Curem POV
It's been a few days since Yuki told me about her life. It was quite interesting to hear about each of the previous generations of the Fellhorns. Ava and I have been hanging out even more. I've been feeling different around her and I'm not sure why.
I feel… Lighter and happier around her… I've been thinking about how cute she looks, and how adorable her laugh is… I've found myself thinking about her more and more…
I need someone to talk to about this, but who… I'd get too embarrassed with Luz and the others, there's no way I'm talking to Ava's dad… Yuki's a good option! I'll do that. In the meantime, I'll go meet Ava on the way to Hexside.
While walking to school, we keep ourselves busy by making each other laugh and just chatting about what's been happening. Even when parting ways to go to class, I can't stop thinking about her…
During lunch, we ate together and the feelings just kept getting stronger. I need to figure this out as soon as possible. As we keep hanging out, I can't shake how beautiful she is…
As I'm on my way home, we part ways, and her smile is still stuck in my head. I catch myself blushing, starting to have an idea on what my feelings could be, despite never feeling this way before. I go to sleep to talk to Yuki about it.
Ava POV
I can't shake how I'm feeling about Curem. I can't get him out of my head. He's so caring, his laugh is cute, his adorable smile… As long as I take this at my pace, I can do this…
Heading to sleep, I begin to dream of him…
Curem POV
As I drift off, I appear in the cemetery once again. Yuki greets me with her usual smile. "Hello again! I can tell you wish to talk to me." I respond positively, and she goes on "Well, since I can monitor your feelings, I know its about your confusion with your feelings about Ava." I begin blushing a little before speaking. "Yes, I thought you'd be the least embarrassing person to talk to about love…"
"Ah, so you've figured it out?" she replies "Not exactly… I've never felt this way about someone before… And I want to figure it out a bit more before I talk to her about it…"
"I see," Yuki begins, "Well, tell me how she makes you feel then. Even if I already know from sensing your emotions, it often makes people feel better to talk it all out with someone close." she finishes with her ever elegant smile. "Well…" I begin listing everything of how I've been feeling around her, with Yuki listening intently.
"Yes, what you are feeling is most likely love." She says matter-of-factly.
Ava POV
After thinking about it over and over again, I've come up with a plan. On the weekend, I'll ask Curem out, we'll go to a pretty spot I found in the woods, and I'll tell him how I feel.
Curem POV
I was planning to ask Ava out today, but it seems like she had an idea already. She brings me to a beautiful spot in the woods, pulls out a blanket and sits down, watching the sunset. I gingerly sit next to her, waiting to work up the courage to say something.
I begin to speak up, hiding my nervousness as best I could. "So, Ava, I was actually planning to hang out and talk to you today about something…" "Y-Yeah?" she replies, seemingly equally as nervous as I am.
"Well… I've been feeling different with you… In ways that I haven't felt with anyone else. It's taking a lot of courage to say this, but… Do you want to go on a date?"
Suddenly, her blush intensifies tenfold. After processing what I ask, she begins laughing. I am overtaken by horror for a moment before she replies. "Yes, haha! I was planning to ask you the same thing!"
Now it was my turn for an intense blush. "R-Really?" I ask. "Absolutely you goof! Oh my Titan I was so nervous about this but we felt the same way!" She nearly yells in a tone of relief. I start laughing too, we both felt the same about each other and felt the same about trying to tell each other.
Ava and I bring each other in for a hug, our faces almost as red as Amity's gets. We just sit there in our embrace for a while until the sun fully sets. Going home, as we're about to part ways, she quickly pecks my cheek with a kiss. Hesitating for a moment, I reach out and grab her wrist.
"Actually… Could we stay at my house, I don't want you to leave yet…" Ava, with her ever-beautiful smile responds. "Sure, I'll tell my dad im staying over then!" After texting her dad, she walks home with me.
Reaching my house, I offer her some leftovers, and we just happily exist in each other's presence for a while. Once we're both tired, I begin to lead Ava up to the guest room, but before I could say anything, she holds my hand with a blush.
"Wait, instead of the guest room, since we know how we feel, could we… Uh… Cuddle… In your bed?" She asks, clearly still nervous. I blush at the bluntness of it, but begin to smile. "Oh… Well… Sure! Uhm, wow…"
We enter my room, and I nervously ask a question. "So uhh… How do we want to do this? Do you want to face each other or… uh… Cuddle like spoons? I think that's something Luz mentioned once or twice…"
"I'd… Like for us to face each other… If you're ok with that…" She responds, getting into the bed with me. We lay next to each other, our faces a bright crimson, inches apart. Feeling bold, I give her a quick kiss on the forehead before saying good night, pulling her slightly closer, and we fall asleep together.
