Summery: Is it wrong to hate someone you just met? Alastor didn't think so, but maybe he was too quick to judge the king of hell. Maybe angels are better mannered then man, and more attractive?! Rated M for hell themes such as cussing, violence, and possible shenanigans. (Aka: Demon Hornyniss)
Chapter 1: Angels and demons
After the rebuild of the hotel, everyone had settled into their new rooms. Charlie had been running around all morning getting ready for the grand reopening, and to her surprise there came a sudden knock at the front door. "I'll get it!" She shouted, rapping her fingers around the handle. "Welcome to the Hazbin... oh! Hi dad." She smiled warmly at her father. "Hey Char-Char!" Lucifer answered back happily, dropping his bags to give his daughter a tight hug. Once they split, Charlie's eyes wondered to his luggage. "Are you moving in too?!" She asked happily. "If you'll have me." He gave a sharp toothy grin. "Of course! Of course! Please come in!" She rushed him inside before continuing, "So you're moving out of the palace?"
"No... yes... kinda? It's just not the same without you and your mom... I thought, maybe a change in scenery would be best. Besides, I told you that I will support your dream and that's what I plan to do... if you'll have me." He said proudly, smiling as he watched his daughter'a eyes water with excitement . "Oh dad, thank you! Of course you can stay! The more the merrier!"
"Was no one going to ask my opinion?" Alastor huffed as his plastered smile twitched. "He's my dad Alastor, not to mention the king of hell." Charlie stepped forward before her father could speak. "But why? What would he bring to the hotel? We can't just let him hang around, he might intimidate new arrivals." Alastor's smile became smug as he leaned on his staff. Charlie bit her lip, turning her head back towards the king. "Not to worry my 'deer' Alastor~ I will handle angelic relations! If heaven needs to get involved, I'm your guy! Not to mention, I AM an angel and I lived in heaven. I can teach their rules and regulations." He smiled back, making Alastor uncomfortable. On the other hand Charlie was ecstatic, she could hardly stop herself from literally jumping for joy. "REALY DAD! That is so thoughtful! Of course you can handle heavenly affairs! Thank you so so so so much!!" She shouted, giving him another hug. Lucifer patted her head lovingly. "Anything for my baby girl." He replied, giving Alastor a smug side eye.
The deer demon could hardly believe it, he was being forced to work with the king of Hell. He walked down the last bit of stairs before coming closer to his new coworker. "Well then, I must formally welcome you to the Hazbin Hotel your majesty. It will be a pleasure working with you. Let's work together to make this place better than ever before!" Alastor grinned, holding out his hand for a shake. The angel stopped and stared at it, not noticing Charlie's concerned expression. "I'm not touching that." He hissed, sharpening his eyes to a glare. "I see, how are we supposed to work together if you don't trust me?" Al asked, sill holding out his hand with a smile. "How about this..." the angel unfolded his wings to look more intimidating, "I will respect your boundaries if you respect mine. My deals and relations are my own doing, and I don't make deals with sinners." He hissed once more, eyes glowing red with anger. "Dad." Charlie said in a warning tone. "Now now Morningstars, I'm not trying to make a deal. I'm just trying to welcome you. I understand your concerns, but I'm really not all that bad~" Alastor chuckled as he pulled his hand back to rest on his staff. "I will respect your boundaries your majesty, and hope we can become friends in the future. Now I must be off, I have a meeting with a dear friend of mine."
"Al, before you go, would you help my dad to his room? Please?" Charlie ask nicely, watching her father nervously as he folded up his wings. "It's ok Char, I can do it myself..."
"NONSENSE! I would love to help our new colleague." Alastor snapped his fingers, and all the bags began to levitate. "Right this way your majesty." The demon began to climb the stairs as the angel looked up at his daughter. "I can do it myself. I don't need HIS help."
"Dad, just try to get along. He helped me get this place started, the least you can do is try."
The king sighed before Alastor called out, "I would really appreciate it if you would hurry along please." Creating another sigh from him. "I'm coming... See you later alligator." He smiled at Charlie. "In a while crocodile!" She smiled back with a shared chuckle.
"I feel like you made this tower for yourself." Alastor gestured at the door with a bright red apple that led into the apple shaped tower. "To be honest, I did, and I also put your tower back together. Just so you know." The Angel huffed as his fingers went to touch the knob. "That was your doing?" Alastor took a step back in shock, dropping the king's luggage unintentionally. Lucifer turned to face the demon, but instead of lashing out, he gazed at Alastor's ears that had flattened against his head. "Al, you ok?"
"What? Oh, yes yes I'm fine my dear." The deer fixed his posture and snapped his fingers once more. The door flew open and the bags laid themselves next to the kings bed. "'My dear'?" Lucifer chuckled after quoting the demon. "Oh... um... sorry. My thoughts slipped. You remind me so much of Charlie, I forgot who I was talking to." Al covered up his nerves with an even bigger smile. "I see. That's alright. Thank you for helping with my bags." The angel genuinely smiled. "Not a problem at all. Thank you for joining our team, and the help with rebuilding. My room looks just as I left it." Alastor handed over the key as he spoke. "You're welcome, and if you need anything don't hesitate to ask. You did go up against Adam for my daughter, and that took courage." There hands touch as the king took the key. A small spark made them both jump in surprise. "W-well then I should be off. My friend wouldn't like it if I kept her waiting." Alastor quickly turned around and began to walk down the hall with curiosity swirling around in his mind. "Now why would he do that for me?" He asked out loud.
"Alastor~ you know better than to keep a woman waiting." Rosie teased with her vicious smile. "I'm so sorry my dear, I had an unexpected... inconvenience I had to sort out. Hahaha!" He laughed playfully, taking a seat. "Do tell ~ you know I love a good story!" Rosie clapped her hands and leaned back to listen. "Alright then, on my way out of the door you would never guess who was standing in the entrance." He started off playfully. "Well don't keep me in suspense!" She chuckled. "The king of Hell himself! He has finally decided to help run the hotel."
"Oh my, that is interesting. Go on."
"Now the three of us are working together. I'm not sure how this will turn out."
"Working with the king~ My my what an opportunity! You do have a favor from the princess, do you think you can get the king on your side as well?"
"It's too early to tell. I may have teased him a bit too much during our first encounter."
"Alastor, now why would you go and do that? I know you don't like men, but sometimes you should consider the consequences."
Alastor turned his head away for a brief moment before continuing, "You have a point, but something about him doesn't feel quite right."
"Oh? Whatever is the matter?" Rosie's smile turned to worry.
"His presence just feels different. For instance, the everyday fellow sinners I come into contact with makes me feel aggressive or defensive, but Charlie and Lucifer make me feel... relaxed? Like when I'm talking with you or Zestiel."
"Aw~ you're relaxed around me?" Rosie teased.
"Well, yes. You are my friend aren't you?" Alastor's smile widened.
"Of course dear~ I wouldn't want it any other way!" Rosie chuckled and leaned back with a hum. "You know, those two aren't sinners. That might be the reason."
"But Adam is... was an angel and I didn't like him either."
"But he was a man at one point. Maybe you don't like mortals, but tolerate divine beings."
Alastor leaned back as well. He thought about that possibility. Men do put him on edge, but can Lucifer really be considered a man? Men have free will, does Lucifer? Probably, he made choices of his own. Granted they got him banishment to Hell.
Alastor pondered the thought. Can he really compare Lucifer to men? Should he try to get along with the king of Hell?
"Alastor sweetie, don't think too hard. Just take it slow, like any relationship. If you happen to become friends, then that's great! But you won't know until you give him a chance."
Alastor grumbled in response. The reason he instantly disliked the angel was because he was a father. Pushing his buttons felt right at the time, because Charlie didn't seem to like her dad... but now she fully embraced him. She forgave him so quickly, unlike Alastor and his father. Maybe he could try to be 'nicer' to the angel. "Alright Rosie. I will attempt to get along with him. I will let you know if there is a shift in our relations."
"Please do~ I'm eager to learn more about the king of Hell!"
