A/N: I just found out Alastor is a black coffee kinda guy and doesn't like tea... but I don't really wanna go back and change a simple thing like that. I'm gonna say if he does drink tea it's gotta be bitter as all hell, and that's what I was going for anyway. Please enjoy, sorry for the rant.

Chapter 10: Familiar Feelings

A growl came from the kings room as he rummaged through his closet. The Al duck sat carefree on the bed as the monarch shuffled through his once neatly hung clothes. "What should I wear?" He mumbled to himself. He hadn't been outside the castle in decades. 'What do sinners even wear nowadays?' That's when he stopped and thought about how Alastor dressed. He had only seen him in his usual tailcoat and sleep wear. 'That doesn't help.' He frowned. "Maybe I should get something new? This is a special occasion." Then it hit him, "Angel is an actor! Maybe he can help!"

"Welcome short king~" the spider happily gestured the king inside. "Oh wow I love your room." Lucifer awed before a friendly pig waddled his way. "And aren't you the sweetest thing!" Luci bent down to pet the precious pig. "That's Fat Nuggets, he really seems to like you." Angel said, walking past the king to his glamorous closet. "Fat Nuggets Hu? What a name... I LOVE IT!" The king couldn't stop smiling as he rubbed the little guy's belly. "So what kind of outfit are we looking for?" The spider asked, clicking hangers continuously. "I'm going out, and I don't want to stand out too much but I also want to look nice."

"Look nice Hu? Seeing someone?"

"I hope so." The king continued to pet the piggy happily. "Well then~ let's see. You got a nice thin waist and you would wanna bring out your cheeks... what about red? It will blend into the background while making your pretty face pop!" The spider pulled out a lovely red shirt with long sleeves that puffed slightly. "I can tighten it with a corset."

The king stood up and sighed, "Maybe not a corset. They can be hard to dance in."

"Nonsense, lots of guys dance in them. Let's just try it on." Angel smirked. "Alright." The king slipped off his vest and shirt, acting a bit embarrassed as he took the garment. "Mmmm, the white is a bit much, let's try black." Angel hummed before diving back into the closet. "Red and black Hu?" Luci smiled, slipping the slightly large shirt over his head. It fit fine, just a bit roomy. Not bad for comfort. "I haven't worn these. Try this." Angel handed Luci a black pair of tight slacks with white lace. It looked like vines running down the sides. "Mmm, how about this." Lucifer snapped his fingers and the vines grew a few white apples, making the spider chuckle. "Cute, he's gonna like it. Now let's lace you up." Angel placed the corset around the king's waist and began to tighten the strings. "He? How did you.. Humph! Know... it's a ... too tight!" The king gasped, the air knocked out of him. The corset restricted his breathing as Angel pulled harder. "You and Al are obviously digging on each other."

"Why... so... tight?" Luci gasped uncomfortably. "Oh this? This is just payback for yesterday. I may not have mystical power, but I can handle myself." Angel smirked before releasing the lace a bit. The smaller man coughed, "I'm sorry... (breath)...I went a little too far."

"Apology accepted." Angel released the strings, allowing the other to breathe. "I'll try not to tease you two too much. I'm not a man stealer."

"Thanks Angel. I owe you one."

"Any time shortie."

The king walked nervously down the stairs, running his nails through his nearly slicked back hair. Once he entered the lobby, his heart came to a stop. Alastor stood there, talking to Charlie, with his hair pulled up into a ponytail. He was wearing a red tucked in shirt and long black slacks. When the deer noticed The Devil, they both stood and gazed up at one another. "You look fetching." Alastor stated, holding out a hand. "Thank you. You look dashing." Luci didn't mean to swoon as he took it. Al lowered his head, placing a gentle kiss on the soft black knuckles before asking, "Shall we be off?" The king swallowed hard as his heart beat came back alive. A gold dust of blush painted his cheeks. "Sure..." he croaked. "Dad." Charlie called, grabbing his attention. "What's the matter Char?"

His daughter stepped forward with a light smile and a hint of worry. "Have a good time."

"Thank's Apple." He smiled, kissing her cheek the best he could, "I love you Charlie. I always will." The king glanced at his wedding ring and took it off. "Here. I want you to have it. From me and your mother."

"Dad I cou..."

"It's alright. Your mother moved on, and now it's my turn."

"Okay." Charlie held the ring to her heart before scooping her father up into a hug. "Be careful alright?" She whispered, nuzzling into his shoulder. "I'll be fine. No need to worry Apple-pie." Once she released him, Luci nodded in reassurance before turning back to the patient deer. "Ready." The king took Al's arm before making their exit.

"They grow up so fast hu?" The spider joked playfully as he slipped into the room. Charlie couldn't help but chuckle, "Eavesdropping isn't nice Angel."

The walk was agonizingly quiet. Lucifer shuffled a bit closer, looking up at the smiling deer. "Soooo~ what brought this on?" He asked curiously. Alastor cleared his throat, "I find your company... pleasant... and I wanted to see if you felt the same." Luci smiled with a light dust of gold on his cheeks, "So you want to be more than friends?" He asked nervously. It felt like he was treading on thin ice. He didn't want to fall, but it would make him feel better if his thoughts were put to rest. "I am considering it." Al answered in a gentle voice, his ears laid back, and his eyes looked down at the king's as if looking for something. Luci couldn't help but smile sweetly. "I have a high opinion of you too." He chuckled, allowing his forked tongue to hiss playfully. Alastor didn't get a chance to respond, for Luci slipped out of his grasp and skipped towards the embassy. The devil turned as he opened the door. "Do you want to come in?"

"Am I allowed to?" Alastor stepped up slowly.

"Sure. As long as you're on your best behavior."

Alastor looked around the entrance as Luci walked further inside. The devil glanced behind him with a smirk thinking, 'His curiosity is so adorable.' In surprise, he gasped. "Luci? Everything alright?" Alastor stopped snooping and quickly slinked to the king's side. "Charlie got mail." The king looked so proud, like as if his daughter had taken her first steps. Al smirked, "Mail?"

"Yes mail! From Emily too!... I hope it's good news." The king's mood shifted and Al wouldn't stand for it. He slowly rapped an arm around the king's shoulders, giving him a gentle hug. "If it was bad news, I don't think that angel would doodle hearts and stars all over it." He pointed out. Luci's warm smile grew once more, making Al's heart skip. "You're right." Lucifer snapped his fingers and a portal appeared. He placed the letter inside and snapped it away. "Let's go."

It didn't take them long to arrive at the bar. It looked lively with women dancing on a stage, sinners of all kinds sitting at the bar, and imps waiting tables. "Oooo~ Fancy~" Lucifer hummed as Alastor led him to a booth close to the bar. "I normally sit here, if that's alright with you. I don't engage at the bar, and this seat is close enough for faster service." Al sat without an answer, and gestured for the king to sit. The stage was in perfect view and just before he could say anything, a small imp approached them. "What can I start you two..." The imp looked right at Alastor then at Lucifer before his nerves began to show. "I'll have a bottle of gin with a cup of ice." Alastor smirked. "A whole bottle?" Lucifer chuckled in disbelief. "Did you plan on doing anything else today?" Al asked slyly. "N-no... not really."

"Then let's relax, enjoy the drinks and music."

Lucifer stared at Al for a moment before turning his attention back to the imp. "I'm take the Hell's fishbowl." He smiled. "Yes sirs! Right away!" The imp nodded before bolting away from the table. "You like everything sweet don't you?" Al asked teasingly. "Not everything." Lucifer mirrored the playful energy.

It didn't take long for the imp to return with the drinks and a complimentary sampler of appetizers. Being high ranking beings of Hell had its perks. "Thank you." Lucifer handed the imp a few bills, almost double the amount that was already in front of them. "No your highness, I can't." The imp refused the money but Luci smiled. "Of course you can. You deserve a well earned tip." The king slipped the money in the little creature's hand. "Thank you sir!" He peeped before scuttling off.

"Do you always tip your servers a hundred percent of the bill?" Alastor smirked, swirling his drink. "Hell borns didn't get a chance of heaven in the first place. They don't deserve sinners pushing them around." Luci took a drink before meeting his date's eyes. Alastor looked intrigued. The red eyes sparked for just a moment. "I think that's very noble of you. Stupid, maybe, but noble just the same."

Lucifer sighed, "His shoes have holes, and I could tell he wasn't feeling his best. Maybe a new pair of shoes and a hot meal will do him some good."

Alastor took another look, then back to Lucifer. 'He's so observant! Impressive.' Alastor's ears flipped directions for a second as he thought.

The king had no idea how the change the subject until Alastor said, "You really are an angel." It made him smile. "Did you doubt that? I do have wings." The deer now realized he spoke his thoughts out loud. He couldn't be drunk already... right? He stumbled to speak, "I meant, that you act like one. Not that you aren't one." This made Luci giggle, "I see. I can act pretty hellish too, you know." A tail smacked the deer's shoe, making him jump.

The two talked as they drank. The bottle of gin was one glass away from being empty and the bowl was long gone. Luci had been sipping a water for some time now. He noticed Alastor liked to talk. He went on and on about the radio and music. Luci smiled and nodded, paying attention, but was ready for a new subject. "Once you're done with that glass, do you want to dance?" Luci asked, swaying his tail under the table. "Of course, my darling." Al's eyes looked eager as he downed the last bit. 'He's definitely drunk.' Lucifer sighed softly. Angel's had a hard time getting drunk. Having healing powers weren't always a blessing. He did feel a bit tipsy, but the water had helped with any discomfort.

Alastor got up and offered the king his hand. "Your highness." The deer said bowing his head slightly. Lucifer couldn't help but smile as he took the other's hand. Alastor went to lead, but hesitated. With both of them being male, he wasn't quite sure what to do until Lucifer placed his hands on the deer's shoulder. "You can lead. I don't mind." Lillith always led, so he was already comfortable in the position. Alastor placed a hand on the angel's hip and before gliding him around. Their eyes meet as they began to converse with one another. "You seem rather sober my dear. Was your drink not strong enough?" Al asked curiously. Lucifer sighed before answering, "Having healing abilities aren't all what they're cracked up to be. Only Bee's creations hit me hard enough to feel much of anything."

"Bee?"

"Oh yes, Beelzebub. The queen of gluttony."

"That makes sense. She infuses her power into food and drinks?"

"Precisely. Maybe I can pull a few strings and get you something. Maybe I should get a cake or something for everyone.* Lucifer thought for a moment, knowing Charlie and Vaggie might protest the idea.

"Are the treats... drugged?"

"No, not in the human sense anyway."

"Then may I ask what its like?"

"Like... pure joy, without a care in the world. No hangover, but it can cause stomachaches if you eat too much."

Alastor thinks for a moment. "I wouldn't mind trying it, at least once."

Lucifer chuckled. "You know, I haven't danced like this in ages. I missed having a partner."

This statement made Alastor look away for a moment. "I've danced with many people, but with you it feels new and different."

The Angel couldn't help be blush. The warm fuzzy feelings running through his body. The familiar sensation helps him relax as he gently takes Alastor's free hand. This makes the deer freeze for a moment, but he quickly snaps out of his surprise and interlocks their fingers. "Comfortable?" The deer asked, getting a nod from his partner. "Comforting, really."

They both chuckle, enjoying the feeling of closeness. The warm familiar feeling of love running running through them both.
