Disclaimer: This is my very first time writing a fanfiction, and I learned a lot during the process of writing this story, and I'm still learning as I write every chapter. So the writing quality kinda increases with every chapter, with some chapters being significantly better than the last. I had the idea to re-write the first few chapters, but I really like that you can see how my style grows and evolves throughout the course of the story. Anyways, I'm sorry for yapping, thank you for reading, and I'll let you start reading now.
Chapter One - Do you wanna be an idol?
—
[Timeline 1 / July 16, 2020- Throne room of the Universe's Courthouse]
—
The council sits on their podiums as they await their esteemed guest.
Seated at the centre podium is the acting head of the council,
[ Ouro Kronii - Father Time ]
To her right is the council's peacemaker and vice leader,
[ Ceres Fauna - Life Itself ]
Sitting on the clock's left hand is the embodiment of the universe,
[ Tsukumo Sana - Master of Worlds ]
At the farthest right podium sits the council's youngest member being less than 10 million years old,
[ Nanashi Mumei - Humanities Keeper ]
And sitting at the left of the master of worlds is the council's wild card and appointed leader.
[ Hakos Baelz - The Anti-Council ]
Suddenly, the doors of the throne room burst open. Their guest had arrived.
"Hey, sorry I'm late, I brought the info about our newest members"
[ Tokino Sora - The creator's mouthpiece ]
Sora looked out of breath, she had clearly been running.
Fauna points to a chair near the throne room's entrance. "Take a seat and catch your breath, and then you can tell us the details."
"Thanks." Sora said as she took a seat and a deep breath.
She proceeded to pull out a small notebook and began to speak. "The managers have reported that the Atlantian officially joined our company just yesterday."
"An Atlantian? Didn't they die off like, 9000 years ago?" Baelz asks Fauna out of curiosity. "Oh, they're very much alive. I hid them under the sea to protect them." Fauna explained to the curious chaos. "What? Why didn't you tell me?" Baelz asks, her tone sounding a little upset. "I didn't think you would care." Fauna says, finding humour in Baelz's unexpected reaction. "Nah, I don't."Bae laughs cheekily, each giggle echoing in the giant throne room.
Kronii raises her hand to signal the two to be quiet, wanting to continue the discussion. "Sora, continue."
Sora looks once again at her notebook and continues her report. "Okay, so Fauna has convinced the Grim Reaper to join us, and she's bringing the phoenix with her. They'll be joining us aswell."
"The reaper and the phoenix huh? Wondering why they're coming together?" Baelz says, wiggling her eyebrows in a way so absurdly comedic it shouldn't be physically possible. "Enough with the interruptions Bae, or else Kronii might get mad." Sana advises her fellow council member with a little humor.
"I seriously will get mad, so shut up." Kronii commands, looking at Baelz with a slightly irritated look.
"Tch, I make you the leader and now you think you can boss me around." Baelz complains as she places her feet upon her podium in defiance. "Then do you wanna be the leader? You are free to resume your duties at any time." Kronii's question had placed a defeated look on Bae's face.
"Alright, alright, continue your report 'Mrs. Mouthpiece'." Bae wiped the smile off her face aswell as her feet from her podium.
Sora began to speak, a serious look forming on her face. "We've found Cthulhu's new priestess, and she's accepted our invitation to join us."
After hearing the news, Mumei turns to Kroniii and warns her. "The Laplace demon predicted that Cthulhu's going to revive itself through its priestess next year. We need someone to make sure that this prediction doesn't come true."
"Don't worry about that, I've found a candidate who could watch over this entire generation." Kronii tells Mumei assuredly.
"You have to make sure they're capable Kronii. The 'extinct' Atlantian, the immortal phoenix, Cthulhu's priestess, and the grim reaper herself. This is quite the extraordinary bunch. It's a lot for one person to handle." Sana advises.
Kronii turns to Sana and gives her a look of assurance. "I've been watching her for a while now, she has a strong drive, and incredible intelligence. Of all the people I've seen, she's the most capable. And she's cute too."

{Stage 0 - Let's Become Idols!}
—
[Timeline 1 / July 16, 2020 - Hololive Japan's office]
—
Hololive is a company focused on creating idols who provide a variety of entertainment. From live streaming, to releasing music and performing in online and in person concerts.
Well… that's how it seems to the public, but the truth is that it's actually a sanctuary for extraordinary people and creatures that should only exist in fairytales. The company offers them protection and a pay check in exchange for having them work as idols. I have come to their headquarters to interview some of their members, who are surprisingly open to answering questions.
[ Amelia Watson - Prodigy Detective ]
"Good afternoon"
I start every interview with the same sentence.
[ Sakura Miko - The Kirin's Maiden ]
/
[ Roboco-San - Living Android ]
/
[ Inugami Korone - Hololive's gaming yokai ]
"If you don't mind me asking, what are you?"
I ask if they mind because I feel as though this question could be offensive to some people.
"I'm the elite shrine maiden of the shrine of the Kirin, Ceres Fauna."
/
"I'm an android created by Indonesia's god blacksmith, Kaela Kovalskia."
/
"I'm an Inugami, a kind of dog spirit."
"How did you learn about Hololive?"
How does this company go about advertising itself without the general public finding out and why do all the members join in generations is something i'm curious about.
"I was given a personal invitation by a member of the council. Everyone in my generation joined the same way."
/
"Hmm… I was given an invitation by the council, so Kaela told me to accept so I could investigate the company before she joined herself."
/
"The scouts just reached out to me and offered me an invitation. I'm pretty sure it's the same for everyone else."
After asking some more questions, it's time for Korone to go.
"Thank you for your time Korone." I say, packing my things. "No problem, call me any time!" She told me with a glad look on her face, I think she enjoyed the interview.
Huff*
I let out a tired sigh, today was a long day. Taking a seat, I review what I've learned. There really are unique people in this place. Yesterday I interviewed a demon, and a mage, and today was a shrine maiden, an android, and a dog spirit.
It seems that every few months or years, Hololive will send scouts to find people like these and offer them their protection. All the scouts go at set times causing the members to join in batches, and there seems to be no way to learn about the truth of this company without being approached bya scout first. That is, unless you're an amazing detective.
As I exit the storage room I used as an impromptu interviewing room, I see a lady walk up to me, her blue hair making her stand out quickly.
"How were your interviews Watson?"
[ "A-Chan" - Hololive's Top Manager ]
"It was great, I learned a lot. You sure you're ok with these interviews?" It was kinda perplexing that they would just let someone like me just interview their members that they are supposed to be protecting in secret.
"It's fine, we're not very strict about information as long as it's just to satisfy your own curiosity. Ah, but if you plan to post this information online or something, the company has the means to silence you." She told me with a little giggle.
"But the main reason we let you do these interviews is because someone in the council was curious about you." A-Chan says, looking towards the door.
As she finishes talking I see a girl enter the room. She's tall and has a commanding presence. Her hair chain and circle... thingy giving her a striking appearance. Could she be part of the council?
"Good afternoon Amelia Watson, I'm Ouro Kronii, acting head of the council. I have a proposition I would like you to consider…
Do you wanna be an idol?"

{ Author's notes }
Hey! Yur3i here. Thanks for reading my story. This is my first time writing a fanfic so I hope it's not too horrible.
This first author's notes section is gonna be pretty long so, feel free to skip to the next chapter. I just wanna share my thoughts about writing a fanfiction for the first time.
With this author's note, I wanna share the story of how this story came to be. When I first watched the Myth's Bad Ending animation by Mazumaro, one thing stuck out to me immediately and got the creative juices flowing. There's this one scene were Amelia is in like a movie theatre setting with the symbols of all the council members hovering above a projector. This got me thinking about "What if the council was in Myth's Bad Ending?" And that was what the original concept of this story was. But I soon started thinking about the other girls and their lores and I came to a realisation. Hololive lore is really cool! And being a fan of shounen manga like Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, I started imagining this type of Hololive shounen battle manga, complete with a power system you'll see later. Eventually this turned into a story spanning multiple arcs. (There will be five total stages, including stage 0.) And with some inspiration from EPIC: The Musical by Jorge Rivera-Herrans, I fleshed out every major story arc and character.
Originally, I didn't intend to write a fanfiction, this idea was just that. An idea. And to be honest, I don't really even read fanfiction. But after I completed the conception of every stage (around the fifteenth of June.), I felt really motivated to write this fic. I studied by reading other fanfics and learned how a fanfiction should be written.
The plan was this: write every chapter, as in, the whole story. And then release it. That way, even if I was writing chapter twenty, I could go back and change details from chapter five, for example. But with school coming up in like, a week. I decided I was gonna release every chapter I had already written at once. That's why there's already eight chapters out. (I was supposed to write and release an extra three, but that proved to be too tall a task.)
So I hope you enjoy the eight chapters I've already prepared. I'll try to release a chapter every Monday, starting next, next Monday.
So, thank you once again for reading. I'm excited to see how this story will develop and how I'll develop as an author.
