Airfield at Reno, Nevada

The Rotors of the InGen Helicopter were still spinning when the Landcruiser pulled into the lot. Once Raegis and Allysa met up with the InGen staff, they were brought to the chopper, loaded in and were told to fasten their seat belts. Pretty soon the chopper took off from the Airfield, Alyssa was told that her landcruiser would be taken care off while they were gone, and as they watched the city pass below them she wondered where they were going exactly.

"Hey, where are we going?" She asked an InGen officer on the helicopter.

"San Diego, we have a ship waiting for us there." The Officer said, "Once we are there, you will board the ship which will take you and the landing team to the Isla Muerta, have you briefed Dr Raegis on what he needs to do?"

"Somewhat." She said, she turned to Doctor Raegis, "We need you to help us find the Genome-Data in those Hard Drives, we can't be sure where they were stored by you guys since there wasn't much official word on where to keep them, InGen looked the other way when they built Site-C, and they forgot to make the storage place official."

"I know where that is." Raegis said, "I can show you guys."

"Good." The Pilot said, the helicopter was flying over the open desert of southwestern Nevada now, and through the window she could see the vast sands and hills, the sun was setting over them, and as day turned to night she could see the lights of a distant road. She could even see the faint band of the Milky Way through the window, which amazed her, she had only seen it a few times in her life.

"Beauty, Ain't it?" Raegis asked, "Of course, you can't exactly see it from the city, but if you drive into the desert and just look up, you can see it whenever you want, there is almost never any clouds to get in your way or anything…."

"I love the stars." She said, "I used to obsess over space and dinosaurs when I was little, and ever since then I just kind of Forgot about all of it, crazy to think that it was a Damn Rock Millions of years ago that was as bright as one of those that caused all of this mess."

"And perhaps our existence to begin with." Raegis noted.

It took 3 hours for them to reach San Diego, and when they landed on a Helipad at the port they were immediately escorted to a ship. When they got to the dock and were prepared for onboarding she could see the Ship was named 'S.S Venture II' and that it was a Refitted Cargo ship, she could see special births on the side of the ship and marking that indicated it could deploy small boats and ships, as well as Amphibious craft. The Ship also had a Small Crane connected to a Cargo area, probably meant to put stuff into the interior. She didn't know why they would need that for this expedition, but perhaps it was just a built-in feature and it would be used for other missions.

"This ship can do Twenty-Four Knots and is built for rough seas, it will get you there just fine." The Captain said, "The Part I'd be worried about is the Destination, we have had little to no contact with Isla Muerta since the day you guys left, and no expedition was authorized. Word about the Island never really took off, InGen said the Lysine Contingency worked on the Island and it was a Combination of that and Biological Factors that took any Dinosaurs out, and an additional Exclusion zone was created around Muerta."

"Are you sure no one has gone back since?" She asked the Captain as they walked over the boarding gangplank and into the vessel.

"We haven't any reason to suspect that anyone has gone there, the part about Biological factors was the fabrication of a Virus that spread to the Dinosaurs, killing them off, no one wants to go there now since they also made up the fact that it could be spread to Humans." The Captain said, he waved his hand in the air as he spoke, "But of course, that's just more lies, the entire thing was a Cover up, one that InGen was able to hide, and of course after they just barely pulled through the entire thing they worked with Masrani Global at the soonest convenience."

"Anyway." The Captain said, "You guys will be the first people on the Island since 1998, and that means we have basically no idea what you will be finding, we have no idea which dinosaurs are still alive and which aren't, and how they reproduced since then, so you are going in blind basically."

"Comforting." Raegis said, right behind them.

"You guys will be armed of course, or your escort will be anyway, I don't think the wildlife will be the hindrance to the mission, but they did want me to tell you to bring back as much of the Hard drives as you can." The Captain said, they arrived at a hallway with several cabins on either side.

"These are your rooms, make yourselves comfortable and pray you are not seasick." The Captain said, leaving them. She ended up picking the Port Facing Room, it had a porthole to look out of and through it she could see the City Skyline of San Diego, and beyond that she could see the dark outline of the mountains.

She didn't have much to do, although she did bring a Backpack with a Lot of Recent Published Studies in it, she began to read while she waited for the ship to depart.

One of the studies she was reading was on a Particularly interesting Fossil Found in the Korean Peninsula, a Tyrannosaurus Rex with incredible Damage in the Process of being eaten by a Mosasaur, they had never expected to find it where it was, since Tyrannosaurus was a North American Therapod after all, and they managed to Carbon-date it to 72 Million years ago, before the dinosaur species was supposed to have arose in the first place. She wondered how it got there, although there were theories a Land Bridge Existed in the Cretaceous that wouldn't be enough to explain how it got there. Thus became the theory that some type of Landbridge they didn't know existed must have been during the Cretecous, and that theory was being contested.

Whatever the case, that wasn't her concern anymore. Now instead of worrying about Genetic Anomalies Sixty Million years past she had to worry about them now.

She sighed, putting the book up and looking out the porthole, she could hear the engine of the ship starting up, she felt the slow lurch of the ship as it began to move. Through the porthole, she saw the San Diego skyline begin to move, slowly, then quicker, and then the ship turned as it exited the breakwater and the city was no longer in sight. The Waves rolled by faster as the ship sped up, and eventually there was a sounding voice that boomed from loudspeakers.

"Attention all Crew Members, we've exited the Port and are now proceeding Directly to Isla Muerta, We can say with confidence at our speed we will arrive in about 36 hours, until then everyone is advised to report to the Briefing, which will be held in the hangar." The Voice said, before there was a sound indicating it was turned off.

She slowly got out of the bed, stretching. She only just now noticed how nice her quarters were, consisting of a Full Sized bed, a Sink and a Porthole, and given she had been on Cargo ships Twice in her life she wondered why she'd been given such a good room.
She walked out into the hallway, and only just noticed a Sign on the wall that had a Arrow pointing down it with the Word 'Hangar' next to it. She thanked whoever decided to make that convenient, and proceeded down to the hangar to get a full gist of the mission.

The Hangar ended up being not what she expected, although she wasn't quite exactly sure what she was expecting. From what she could see, the Hangar took up most of the ships interior, and on either side were 2 gates which separated it from the ocean, the center and keel were divided into 2 by a Catwalk, and on either side were a Small Boat designed to carry perhaps 6 or 7 people, the boats looked quite speedy, and she guessed they wanted that to make this a quick mission.

She ended up spotting a group of people, guessing they were there for the Briefing. She walked over to them and greeted them. There were over 19 people in all, not counting ship staff which seemed to not be concerned with what they were discussing.

"That's everyone." She heard one of them say, she noticed Dr Raegis seemed rather disinterested in all this.

"You should pay attention." She whispered, gesturing for him to do so. He grumbled before listening.

"Isla Muerta has been abandoned since the late 1990s, so obviously none of the electronics should be in proper working order." The Crew Member explained, "As the group leader, let me introduce myself as Commander Polt, I was on the Team that helped evacuate Civilians from Jurassic World And I've dealt with these guys on a couple of other occasions, But Isla Muerta is a different beast entirely." he said, "Unlike Isla Nublar, these guys have no observations, at least with Sorna we've had a couple people there every once in awhile, but this time we are going in 100% dark, all we have is a list of species that were cloned on the Island, and a basic map of it…"

The Commander looked at a List of Animals, before speaking.

"Tarbosaurus, Inostrancevia, Dinogorgon, Gojirasaurus, Lycaenops, Scutosaurus, Coelyphis, Procompsognathus, Albertosaurus, Kentrosaurus, Alamosaurus, Oviaraptor, Amargasaurus, Torosaurus, Chasmosaurus, Dryasaurus, Chungkingosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, and Nasuetoceratops." The Commander read the list.

"I don't remember most of those guys." Raegis said, "I knew we had a Permian division, but I thought their experiments were reaching a dead end."

"We also have some reports of Velociraptors being cloned on the Island, although these more-so resemble the ones in the fossil record, as well as that, there are some light evidence that there may have been 4 Nanotyrannus eggs that hatched just before the facility went offline." He said.

"I thought those guys weren't a real species?" Someone asked.

"Well, the Guys at InGen cloned some anyway, and they might have hatched, meaning they could be our problem." He said, he continued reading it aloud.

"Now the plan is simple, we will land on the East of the Island, our Friend Doctor Raegis has provided the Location of the Bunker facility, given he knows the Lock System, we will follow him and then retrieve the DNA and Genomes, which are stored in an RTG Powered special safe vault, once we have that, we get them back to San Diego and that's the end of it." He said, he put the paper away and coughed, everyone shifted and she gazed into his eyes as he suddenly stared at her.

"We are also counting on Paleontologist Doctor Alyssa to assist us in identification of these animals, it's of great interest to us how this ecosystem has evolved since the Animals were released, and this environment will be a unique one for certain, we have over 30 hours to prepare." He said, he stared at them all, "Once we are there, the ship will stay back off the coast as we do our job, then we head back and dock here."

"Get rested, as once we are there it will be a rather long and dangerous expedition, and there is a good chance not all of you will come back from this mission."
