails, Rouge." Sonic said and they nodded.
"Want me to come just in case?" Knuckles asked.
"You started with me, you're finishing with me." she said and he nodded.
"Good luck." Tails said and gave them a hug.
"I'll let you know what happens." Knuckles whispered to Tails who nodded.
"Let's go Knux." Sonic said and he nodded so they turned and started running and gliding.
Later they were at Mobotropolis and looking at it.
"Is this really worth it?" Sonic asked.
"You have to do it." Knuckles said and she sighed but nodded.
Then they started walking to the castle.
When they got there Chuck was standing there and looked at her with tears going down.
"Sonic." Chuck said.
"Hi uncle Chuck." Sonic said and he held her close.
"Thank Chaos." he said and looked at Knuckles. "Thank you, for staying with her."
"You're welcome." Knuckles said.
Then Aleena, Sonia and Manic came along with everyone from town.
"Sonic? Knuckles?" Sonia said and Chuck let go of Sonic so she could look at them.
"You said I could come back when I proved he was alive and I did. But we stayed and took care of him for you." Sonic said with her arms crossed.
"You heard the song." Knuckles said and they nodded.
"Am I free to come back or no?"
"Yes. You're welcome back to Mobotropolis, reclaim the title princess Sonic and heir to the throne." Aleena said and Sonic nodded.
Then she stood there trying to decide if she should walk over to them or not.
"It's OK." Knuckles said gently and rubbed her back. "You can go and hug them."
"I, I, I can't." Sonic said shaking her head breaking everyone's heart.
"OK." he said. "Can you hug me so I can get that anxiety attack to stop coming?" he asked and she nodded so he held her close.
Everyone watched them and the people that were on Sonic's side smiled happily Knuckles stayed with her.
'Thank you Knuckles.' Chuck thought.
"It's gonna be OK." Knuckles whispered gently and held her close. "I'm right here and not leaving you." he said and Sonic nodded.
Aleena looked at them with tears wanting to go down seeing what she'd done to her oldest while Sonia and Manic saw what little trust Sonic had in all of them.
"We can just go back home. You can move into Tails' Workshop like he offered and Team Dark can get you a job in a heartbeat. You can move into Angel Island if you want to or I'm sure Cream and Vanilla would take you in in a second." Knuckles said gently and Sonic started to calm down. "You have us as a team and your family now if that's what you want. Chuck can come visit anytime and when you're ready, you can come back."
Aleena had even more tears going down in guilt.
'What kind of mother am I?' she thought while Sonia and Manic stood next to her doing the same thing.
When Sonic calmed down Knuckles let go but kept a hand on her waist for comfort.
"He's gone because I unlocked Super Dark Sonic. The most powerful form I hold and don't even require the Chaos Emeralds for. I just need to be angry enough and that time I finally reached the top of my limit." Sonic said and looked at them all. "You all thought I was lying except some people. Me, a Freedom Fighter and Resistance member at the age of four when uncle Chuck took me in! I knew he was too smart to end that easy. You all knew I had an IQ almost matching him myself for Chaos sake!" she said and they winced while the people that believed her nodded.
"Go." someone said and she turned to see Cyrus.
"What?"
"Go back with Knuckles." he said smiling. "They're the people that know you, care about you and actually know you the way we used to. Start out small by maybe just visiting once a month and then slowly come more often and when you're ready, if you're ready, take the throne and become the queen I know you'll be."
"Please don't!" Sonia said and they looked at her.
"You and Manic turned your back on her Sonia. Her brother and sister of all people." Taylor said.
"It's up to Sonic, not you." Knuckles said with his arms crossed looking at her.
"I, I can't do it Knuckles. I thought I could but I can't. I, I have to go back with you." Sonic said and started having another panic attack so he gently put his hands on her shoulders and looked at her.
"OK, OK, we'll go back and we can go hang out at Tails'. You can move in there, at the island or whoever's place you want I'm sure. Shadow will get you the best therapist he can find and Rouge will get you a job at GUN if you want. Then you can hang out with us like we always do and just have fun. Come here once a month and I can come with you if you want. And then one day you can move in and take Aleena's place and become queen. But now we're going back to the crew and getting you mentally stable. OK?" he said gently and she nodded calming down.
"Tell me what her therapist prescribes her and I'll pay for it." Chuck said and they looked at him. "I'll send her money whenever she needs it, all she needs to do is call and I'll give her what she needs unlike Aleena. Alright?" he said and they nodded.
"I'll let you know when she's all set." Knuckles said and Chuck nodded and he looked at Aleena, Sonia and Manic. "This is what I've been doing for the last seven years. I've been taking care of her for you since you left her. We're the true family she has now. Now we're going back to our place and hanging out with our family." he said and they nodded so he looked at Sonic. "You wouldn't happen to have an Emerald with you, would you?"
"Yeah." Sonic said, took the green one out and handed it to him. "Found it this morning. Shadow has the blue one, Silver has the yellow one and Tails has the rest in the safe for the next fight we'd need them for. Since me, Shadow and Silver can Chaos Control we all thought we should start holding onto one incase we needed to get away faster than running." she said and he nodded.
"Alright, you ready?"
"Yeah." she said and looked at Chuck who gave her a hug.
"Call if you need anything." Chuck said and she nodded then he let go and backed up.
"Let's go home. Chaos Control!" Knuckles said and they were gone.
Everyone stood there thinking about what happened and regretted what they did.
Meanwhile everyone was at Tails' Workshop when a light came and Sonic and Knuckles came standing there.
"Sonic?" everyone said.
"Hey." Sonic said.
"What's up?" Knuckles said and handed her the Emerald.
"What are you doing here?" Tails asked.
"I'm coming home." she said smiling and they all smiled.
