It's a calm Sunday afternoon when Gumball had just arrived home after spending some times at Penny's house. As Gumball entered the house, he saw his adopted brother Darwin chilling at the couch. It seems like he's watching TV. Darwin also noticed Gumball's return as he spoke.

Darwin: "Oh hey dude, how's your times at Penny's?"

Gumball walks to Darwin and sits down on the couch next to him as he responds.

Gumball: "Well, it's good as usual! She just told me about her cheerleading activities at school on Friday next week as she's looking forward to it. That's all! How about you, dude? How's it going here?"

Darwin: "Well, I'm just relaxing myself a bit by watching TV."

Gumball looks at the TV as he asks curiously.

Gumball: "That's good. What are you watching?"

Darwin: "Well, just some funny gameshow to calm down my brain a bit before I go studying..."

Gumball look back at Darwin with a raised eyebrow.

Gumball: "A funny gameshow? That sounds cool! But wait, you said you'll go studying after that? Study for what?"

Darwin: "Well, miss Simian said that there'll be an exam tomorrow, you know?"

This information made Gumball groaned a bit before he spoke with an annoyed look on his face.

Gumball: "Ugh seriously? Of course. Recently, I've been so focused on sport practices at school that I almost forgot about the exam tomorrow!"

Darwin: "Oh well, I hope the exam tomorrow won't be too hard..."

Gumball replies as he crossed his arms slightly.

Gumball: "Yeah man, I hope so too...but you know Miss Simian! She has always been a difficult person. So the exam might be a bit hard..."

Darwin:*sigh sadly* "Yeah. I know."

Gumball sigh as he gets up from the couch and started to head to the stairs.

Gumball: "I'm gonna go to my room. Good luck on your study..."

Darwin: "Thanks! And good luck to you too, Gumball!"

Gumball turned around and nodded at Darwin in appreciation. He then continued to walk to the stairs and up to his room. Once Gumball entered his room, he took out a few books to study for the tomorrow exam. Then he sat at his desk as he opened the book and started studying. And surprisingly, he look very focus! He's definitely taking his studying pretty seriously right now! Suddenly, the room's door was opened as his sister Anais entered the room. She notices Gumball as she greets.

Anais: "Oh hey Gumball! What are you up to?"

Noticing his sister's appearance, Gumball look up from his book and turned to Anais.

Gumball: "Oh hey Anais. I'm just doing some studying for the exam tomorrow."

Anais got a little surprised at his comment as she responds.

Anais: "Woah, you're studying genuinely? Like really concentrating on your studies seriously without slacking off?"

Gumball nods at his sister as he speaks.

Gumball: "Yep! For real, sis! This exam is very important!"

Anais hesitates in surprise. Gumball rarely takes his studies seriously back before. Well, not only his studies. Formerly, Gumball used to be such a troublemaker and caused a lot of trouble for everyone around him. But recently, he has been improved and has grown mature a lot! And everyone was all surprised by his personality change at first, including his sister Anais. She looked at her brother again as she spoke.

Anais: "Well... Honestly, you're growing mature so much that I think I couldn't recognize the old you anymore, Gumball..."

Gumball chuckled a bit from his sister's comment as he spoke.

Gumball: "Yeah I know... I'm even surprised by myself. I never thought that I would actually take studying seriously. But eh, I guess it's because of a few certain events that made me become more mature, I guess...Plus, I don't want to make Mom disappointed again, you know?"

Anais: "Yeah, I know that."

Gumball: "Heh...you know...in the past I would normally slack off during studying. I'm not gonna lie, I still want to slack off sometimes, but not as much as before anymore! Now I'm trying my best to study seriously, and I hope that I could get at least a decent grade from the exam".

Anais gave his brother a smile as she walks to the bed, sitting on it as she responds back to Gumball.

Anais: "It's good to know that you're improving yourself, including your studies right now..."

Gumball: "I know, sis. I'm glad that you understands."

Anais nodded as she takes out a random book that she brought with her to read. She looks at his brother and said.

Anais: "You can go back to your studying now, Gumball."

Gumball nodded at her before he turned to his own book and continue his studying. 15 minutes passed and it seemed like Gumball was starting to lose his focus as he let out a sigh.

Gumball: "Oh man... This is starting to get boring though..."

Anais was still reading on the bed behind Gumball when she notices his struggles in front of her. Anais asked Gumball with a bit worried tone.

Anais: "Is everything alright, Gumball?"

Gumball:*sigh* "It's starting to get boring for me... I don't know how much longer I can keep this up..."

This made Anais got a bit nervous for her brother. He's not interested in studying as much as she is. Finally, after a moment of hesitation, Anais has made a decision.

Anais: "Well, I can help you study if you want..."

OMG! She just offered to help him study! This indeed made Gumball's eyes widen in surprise but he nod in acceptance by the way.

Gumball: "Woah...are you sure? You actually want to help me?"

Anais: "Sure! Can't I allowed to help my big brother for once?"

Gumball was a bit touched from that. He smiled as he looked at his little sister.

Gumball: "Yeah... I guess you can. Thank you Annie. I'm honestly pretty surprised that you want to help me..."

Anais: "Anytime, Gumball."

After that, Anais went to get a chair and goes sitting near her brother at the desk. Gumball scoot over a bit to give Anais some space. He then pushed the book closer to her.

Gumball: "Okay...um...where do we start?"

Anais: "So what type of exam is this time? Individual or comprehensive?"

Gumball: "It's a comprehensive one, sis. So this might be tough!"

Anais: "Alright, tell me the subject that you're struggling the most first!"

Gumball thought for a moment before he answered.

Gumball: "Hmm...I would say math...math is something I'd struggled a lot with. It's pretty hard to understand it sometimes..."

Anais: "Alright. Prepare your pen and notebook! It's time to get going!"

Gumball nodded and take out his pen and notebook as he got himself ready!

Gumball: "Ok, I'm ready! Let's go!"

And after that, the two siblings studied together very passionately. Surprisingly, with the help of his sister, Gumball understood the lesson very quickly and well! Except for dinner time, the two of them spent most of their time studying. And finally, late at night, they were done. As they finished everything, Anais looked at her brother and asks.

Anais: "So how do you feel, Gumball?"

Gumball was relieved. He's also exhausted from the long time of studying but he had a happy look on his face.

Gumball: "Wow... I feel...pretty good actually...I'm surprised that I'd actually understood the lesson! I couldn't understand most of it in the beginning, but thanks to you, I'd managed to got it all in the bag! Thanks a lot for the help, sis. If it wasn't for you I might probably flunked the exam for sure. But now I feel so confident that I would do well on the exam for sure!"

Anais: "That's the spirit, Gummy! And well done, I'm so proud of you, you know?"

This made Gumball chuckled softly as he rubbed the back of his head.

Gumball: "Heh, thanks Annie. I'm honestly surprised that I'm actually taking my studies seriously! I'd usually be negligent on that in the past. But after I did a lot of thinking, I realize how important it is and I should actually take it seriously! And beside, I want to be a more reliable big brother to you...and I don't want to make everyone, especially Mom, disappointed anymore."

Anais nods as she gives Gumball a small hug.

Anais: "Aww... you could never let all of us down, big brother!"

Gumball smiled as he returned the hug to his sister. He chuckled softly as he let out a happy sigh.

Gumball: "Heh...thanks again for the compliment, sis. I honestly didn't think you would really see me that way...and to be honest...I always thought that I'd always let everyone down because of how immature I am. I used to make a lot of stupid mistakes...but thanks for all the support anyways. It means a lot to me!"

Anais: *nods* "You're welcome. And those were all in the past, Gumball. Now I'm glad that you're different now."

Gumball: "Yeah...I'm glad too. I honestly like my new self better now. I feel more happier now. I don't get jealous as often anymore, I'm not as cocky and arrogant as I was in the past, and I don't get in trouble with Mom frequently anymore as I've become more responsible now..."

Gumball let out a sigh of relief as he continues.

Gumball: "Heh... You know, in the past I would normally take everything for granted, I caused trouble all the time and I would do anything just to get what I want, even if it means hurting people's feelings...But now, I'm more mature, more responsible and now I actually care about others and learned from my mistake. And I would say that a lot of people had helped me achieve those things."

Gumball said all of those lines with a satisfied look on his face. He definitely seems proud of himself for changing. Anais gave her brother a nod of approval as she let out a yawn.

Anais: "I know, and I appreciate it. And yeah, it's kinda late now, Gumball. We should go to bed."

Gumball nodded slowly and yawns as well.

Gumball: "Yeah, we should go to bed now. I'm pretty tired from all the studying we did. Plus I gotta get up early for the exam tomorrow...".

Gumball then stands up from his chair and stretch a bit. He's a bit exhausted from the whole study session with his sister.

Anais: "Yeah. Let's go brush our teeth first! Then it's bed time!"

Gumball nods in agreement.

Gumball: "Yeah, let's go do that. I really need some good sleep here...".

The two of them then walked out of their room and headed to the bathroom. After finishing their personal hygiene, they went back to their room and went to bed. Gumball climbs into his bed. He pulled the blanket over himself and yawns again. He looks pretty tired from all the studying earlier. After he got himself comfortable, he looked over Anais's on the second floor of the bunk bed as he spoke.

Gumball: "Good night, Anais..."

Anais: *responds* "Good night for you too, Gumball."

As Gumball's lying peacefully on his bed, he thinks about his study session with Anais earlier. He never thought that he'd enjoyed it like that! He let out a soft smile as he believed, that with the whole study session he just had with his genius sister, he would do well in the exam tomorrow and get a good grade!

Gumball let himself thinking for a while before he closed his eyes. He then slowly fell asleep, letting himself to rest after a tiring and exhausting day of studying.
